Hazel Strickland never knew her real mother. Finally, the connection she’s been searching for surfaces in the least likely place possible:
With her ex-boyfriend at his mother’s hat shop in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Thanks to the distinct, one-of-a-kind hats sold there—and the hat that is an almost exact match to the one Hazel’s birth mother left for her years before—Wesley and his mother hold the missing links to the answers she’s seeking.
But Wesley broke her heart. She can’t be near him, especially not since Wes seems to think they need to give love a second try.
Following the hat’s clues means more time with Wesley. She’d rather lock herself away in her mansion tower on Beaver Lake.
That’s the problem with towers, though. Being up so high makes the possibility of falling again way too easy…
Fans of swoony, second chance romance and toe-curling kisses will love this clean Rapunzel retelling by Catelyn Meadows!
Catelyn Meadows is a romantic at heart. A mom of four munchkins, Catelyn married a true-blue farm boy who still makes her heart pitter-pat, and she wanted to create stories that do the same. She also writes clean, young adult fantasy romance as USA Today bestselling author, Cortney Pearson.
Hazel has closed herself up in her tower and comes out only to assist a client when she runs into Wesley, her former boyfriend - who left her because she's always been married to her work. Can she really hire others to run her business so she can get down to the business of living her life and win Wesley back? I loved the setting of this fairy-tale retelling - a quaint town with a ghost history that offers a lot of year round activities that Hazel has never taken time to enjoy. There is magic to be had in Wesley and his mother's hat shop that Hazel goes to investigate for her client. The story is intriguing and captured my imagination. The characters are well developed and lovable. I also loved the premise. Great read!
I really liked this story based a little bit on Rapunzel locked away in her tower. I also really liked the town of Eureka Springs with its cute shops and resident ghosts. I especially liked Le Chapeau shop and the owner Agnes Bassett and her son, Wesley.
Hazel was such a complex character that I was really drawn into finding out about her past and how it made her who she was today. I found it very interesting how Le Chapeau may help her learn more about her past.
My favorite part of the story is the second chance that Hazel and Wesley were given eight years after breaking up. I was so glad Hazel was ready to leave her tower and truly open her heart up to love and being loved by Wesley. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Clean humorous second chance romance. A young woman was so caught up in her drive for success that her boyfriend broke up with her. Several years later she is still all about career. Will she ever learn love is more important? What do you put first? I enjoyed my ARC of this book. Short enough to read in an afternoon. She lives in a charming town and hasn't taken the time to see much of it. To me, this is a slow down and smell the roses type of story. Works for me since I'm a one day at a time girl.
Another compelling and heartfelt romance from Catelyn Meadows.. You become so involved which each of her realistic characters, world & love stories you actually forget they are her modern day re-telling on fairytales. Which is a sign to me of the quality of her creativity, when she can weave her magic turning a mug of mead into a lovely frothy cappuccino in the blink of an eye and turn one inaccessible stone tower in an overgrown forest into another for her modern mansion home with another sort of tower. These 2 ex-lovers are thrown together again after years apart, both misunderstanding the reasons for the thing that drove them apart initially, as each hold onto that hurt and realisation their love has never actually dwindled until coming face to face again. This is not only a story of both needing to leave or embrace but Hazel also needs Wesley’s help in another heartfelt search. Will Hazel & Wesley come together again or will Hazel retreat to her tower of protection accepting her life of loneliness is for the best or can this couple finally demolish that constant wall between them. This is a romance story that makes you sigh with relief & frustration then feel like bashing their heads together to get some sense into them, one thing is for sure the suspense will keep you from putting this book down. I have loved every individual storyline in the whole of the Billionaire Bachelor Mountain Cove series, however be aware I always find I need a box of tissues on hand
Beautiful second chance romance and modern twist on the fairy tale Rapunzel that kept me totally immersed in all that was happening from beginning to end. I loved the undeniable chemistry between Hazel Strickland and Wesley Bassett her ex-boyfriend who she reconnects with at his mother's hat shop in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Ms. Meadows writes with so much love and emotion that she has become one of my favorite authors. I received an advance reader copy of "Hazel and Her Billionaire Tower" and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Billionaire businesswoman Hazel Strickland is tasked with finding a unique business for an exclusive hotel chain and visits her number one pick, Le Chapeau: Hats and Haberdashery in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Inside she discovers gorgeous handmade hats, an apparent clue to her personal quest to find her birth family, and the ex-boyfriend she never forgot. Wesley Bassett is helping his mother run her haberdashery, never expecting sweet Hazel to walk back into his life so abruptly. He’d love to finally propose to her, but her business ventures may again keep them apart. A modern retelling of Rapunzel.
While this was a sweet romance, I felt it lacked depth and closure. Hazel and Wesley are a fine pairing, but this story takes place over a very short period of time and the author just asks us to believe they are able to start over where they left off, with a few short interactions that Hazel keeps running away from. The big problem that kept them apart is resolved satisfactorily, but the secondary problem of her birth family seemed unnecessary with the written conclusion.
It was so much fun to learn more about the art of haberdashery and Wesley’s mother quickly became my favorite character not only for her ability to create, but also her keen sense of matching hats to people. It naturally made me dream about what hat she would choose for me. The book was a quick, clean read from the fun Billionaire Bachelor Mountain Cove series. While not my favorite book, there were some scenes and people that I enjoyed enormously and would definitely re-read again.
SPOILERS!!! I have loved the first four books of this series, but this one didn’t do it for me as much. I do love how strong Hazel is and that she was willing to give in a bit to Wesley to make things work, but didn’t love that he wasn’t willing to do the same for her. I dislike the theme of miscommunication being the reason they needed a second chance. Wesley back then and now was/is stubborn and just wouldn’t listen to reason. His original plan for them didn’t happen because he decided he needed to berate her for her career drive the same day he was going to take the next step and she took it to mean he didn’t want her. Then they come back and suddenly he’s decided he does still want her and she has to want him too and when she finally sees how much he means to her, she decides to compromise for the both for them and it’s STILL not good enough for him. The fact she had to just drop her business on a dime for him was selfish and narcissistic of him. He didn’t care that she built a huge business on her own and needed time to adjust to not running everything hands on, he was just immediately like nah sorry babe but if you don’t drop everything for me this instant, I’m out. It was unreasonable and an instant turn off for me. I wasn’t even rooting for them by the end. I loved the first four books so this didn’t deter me from wanting to finish the rest of the series so there’s that.
The Once Upon a Billionaire series continues in a fifth book that brings the mystery and danger to greater heights as another couple becomes ensnared in the pact. Wesley and Hazel are the leads in this story of intrigue and suspense as the disappearance of Rosabel at the previous books end has her Duncan going crazy in his attempts to find her. A storyline that continues to charm and immerse the reader in its imaginative world building and well written prose, each of the stories has also woven into its fabric allusions of a classic fairytale which this book does with a Rapunzel retelling. Hazel who is on a mission to find her birth mother is once again reunited with her ex-boyfriend Wesley who is assisting his fraternity brother Duncan in his search for Rosabel. The plot thickens, love is reignited, and the adventure heats up! Hazel and her Billionaire Tower delivered another exciting read from start to finish in a series I became addicted to. So filled with love, family, suspense, and emotion as it finds its way to a thrilling and satisfying conclusion.

