That's me, in short. I've been writing since elementary school and won my first prize in seventh grade. I am a romantic at heart and love a happy ending! Join me on this writing (and reading) journey--you won't be disappointed!
This was a lot going on. I wasn't sure if I was coming or going. I definitely never liked Ice. And now I don't lime Jah either. Jace is the only redeemable male character for me. I honestly love all the women and want Bleu to be THE MMC. He's giving very much Main Character Energy. Let's see what happens next.
Yo Ice need to grow the hell up and stop being so petty. I feel so bad for Jace he got a lot going on. Now Miss Phire I think would be better off with someone else.
When you Google the definition to the word Savage Isiah/Ice Harrison character is the perfect representation. He's violent and uncontrollable, he's an heir to a crime family, and attacks situations without an ounce of remorse. Like a savage beast he's high strung and always out of pocket. Ice is a bull headed as they come. But like all savage beasts the right sedative can paralyze them. Laila is a cold definition of good girl falls for a bad guy. Her focus is school and career, but as the story continue Laila opens a different side. So much for the good girl tactics.Last but not least Nah, ,money and sex is his motivation. Well so he thought, Jah finds himself tangle in trust, love after a night of rescue, but it it enough. This story is a non-stop page turning, every single character will have you anticipating their next move, or next thought. They will have you on the edge of your seat
Why did u do this to me ???? Come on part two quick, fast, an in a hurry. I can’t do it with these men jumping ship. Real life situations going on in this book. It was so crazy how all of them are in some sort of relationship, without the title. Cruel is an understatement to say the least. Please let them get it together. I love happy endings, just as much as change. Good book
*sigh* ... let me say that the first book that I have ever read by this author is Demon's Dream. Needless to say, that book became my favorite. So when everyone was saying how this book is so much like it, I gave it try. They could not have been more wrong.
As someone stated, these books are more about Jace and Laila, more than Phire and Ice. The title just sounded better, I guess. Ice was never appealing. Not throughout the entire two books. The first book I chose not to DNF because I started to like Elijah's character, but then he started irritating me throughout the book. Their reasoning for initially shutting off their hurt was not valid. Your daddy dogged your momma and then was sick when she got her get back, and yall never wanted to be like him ? Sounds like lack of accountability if you ask me. Simply don't do what he did.
Ice was a dog and didn't suffer enough for me. I didn't see the growth in his character for him to have the happy ending that he did. He was a manipulator, and Phire was weak. Then again, I despise cheaters. I feel like you can overcome a lot in a relationship except for cheating and abuse. He didn't even do anything to truly win her back besides foreplay and more mind games. My girl deserved better.
Elijah ... hmm, idk. His emotions were a lot, but I enjoyed the ride. But just like he wasn't quick to open his heart, he should have given that grave to Ari to understand what she had to endure. But he shook back, so I'll let me live.
Jace and Laila were the MC regardless of what the title read. I don't really have much to say on them. It is what it is, I guess.
Key becoming this "enforcer" was laughable. She went from hardheaded little sister, beating up on grown men ? Yeah ... nah.
The plot was lackluster. There were unfinished storylines such as Bleu. He just disappeared without an explanation. Built them up in the first book, dropped him in the second.
Josiah could've stayed dead, and that storyline of revenge was dumb asf. The second book sucked and the end of it was even worse. There's so much more I can say, but I'll end it here.

This story did not disappoint! Loving A Cold-Hearted Savage gave me everything I needed for this book to be amazing for me. This story had amazing characters, family, friendships, drama, deaths, threats, suspense, steamy scenes, cheating, love, romance, betrayal and so much more. Isiah "Ice" loves women, but Sapphire "Phire" has stood by him through everything, until his actions destroy her after a misunderstanding. Elijah "Jah" shows no emotions, and he lets every woman who comes across his path know but when Ariana "ARI", Colin and Nakeyah "Key" run into his life, he starts to feel things he never allowed himself to feel before, that is until Ari does something that betrays all the trust, he put into her. Jace is the top basketball player that is determined to have his tutor Laila "Lay", and she doesn't make it easy, but after opening her heart she learns exactly what it means to date someone so popular and Jace finds out that family can deceive you and save you at the same time. Bleu loves his daughter Mariah "Riah" but has some baby momma drama going on with him and his baby momma Nikki, but when he crosses paths with "Phire" will their friendship lead to something more. I absolutely love Isiah and Elijah's parents Talitha and Big Lije. Big Lije and his wife will do anything for those they love and consider theirs, and it shows in this story. I even find myself enjoying some of the crazy side characters. I'm definitely looking forward to reading the next book to get their endings. I think this story will be perfect for anyone looking for a good urban read because this one gives you everything you need and more and I repeat, it did not disappoint.
