Keeping the Boss's Baby

Rate this book
I was focused on my business.
Not my failed engagement.

I had no more time for women who were only after my money.
Then she sat down next to me.
She was honest, raw, and in pain.
Not to mention the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen.
One night together and we both forgot our troubles for a few hours.
Now two years later she walks back into my life.
Despite my better judgement, I give her a job.
One that keeps her a little too close to me.
Just where I want her. Always.
Now the walls are tumbling down around me.
Paige isn’t who I thought she was, and worse yet,
She’s keeping a secret that will blow my whole world apart.

A secret that looks a hell of a lot like me.

'Keeping the Boss's Baby' is a full-length romance with a happily ever after and no cliffhanger.
It's the first book of the Alpha Bosses series.

Paige's finance Alex has cheated on her with Wendy the waitress in there hometown. Paige has now moved to Chicago with her two best friends Amanda and Shelly. While having an wild night on the town, drinking and having girl talk. Paige meets up with Ford a Billionaire who is part owner in Blip, Inc. They have a one night stand. Weeks later Paige finds out she is Pregnant.

Fast Forward 2 years. Paige has lost her job and she needs to pay rent and provide for her 15 month old daughter Madelyn. She is a Doll. I fell in love with the make believe baby girl. Paige goes to Ford to ask him for a loan and to tell him about his daughter. But Ford thinks she is there for the job interview as his Executive Asst. Paige takes the job because she will make enough money to get her and Madelyn a 2 bedroom apartment and they have daycare right there at her job. The problem is Paige isn't the person who was suppose to have the interview and she doesn't tell Ford why she really came. She doesn't tell him about his daughter.

All hell breaks loose when Ford finds out Paige is not the person he was suppose to interview and hire and who is Madelyn's father. A baby he has began to love.

The story is fast paced. It has a great storyline. It makes sense. It has loveable characters. So Why not 5 stars? It could have been 5 stars until the end. There is no end. No epilog. Nothing. Ford finds her after she runs back to her hometown with Madelyn. He knows now that Madelyn is his child. They talk and kiss!! THE END!! Did they get back together. Did he get to see Madelyn again. What happen. This is was a horrible ending. It would have only taken a few more pages to have a 5 star story!! I wonder if the author got sick or the publisher forgot to add the ending or epilog? WTH happen!!!

WTF IS THAT ENDING

The ending was horrible!!!!!
It feels like the writer got tired of the story and just ended it that way....

Throughout the book I was thinking of giving it a five star since it was well written at the same time the story was good then all of a sudden... THE END?????????

Too many questions unanswered!!! WHAT THE HELL!!!!!

I HAVE NEVER GIVEN 1 star in all the books I’ve read.. but this time I will since it did pissed me of.. I am so angry... so angry and disappointed

NEVER again will I read books written by this author!!!!

Oh what a brilliant story of Paige and Ford. Too much alcohol can lead to things. That is what Paige finds out when she meets Ford...result, a baby.
Now she needs help...a job, money and to tell Ford he is a dad. Now the fun begins. A rollercoaster of a story but telling a lie can escalate and pretending you are someone else (unintentionally) is not good. A great story, good friends but wished the ending didn’t end so abruptly...hence 4 stars

Good until the end. If you can even call that an ending. So abrupt and no closure. I thought for sure there was a second book because it ended like a cliffhanger. But no… It was a standalone.

