Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .
I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.
3rd in the Gypsy Moth series. Can be read as a standalone but better if the prior books were ready for connectivity. And the afterwards.
The Captain of the Gypsy Moth thought himself rid of his wife but she’s back on his ship with an unexpected surprise. A daughter that soon has him wrapped around her little fingers.
A explicitly sexy science fiction romance. The daughter brings this story to life with her cuteness and mysterious invisible friend.
I listened to the audiobook. The narrator did a good job with different voice inflections.
Wealthy businessman Darren Thorne is a silent partner financially fronting the BBI Academy where the elite mercenaries of the future are trained. Recent events have pulled him into the day to day running of the Academy as it seems an unknown mastermind is making a play to eliminate competition in the mercenary assassin industry.
After a failed assassination attempt is thwarted, Darren finds himself reunited with his long lost love Francesca who mysteriously disappeared in Paris just as the two were getting serious.
After going to extremes to locate Fran to no avail, Darren now finds that the love of his life is really Marina Sokolov, a Russian mercenary, sent to kill him after gaining access to his computer secrets.
Darren wants answers and is prepared to do whatever's necessary to get them. Even if it requires the ultimate sacrifice of seducing her to get what he wants. Trouble is Marina plays dirty and knows how to get under Darren's skin herself.
Who will come out on top and who will let them? Let the battle begin .....
* * * *
This is the 4th installment in the "Bad Boys Inc" series that can be read as a stand alone but only can be fully appreciated if having already read "Pint Sized Protector" which first introduced Darren and Marina and serves as the intro for this story.
I want to start out by saying that this is a book for fans of strong female lead characters. I was once asked for a book recommendation that featured a strong female lead. Not one who may have been strong in theory but became submissive or passive in bed. They wanted a female who was equal to their male counterparts. Well my friends - this is it. The total package female who knocked it out of the ball park for me. In the style of "Guardians Of The Galaxy," "Mission Impossible," "James Bond," or similar action adventure types movies, this story takes the reader along as a side kick voyeur as a snarky couple work to thwart the bad guy elements as a growing lust/love increases between the two.
Romance. For those who are on a need to know basis - there is adult content romance scenes but not to any overly smutty or graphic degree. Just enough to bring that shitty ass smile front and center for the reader. Nothing wrong with that right?
Secondary characters. I would love to highlight these characters who made an impression on me but the story is a mystery-suspense-thriller so who falls on the good side of things and who the bad side of things is not something I'm prepared to do. Just know that everyone is suspect in this story and potential readers will have to ferret out the "who done it" answer for themselves.
My issues are vague as I'm not quite sure my take on this is accurate. Having read "Pint-Sized Protector" about a year ago, I seem to recall that Darren was pretty insightful and able to guarantee his personal safety with the added ability to take care of business when needed without help. It was eerily psychic how efficient he was. In this story I didn't get that same feeling. Just sayin'
The other issue is that once again the author wrapped up things too quickly (but pretty darn spectacular) and conveniently. How this could have been changed or altered to balance things is a difficult concept for me to fathom as I don't regret one single solitary scene leading up to the conclusion. Maybe it's withdrawal or something similar as I really didn't want this story to end.
Last point of fact. I'm totally bowing in gratitude that the author didn't go the humor/comedy route she's known for in this story. Snark is different and totally appreciated. So, while the content wasn't dark or leaned into the serious spy/secret agent/mercenary killer format, the actual story line pulled in the action adventure thrill experience required to pull it off.
This is a book I'd recommend for fans of contemporary romantic suspense action adventure stories that include adult content scenes. Sure to bring a smile to your face as this is a refreshing take on females who have what it takes to play with the big boy macho men of the world.
I thoroughly enjoyed this! Tons of action and suspense and some hot loving. I don't want to say too much for fear of giving things away, but there was more than one twist that caught me off guard.
Well I mean; it's just your average hp where the h betrays the H to save their unborn child, then rescues the vat-grown baby and spends the next nearly 5 years hiding from Spaceballs before finally giving in and contacting the H for help.
errr....WHAT?!