Whew, Loving a Coldhearted Savage came in swinging with straight vengeance vibes. Though this was supposed to be Ice and Phire’s story, it felt like Jah and Jace slid in and stole some of the spotlight.
Listen, I love that Jah is the definition of “my brother’s keeper.” He ride or die for his people, no questions asked. Ice better tighten up though, ‘cause I like him and Phire together, but honestly? I wouldn’t be mad if she ended up with Bleu either. The chemistry is there, and Bleu been too smooth to ignore.
Laila gon’ have to keep her head on straight ‘cause Jace’s next career move feels like it’s about to bring a whole lotta drama to the table. And something telling me Ari hiding a baby from Jah—if that’s true, whew, the fallout gon’ be wild.
And let’s talk about Josiah popping back up after everybody thought he was dead? That twist alone had me clutching my Kindle like, hold up now. I’m locked in and ready to see how all this mess plays out in Part 2, because this saga just getting started.
Ice (Isaiah Harrison) & Phire (Sapphire Henson) w/ a side of Bleu 😉 - The manwhore and the long time girlfriend he just can't do it right by until it's too late...
Jace (Joshua Taylor) & Laila McNamara - the jock at the prime of his life and the virgin tutor.
Jah (Elijah Harrison) & Ariana - 🤔 cold-hearted, Big Brother with trust issues.
I am almost glad that I read "There's Beauty in These Streets" first and met my Bae-by, Trell. It was so much fun being introduced to him, his appreciation and affinity for an intelligent, curvy woman, his passion for storytelling, and creative unaliving in this series.
Being a sucker for music and literature, I thoroughly enjoyed all the throwbacks reference throughout.
💡 OAN: covers make a difference! Must admit this one👆🏾 would not have drawn my attention versus the updated one on amazon. That definitely drew me in! JS
I read Demon’s Dream first and loved it. This story has the same type of set up with a completely different cast of characters and conflicts and it’s shorter or at least broken up. I feel like she fix the minor issues from Demon’s Dream. She split the story into multiple books so it’s not daunting and she put all the main characters in the synopsis so their story is expected. My only negative which could be a positive is each couple’s story is so good it irked me to switch from one story to the next right when something was going to happen. The author is really good at keeping you at the edge of your seat looking for more. I’m on to the next one.
What a cliffhanger!! Ugh I can’t wait to start the next book because I have sooooo many questions. As always the storyline was great and kept me engaged and losing sleep because it was a page tuner! One thing I cannot attest to is I don’t think Ariana’s first sexual experience was realistic because EVERYBODY first time is painful yet she seemed to have the opposite effect-good for her though lol. Spice was 5/5 and the drama was on 10! I need to find out what happened to Ari too because that itself was a cliffhanger. I love Elle Kayson’s writing style with her multiple characters and their POV’s. I highly recommend!!
You are clearly coming into the game full force ahead. Your writing skills are impeccable and this story had me intrigued from beginning to the end . I can't wait to find out what happens with Ice and Phire. Also what is going on with Jace brother from the dead? I think Ariana had a miscarriage and I hope this will soften Jah's heart for love. I am waiting for your next installment anxiously.
I really enjoyed the first book. But I'm really mad w Ice he didn't have to do Phire like he did, she could do a lot better. He need to grow up. Have and Lalila have a good thing I just wish Jace would have gone with his mind a held back. He better watch Paige she has something up. Where the he'll did the brother come from. Air was pregnant by Ja H I think. Can't wait for book 2.
