Deception is book twelve in the Harbour Bay series by Camille Taylor. Jack Hill is hunting an international arms dealer and military contractor, Chris Carson, who got most of his team killed in Afghanistan. However, Chris Carson keeps getting away. When Jack Hill's supervisor discovers that Chris has a wife, Eden Delaney sends Jack to insert himself and his son into her life in Harbour Bay. Is Eden Delaney innocent of crimes and the location of her husband, Chris Carson, or is she guilty of keeping his were about secret? The readers of Deception will continue to follow Jack Hill and Eden Delaney to discover what happens.

Sadly, this series is coming to an end. Deception will be the last book Camille Taylor's readers hear about the people of Harbour Bay. I engaged with the characters and the plot from the first page, and it continued to the end. I love Camille Taylor's portrayal of her characters and the way they interact with each other throughout this book. Deception is well-written and researched by Camille Taylor. I like Camille Taylor's description of the settings of Deception, which allowed me to imagine being part of the book's plot.

The readers of Deception will understand the consequences of destroying trust and how it affects the community. Also, the readers will learn about the problems of single fathers who raise their children and work full-time.

I recommend this book.