Since their disastrous breakup, Hazel has been avoiding ex Wesley, only to run into him when she's checking out his mother's hat shop for work. They still have plenty of sparks between them, if only they could get past their troubled past.
The author essentially breaks this book down into two books -- Hazel and Her Billionaire Tower and The Billionaire's Lost Family. The first part is all about Hazel and Wesley getting together in Arkansas and is a fun fairy tale romance. I like that in this one, the female MC is the billionaire. The second part is about Hazel's search for her birth mother in Brazil. While it's interesting, there's a lot that gets solved by coincidence (and lost luggage), so that part really could have been better (especially if it had been expanded). Still, this is an entertaining romance and worth a read.
Absolutely stunning!!! Hazel & Wesley’s story is so very charming and entertaining! I truly enjoyed reading this sweet and wholesome romantic fairytale retelling —with some suspense and action added!!! Wesley was SUCH a sweetheart with gorgeous quotes that would melt any girl’s heart! One of my favorites . . . “I can promise you’ve been on my mind every day for the last eight years. I can promise I’ve thought of nothing else but you since you showed up in Mom’s shop. I can promise that the part of my heart you took with you has just started beating again after all this time, and I’m not sure how to let you leave with it again.”
Finally, the mystery is solved. Not only do you get to see how Rosabel is rescued, but you also get to see Hazel and Wesley reunited. You get to see the rest of the couples advance their relationships. I was heartbroken when we were left with a cliffhanger for Duncan and Rosabel's story, but it was nice to have the story wrapped up. You are definitely going to want to read the series from the beginning. This starts with a cliffhanger and resolves in the end. Everyone gets a happily ever after. I LOVED THIS BOOK AND SERIES!!!.

This is Book 5 in the Once Upon a Billionaire Series by this author. It is a modern day re-telling of the Rapunzel fairytale, a heartwarming second chance romance, with a touch of mystery and danger, between former sweethearts, Wesley and Hazel. These likeable characters and the unique plot make for an enjoyable read. Once they reconnect, it is a love story with enough drama, steam, suspense, frustrating moments, sweetness, twists and turns, and engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. This also concludes Rosabel and Duncan's story from Book 4. What an amazing read!

This was an amusing play on the Rapunzel story wrapped in a second chance romance. Hazel is a planner. Wesley is more of a free spirit. Their differences ended in their breakup years ago. But Hazel runs into Wesley at a hat store while searching for her birth mother & all the feelings are still there.
It had a slightly stilted tone to it, a little melodramatic, but nothing off-putting. The story was decently written & engaging enough for an enjoyable evening's entertainment
This book has some of the best characters and storyline that makes this book so good. I have enjoyed reading all of these books in this series by Catelyn and this book is ABSOLUTELY the BEST. If you like your romance books on the tame side with a fairytale ending, then this series of books are just what your kindle needs.
This is a great read that hooks you on the first page and doesn't let go. It's a sweet romance with just the right amount of suspense to keep you turning the pages. I highly recommend this book and the entire series.

In a bit of a twist the workaholic billionaire is a woman. Catelyn Meadows gives us a story with a second chance romance possibility, a hunt for birth parents and some real soul searching changes. I enjoyed this book.