ONE HEART POUNDING ADVENTURE!!!
Oh my G-A-W-D! Ava just totally blew me away and rocked my world with this hot little number, ratcheting up the heat thrill to combustion, raising the stakes and keeping it real, wrapping this baby up sleek, shiny and tight. Gratification rocks this little treasure, bringing it home with such intensity and precision, riding roughshod and imparting one block busting dynamo, fusing this impressive bombshell together piece by piece. Anarchy runs rampant and havoc is rife, rolling out the drama, intrigue, spiraling suspense and intense situations, along with a double dose of secrets while dodging bedlam, you have one thrilling masterpiece. Eliminating the lines and crushing boundaries, limitations are stretched and manipulated, blazing a path, booting it into overdrive, slamming this baby into a tailspin with a mind-blowing realization. Funky mishaps and surprising happenstance, showcase the heart pounding trials and pulse racing tribulations, blowing through the sharp twists and wicked turns, testing our characters in ways they could have never saw coming. Braided, bound and entangled, imparting the explosive ups and agonizing downs, grounding in it's simplicity and awe-inspiring in it's depth. The raw magnetism, attraction and sizzling chemistry collides with such intensity, drawing you deeper until you feel the electrifying hum running rampant through your veins. The characters, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits, blend and flow, transforming into genuinely charismatic personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and depictions creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Incredible job Ava, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.

Horrible. Had to skim a good chunk to finish. Couldn’t stomach reading about a selfish, lying, crazy bitch, who plays the “poor me” “I’m doing this for my kid” act all the way to the end. And guess what?!! The man still chases after her wanting her back!!

The intro was a bore. There was nothing exciting about Paige at their initial meeting. I mean the girl talked about her ex and then they had a one night stand. So, imagine my surprise when they meet again and Ford has been head over heels for her.

***warning, rant alert***

Paige the selfish bitch. First, she pushes her decisions and opinions on everyone. Who cares if it’s good for them as long as it benefits her. She doesn’t bother telling Ford that she is pregnant, because she doesn’t want to be Wendy the waitress, this is all from assuming shit about Ford. Second, the crap with Will! Why couldn’t she just give him a clear “No, Im not interested in you. Back the fk up!” I mean she has no problem saying that sh*t to Ford, but then wants to act all meek with her co-works? Two faced bitch. Finally, her daughter. She don’t give a shit about putting her daughter first. She just wants pity and sympathy from the ppl around her. She rather go homeless then let Ford take care of their daughter. She rather her cheating ex bf raise her daughter up as his own, then her rich baby daddy. Honestly, I’d wish Ford would take baby girl away from her so she knows what it feels like to not be able to raise your kid. She wasn’t the best mom, so who is she to judge Ford before even giving him a chance. And to top it all off, she doesn’t suffer for any of her selfish decisions. The stupid man came groveling anyway. Don’t even get me started on the so called “Ending”. Pfft

Literally, what? This book would have gotten a solid 3, maybe 4 stars because it had a decent plot line. But what was that ending???? There was none. So many unresolved issues on top of an abrupt ending. There’s no epilogue, none of anything other than a make up kiss. Come on. Two adults with a kid together and a myriad of loose ends are able to conclude their happily ever after with a kiss? No. That ending ruined it for me. If you’re still here after that^^ other issues (along with spoilers) in this book includes:

-main character is a whiny, selfish, and full of it
-pushes her kid onto her friends when she could have communicated with the kid’s father like the adult she (half-assed) wants/claims to be
-her poor communication, lying, and fraud were ultimately okay under the guise of protecting her kid; it was a loose end and was never addressed or resolved in the end
-talked about how mistreated she felt by her ex, when 1. Her ex pulled smaller stunts than she ultimately did and 2. She used her ex right back to help her move her things back home. They were not on good terms and he had been telling her how much he misses her and such. So she knew how he felt and slightly strung him along knowing she’d be able to get help from him
-this book kept me engaged as much as it irritated and pissed me off; hence, the two stars.

