This beautifully illustrated and well-organised book shows you how to trim your sails and rig for maximum performance afloat. With a revolutionary approach to sail and rig tuning, this book tackles the practical and realistic elements of tuning your boat as well as the theory of sail aerodynamics. The book covers the many variations in boat, sail and rig design. It has become the bible on tuning, and is a great read for all sailors.
I picked this up purely to answer the question "Does forestay tension have the same effect as jib halyard tension?" (answer: No). Lots of great, very direct, information here collected in one place, usually scattered around in bits and pieces. Recommended.
I really like the book, but the editing is terrible. Some words are just cut in half, making it difficult to understand.... almost every page! I sure want to return this ebook. I really, really, wanted this book. I will have to find something different. Any suggestions?
This book is great at explaining the principals of sailing that cross all boat types. Explains aerodynamics, rigging, and tuning. Easy enough for a beginner and solid enough for a moderately able wannabe like myself.
