I really enjoyed this book. Nothing like a man who falls head over heels for his woman at first sight of her. Insta-love at it's finest right here. The story kept me intrigued and leaves me wanting more. No mention of either h/H past relationships, no cheating or abuse, minor OM drama but it isn't from an ex or anything like that, dual POV, epilogue 5 years later.
Great job. So excited for the next book but afraid the H may be a little too mean. We'll see. I'm sure Ms. Ree will make it perfect regardless.

Pretty short and sweet with some steam.

He doesnt want the dog so he takes the dog to a animal shelter and meets Elyse. But their is some drama around them with Slaters step sister and her problems also we have other drama around the shop..
Zander and Rachel seem like thr next couple and i already wanna smack Zander for him being a jerk. Hopeful his story he isnt a jerk for to long.

Slater gets alot of changes in his life when a mysterious great aunt dies and leaves him a furry inheritance.
He and his two college bestfriends Zander and Brock who are also his business partners are a riot.
Taking his new dog to the shelter to find it a loving home he finds the love of his life.
Elyse volunteers at the shelter when she is not working at the hospital .
So when one of the towns hottest eligible business owners walks in with a furry friend she is dumbstruck.
Once she somehow convinced him to keep Duchess he asks for her help in buying the necessary things for his dog. Oh and a date.
She had no qualms about canceling her plans with her bestfriend Emerson .

While on a weekend vacation in NY they get a panicked call about his sister. He was an only child. Oh ex step sister. Rachel change number 3
Rachel is hiding from her abusive ex boyfriend. Who somehow found her.
Then the shop is broken into .
All hell breaks loose.
Zander and Rachel are at each others throats all the time driving everyone nuts.
Rachel ends up working at the shop as the receptionist. Zander had her staying with him for a beat to keep her safe but something happened between tnem hr could not handle and he turned into a big jerk. She moved into Elyse's apartment and Elyse moved in with Slater.
It is all good until Elyse gets a call from Rachel needing help, hekp being she needed her to by a pregnancy test. Which in a small town that likes to start rumors is a big ask.
But it was that rumor that spread as soon as she walked out of the store that saved their lives .
But the joy of pending fatherhood was shattered into bone crushing fear when her heard old Mr. Henderson answer his phone with call "9 1 1 girls need help"
Poor Slater never recovered from the fesr of loosing the love of his life, nightmares, cold sweats, poor Elyse could not go two feet without him panicking. Let's not talk about the walking coma indused tramce he went into when went into labor.
We end with happy tears. And anticipation for Rachel and Zanders story.

Slater and Elyse were so sweet! Slater, an auto shop owner, inherits a dog named Duchess from an aunt he never knew. Convinced that he does not have time for a dog, Slater immediately takes her to the nearby shelter where he sees Elyse, a volunteer, for the first time. She easily talks him into keeping Duchess as Slater falls in love with Elyse at first sight. Elyse is not that far behind him in the falling in love department as they progress through their relationship. They have no relationship angst, but some action is provided through an outside situation related to Slater's stepsister. First Sight is a safe, steamy read by a great author. There is no talk of the past and no om/ow drama.

This was a sweet adventurous read about Slater and Elyse. It was instalove and so instahot. Slater inherited cute Duchess and he didn't want her until he went to the shelter and saw Elyse. Somehow he ended up keeping Duchess and securing a date. I couldn't do reading until I finished this wonderful, thrilling, beautiful love story. This was an awesome start to this new series and I can't wait to read more by Loni Ree.

This story was sweet and romantic😍😍 Without real drama (OM/OW) but with action in it. Throw in a stepsister with a whole lot of baggage and a best friend that went nuts for her... and the chaos is complete😂😂. Slater and Elyse fell in love at first sight and found their HEA. A sweet story with steamy parts and a guy to swoon over. A must read for me and I can't wait that for Zanders and Rachels story... it will be awesome 👌

I enjoyed reading this book from the moment that I started reading it. It moves along at a great pace, which made an enjoyable read. You cannot help but fall in love with these characters. You want to know more about them and no matter what you want to see them succeed. The story will keep you turning pages until you get to the end and then you want to know more. This needs to be on your TBR list, no doubt about it.