(deep breath)
Five years ago the H/h met in a bar, got married, and shortly afterwards, she passed, out, found out she was pg, attempted to wipe all traces of the blood drawn from records, got tranq.ed, woke up in a strange hotel with no baby on board, got a video recording of the now term baby in a vat and orders to DO SOMETHING or she'd never see it again, so she did and got one of the crew members shot up and widowed in the process, so she ran, and after figuring out the baby was about to be sold to space ball piloting space gypsies, grabbed it and has spent the past five years playing dodgeball throughout the universe before finally contacting her spouse in hopes he'd at least want to save his kid, only he didn't know about the kid so after an attack by drones, gets her onboard and tosses her in the brig, then they get chased themselves around the universe by a spaceball before splitting up, then dropped on an unknown planet due to the munchkin hacking their system at the behest of her invisible dead space gypsy friend, then the dirty ball shows up and the invisible friend gets mommy on the dirty ball so he can destroy it and... Well, it sort of made sense when I read it.
It does tie into the Space Gypsy series, which I have not read. Guess I have some reading to do.
The parts with Kobrah, Dara, and/or their daughter interacting were enjoyable.
However, at the beginning it says it's a standalone. While some things will make a little more sense if you've read the earlier Gypsy Moth books, I think you'd be ok if you hadn't. But this then veers back into what happened way after King ended, and I don't think the stuff with the Rhomanii will make much sense if you didn't read the Space Gypsy Chronicles. And since I'm likely not the only one still annoyed at how that series ended, I really hadn't planned to go back there and wasn't thrilled to find myself there. It looks like the crossover will continue with the next Gypsy Moth book, and I'm not sure I'll be continuing with it.
This was a great second chance story! Full of suspense, action, and in outer space, and none of it diminished how much our hero and heroine still had deep feelings for each other. As much as they fought it, it was futile. But the things kept happening, and somehow that only deepened their feelings and brought them closer together. Wonderfully narrated it kept me completely enthralled with the story!
I got to be honest here and admit that I totally requested this book based on the blurb alone... it just seemed so full of action and drama! Also, I love a good alpha male. Well, I definitely got that and something else entirely that I was not expecting, or even knew I wanted. A complete kick-ass heroine who out-alphas the man. While Francesca was a bit cold, mechanical, and a complete fireball towards Darren throughout the book, I can not fault her for her ways. Read the book... find out why.
While I have not read the previous books in the series (as I didn't even investigate this while signing up to review this)... after some mild adjusting I was totally able to get into the story. It can totally be read as a standalone! If this book is any indication on how the series is, I will be signing up for all the books to read. While I can't speak for other books, yet, Hitman Wedding was full of action, danger, twists, espionage, assassins, weapons, and some good old sexual tension sprinkled with adrenaline rush with sass talk.
As I mentioned before Francesca is this completely badass Russian assassin who had an encounter with Darren long ago in Paris... Well more like loved and ran away from. Darren who just happens to be a trainer/owner of an elite special agent school who trains and helps with job placement once graduated. Only to appear by nefarious chance at the same place and time and on the same island with the man she ran away from.
So the book does pick up in the middle of something that what I can only assume happened at the end of book 3, which I did not read. So finding the equilibrium in the book was a bit of an adjustment, however, I pushed through it! The story revolves around the two meeting up together under dangerous situation that forces them to reacquaint with each other under pressure of life and death.
3.5 stars This is 4th in the BadBoy series. I had not read the previous, and it would've been useful to have read them. It made the beginning rather rocky for me. It starts in the middle of a conversation and since I didn't know the characters I had a difficult time figuring it out who was who and what in the world was going on. Once I sort of figured it out, it moved fast and there was a lot of action. We have a Russian agent/assassin posing as a model who runs into one of her previous targets, the owner of an assassin school. Apparently they had a thing that made it tough for her to take him out in the past as she'd been assigned to do. Someone's after him and he ends up hiring her to protect him. I thought that a plot stretch, really. But we needed a way to keep the characters together. For our heroine, who doesn't love a badass female character? She's a bit over the top tough but I appreciated her self-reliance and strength. The hero I wasn't in love with but he had some striking moments. The characters were written with smoldering chemistry. I was provided this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
4⭐️THIS WAS GOOD! I only wish the end made more sense. It was difficult to know who the bad guys were and who was truly betraying who. There was also some questions that were raised that were never answered; like the tattoo and scar on the captain. Who the teacher was, how many other citadel fleets are there if this is some dying race…. Hopefully these get answered in the next book. The next book has to be AMAZING I can tell by the snippet of book 4. I’ll be looking for it but the rest of this book felt much fuller than the ones before it. I love me a Black MC in an alien romance! I’ll be recommending this book while hunting for the next.
