Win Fast by Siimon Reynolds is a productivity book designed to help the reader improve their performance personally and professionally. The book is outlined with each chapter representing a different tip that will help improve your performance. Each chapter provides an explanation of the tip, the importance of the tip, and anecdote explaining the relevance. In addition, at the end of each chapter, the author provides bullets of "Fast Action Steps" which provide an actionable outline of how to implement the tips. The book is a simple and quick read and allows the reader to skip to tips that might interest them or be relevant to their current work. This is not a book for individuals looking for systems or a deep understanding of a productivity approach, but instead a list of tools you can implement to improve your current system. I recommend this book for those that already have a system that works for them and just want a few tweaks to further improve that system!
Many thanks to the publisher Kensington Books and Netgalley for the ARC in return for an honest review.
OH, WOW! This is why I miss the non-fiction/self-help genre so much! I have needed this book for a very long time. I have been so dissatisfied with my life, wondering what I was doing wrong. This book gave me quite a few suggestions to have a better life. I want to be successful, happy, love what I do and where I live. I have a new manual to fix my old life and bring life back into it. Thank you for allowing me to read this e-book!
I won this book on goodreads and wish I knew these 80 tips sooner. I plan to implement these productive tips into my life. This book I feel is a great resource for improving your life. Many tips for your career, health, relationships, etc. The 80% good enough rule is a perfect one for perfectionists. I have been caught in this trap before. 64/4 tip is helpful. The reading a book in an hour was a revelation for me. Sure could have used this in College. Lots of helpful productive tips that would take several books to gather all that I learn in one book.
Thank you to Goodreads, the publisher, and the author for the free giveaway copy of this book. I really enjoyed it. The format was great - 80 tips for winning, increasing productivity, living an all around better life, in short, quick hits of info in just a few pages. Additionally, the author groups them at the end for specific goals, which was really helpful in distilling down the info.
The author's organization of this book made it a great resource that the reader can go back to and easily find whatever tip they need information on. The layout is that each chapter is devoted to a tip and explains the importance of it and of how to utilize it. I found the information in this guide to be useful.
I really enjoyed this one. This is a book that just gets to the point without any waffling. Every page or two is a new tip on how to succeed in life. Maybe not all of them would resonate with you but even if you take away one or two points from the whole book, it would change your life for the better quite significantly!
Quite a few useful nuggets presented in a no-nonsense manner which was very pleasant to read. Some of the suggestions... Hmm. Either a little out-there or contradictory, but overall I liked the book.
I loved this book, it was just the jolt to action I was looking for. You know when you read a self-help book and the whole time you’re scribbling down notes?
Sometimes a book offers the coaching you would pay hundreds for for only £7.99 (or whatever price).
