DYLAN HART IS THE SPECIAL OPS BAD BOY WITH NO PAST. THAT’S ABOUT TO CHANGE... Dylan had shown up in Colorado as a teenager on the run for his life. He’d left his name behind, along with any record of his existence. He had no family, no friends, and no connection to anyone in the world except the men out to find him and kill him. The last place in the world he thought they would ever look was Denver, Colorado. He’d been right.
THE CHOP-SHOP BOYS OF STEELE STREET Within weeks of his arrival, he’d been scooped up by a crew of juvenile car thieves, and together they became legends on the streets of the Mile High City. Years later, they are the legends known as Special Defense Force, SDF, an elite team of soldiers tasked by the United States government to protect the country from threats both near and far. But you can never leave your past behind, and Dylan’s day of reckoning has arrived. His long, lost past is headed straight at him at 100 miles per hour in a Porsche 718 Cayman – and there isn’t anybody who can stop i
Loved it! I thought book twelve would never come, so super excited that it did! I loved re-visiting with all the great characters from the first eleven stories and learning where they all are now. Same fantastic group of kick-ass men and women and their hot cars! Mega-cursing throughout story! I hope there will be even more books to the series!
Even now that they have family, there's no rest for the badass men and badass women on 738 Steele Street in Denver, Colorado. More centered on Dylan Hart, with Hawkins and brief apparition or mention of half the gang, this novella is for the fans and I think you better read the series first if you want to enjoy this story. With less than 100 pages, obviously the pace was very fast but it was cool to see the gang again. I wanted to do a reread of the series but have too many books to read and so little time. But no worry, it felt as if it was yesterday that I met the Steele Street men and women😛.
It include an other novella, Panama Jack, that was previously part of an anthology.
I really liked this series when I read them, but it's been a long time since a new book has come out. So when I saw this one, even if it's a short one I was excited. I liked that we got to check in the with characters, to see them living their lives happy, still kicking ass and having fun. Dylan's brother showing up really seemed to throw him. I liked how Skeeter couldn't look away, to her it was like looking at a younger Dylan, it fascinated her. To Dylan it was his past he long ago forgot, coming back to haunt him. But like always the Steele Street crew did what they had to to keep one of their own safe and now they have a new member.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Dylan Hart’s past comes calling when a young man who could be a young doppelganger lands in hospital with a gunshot wound.
Dylan has always known his stepfather would never give up searching for him, but thought his tracks were covered. He’d changed his name, made a new life for himself, married the woman of his dreams, and ran a highly secretive government Special Defense Force, yet the ghosts of his past haunted him still.
Now a brother he hadn’t known existed is on his doorstep and trouble isn’t far behind.
It’s time to take care of business.
This series is on my reread shelf and I was stoked to see a new edition had come out! The chop shop boys were forged together as a group of teenage misfits. They’re deadly, loyal, sarcastic heroes that you won’t be able to resist.
I highly recommend this series. They easily read as standalones, but to get the best experience I’d suggest starting with book 1- Crazy Hot
I've been a fan of Steele Street from the beginning. With each book, I fell a little bit more in love with the whole crew. This novella felt like coming home. We get a peek into what the crew has been up to for the past few years, and the whole story felt like a family reunion. There's less blood and guts than previous books, but it's still a captivating story that reinforces the strength of found, chosen family.
She had me at “4th of July, 738 Steele Street, Denver, Colorado” Sigh...even after all these years it felt like I’d just read the first eleven books. Book 12 felt like coming home ...to a surprise party! I mean, Liam, what a treat! I love this series so much Ms. Janzen could write another book about nothing more than Travis knitting a sweater and I’d drop everything to read it. Thank you Tara Janzen!
Quit was worth the wait and I know I don't have the talent t o write but I hope the next one? Will be quick. I know that's a lot to ask but it is really Ms. Manners fault for writing such great books and making us addicts of steel street books especially. Thank for all you do. Cherokee1642
I like that it's short. But it's almost too short. There's a ton of lead up and then absolutely no on page follow through. It was cool to see where four of the couples kinda ended up in the future, but so many were missing. No excitement, no thrill. Just kinda meh. I'm glad the series is officially over and I can now say that I've read all of them.
I have loved Steele Street for years. I just found 11 and 12. I like the way you brought J. T. Back. It was different and exciting. I also liked the family version for Dylan in 12. I am on to River of Eden 😎