Ava Storm has written a 5-star book that will grab you from the first page to the last page with all the twists and turns that she has thrown in this book. Paige and Ford meet at a bar and they sleep together but she leaves Ford before he wakes up. A few weeks after she leaves Ford she finds out she is pregnant but she doesn't tell Ford about the baby. Now 2 years later, things are not going well for her so she decides to go and see Ford and ask him for a loan. Ford thinks she is there for a job interview. He won't let her say much so she stays quiet. She gets the job of his assistant and they try to keep it business-like. Things do not work out as they plan. The team of Blip Inc are at a conference and Paige is there with them. Ford has made it clear that he wants Paige with him. She tries to keep to herself and not get involved with Ford again since she has not told him about his daughter Madelyn. Something happens at the end of the conference and things go from good to bad. When they get back home and she walks into the office the next day she sees that there is a file on her. Ford has had her investigated. He knows everything about her and Madelyn's birthday. After the way, he looks at her, she knows she can't stay there so she leaves. She moves back to her Aunt's home with the help of her ex.
Will Paige get over her feelings for Ford and move on with her life?
Will Ford go after Paige and forgive her for not telling him the truth about Madelyn?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.
I received an ARC of this book for my voluntarily and honest review.

I defintely recommend to get this book it so well with the read the character very well written they captivate you and pull you right into all the drama so much happens in this story you can't put this book down.

Paige had recently called off her wedding with her cheating ex and met Ford in a ritzy bar on a Friday night visiting her best friends in the city. The result was a one night stand that she finds out results in a pregnancy. She decides to have the baby herself with the help of her two best friends. Turns out Ford is one of four billionaires who own a very successful business. The heart of this story starts two years later after she has been laid off and after three months without a job, she decides she must go to Ford's place of business to tell him he has a daughter but winds up accepting the job as his personal assistant that he was to interview that morning. This is an excellent account of the next two or three months. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the one-and-a-half-year-old Madelyn in the story. Even tickled by the ex Alex's part in the story. You won't be able to put it down! RECOMMENDED!!

what happens when you find out that your fiance cheated on you? Well you break it off and go out with the girls and end up having a one night stand but end up with more than you bargain for ? Ford is a billionaire and is blowing off steam and meeting his friends but when a sassy paige catches his eye can he do a night stand and forget about her? He has his own issues to deal with as well but when paige shows up for a job can they stay away from each other as a the sparks fly between them but when her secrets out will he forgive her or will she run away from him again? This book was absolutely phenomenal and I absolutely connected with the characters pain and emotions. I was gifted this arc for my honest review.

Second chance with her baby daddy

Paige was upset over her ex fiance cheating on her and had been out drinking with friends when she met Ford and had a one night stand. Her daughter Madelyn was the result of that night. Losing her job she needs help so she decides to go to Ford to get a loan till she getd back on her feet. He mistakes her for the person that is applying for a job as his executive assistant and he offers her the job which she accepts. Readers should enjoy reading this book which I thoroughly recommend as these two people get reacquainted. Wiĺl he forgive her lies and will she face him and tell him the truth about the job and his daughter.

Not often I leave actual written reviews I normally just do the stars and this book would of had 5* but that ending was ridiculous I wish I'd read the reviews first but from the blurb it sounded really good and it was it really sucked me until I got the and that was it just an end no epilogue nothing just literally stopped no what happened if she went back to the city not reunion with the little girl and her dad nothing just stopped I'm going to give the second book a go but if it ends the same then I won't read anymore I don't need a book to have HEA but it does need to actually close if it isn't a cliffhanger for a second book which this story wasn't I'm really disappointed 😢

A riveting read!
This is only the second book I’ve read by this author, but I most certainly will be reading more, as they are outstanding. This story will hook you from the very beginning. She has taken a one-night-stand to new heights by giving us a look at Paige and Ford two years later. He hires her to work in his office under the misconception that she is someone else. It was almost impossible to put this story aside until I’d finished it. I’ll be reading more by Ms. Storm!

She has had a relationship go really bad and is out forgetting it. She meets him there. He is tired of trying to meet a woman who is not after his money. They have a healing night together. She ends up with something she didn't count on. Around two years later she needs money along with other things and he helps her with a job. He still cares about her and they start to work out their relationship. He learns her secret. Exciting, emotional, surprising, intriguing and so much more. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.

