Susan Wise Bauer is an American author, English instructor of writing and American literature at The College of William and Mary, and founder of Well-Trained Mind Press (formerly Peace Hill Press).
This is the last and final book of The story of the world by Susan Wise Bauer. This is the story that lots of you might know as it is from our times like the 18th century to the 20th century. They talk about queen Elizabeth one and the USSR. This didn’t really teach me whole lot as I already knew some but, if you want to go deeper into the stories of our world this would help you in your journey. I don’t want to spoil the story, but I got something. This book is on the next level, thinking a step forward or maybe outside the box. Susan Wise Bauer, an extraordinarily thing person, a mind so great no one can defeat it. This collection is so far my 2nd favourite and maybe it could be your number one. This book also talks about the battle of Iran and natural disasters like the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami
If you love history and learning more about all that you would love this but I’m much more of a young adult reader but this book was still so good. I really liked learning about history. Ps. There was so much war included which honestly is a bonus.
My review of the text still reflects how I feel—though now I have few doubts that Bauer is indeed slanted on some of her representations. Much of the book is good, and I still don’t know a better option. But for example, I hated how she finished up the section on David Livingstone. The activity guide is pointless as far as most activities go for us this year. I think I’m getting burnt out. We do very few activities. But I like having the questions to reinforce what they learned, the maps are great, and the outlines are a nice addition. We stopped the outlines at the end, because I have my kids busy writing about the presidents.
