All the chapters in this volume were amazing! Let me tell you, after chapters 47-49 I developed a lot of sympathy for Misha.

Until it came crashing down.

I can't wait for volume 10!

I can't wait to see who is on the cover of this volume. I think Misha and Vanitas might be on the cover together, with Vanitas of the Blue Moon in the mirror, like how in volume 2 the Teacher was behind Noe.

After some months I have finally caught up with the latest published volume and, currently, my heart is broken. I hate seeing Vanitas and Noé in bad terms, I hope they return soon to how they were before. As always I really enjoyed Vanitas’ character, for he is really mysterious. I liked seeing a bit more of his past.
And is important to say that Jun Mochizuki never ceases to amaze me, her art is just so beautiful and outstanding; I love the drawing so much. And the story is always so good! I am looking forward to see the upcoming Anime; only 3 more days, cannot wait!!!
Just to mention, I still don’t understand why they are not boyfriends :)

„Księga Vanitasa” to zdecydowanie moja ulubiona manga tego roku. Z każdym tomem jest coraz lepsza. To jest idealna manga dla osób które dopiero wkraczają w świat japońskich komiksów. Piękna kreska, historia pełna tajemnic, wiktoriańsko-gotycki klimat, wampiry i tajne organizacje, czego chcieć więcej?

W tym tomie w końcu poznajemy smutną oraz brutalną przeszłość Vanitasa. Dowiadujemy się jak wszedł w posiadanie księgi Wampira Błękitnego Księżyca i skąd biorą się jego niezwykłe zdolności.
Nie mogłam się doczekać tego tomu i miałam co do niego duże oczekiwania, które spełnił. Autorka w końcu ujawnia pewne tajemnice z przeszłości bohaterów ale, nadal pozostawia wiele pytań bez odpowiedzi.

Podsumowując, cała seria jest świetnie poprowadzona i trzyma czytelnika w napięciu, powoli ujawniając tajemnice stworzonego świata oraz bohaterów. Kreska jest piękna a wszystko zachowane w gotyckiej estetyce Paryża, w którym toczy się akcja. Jedna z najlepszych mang jakie czytałam. Nie mogę się doczekać kolejnego tomu.

i am heart broken. there's no words to describe what i'm feeling rn. i read the whole manga in a sitting, because i was so hooked with it. to see how far vanitas and noé have come makes me want to cry so hard.

i just want to hope that they'll be on good terms again 😭

jun mochizuki keeps amazing me as always with how good their art is! vanitas' backstory was absolutely breathtaking, i can't wait to read the next chapter.

(I’m not sure whether chapter 54 is still part of volume 9 or will be volume 10.)

We got to see more about Vanitas backstory along with how Luna raised Vanitas and Mikhail. It brings more questions behind the reasoning why Vanitas killed Luna.

You can sort of sympathize with Mikhail, since Vanitas killed the only ‘Father’ figure (Luna’s gender isn’t specified, but is referred to as Father at times) he had. Which alas led to the whole Noé and Vanitas fight, which was saddening but nice 😇

5⭐️ - Honestly can't believe the action and reveals in this volume. So happy to get backstory from Vanitas and all the beautiful art. So happy i barely have to look at Jeanne at all as well. Cant wait for the next volume!

Vanitas’ terrifying “little brother” has kidnapped Domi, and Noe goes to her rescue. He wants Noe to drink Vanitas’ blood and read his past to see if he killed their “father”. But, before that will make any sense to Noe, he needs to see “Number 71’s” memories…which are horrifying. The Dhams worry about what will happen if Vanitas and Noe come to blows, because “When push comes to shove, a decisive difference appears between those who think ‘I’m strong, so I don’t want to kill anyone’ [Noe] and those who think ‘I’m weak, so I’ll survive no matter what it takes’[Vanitas]”

Der Teil war super. Als Leser hat man super viele neue Einblicke bekommen: Vanitas' Geschichte, mehr zu Noé und Domi sowie ein spannender Kampf. Zeichnerisch war dieser Teil auch wieder richtig schön und ich mag die Kulisse dad alten Paris sehr.
