他是我的不接受反驳 He's Mine, No Objections Allowed

Rate this book
Su Yi was the archetype nefarious second lead having played a- mistress, witch, villainess and whatnot. Little surprise that she’s undisputedly dubbed the nation’s “Ms. Malevolence” and earned her fair share of haters as she coasted through the entertainment industry.

Then she fell in love with a veteran who had NO.IMPERFECTIONS. AT. ALL! (Su Yi said in all seriousness). It was just that… he wasn’t quite pleased with her reputation.

Therefore Su Yi ran back to the company, crying. “I want to change my public image! I don’t want to be a villainess anymore! I want to play a white lotus flower, it’d be great if I could be the wife of a soldier who would sacrifice everything for love!”

——

This was one thing Su Yi was certain right from the start.

Chu Ying was hers, no objections allowed.

The easiest way to sum up this web-novel is it's basically idol web-drama put into words. Full of fluff and very unrealistic cuteness. It really is the definition of idol drama. Fortunately or unfortunately I stopped at the 40th chapter as the book held nothing worth reading for me. If you're just looking to pass your time not even willing to invest any thoughts into a book, this is perfect for you. The FL has spunk making the story slightly better but other than that you got a typical rich and handsome CEO meets rich and beautiful second lead actress and their very TV-drama-like romance.

EDIT// FINALLY FINISHED THIS GEM ❤

Like any other ''overbearing and cold outside but a teddy bear for the heroine inside'' CEO novel, this one is fluffy and cute as hell and full of bitch-slap moments! ✿♥‿♥✿

It also has only 68 chapters so no dragging the plot!! So far only 42 chapters 53 chapters were fan-translated but I'll probably MTL the rest I MTL'd the rest because this couple is so damn cute.

There is just something about the characters that makes the story very heartwarming. The story centers around FL's and ML's relationship and there arent much ''drama'' but I really like how organic and somehow realistic their relationship is.

I recommend this if you want a light read that has a lof of fluffy moments.

A very cute story. No high drama. A sweet, feel good story set in the entertainment world. The romance is sweet and spicy. The MC is the one that pursues the ML initially, but rapidly the ML starts chasing her. The MC is smart, self-assured and strong. No delicate flower here, which is exactly the kind of woman the ML (an army man turned CEO) needs. Very enjoyable read, highly recommend.

What a lovely read. It’s soul-refreshing after all the gunk I’ve happened to read recently. So thankful! But what can I read now that’ll give me such a nice glow again? ;_;

This has all the trappings of a made-for-scriptwriter short story. This is not necessarily bad. Many Chinese movie television dramas are adapted from short stories and novels. Captivating storylines can be adapted into many entertainment formats. This 68 chapter short story lacks the details and intrigue to fascinate and arouse curiosity in a reader. It is just basic entertainment industry standard plots, unspoken rules, and back stabbings using Weibo as the tool. It is very predictable. Lack of imagination is the major error in this writing. It is a fast read. So, it can be quickly finished. OK to read once if bored for the couple scenes and the confident female lead who does not suffer from abuse.

I'm happy with what I read. The fluff is just right and focuses more on the lovey-dovey moments of the protagonists. It's fantastic that it was short. There isn't a main antagonist to contend with all throughout the novel. All of the characters the author introduces in that role are not invincible. The male protagonist's reputation as a wealthy CEO may have helped a little bit, I suppose.

The idea of a female lead in the entertainment industry/showbiz setting who isn't reborn or transmigrated into this universe is quite novel. Su Yi is also not trying to be the best. She's just happy to be the female # 2 in her dramas.

My man, Chu Ying, is also as steady as a rock. I adore a male protagonist who is kind, trustworthy, resourceful, and who also spoils the female protagonist to the envy of myself and the other characters in the story.

Only the end of the female lead, Su Yi, and her nephew, Xiao Bao's relationship, let me down. I assumed the author would include one more tiny obstacle to wrap everything up—her family situation. I was really excited for the decisive conflict. Family disputes are typically the last obstacle to overcome in Chinese novels before they fluff out completely. It was really lackluster. Along with being furious, I questioned why Xiao Bao was killed off. The baby received only two chapters' worth of mentions, totaling only 3 to 4 phrases. I was quite irate. I had hoped that Xiao Bao would stay and lead a much better life with the protagonists.

But overall, I thought it was good. It's a fun, quick read.

My first BG/ Yan Qing novel by JZB (after reading other BL novels)

The novel in general is just pretty cute and fluffy. If you are looking for a light-hearted short novel (for me about 8hrs straight), this is definitely a good read. Angst wise.... maybe a short portion? It really wasn't that heavy/ across many chapters.

However, my main gripe about this novel, considering that it's BG, is where are my little babies?!?!?!? I was hoping for some extras about them raising some cute little buns, but no, there wasn't :'( *cries*
Guess I will have to leave it up to my imagination.

Another confusing plot point for me is that (IIRC) it was stated that MC and ML are about 4 - 5 years apart, 24 and 28 respectively. However, there was a described scene which didn't make sense! I mean, it sounds cute when it was described.... BUT just shift the position a little and it'll be fine isn't it... (unless there were some translation errors).

Overall, this was definitely a good read and I really liked the interactions with all the (positive) minor characters.

4/5 will read again!

3.5 rounded up to 4.0~

I like this story but I also wish the author would clean and edit it a bit.

This starts as a lot of cute fluff mostly focused on the main couple spending time together. It seemed as though the story would follow along this light and fluffy vein, but no it doesn't. Just when you think you have the genre pegged, these unusual moments of depth and seriousness happen. My complaint is why the author didn't add more of them. The scenes with the female lead's nephew and the epilogue really made me tear up, but it ended before I even got to finish being sad. I wish it had been expounded a little more.

The author has untapped potential with these golden fate and tragedy moments. I hope the author can write a longer novel next time.

This was a fun read. It wasn’t perfect, but it had plenty of face slapping, weibo fights, and a protagonist who didn’t take sh*t from anyone, which was a nice change of pace. The romance was cute, but I wasn’t super into it. The male lead is a former soldier turned CEO of his family’s company, so besides the parts of the story influenced by his past as a soldier, he was fairly generic. Overall, this was a enjoyable, relatively quick read with a great protagonist. I’d recommend to fans of the entertainment industry genre who want an MC who’s strong from the start and a cute romance (with a bit of spice). 3.75 stars.

2.5⭐

It started off really good and promising but ended up being a disappointment.

One of the plot twist was so unnecessary. The author also introduces a character then forgets about them for majority of the story and then just bring them up when needed (near the end of the story), making them a supporting character that exists to make the female lead look good. Another thing that annoyed me is that it started if really slow and then suddenly becomes so fast paced and ending up with a mediocre ending.

Another typical common Chinese fluffy romance novel. The difference is this one FL loving the ML first for real and the ML fall deeper. Recommended!