Slater falls in love with Elyse at first sight. When he inherits a dog named Duchess, he doesn’t want anything to do with it so he goes to drop the dog off at the animal shelter and meets Elyse. Now he has the dog and the girl. I really enjoyed this book. I can’t wait for more in this series. The epilogue was good too. Loni did a great job yet again. Definitely recommend.

I loved this story. It was an entertaining twist on the usual instalove story. The characters were interesting and relatable.
Slater Torrey owns a garage with his two best friends. A man shows up telling him that not only did he have an aunt he'd never met, but that he had inherited her dog. Slater decides that he doesn't have time for a dog so he will take Duchess to the shelter to get a new home. What he finds when he gets to the shelter is his "One". Slater can't believe that with one look she owns him.
Elyse Sheridan is a nurse and volunteer at the local animal shelter. When Slater brings Duchess in, she convinces him to keep Duchess and he somehow convinces her to go on a date with him. Elyse is attracted to him immediately and has to talk herself down so she doesn't do anything she will regret later.
Slater and Elyse are so cute. I loved their dates and how sweet Slater was with figuring out ways for them to spend time together. There is a lot going on and sometimes their romance gets interrupted (just like in real life!) and they have to deal with stuff that comes up. Relationships are give and take and Slater and Elyse show they can make it. I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book!

The inherited furball had to go. To someone else's home, not his. And Slater might've been successful if he hadn't run into Elyse at the pet shelter who grabbed his heart at first glance. No matter what he wanted to do with the dog, there was no he'd actually do it if it meant upsetting Elyse. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Slater Torrey inherits a dog from an aunt he never met, he isn’t pleased. Slater becomes determined to re home his new pet. That soon changes when he walks into the animal shelter and meets Elyse.
The chemistry between Slater and Elyse is clear to see and I loved them as a couple.

I’m not sure what to think about this one. I liked it but then I started to get bored and then it was just. . . Meh.
I couldn’t understand what was happening half the time. And the whole Zander and Rachel side story was taking over the book to where I wanted to know what happened to make Zander such a jerk more than I wanted to know what was happening with the main characters. Soo ya, not sure about this one but I am interested in the next book so will see how that goes.

H inherited a dog from great aunt, goes to drop off at shelter where he sees h, she is unhappy he is leaving dog. H decided to keep dog and pursue a relationship with h, who is a nurse.
Little drama with H’s sister and her crazy ex. Grumpy co-workers was not helping the story. I felt it detracted from couple, but I understand it’s to setup next book.

I loved this book! I love all of Loni Ree’s books but this one was just a little more special!
When a alpha male falls hard in love on first sight....it really sets the tone of the book. Slater and Elyse’s story is short but packed with steam, romance and action. You won’t be able to but it down until the end.

My thoughts are that Elyse and Slater are made for each other... Like when Slater first sees Elyse and knows that is the women for him is AWESOME... Especially how that she is the very reason that he keep the dog that he got from his aunt that he didn't know that he had... He fall for her at First Sight and She did too..

Slater is a piece of work on how fast he got her to cooperate with his whims and how she had him in the palm of her hands.. they are steamy with epic proportions and the drama with Zander and Rachel has me dying.. he really needs to get the stick out out his @$$ lol..

Slater and Elyse were such a great couple. I’m not surprised Loni Ree once again got me to fall in love with the characters she writes because she has done it time and time again. I love that This big and tough alpha got a cute little pup and a HEA all in one day. Can’t say that I love to read romance stories more than when they are insta love!

Slater and Elyse's love story is great. No big stress concerning their relationship, just outside factors keep them on their toes. Slater"s step sister comes into town and she keeps everyone flying. Love at first sight
I enjoyed the book jyst A couple pet peeves, constantly getting annoyed with his friends never wanting to let her out of his sight, the constant bickering between his sister and friend Zander. I liked the short story and the instalove. A lot of love and little action never found out who broke into the garage.

Enjoyable read which felt far shorter than it was. **spoiler** As it went on, there was a little too much drama with the couple from the next book, and Slater got a little too protective. Good thing I'm not his woman because I would have told him to man the f... up!

So enjoyed this read. Slater got a unexpected inheritance: a dog. When he tried to get rid of it he meets the love of his life, Elyse, that convince him to keep it. Highly recommended