Darren really is in for a wild ride wuth his woman, “keep looking at me like that, and I will climb you right now.” She winked, and he might have growled." Oh my God this woman is something else, “if you’re not jacking off, then why were you yelling? Were you regretting your decision to turn me down? I can see why you’d be disappointed. I am that good.” I loved this book, I fell in love with the banter and Darren.
Francesca Parron who's real name was Marina Francesca Sokolov found one of her associates murdered and she knew whoever killed was coming after her next, so did what she had to in order to survive...she ran. She just never expected to run into the arms of the man she left behind years ago.
Darren Thorne (whom we've met in PINT-SIZED PROTECTOR) fell in love with another operative years ago while in Paris on a mission. She ripped his heart out and crushed it just when he was ready to confess his love. Now he had her in his sight again and there was no way he was letting a change to get answers go.
He knew that Marina was a killer for hire, he wanted to know whom she worked for. She told him what she could then he turned around and hired her as his bodyguard and his plus one to Reaper's wedding.
Protecting Darren wasn't and easy task, the man was being difficult. No matter what they said, the former lovers still cared about each other. As they spent time together, they started to reconnect. They also came up with a crazy plan which changed both their lives forever.
Reaper (DEADLY MATCH) and Annique's wedding day was supposed to be used as a trap to lure whoever was trying to kill the operatives of Bad Boy Inc. and the other operatives out. Instead Darren made some changes.
Many were surprised by his actions. And it turned that the mastermind was someone none of them expected. Marina and Darren finally got their HEA as well as Reaper and his beloved.
HITMAN WEDDING is the fourth book in Eve Langlais' BAD BOY INC. series. Wow what a wonderful and breathtaking journey. It was humorous, sizzling, full throttle and fascinating. Loved all the twists and turns. Two thumbs up!
I stopped reading this at around 18% - skimmed the rest until I got to the end and read the last couple of chapter or so. This book is connected to the Space Gypsy Chronicles . In the previous books there were some vague references but not like this. I guess if you want some updates on what happened to Rafe, Emma, and Mikhail go for it. I just despised that whole series and want nothing to do with it. What I read didn't make it any better and I don't look forward to reading anymore about it. I'm done with this series.
Authors note from the back of the book: As you noticed, this story kind of dipped into the Space Gypsy world because, lo and behold, the story was far from done when they escaped in King. What happened after they left? Not just to the planet but Emma, Mikhail, and Rafe. How did Annabelle end up betraying them? Or did she come to her senses? We might just have to find out.
Note from newsletter: (PS. For those curious about the citadel that escaped in King. It's been found, hundreds of years later, and you get a glimpse of what happened.)
That right there is another pet peeve of mine - going back to the past. Eve Langlais is one of my top 5 all time favorite authors. She's also my number one read author of 99 books read - but I just can't do anything with these characters in it. Just make me so annoyed all over again. So nope I'm done.
I almost gave this book a 3 star instead of a 4 but it does have an intriguing story. It isn't a standalone. For full understanding it is best to have read at least book 1 if not both installments before this story. Also, not until I got more into this 3rd installment did I realize that this trilogy (to date) is actually a spin off of a series this author released in 2017 before this one in 2018.
I like the strong and interesting lead female characters in all 3 books. There is no other way to say this but that the male leads are all pussy-whipped, not hen pecked exactly, but definitely not the ones controlling and driving the story or the romance. Dara is cool and unique, and still, dissimilar from Michonne and Ghwenn who we met in The First Mate's Accidental Wife and The Cyborg's Stowaway. Karo ("Daughter' in the title) is rather spooky.
At this point I have been left with numerous questions. I'm sure that I can get some answered if I go back and read the 4 books in the Space Gypsy Chronicles, but they follow the same characters through the series which is not a format that I usually read. Additionally, I'm not sure that I'll stay in this author's world much longer, as book 3 foreshadowed and ended with a bit of a cliffhanger for a book 4, The Gypsy and the Galactic Sheik, which as yet has not been released within the last year, following the release of the all 3 in the series within a 6 month period in 2018.
