THIS IS MY ONLY ACCOUNT. Born and reared in Wexford Town the South East of Ireland, but living with my husband and step-son in Cashmere Washington USA. I have been writing for over 14 years.I love to write stories for those who enjoy to read and experience new characters they can fall in love with. I do not write about butterflies and rainbows and probably never will. I write about love, sex, violence, war, paranormal and sometimes branch out into nonfiction, if, the story is one I feel needs to be told. I create fast paced, dark, strong men but stronger women, while making a point to writing for everyone regardless of sexual preference.
Molly requested the presence of Sekhet but the consequence of receiving it was one that she had to perform to save herself, but many others suffered too. Inheriting the gift from his father, Victor, a detective, can speak to ghosts who help with his investigations. The first of K K Weakley's books I've read and already looking forward to reading the next in the series. This paranormal story has a variety of characters, all introduced at various stages, integrating really well into the fast paced tale, keeping the flow just right. Great detail that gives your imagination an easy job when turning those pages over and over, waiting for the next event. Great read, thoroughly enjoyed!
Sekhet, oh Sekhet! What a perfectly wicked demon thou art! The diabolic name (and title) thrusts the reader into the lives and times of a band of modern-day witches, necromancers, seers and yes...demons. And it exposes the underworld’s dark retribution when one of the witches’ own dabbles in the dark arts. The novel begins with an introduction to the multiple players; characters the author defines artfully and completely. In fact, it is rather difficult to select one individual as the main protagonist in this story. None can be defined as simply “good” or “bad. Rather, each one is multi-dimensional, painted a dappled grey as we all are. Even the Hell Demon has some finer traits. For instance, she always keeps her promises—as dark and terrible as they might be! The story line starts slow with the intro of the characters and their many dilemmas. After Sekhet makes her appearance though, the brakes are off and you better hold on to your seat ‘cause we’re “off to the races” as our characters are hurled into one deadly situation after another. Well, deadly might be an understatement...actually burn-in-hell terrifying! Plot twists abound. The good sheriff provides quite a shake-up. As does the ending... biting my lip here, but book 2, please? First novel I’ve read by this author, and it won’t be the last. Well done, K.K.!
There are many books out there about witches, entities of unwanted spirits, and God knows I live in New England, witches and entities are no strangers in this part of the world. I read the book and wondering what Sekhet would be like. Well she is a creature of the dark and as such dwells on destroying, tormenting yet pleasing her master. Introducing the characters in the beginning of the novel, I found it is just a fantastic way to put the reader in a mind frame that this will have the best of both worlds, a detective novel with paranormal entities. The book is quite addicting, and after you read it, please burn some sage, it is very powerful. A must read. If you enjoy paranormal activities, witch stories, this is book for you.
Wow....I just finished this in 2 days. What a great book. This book has a great story line. The author gave you the sense of a little bit of everything ,as well as heartbreak, love, and a few surprises that blew me away. The ending leaves you wanting more. K.K Weakley is an incredible author and she did an amazing job leaving the ending open for the next book. Where's the sequel? I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. Great job K.K Weakley.
This is my first book I've read by this author and did enjoy this book, however, I did find myself losing interest half way through until the momentum picked up again. Great work!
Ghosts, demons and detectives... What could possibly go wrong?
Just finished this fantastic book by this author and I can't sit to read he next one. The story is set in Canada, beginning with cops who are leading dual lives. One foot in the real world other in underworld. While being able to solve mysteries with the help of ghosts and witches is fun, it has its price. You deal with powerful ruthless demons and work for Lucifer!
The narrative is fantastic and the end beautiful, the characters amazing. This is a must read for fantasy readers!
Fantastic Read, Wow! Great start for a series! Many perfectly developed integral characters blended with a gripping complex storyline! Applause to the author for keeping the details and characters straight while writing! Super talented writer! I am normally a nonfiction reader but the cover image and blurb had me instantly hooked me and drew me in. This story has something to offer lovers of many genres! Definitely will be waiting on the next book by K. W. Weakley!
Another knockout from this amazing author. Spellbinding and just fantastic, this is a book that kept me hooked for the next line, paragraph, check the next chapter. Can't wait for the next book in the series because things are just getting started.
This book was actually for my daughter but I decided to have a read of it myself. I have to say that once I started reading it I found it difficult to put down. The book flows at a wonderful pace and I found the characters well developed. K K Weakley is a brilliant and energetic young author and I for one can't wait for the next instalment of this series. Do yourself a favour and read this book.
This book takes you on a page-turning ride from a detective who gets his clues from the dead victims to a Hell Demon full of rage because,… well we can’t spoil the intrigue. There are a lot of family connections that build on each other for witch craft secrets and paranormal mischief. And then there are those that aren’t fully human that can’t resist the human form, especially when it’s female. So when those with special powers fall in love with humans the humans can be easy hostage for those with ill intent. All in all if you like fantasy, mystery, enjoy a romantic angle, have a group of characters that keep looking over their shoulders, turn pages because you need to know what’s going to happen next, this books for you. A real entertaining read by K K Weakley and this is only book one!
Wow, this was awesome. Wonderfully diverse and well-thought-out characters, fast pace that kept me turning pages well into the night, and beautiful writing. Sekhet is demons and mystery and romance all expertly cooked together in one thrilling tale. Recommended!
I must have been hiding under a rock this last year as this is the first K.K. Weakley book that I have read – and it won’t be the last… Oh boy, this is going to be such a hard book to review as I don’t want to give anything away. Okay, so first off, if you like witches, magic, demons, romance, necromancers, and seers, then this is the book for you. The story begins this Molly, a young witch who accidentally summons Sehket, a horrendous demon and, who I am ashamed to admit, I loved (I adored that the Hell-demon’s ‘good’ trait is that she keeps her promises – even if those promises are made good on horrendous acts!). The characters are of the perfect kind: all really well-developed – something that is a must for me – and all with good points and a ton of flaws. The dialogue is amazing, and K.K.Weakley’s wickedly morbid sense of humour is right up my street. This book delivers twists and turns in spades, and the ending? Well, you just know that the crap is about to hit the fan all over again. A brilliant read!!!
A great story told with an omniscient view-point. The characters are fallible, relatable and well developed. Their backstories were intelligently introduced without affecting the pace of the story. A very imaginative tale from K.K. Weakley and a great start to a series. As I read, it occurred to my how current the author’s style was. Her dialogue was bang on. Sometimes it felt as though the author was relating the tale around a campfire. What I found interesting is that despite a number of intriguing characters, I could not identify a main protagonist. This of itself added to the thrill. I was treated to twists, deception and a clever reveal toward the end. It’s a new take on demons. These ones display human elements along with the wicked diabolical parts we’ve grown accustomed to. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more from this author.
A detective who has an ability to see and talk to dead people and uses that ability to solve cases. A coven of witches where one of them makes a deal with a demon and the very devil himself, Lucifer all clash head on in a story filled with murderers, demonic possession and ghosts. The story thunders along like a run away train until the scary conclusion. I can not wait for the sequel.

This was a very good book how ever I do wish that the author had done more to make it more interesting. I look forward to reading more of this author's work.
Enthralling. Descriptive. Captivating. With a mix of witches, dark magic, and demons this book is perfect for anyone who likes the darker side of fiction. The descriptions were well done and really helped set the tone for the book. I felt like I could really see every drop of blood.
