The Quran, what a book! I was given this book at a mosque open day a few years ago and finally got round to reading it in its entirety.

This particular book is the Quran in English, together with explanatory notes, background and general information about Islam.

To me, it feels a bit dry reading the Quran in English. It must be heard and experienced in Arabic. I actually prefer to listen to Mufti Ismail Menk on YouTube rather than read the English translation.

I recommend this book as a great introduction for English speakers who want to read the Quran in English and learn more about Islam.

I have been wanting to read The Quran’s english translation for so long but have not find the book that could give a simple and understandable translation. I am aware that the language of The Quran is very special. It uses Classical Arabic which makes it harder for people to perfectly translate and depict the verses word by word. But this translation really brings my heart closer to The Book and I want to share to you guys the name of this book. This one is called The Quran Project. You can order it online through their website. They give out the hard copy for Non-Muslims who are willing to read this book, Internationally and for free. They also have the PDF version for free once you get onto their website, The Quran Project. I like it because not only they provide translation, they begin every surah’s translation with the historical background of the surah, time of revelation and many other background story of the surah and the stories within each surah. It also has a really nice introduction about Islam, the history, who Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is, and many more. 🤍