This is part of a trilogy in the In the Stars Romance series.
First Mate's Accidental Wife The Cyborg's Stowaway The Captain's Secret Daughter
Book 1 and 2 were not enjoyable to me. They've got dubcon, power imbalances, misogyny. I think this author thinks that a man calling a strange woman "sweetheart" is actually a real term of endearment. When she mentioned it in book 1, I thought it was surely sarcasm, but then she says it again in book 2. Book 1 also goes out of it's way to describe that human servants were having a great time being diddled by the aliens. These are far from the only instances.
Book 3 was okay for me actually. The prisoner thing felt more justified because mfc did commit a terrible crime. And even so, it felt like she had more agency over herself and the story. The premise was just weird as hell, too. Points for creativity there.
Too confusing, too silly to enjoy. Give it a miss and save yourself the headache of trying to get to the end. What a shame this book is so poor in a series that started so well. Especially as I wanted to know Darren’s story after reading PINT SIZED PROTECTOR. The humour fell so flat as to be downright embarrassing. I struggled to even comprehend how this was part of the series. Marina was a brainwashed psychopath killer, Darren went from being someone whose story I wanted to read to this weak idiot who kept chasing a woman trying to kill him. Talk about thinking with his small head. He even went so far as to marry her and demand she spend time with him after blowing up the church with all his friends in it. Just a big no. No humour, nor chemistry, no relationship, no like.
Darren and Fran/Marina’s story was such a wild ride! The constant danger, surprise twists, and unpredictable moves kept me on the edge of my seat! I couldn’t put the story down, and definitely couldn’t predict the ending, making this book an absolutely easy 5 stars ⭐️
I went with 3.5 stars for this one because while I think it was a fun read with decent characters, I didn’t like the simple yet far-fetched way it wrapped up the long term, on-going storyline that has run through all the Bad Boy Inc books.
Ratings Breakdown
Characters - 3/5 Marina and Darren made for a fun couple when put together since they were both major opposites in some ways and very similar in others. Individually, though, they lacked. Darren seemed a bit wishy-washy for someone running Secundus, and I really don’t understand how a guy as romantically inclined as him confused his feelings for Fran (who he realizes halfway through the book he only screwed and never even talked to) with true love. I can understand how he falls for Marina quickly, as she is someone who challenges him, but seeing that I wanted to punch Marina in the face for most of the book because she was so arrogant, I kind of felt sorry for him that he was so in love with her!
Plot - 3.5/5 The plot of this individual book was good right up to the end. I loved the fast pacing and the way that the intense action scenes were dotted with equally aggressive sex scenes. Toward the end, however, we get the Big Reveal, and it left me with a WTF?! moment. THIS is what has been building up for four books? THIS is the answer to the extremely complex things happening all around the world? I’m sorry, but it’s just not believable. Plus, the ending where Marina and Darren hash out their differences to get their HEA was simply giggle worthy. I won’t spoil it, but I will say it will leave you HANGING!!! (It’s not a cliffhanger, just an inside joke you will understand if you take the time to read!). Though the major storyline didn’t work, I enjoyed the plot of this one book, so I am going for 3.5 stars here.
Sexiness - 5/5 I found the romance scenes in this book to be much hotter than the previous Bad Boy Inc books, as well as more believable. Loved it!
Pacing - 4/5 Great pacing through the beginning and middle of the book, but in the end it all feels rushed. I believe the ending would have made more sense if Eve had spent a bit more time expunging on the details and really filling in what had happened instead of dumping it on you in the last ten percent of the book.
There are many things that could make a man nervous in his life. Waiting for test results - especially when they involved your man junk. Wondering if the broken condom would have repercussions. And finding out you were about to put your life, much too high above the solid ground, in the hands of the slightly crazy Russian broad you once used to sleep with who thought flying when the enemy had helicopters was a good plan! "You cannot seriously think this is a good idea." Fran waved a hand at him and had one argument for his rant. "Don't be a baby." "I am not being a baby!" he yelled, being a baby. At the realization, he clamped his lips, took a few deep breaths through his nose then, more calmly, said, "This plan of yours is fucking insane." "You know what your problem is," she said, checking the plan, running her hand over the body, looking beneath it at the wheels and undercarriage. "You don't like other people in charge. You have control issues." "I know. It's why I'm the fucking boss." "At your school, yes. Perhaps even at Bad Boy because of your friend Harry. But not with me. You cannot tell me what to do." She stood and faced him, and while she bore the face of the woman he'd once loved, she was a harder version, assertive on a level he'd not often met even among men. She didn't back down. She stuck to her guns, and damned if he didn't respect that. It was also a lot hotter than it should have been.
