Well things escalated quickly!! Whew I don’t even know where to begin! More kidnapping, ex’s popping up not knowing their places and drama galore!!! These Kinsey’s haven’t had a moment of peace since the series began. If it’s not one thing it’s another!!
Tre is pissing me all the way off and I’m ready for Shay to boss tf up on him and Keturah because they got one more time to play in her face!
I’m in love with Mir and Chantal!! They are my favorite couple hands down and despite Daria and her foolishness, I’m rooting for them!
I’m happy Cyn and Tripp are finally on the same page but I won’t hold my breath because just when things start to go well for them, here comes ish hitting the fan like only it can!
Ty and Dr. Rose are also getting on my nerves. I’m glad that Ty has been putting her in her place because her audacity has been a bit high for me when it comes to the way she passes judgement. I get that she feels like she has a lot to loose but have a little faith in the man geez!!
This mystery chick is going to be a problem I can already tell!……..Welp let’s see how this final book wraps up the series!

Playing in my face
Even knowing this was not the last book I’m still right with the way it ended. Honestly I’m tight about the whole book. First of fork Tre for real for real. I don’t care. I don’t care. He gotta show and prove and the stuff he did was so outta pocket I wrote a whole other plot in my head her Shay ducks out on him with Anton. And Mir ain’t much better. Second, if you don’t want to be treated like a common thug Ty stop acting like one all the time. Can’t treat you like something I don’t know you are and it’s definitely on you to show me. Third, even though Tripp started this mess everyone needs to be taking a page from his book. That man is perfection. This was so frustrating but so well done. Cause it’s the kinda of irritation you are invested in, not that kind that makes you want to DNF. Telling a story from so many points of view takes skill especially when the characters are all talking together it can be easy to forget who’s narrating but Kayson does it masterfully but I’m gonna need my good sis to do some groveling research cause these men aren’t having to done enough begging or repenting for me!! On to book 3!

And the plot thickens 😵💫
In the midst of being at war with a rival family, the Kinsey siblings are also learning to navigate uncharted territory: being smitten and hopelessly in love. Book 2 picks up right where the first one left off. The story was told from a lot more POVs, which can usually get messy and confusing, but this author executed it perfectly! The cliffhanger snatched me by my ponytail so I’ll be moving on to book 3 expeditiously. 😭

It’s too many damn people now. I was only invested in the 4 brothers but now it’s a lot of folk. The connections are all blurring together. For me, this story isn’t necessarily good as much as it was entertainment while I got my braids done.

I’m obsessed so I had to read the next one. Now I will say, this one pissed me off more than the first book. The story is 10s across the board but these dudes aren’t giving what they think they are. Tre can actually go to hell. There’s nothing desirable about him. Shay is down horrendously bad for him and if she was my homegirl I would body slam her. Now Tristan and Ty? GIMME DAT GIMME DAT. At least their crazy comes with reason and they’re actually nice to their gfs WOW who would’ve thought!!! Tre acts like being nice is going to give him a heart attack and the one “nice” thing he did was sorry as hell, but ofc Shay ate it right up. I hate them together. The ending was crazyyyyyyy though so I’ll be reading part 3 probably rn.
Spice is a little less cringy but still a 4/5 🌶️.

this book focused more on the growing dynamic of the kinseys, and their relationships with a side of drama & suspense and i loved it. seeing the kinsey brothers grow as men and rebuild trust within their people showed a more caring & compassionate side of them so that was nice 🫶🏽.
but that ending?? i already knowww book 3 is about to be full of some crazyyyyyyy stuff i’m not ready. but i’m hoping into it immediately!

