n the early 1960s the Cold War intensifies as does Rick involvement. The KGB and the East Germany Stasi start it, but Rick finishes it. Trying to capture him is one thing, kidnapping Mary is another.
With humor, we follow a young man’s coming of age in the late 1950s. Starting in the summer before his freshman year it follows him through his high school life and beyond. He finds fame and fortune as an inventor and wealth in Hollywood as he searches for a girlfriend. Wealth and fame prove far easier than girls.
As his life at Oxford becomes routine his duties as a Queen's Messenger prove challenging to the extreme.
This tongue in cheek saga is all true, give or take a lie or two.

Really enjoyable series, keeps getting better!

Loving the humor and the easter eggs. Some more obvious than others, and some wikipedia doesn't recognize. Loving how the story bounces back and forth from England to USA to europe to china. From royalty to movie star to spy action to family. This is a really fun and very interesting story! Looking forward eagerly to the next one!

A Good Guy

I will never have the influence or money if RJ. I can not really identify with his character. So, what is it that attracts me to him? In part, I think that is the kind of person I would LIKE to be, but more than that, it is just that it shows it is not money alone that makes a good guy.

Great Read...

I have been looking forward to this next installment of the Richard Jackson saga. I was not disappointed! Richard’s life gets more complicated, but he is growing up and coming into his own.

So glad it's finally out

First eight books came out so fast the wait for this book was torture. Even with having to buy at a higher price than before well worth it. Note to author might get a web page or Facebook. tried several times to find info on updates

Another great installment

Love this series. The plot thickens with each book, the twists sometime push the boundaries of credulity, but then again, isn’t that the hallmark of a great author?

Worth a re-read

I just finished a complete re-read of the entire saga. I must say, it is a great way to spend a quarantine week. I recommend it. Now, the big question, when will number 10 be out?

Great as usual

Another great story. What is not to like. Name dropping, funny, nostalgic, wonderful, just to name a few words that come to mind. I cannot wait for the next installment.

The Richard Jackson saga book 9

I gave this a five because it was fun to read to the end, and a tied up some loose ends. I don’t know what the author could’ve done to make it better.

Good continuation of previous books. Outlandish ideas but as he says, it’s all true except for a few lies. Finished it it one sitting. Kept my attention well.

Absolutely Awesome

This story of a young man who is targeted by the Russian and East Germans during the Cold War was a very interesting read.

The author definitely does not understand the meaning of the word defiantly or perhaps he defiantly refuses to.

Still good.

So if you are here you know what to expect. I'm enjoying it immensely but I do wish the final edit were made. The misplaced commas alone are enough to drive one crazy.

Watch out for those soviets

Kennedy wins election over Nixon and most people were concerned about the power of the pope. Now we know we should have been Leary of Johnson.

Love, Death, and The Ladies Drill Team!

Okay, they are not ladies, but there is marching to orders.
And the deaths are “justifiable”.
The love is slow starting and off screen and hopeful.

Yep another Richard Jackson story fun read.

Latest installment fun read. I enjoy his fictional timeline more than the actual one. While he holds true to most of the main events there is some flex with the supporting events. All in all a fun read. More please Mr. Nelson.