In Eve Langlais' fourth Bad Boys Inc novel, readers are invited to the wedding of the century! The courtship involves espionage, betrayal, some bombs going off, lots of firepower and the extremely sizzling chemistry between the soon to be wedded couple! Francesca and Darren have a past that involves a lot of lying, a lot of sex and definitely a lot of killing, that soon ended with Francesca leaving without a trace. When they meet again, there are a still a lot of killing and yes lying is still involve and sex is very much on everyone's mind. But this time around Francesca is now Marina Sokolov, bodyguard for hire or assassin for the right price. Now, Darren finally has the means to get an answer but this time around is love is very much on the table. But is Marina telling the truth or is she hiding something much more serious than even Darren can ever guess. Hitman Wedding follows the incidence of the second book but can be read as a standalone for the most part. Marina and Darren's chemistry equals mayhem and chaos and lots of sexy times that would have readers guessing what happens next. And asking the question whether Marina is as much of a sociopath as one would think! Hitman Wedding is funny, action packed, extremely sexy and a nice read for any one willing to go on this wild ride of a romance.
Here comes the confession, I've never read part of Eve Langlais's Bad Boy Inc. series. In fact, before this title, I'd never heard of this author. But let me just say, for as confused as I was at the start of Hitman Wedding, I was so into it. From the first page, my heart was pumping and I was dying to know what in the world was going on.
Holy crap! Was Marina a force to be reckoned with. I loved all the new sides of her that came out as the attacks and danger never let up. She was bold and fearless yet so uncertain with her feelings that I just knew it would only be a matter of time before her head and heart were also at war. About Darren. I will say that I found Darren a bit weak at times but when it mattered the most, he stepped up.
The job. The mission. The life. The one she couldn't escape no matter how hard she tried. Darren didn't make it easy on her either. Even with his feelings as all over the place as hers, he just couldn't deny what his heart wanted. Was it foolish. Yes. Did it stop him from taking major risks? Nope.
And that final twist completely blindsided me- and Marina too. Talk about unexpected. From Florida, to Paris to Russia and back again, Eve Langlais had me hanging on every page. With non-stop action and plenty of steam between Darren and Marina, I couldn't stop reading.
Marina “Francesca” Sokolov lets us know that a mystery is afoot. And she made me glad that I was able to go along for the ride. Darren Thorne thinks he’s the man in charge but it was interesting to watch Marina prove him wrong. Both these characters have strong personalities. Sometimes it was hard to figure out what were truths and which were lies. But that’s a good thing because that was one of the reasons to keep turning the page. The other reasons would be the mystery and suspense and not to mention the action. Our author was smart by having the questions about truth and lies go all the way to the end. We are always curious as to whether we ever find out the answers. And I was curious to find out who finally ended up on top.
As mentioned in the title, there’s a wedding. I wanted to see if I got to be a guest or not. Too bad I’m on a liquid diet or I’d have a piece of cake handy – I like chocolate, wonder if they’ll have chocolate? Maybe marble? I like plenty of frosting – got to feed my sweet tooth. The ending was perfect because I wouldn’t have expected any less from Marina and Darren. Saw the cover of the next book – where will the author’s imagination take us next.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
I'm in love! With this author's writing, with Marina, with Darren, with this terrific story, need I go on? This is my first read by this author so I didn't know quite what to expect and this was a terrific surprise of fast-paced action, sexy romance, even sexy characters, and laughs. I loved the humor in this story. The witty banter and snarky comments were so funny and added levity amidst the violence and mayhem. The very capable Russian femme fatale Marina, super assassin is my new favorite heroine. She chewed up the bad guys, and Darren, and spit them out. I loved that she took Darren out of his comfort zone. He did a great job of keeping up with her even when his Alpha personality was challenged. And speaking of Alpha. He's hot! He made my lady parts tingle. As the owner of a mercenary training school he's no slacker but his desk job has him a little behind in field expertise. But Marina will protect him at all costs. And there are lots of bad guys trying to kill him. But the mystery of the Mastermind has them stumped. A very entertaining spy thriller with great mystery, fabulous characters, action and adventure, suspense, danger and some many laughs. Terrific!