This book has so much going on. Ice and Phire have been unofficially together since they've been teenagers but he lack of commitment has caused her to be done with him and him accusing her of an abortion when she had a miscarriage. Jah ended things with Ari because he feels as though he can't trust her. Jace going to end up loosing Laila if he keeps letting his stardom affect their relationship. I wonder where Josiah has been for the last six years.
My first introduction to this author was Demon’s Dream which was absolute perfection! Decided to check this out and she hit it out the park again! I love the female characters as well as the male characters all are well written and dynamic but Elijah is just delicious I love his character so much! The story line kept my interest from beginning to end and can’t wait to see how the story ends.
This was such an amazing ride. I needed something to hold me like Demon and Dream did and this have me. Very chaotic. Very good. Very spicy. But a very good plot too!
Ice really fxcking with my emotions and I don’t like ittttt and Jace following his lead but he better catch sense.
This story was good but I hated the characters.... they just didn't do it for me. I absolutely hated Ice and honestly didn't care for Phire that much either.
Now... the story was good. It did have some blank spots and you can tell this was one of her earlier books as the storytelling is not fully there yet.
We also get the introduction of the Kinseys in this book which I thought was super cute.
So this is definitely not the best Elle Kayson book I’ve read. It was a whole lot going on with a whole lot of people. I’m rooting for Jace…I hope Phire definitely goes with Bleu and not Ice….and Jah…well he just need someone to love him. But I was super happy to see Tre!!!! Even if only for a few scenes. I’m gone read the second book just because I want to know how it ends but I’m glad Elle got better with time.
Man Ice was a whore. He expected Phire to wait fir him. I dont want her with Bleu though. Ice just has some growing to do. Josiah? Jace and Laila i love them together but she has got to grow a backbone on Jace behind. Jah needs to stop being so cold and really understand where Ari was coming from. I hope it dont take long for part2
I'm at a loss for words!!! This ending though??? I have so many questions why Josiah staged his death?? Will Phire move on with Bleu??? Did Ice feel something with Keeli??? Jace going to ruin is relationship for Paige snake ass??? Last but not least Ariana was pregnant for Jah??? Please don't make the wait to long I'm loving this book ❤️❤️❤️
I love the way you wrote this. It was more than hood to me it was very sensual wrapped in real life. These new characters are so opposite the kinseys but will quickly become your new fan faves. I am on ya head about these next books coming out because I need more. I loved what you did with these folks and laila is my new favorite her and jace are the cutest.
Great read but you was wrong on this one come on back. Where’s Part 2. Phire & Ice have the most complexed official/non official relationship. I️ don’t think Colin died I️ think she had a miscarriage now Jah is scared. But I’m a need Angelo and Golden to have more story time they are too cute
Wait this can’t be how the ending turned out! Where is the next book? I refuse to believe this😂 but seriously I love her books the storylines are always🔥I hope Ice get it together to be better for Phire. I hope Jace is strong enough to be faithful to Laila. Elijah and Ari need to get it together too!
You play wayyyy too much with this ending lol Ice is a typical man who thinks Phire should be okay with being his main when she should be the only. I was rooting for Ari and Jah. I think Jah is doping too much with the way he handled Ari. I love Key lol that girl don't take no mess. Jace better not screw over my boo Laila!
First of all I kept trying to scroll like I know she didn’t end it like that. Ice needs to get it together because Phire ain’t playing with him and someone else is gonna snatch her up. I need Jah and Ari to get it together. I like how Jace and Laila became friends first before lovers. Can’t wait for part 2
Now talking about good from beginning to end, this book is all that. I love how childhood love remains relevant in this book, how size don’t mean a thing to Joshua when it comes to LaLa, how Jah don’t judge Ariana I think that’s her name. I love how the Kinsley men are once again in this story. Great book
Things are heating up. I was rooting for Ice to get himself together but he is really being in May. We’ll see what happens in Part 2. Where has Josiah been for 6 years? Elijah may have really messed up with Ari by being so stubborn. I wonder if she had a miscarriage this the reason she was in the hospital.
Laila should’ve told Jace the truth and he did waaaaaaay too much to her knowing should go for it cause she loved him and felt guilty for what she did. I don’t think he loved her like he said during that time to me that was pure hatred and pettiness 😭 justice for my girl Laila idc idc she did what she thought was right!