I was going to wait until I finished all three books to give my review, but this book pissed me off so bad that I broke. The first book caught my attention. I can say that I really liked Tre and Tripp in the first one, but Tre started to lose me halfway through.
My thing is, for these men to be supposedly so street smart, they were pretty damn dumb. Like, how do you get caught up with your ex at the car wash ? You can probably eyeball a gram of hard, but can't tell when a trick is trying to set you up ? And then, when the situation starts to boil over, you start acting nonchalant like you didn't chase behind this woman. You wanna play these petty games, but cause a scene and beat folks up when she does the same ? Yeah ... no.
There are a few things I wish the author would STOP doing. Stop making these women so weak. Stop making these BBWs so insecure about themselves. Please, please, please stop the virgin storyline.
Like there is no way both of these women allowed these men to disrespect them, and the only way the problem was solved was either by sex or some weak ass apology. Please allow them to stand on business and make these males suffer or just leave them alone altogether. These "men" seriously lack emotional intelligence, and it's so frustrating. There was no real resolve of whatever problem was taking place besides being bent over and slutted out. Don't get me wrong, I like smut scenes just as much as the next woman, but baby there's only so much disrespect a woman can truly take before not being interested anymore. Hell, I was so fed up that I had started skipping over the sex scenes completely.
I am not a BBW and have never been. Never even reached the 200 lb mark, but it is so infuriating that every book that I have read by this author, the BBW character is insecure asf. I don't like that. I know beaucoup BBWs and let me you that them and so many others are just fine with their body type. If anything, they want to lose weight for health purposes, but you can not tell these women that they are not the finest things walking, and I love that. Please give us BBWs with confidence.
The Virgin storyline is getting old fast. I've read Demon's Dream, Phire and Ice, and now this one, and the obsession with virginity is getting pretty cringe.
The different POVs from random characters were annoying. Like Ty and Dr. Rose. Honestly, I didn't even read any of their chapters. Same with Tamar and Angel. Just skipped right over it.
Now, what I did like was how Devyn beat Tre's ass real quick. So many heterosexual men down play homosexual men because of their sexual preferences, but still forget that they are still men at the end of the day. The most dangerous kind of men because although most of their fighting styles are like a woman's they still have their masculine strength. And seeing Tre get his ass tapped made my night. I loved that for him.
I'm going to finish this series, but after that, I think I'm done with this author as well.

This is such a disaster of a romance novel and yet I’m locked in.
Was Tre’s gym speech an actual apology and supposed to heal their relationship?! Because… ma’am🫠.
What a dysfunctional and cavemen (not in a good way) set of men and very one dimensional set of women.
Can’t wait to see how the author pulls this together. Surely, this improves.

4.25 🌟 This was sooooo messy!!! These Kinsey brothers & their women are a whole reality TV show, & I am here for it! So much drama, unhinged-ness, alpha male big d*ck energy going around I just whiplash lol.
But on a serious note, I really enjoyed all the different POVs especially from the brothers. I am loving getting to know them more than the FCs tbh, because they are all so complex & definitely more than what meets the eye. I'm rooting for Tripp & Cyn most because honestly they are the least messiest imo, & that's saying a lot about all the other couples because their storyline is messy af lol!
I'm ready to see how Elle Kayson wraps up this trilogy in the last & final book, because there are so many storylines going on & I'm invested in seeing how they all play out. “Jane Doe” is definitely a curve ball that I didn't see coming, but I ain't mad at it... The more the merrier at this point. Also I hope Katerah & Daria messy a**es get what's coming to them, because they are just doing the most at this point smdh.

You'll have to get to know the Kinsey family & all their messy drama for yourself if urban fiction/urban romances strike your fancy. I like how the story picks right back up where part one left off. The Kinsey brothers are dealing with lurking enemies while also trying to navigate their relationships. They are finally starting to realize that the women in their lives need to be treated better and not like the men in the streets. This book brings more drama, spicy moments, and action. It's about to get real in the streets now that the enemy has decided to go after who the Kinsey men cherish the most.

I don’t know what it is about this story but the ride gets wilder and wilder with each book. Book 2 goes deeper into vulnerability in love and security. The Kinsey family gets rocked in ways they couldn’t imagine, coming face to face with their pride and learning how to love. These cliffs be hanging though.

This June kinna pissed me off. It gave more controlling rich n*gga more than unhinged love story. Trenell’s knew Shay was a virgin and inexperienced and it felt like he just kept playing with her and the way he kept flashing out on everyone and fighting all the men but he kept playing in her face wasn’t cute. He’s stubborn and wanna keep Her as his peace, while she pregnant but he wanna be a clown and get his meat sucked. I’m definitely disappointed.

