I enjoyed the story and I would say I am looking forward to the next one, but I’m not sure if this is the end or not.

I liked this book, as I have liked all of Gemma Jackson’s books! I would love it if she would write another book in the “Krista Series.” I am a big fan of all these books that Ms. Jackson has written and will continue to look for anything else she has written as I am sure that I will enjoy reading it with a cuppa!

I love all of Gemma Jackson books! There is nothing better to sit down with a cup of tea and a Gemma Jackson book. I am a huge fan and I just finished reading the last book in the Krista series. I hope perhaps another book might come out in this series. It seems like there is room to develop Krista’s story a bit further. I will keep looking out for anything hat Gemma Jackson writes!

Gemma Jackson, you, are very sneaky. The endings to each book drop off like a broken cookie. They suck because now you can't eat them. If you read the 4 shorts in this series, you will probably do so as soon as possible. (5 second rule) It is clean, interesting and I'm just a fan of the author. Although the story seemed rushed and somewhat predictable, you can't go wrong with interesting details and a talent to write. 4 stars because I wasn't sure I liked where the story was taking me. Then, to my surprise, it ended with a neat little bow on top. Kudos to the storyline and all the excitement along the way!

Hope 4 more

This 4th book is fantastic it really is exciting And Visually appealing when it comes to how the Nazi soldiers are acting. I hope if that there is either 5th short story or a full length book about krista and her fight as a spy along with perry

I need to make a correction on my review on book 3. Book 3 review should have actually been the book to review All I can say is that I am sorry and that People should read the entire series.

I loved the final book. Kept me interested till the end. Surprised at how the author finished the book but on reflection it was fitting and another book could be written in the future about Krista's life during and after the war. Thoroughly enjoyed Krista's journey from beginning to end. Sad to finish her journey.

Loved all the books. I have read all of Gemma Jackson’s books and from the moment I start one it grips me and I can’t put them down. Just finished Christas chance last night and like another reader wish that series had been all one book because I read them in a few hours. I love her characters and the way she writes them. I feel as though I know them.

Terrific 4 part story

Interesting tale of sorrow, happiness, and intrique as you follow Krista from her miserable existence in France to the enlightened life in Great Britain she shares with members of mobility and her subsequent life of rescuer in Germany at the beginning of the Nazi horrors!

Continuing great series

This continues Krista's story. This installment was particularly good as she goes into Germany to attempt a rescue. I just wish this was all in one book so I wouldn't have to constantly be waiting for the next installment.

Exciting fast moving book.

I was excited to get this book which I read in 1 night. Very fast moving story & sad. Such a dreadful time in history. Complete madness, that I fear might come again. As usual, I can't wait for the next one.

This is fourth in a series of very short novels about the title character. I always love Gemma Jackson’s books, but I’d rather this was just one whole book. Having to recall the characters after having read several other books in between is challenging.

I didn't want this story to end!

A real page turner! The journey the main character takes is one of courage and bravery. A truly strong female in a troubled era for women. A book of fiction that felt like reality. Love Jemma's keen ability to write a beautiful story!

Should have been one book.

I enjoyed the story I enjoyed the characters the only thing I didn't enjoy is what should have been 1 book was divided into four. I was always having to stop and start a new book.

Gemma Jackson is a master storyteller. Read about Krista!

This was a good way to look @ the German occupation thru the eyes of a young couple. Krista’s journey was brave and she succeeded at everything she tried, making a new life for herself.

The 4 books in this series are very short and they could very easily be just one single book so feel ripped off paying for 4! Books were boring too, definitely no page turners here! Very very disappointing

A Very Good Story

These books kept me in suspense. I liked the detailed description of the lower class of people to the beautiful wardrobe. I felt the strength and determination of Krista and Perry. I was glad for the opportunity to read each book.

The Pain, the Pain @ FEAR

I don't think,no,I know, I would never had the guts to do that.
All of the last two generations should read this. At times in 2022, I'm very aware of what could happen again. This generation in particular have no idea.
Gemma, thank you

Yikes! Scary times.

Going into Nazi Germany as a spy is more than most of us can fathom. The stress, the danger, the discomfort of the unknown...how would you bear it? Each book keeps getting better and better as the story progeesses.

Ok

I enjoyed the story but it would have been more enjoyable as one book instead of four short stories. Kind of silly the way it was presented.

Action Packed

Exciting story, over too soon. This series could easily carry on through the years as our heroine finds herself in time of war.

Author looses track of story line

After reading 4 books I am left hanging. Typical of this author. It’s as if she cannot find a good ending. She just stops.