A one night stand and surprise!

I loved the story in this book along with the characters bust so disappointed with the ending.  There really isn't an ending with the story line.
Ava Storm should write a follow up book to Keeping the Boss's Baby Bk 1 and finish off the story.  What did Ford do, did he forgive Paige?  What about Madelyn?  An important part of the book.
Was going to read Bk 2 but since it wasn't a continuance of Bk 1 decided not to read the other two books in series since I figured they would end the same way as Bk 1.  Disappointing.

Paige was on the rebound when she met Ford at a bar. After she left, she found out she was still carrying part of him with her. Ford also had a bad previous relationship. When she interviewed with him for a job under a false name, she started having to lie to keep her job. The chemistry between the two of them was incredible, but lies always come out. Good read!

Ford being gruff, lack of personality and no respect for those he didn't need. Page should have been up front and told Ford the truth stating instead of keeping the baby a secret.would haven't ask a job or provided her leads for a possible job at another company. I would've not accepted child support from him, but would've set up visitations. With Ford's personality, I wouldn't accept anything from him. He was not father material, but he had the right to know.

Pretty good read.
Yes, Paige should have fessed up, but then again, if she did, the book would have ended in about 10 minutes. Yes, Ford is kind of a jerk, but then, we knew that from the beginning.
It is pretty straightforward in telling of the story and has a unique ending. It does end in a HEA, but not the type one is used to seeing. Most will be upset about the way it ends, but I liked it for being different.

Very good book

I couldn't put down any of the books for the series, I am going to be having cataract surgery soon, therefore I'm reading all the books I can....my only disappointment was I read about the ladies that Kai, Ford and Griffin fell in love with, but, nothing about Jameson finding love....please need another book to make the series complete, Jameson needs a lady of his own.

What a great book

This book was so intriguing because of some many twists and turns Paige took in her life. First cheating ex-fiance to having a one night stand. You know what happens on a one night stand. You'll have to read the book to find out. It leads to some pretty interesting things. Ford, the one night stand, also had an ex-fiancee who was a good digger. How could he trust Paige. It's really a good book. :)

Over the top

I liked parts of the story, but come on you don't tell him (Spoiler Alert) he has a kid with you???? She had so many chances to tell him. Maybe in the beginning I could understand, but not after she starts to work for him. And time and time again there were so many opportunities. I liked the main male character and his friends, brother. I just think the long drawn out secret baby thing was over the top. Also, it ended too abruptly.

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.

I really enjoyed this secret baby romance, it's well-written and fast-paced, quick to read with delightful characters.

There is plenty of chemistry Ford and Paige, and with her secrets after a couple years apart there is plenty of drama and some heartbreaking moments.

Sweet story...

Loved the beginning of the book. Has such a quick ending that it confused me. Why go thru this entire story in such great detail just to end it so abruptly? Usually not a fan of the woman hiding a baby from the father but this didn’t bother me so much. It actually got a good giggle out of me a couple of times. If it weren’t for the ending, it would have gotten 5 stars from me for sure!

This book did not end well.

This book did not end well for me. A kiss at the end does not do it for me. I wanted her to face his brother and his friends and explain everything to them. It would have been better if all the friends got together to hash it all out. This book fell flat for me when she called her ex to help her move back.

Another great read by Ava Storm who once again delivers an entertaining story filled with twists and turns and a hot and steamy romance. The characters are strong ,the story flows fluidly and the scenes are so vivid I felt as though I was there. Well done!

Baby indifference

I'm a lover of secret baby stories. The intrigue of why the mother must keep it a secret and everything leading up to the big reveal. Some of these stories are better than others.

I seriously got a kick (LOL) of how the baby momma ended up working for the baby daddy. It was only a matter of time before the lie was exposed. Instead of facing the truth, she ran.The baby daddy should have demanded the truth the night at the formal. He didn't. I don't appreciate running from responsibility. The storyline wasn't bad.