I stopped reading a lot of urban books, because they were all starting to have the same storyline. I'm so glad I gave this one a try. Even though all the men were overly controlling, and chauvinistic ( This wouldn't work for me in real life),. There is something so sexy about these Kinsey men. You almost want to tell these women, just shut up, and do what he says lol. Tre and mouse, and Cyn and Tripp are my favorite couples. I may be in the minority, but I'm not really feeling the doctor for Ty, he's good enough to f--k, but not good to go out with. ( Girl bye!!!). Maybe Jane doe is what he needs. Anyway well done. I can't wait for part 3.

Queen Elle Kayson has become one faves but, this was nothing like the first 2 books I read by her. I must say it was a struggle keeping up with sooo many new characters, then there's the characters that should've either been left in book one or killed of in the beginning of 2🤷🏽.
Let's start with the 2 pain in the a** ratchet exes Daria and Katerah🙄. After it was revealed Daria baby belonged to her man Robert, she needed to have just been dropped from the book cause her storyline was not needed. Same for Katerah, after the bs in book one she should've been left in book one, she was not needed in 2.
Ol sorry excuse for a phuck boy daddy Aaron🙄. That ninja was barely a daddy in one, so trying to have him and Cyn "reconcile" in 2 had me🙄🙄🙄.
My faves were Tamir & DuBois(Chantal)💕. Despite the unnecessary drama from outside entities and them pretending they weren't still head over hills in love with each other, they became my favorite couple. Tamir was the cause of why their relationship went downhill but, when Chantal secret was revealed😳😡. Once the dust settled they spoke their truths and started working towards rebuilding.
Tripp & Cyn🤦🏾. These two🙄, well it was more her then him. She irked my motherfudgesicklestix nerves always in everybody else business instead tending to her own ish🙄😔. I was glad Tripp gave her a lil taste of her own medicine and made her choose. That man know he loves her and her baby💕. Tripp be ready to go to war with her and her baby daddy behind Cynna and I love it💕.
Lil Ty & Dr. Rose(Briar)🤦🏾. These two are something else. She so worried about what the masses will think, she gone eff around and miss out😜. Cause the way that sexy motherfudgesicklestix had her spread out on her desk at WORK😜😂. I hollered when Ty told her he wasn't given her the🍆until she was ready to stop trying to keep him a secret😂😂😂.
Tre & Shay🙄🤦🏾😡. These two right here just couldn't get it right. Shay, I swear sis forgot she had a brain cause everybody was making decisions for her. Everybody's opinion mattered and when she finally chose, but did she chose didn't. Nah, Tre show his a** the entire book, beyond disappointed in the petty ish he kept doing🙄. Shay went to far with Anton. She let her friends gas her up thinking ish was gonna be sweet knowing her real man/Baby daddy ain't working with a full deck🙄😂🤦🏾. I don't blame him for that beat down he gave Anton cause I was over his messy a** the moment he stepped on the scene🤷🏽. Tre & Shay ish was already messy, they ain't need that extra ish🙄. I hope they get they ish together for book 3

Thanks for the heads up,” I told him. “I’m sorry if I’ve given you niggas the impression that I need your permission or give a fuck what y’all think.” “Nigga, who the fuck you talking to?” Tripp aimed his gun and cocked it again. “Chill,” I told him. “This dude is delusional if he thinks we finna let our sister hook up with a hit man.” He tilted his head to one side. “I wonder if Tavion said the same thing?” I ignored that. “Stay away from her.” Angel smiled. “Tre… you know me because you know yourself. So you know damned well how this is about to go down. Goodnight.” We watched as that nigga slipped into the shadows. This whole scene had me😳👀 and😂😂😂. The way he handled them😳😂. He's the only new character who fit well with the storyline. I actually love him for their sister Tay and I'm looking forward to what becomes of them in book 3.

