The Bible Code: Finding Jesus in Every Book in the Bible

Rate this book
You'll understand Jesus' presence in the Old Testament in a new way as you journey with Pastor O. S. Hawkins through the Bible. We often assume Jesus is only in the New Testament. Yet Christ appears in every book of the Bible, sometimes in words, sometimes in shadow, sometimes in prophecy.

As Jesus revealed to the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, He can be found “in all the Scriptures” (Luke 24:27). And as we learn to find Jesus in every verse, we realize His constant presence in our lives as well.

In The Bible Code, bestselling author of The Joshua Code, O. S. Hawkins, takes us from Genesis to Revelation as he illuminates Scripture through the light of Christ.

In Exodus, He is the Passover Lamb.In Deuteronomy, He is the Bread of Life.In Song of Solomon, He is our Bridegroom. This book makes a beautiful gift

Several months ago a good friend gave me The Bible Code knowing my long standing interest in the Bible and believing I would benefit from a study like this. Arranged with short chapters of 4-5 pages exploring the appearance of Jesus in a particular book beginning with Genesis and concluding with Revelation, the book works great as a devotional aid. There are 55 chapters so there is some combination of similar works. The three letters of John are covered in a single chapter. Hawkins has previously written similar devotional style books which have gained wide acceptance. Highly recommended for those who need to understand the totality of the scriptures. All 66 books contain important aspects of Jesus, our savior and Lord.

What a gem of a book! O.S. Hawkins has written a fine, succinct handbook of the Bible in a user friendly way, but packed full of Biblical principles and nuggets of truth. I will have this book on my desk to refer to over and over again. Highly recommended for a good read! Great book, great author!

This is an amazing little book that is perfect to pair alongside your Bible study. It shows Jesus in every book of the Bible and reveals God’s character in new depths. I would just read the little chapter before starting that book of the Bible and it helped me dig deeper for meaning in the passages.

Good read, not what I expected

The book was a good read, but I really expected more. Used it as a daily devotional, each chapter was 3 pages, was expecting more "in depth" study of the books.

What an awesome find! Just one short chapter each day highlighting Jesus's Presence in every book of the Bible. It was a perfect supplement to my Bible reading each morning and definitely taught me a lot!

Used this as a year-long (actually took two years) part of my morning quiet time; read each chapter as I was going through a chronological reading of the Bible. Not very meaty, but the author picks one "stand out" verse from each book of the Bible....a verse that exemplifies the way Christ is portrayed in that one book. Based on my other Bible reading and study, I can confidently say, he nailed it. His quick-takes in each book will certainly bolster your understanding if you're a new-ish/newer Bible reader or new believer.

Strongly recommended for those who are just starting their Bible reading journey as it will help set the tone as you read each book of the Bible. Helps with focusing your thoughts as you read along.

A very edifying book!

This is a devotional guide that you can read over and over again. You will not be disappointed. This book is good for the more mature believer as well as the new convert.

A wonderful overview of how all of the scriptures, Old and New Testaments, point to Christ. I learned a lot. A great volume for new Christians, and "old" ones alike!
