Keziah is a wolf shifter hiding out in the human world. His clan wants him back, but to do that, he needs to bring his mate as part of fulfilling requirements when his father died. He has to prove he has settled down and taken over the family… or property. He knew he could trust Jaina. In fact, he doesn’t know any other woman he could ask anyway. He was offering her a million dollars to marry him. His timing was bad, though, because she spewed her drink all over the papers he was showing her.
The only woman he wants is Jaina, a digital artist, but she’s not acquainted with the shifter life and he has to consider that. Being with him could be dangerous for her, considering his step-mother hates him and not all of his clan trust him anymore. His wolf wants her for sure. But is it fair to risk her life bringing her into his clan?
When Keziah asks Jaina to be his fake wife, she is surprised. But she is also crazy about him and it wouldn’t take much for her to agree. But he’s going to have to tell her about his wolf. Is he ready to tell her? Is she strong enough to hear this? And will she still want to take a chance with him?
(Keziah & Jaina): I continue to find new concepts to the shifter romances. This one was actually pretty good and had an awesome plot twist as well. Keziah is a bar owner and Jaina is his neighbor, a graphic artist. They both feel a pull to each other but are not sure why. As a part of his father's will, Keziah must reclaim his place as alpha of his family's pack and he will receive the family fortune. He doesn't want to, but needs the money to help his cousin get an expensive medical treatment. One condition to the will is that he must marry. Who else would he choose but the woman that occupies his mind. I loved that Jaina didn't know that Keziah was Wolf, I also loved that they essentially fell in love quickly but still without her knowing. The book was all about their relationship for most of the story until the climax…. When it was time to fight for the pack. I could literally hear the dramatic music playing. It was then that the author started giving his surprise packages. And those packages were some doozies. And what do you know, a freaking cliffhanger… so, on to the next book.
Jaina is a quiet artist, inexplicably drawn to the pub and its owner at the end of her street. For 2 years, she has a quiet drink and Keziah never comes on strong. Until Keziah needs a fake bride and she agrees. But Keziah has a secret and their steamy honeymoon may be the last happiness they have if his family have a say in it.
A good read that is satisfying enough as a standalone, but with enough story threads left that you want to read the next book.

This is an excellent story. There's twists and turns with some unexpected surprises. The storyline is written well with a plot that only thickens. You'll be left with some unanswered questions that'll leave you wanting the next in this series. Definitely a must read.
She hid for most of her life. Well, with a childhood like that, what would you expect. But now she's met her true mate, she just doesn't know it yet. And a lot more comes out, the more she falls.
This was a nice start to the series. Now that some secrets are out, there are more questions and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book. Anxiously waiting for it.
A deeply entertaining story exploring different personalities and past experiences. Loners meet and difficult options are thrust on them. Interesting ending.
Ok read. Zekiah needs a mate to take his rightful place as the pack heir. He’s always had a thing for Jaina so he offers a marriage of convenience.
He’s a bit slow on the uptake that Jaina is his mate. The chemistry between Zekiah and Jaina is pretty good. Her character was a bit stereotypical and flat. Bad childhood,so she closes herself off from the world. Meh.
The author could have done more with the drama surrounding the opposition to Zekiah. Felt a bit rushed for the resolution.

This storyline kept my interest from start to finish. Jaina is a quiet person who dislikes interacting with people. Keziah is the owner/operator of a bar near Jaina’s new apartment. When something draws Jaina into the bar, there is an immediate attraction between these two wonderful characters. Two years later, this attraction leads to a fake marriage. What comes after the marriage, makes for a lovely story, but the twist at the end is certainly unexpected. I look forward to finding out more about these secrets in the next book.