My faves were Tamir & DuBois(Chantal)💕. Despite the unnecessary drama from outside entities and them pretending they weren't still head over hills in love with each other, they became my favorite couple. Tamir was the cause of why their relationship went downhill but, when Chantal secret was revealed😳😡. Once the dust settled they spoke their truths and started working towards rebuilding.
Tripp & Cyn🤦🏾. These two🙄, well it was more her then him. She irked my motherfudgesicklestix nerves always in everybody else business instead tending to her own ish🙄😔. I was glad Tripp gave her a lil taste of her own medicine and made her choose. That man know he loves her and her baby💕. Tripp be ready to go to war with her and her baby daddy behind Cynna and I love it💕.
Lil Ty & Dr. Rose(Briar)🤦🏾. These two are something else. She so worried about what the masses will think, she gone eff around and miss out😜. Cause the way that sexy motherfudgesicklestix had her spread out on her desk at WORK😜😂. I hollered when Ty told her he wasn't given her the🍆until she was ready to stop trying to keep him a secret😂😂😂.
Tre & Shay🙄🤦🏾😡. These two right here just couldn't get it right. Shay, I swear sis forgot she had a brain cause everybody was making decisions for her. Everybody's opinion mattered and when she finally chose, but did she chose didn't. Nah, Tre show his a** the entire book, beyond disappointed in the petty ish he kept doing🙄. Shay went to far with Anton. She let her friends gas her up thinking ish was gonna be sweet knowing her real man/Baby daddy ain't working with a full deck🙄😂🤦🏾. I don't blame him for that beat down he gave Anton cause I was over his messy a** the moment he stepped on the scene🤷🏽. Tre & Shay ish was already messy, they ain't need that extra ish🙄. I hope they get they ish together for book 3

He's the only new character who fit well with the storyline. I actually love him for their sister Tay and I'm looking forward to what becomes of them in book 3.

Wow is all I can say, this book was everything!!!! This book had you hooked from the very beginning. I have not been able to put this book down until I fully read the book. Now that I have finished it i now know that I have to wait for the next book D@*N!!!!! I have to say I love all the oyples in this book I was rooting for all the relationships worked out and didn't come to an end because man oh man were their relationships tested through out this book. I liked the fact the the women all had educations and were strong black women loved that most of all. Please hurry with the next book please and great job Elle on a job well done!!!!

Oh my god part two was just as good as part one it picked right back up where part one left off!! I couldn't put it down loved it Elle Kayson definitely didn't disappoint. I hated to see the book come to an end. The author quickly draws you into the Kinsey Family world in pt 1 and continues the drama & suspense in pt 2. Love the way the brothers do anything to protect the women in their lives. Patiently waiting for next book...

Just when I thought the series couldn't get more crazier with these characters. I must admit part 2 was an excellent follow up. I was happy Cynn let her guard down from Tripp crazy ass. And Dubois having this mystery baby really pulled everything together. I cannot wait to see the results to the DNA test on Daria baby 😂😂😂. Tripp had me 🤣 with his jokes. I'm ready to see how Tre gonna handle them getting to Shamar and being pregnant. Angels character definitely was intriguing as well.

Excellent Book!!
Book two didn't disappoint! I love the brother's relationship, this book had me laughing one minute while on pins and needles the next. Great storyline and a quick read. You won't be disappointed if you take the journey with the brothers.

My 5 star rating is because the story line and characters are great. The Kinsleys aren't average men they go hard for love ones. It's always excitement in this book. I can never break from reading them. Please hurry and finish book 3 and I also want a 4th one and 5th. Great Job Elle Lays on keep writing !!!!!

This book had so much going on and so many POV’s.
The book is good but it took a hit from the first book to me because I felt as though the female characters weren’t as strong. This author made them quite dumb and accepting of anything when I came to their men as long as they made up with sex. Seemingly sex was the all time fix for every issue within each relationship in this book.
There is great drama, great spice, wonderful character development and so much more. Just that part was my major problem. I love strong female characters who know their worth.

My first book by Elle Kayson was Demon’s Dream and I loved, loved, loved it. However this series is not my cup of tea. I usually stay away from “urban books” but enjoyed the authors writing so I didn’t think it would be bad. I don’t understand why these “men” have to put their hands on their lovers.