4.5 Stars for Hitman Wedding which is book 4 in the Bad Boy Inc Series but this book can be read as a stand-alone I know this because I haven’t read the previous books in the series and I still loved this story. Eve Langlais is an author I have touched on but for some reason that I can’t explain I seem to have missed some books certainly this series was an a miss that should never of happened well now I have admitted that I promise I will be going back to read the previous books in this series. If you want a book that’s full of action, suspense, twists, a lot of great banter and some seriously passionate times you will want to read this book, the Wedding of the century is about to take place and we are all invite to enjoy the celebrations as well as some unexpected events like exploding bombs !!!! I loved this story I loved the characters and the banter they shared, the chemistry was sizzling and it was really a fun book to read. Thank you Rare 19 London for putting me back on track with this very talented author who I can’t wait to meet next year.
4 star review Hitman Wedding (Bad Boy Inc. #4) by Eve Langlais
This was a new author to me and I have absolutely no idea why that is. I have to thank the fact that I am attending RARE19 London next year for discovering Eve Langlais.
This was a fun, fast paced read with plenty of action. Although this is book 4 I was able to follow the story line so that I enjoyed this read. However, when time permits I will go back and read the previous books and then perhaps to a re read as I feel I would get more enjoyment if I knew a little more of the back story.
Having been burnt by Francesca (now known as Marina) before, Darren is out for revenge and this time around he plans to win.Having said that he doesn’t realise just how much she has burrowed under his skin and he finds himself tempted once again.
There was danger and suspense but also plenty of sizzling scenes, humour and a hero that made me swoon.
Hitman Wedding is the fourth book in the Bad Boy Inc. Series by Eve Langlais. It was really fun to read this fast-paced, action-packed story. The book was full of twists and suspense that kept me on my toes from the very beginning. I have not read the previous books in the series, but there was enough information so that I wasn’t lost.
The chemistry and passionate times between Darren and Marina (Francesca) was sizzling. Both characters were very strong and well-developed and I loved their witty banters. The last twist was shocking and I loved how the story was wrapped up at the end. I really enjoyed the book and would greatly recommend it to others who want some thrill and action.
I received an advance reviewer copy of the book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
* I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own *
This is the story of Darren employee of Bad Boys Inc and he is out for revenge. Being made a fool of in Paris a while back by the woman he thought he had fell for, now he has found her again and this time its not going to be so easy, (…..so he thinks LOL) Francesca is now working as a bodyguard/assassin and is calling herself Marina Sokolov, when she meets up again with Darren sparks fly as well as bullets. Marina is in a dangerous situation but could letting Darren in again make things worse or better for them both. This story had a lot of chemistry between the two and there was a lot of action and suspense. Although this can be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading the previous books only to get a good idea of the characters.
I am really enjoying this series. I think this is the meatiest book in the series ever, with more twists and cunning women than ever.
Marina and Darren met a couple of years ago when they had an affair while she was acting on orders to get close to him. She left and left him brokenhearted. Now she's back in his clutches he wants answers...to so many questions he himself wasn't ready to have answered.
As they dodged bad guys (?) and each other, Darren realizes that Marina is so much better than the persona she adopted when they first met, though she is a little crazy and a heck of a lot harder to handle. In fact, she handles him more. Hahaha. Action from one chapter to another. And that twist in the end... which makes me want a back story there. So interesting!!
Such a fun fun book and I hope the next book is just as good!
I enjoy most all of Eve Langlais’ books. She has mastered the art of mixing humor with romantic suspense. This series is filled with plenty of both. I’m only sorry I waited so long to read it.
I’m so glad that Darren found his HEA! This book is nearly non-stop action mixed with a large dose of steamy quickies. The main reason for docking 1 star was the ending. It felt a bit forced, like she’d written herself into a corner, and when page count was long enough, she just ended it. Sort of. She did make it make sense though. As usual, the epilogue set up for the next book nicely. I’m looking forward to reading it soon. Solid 4 stars for this one. Definitely a favorite in the series.
