That's me, in short. I've been writing since elementary school and won my first prize in seventh grade. I am a romantic at heart and love a happy ending! Join me on this writing (and reading) journey--you won't be disappointed!
The ending of this series kinda flopped for me a little bit! For as much that went on over the course of these three books, I feel like things could’ve been wrapped up better than what they were! I know there is a spin off series so I assume we get answers there but to take me through three books and 5 couples to end it with the bare minimum was disappointing. I’m going to check out the spinoff series to hopefully get the conclusion that I didn’t get from this book!
Write the script up. Draw up the contracts. Prep the inspo box for the producer. Do whatever it is so I can see this series live and in living color. Cause lord the drama, the comedy, the family dynamics, the BDE. For real though Tripp is still my favorite but I guess I’ll let the other Kinsey’s live, they aight. I definitely rocks with Briar, she’s my fav. I think the power dynamic between her and Ty is more equal than all the others which is why their relationship feels so solid and I could sympathize with Ty’s feelings a little more in the end. Tripp and Cyn was still the strongest relationship though. Man I really want to push through and start the spin off but my reader mood shifted. I’ll be back though!
This series didn’t knock me off my feet to begin with but it certainly fell short. As mentioned at the end of book, it was too many characters to keep up with for me. I couldn’t tell you who, what, when or where by the end of this. The ending just felt abrupt and rushed.
I'm sad this is over. I need more th brothers. They are toxic and need more smoothing but for some reason I'm drawn to it how I'm not usually drawn to this genre.
There's love here. It just looks different from what I've had.
Wow what a way to conclude the series! The twists the turns of the plot! The love the understanding the spice! And now there’s a spin off!!! Can’t wait to dive in! Ms Elle Kayson you are that girl!!!
This was an explosive end to a wonderful series that still has a few stories to tell.I can't wait to get my hands on Tamar and Angel's story.Yes I think Anton deserves his own story.I loved the way the writer gives you a view of a family ,the inside workings and the women they l I 've.It is also refreshing to get a story that not all about being that gangster. This was such a very good story and a very entertaining series.
Ya know, this had drama up until the last chapter that I honesty thought it'd end on a cliff hanger but i'm content with the ending. i don't know if i'm necessarily in a rush to read tamar and angels story but this trilogy was the embodiment of chefs kiss. it's docked a point because the multiple POV with same letter names is DIFFICULT to keep up and i found myself only knowing who was who based on their significant other referenced throughout the chapter. still cannot recommend this trilogy enough after reading demons dream.
This series started out GREAT. Idk what happened though. It got super boring along the way especially in part 3. All the sex was unnecessary and could have been cut out for the sake of shortening to just 2 books. Making this drag through 3 parts killed it for me. I do like the characters though except for Briar idk I wasn’t feeling her and Ty chemistry at all. I think he should’ve had a different love interest.
Wow... What a series.. Wanted more, but this was hook, line, and sinker!!!
This was truly a wonderful series albeit some disappointing areas, it was still good. All grammatical was on point, all sceneries were on point, all twist and turns were on point, but some flaws was still in the shadows. Shamar kind of stop her whining but she still was kind of acting a tad childish. Although she was the main character by default (because of Tre) she was truly not the only character. For that it was annoying because at one point it felt as if others had more "time allocated than others" Tremelle, well he is still bae all day, everyday. Then you have Tripp. Ty and Mir well, mostly Mir were really acting their age at being both respectively a year apart from each other, but playing in the field of the elders, you had to act as such. What truly killed me in this whole series was the disregard or the lack of research on how a kingpin organization (at least in mind) is supposed to function, where there is heavy security, very hard to infiltrate, has practically the whole town official and government in the palm of their hand and the big one is that no one truly knows who you are because you are litterarily a ghost where you can walking into a place and only a few will know who you are and no one else. In this series, too many knew who they were p, walk around very open and yet nothing happens. Then you have Tre who just came out of prison, but he has ever not once be careful that the law is not monitoring his movements and all to bring him back, weird. I could keep on going on and on and on but the way MS. Kayson has twist, woven, turn and presented this story, all of this has shadowed over and we were left with a wonderful, romantic, family, friendship love story of how 5 individuals are tackling "life". Unfortunately I do t know yet if I will be grabbing Tamar's story because I truly want to keep this feeling as such. Even though I would like to hear more about Shamar and how Tre will be doing with two babies (didn't really like the ending), but to go thru 2 books just to get this closure, I don't know yet. I do know that MS. Kayson is one of my fav that I will be following and this weekend will be binging on her books😀👏....
4 🌟 This was a decent trilogy & I ain't mad about it. Even though the last book was kinda rushed imo, I still enjoyed getting to know the Kinsey brothers & all their unhinged-ness!
Tripp & Cyn were unexpectedly my favorite couple, I really loved how Tripp accepted & loved Cynaa like his own, & I didn't expect the plot twist that was a part of their storyline, but it was a nice addition to the overall plot of the book(s). And their banter was the best imo. I wonder what happened to Aaron's conniving, deadbeat a** btws... Would've been nice to know what story Tre told him lmao!
In the end, I'm rooting for all the couples to get their HEA, especially Mir & Chantal because they had the most drama imo, even though all of them Kinsey boys had (except Tripp) some side chick problems to deal with, Daria was the worst with her delusional a** lol! 😮💨🙄
I'm doing my best to give a decent review without spoiling anything... This scratched my “Demon's Dream” itch because I was on such a reading high after reading that one, only a Elle Kayson book could keep me out of a reading slump. Messy, unhinged, multiple POVs, funny banter, spicy spice, brotherhood, loyalty, & everything else needed to make an urban romance worth reading is found in this series!
Now that I am finished with this series, I can really give a good breakdown of everything. I want to start off by saying, I believe this series was trying to almost be like "Demon's Dream." Especially with the whole scene of Aaron trying to take Cyn and the daughter away. Things just seemed too close to that book. (That book still has me hooked.) Maybe that is just her writing style? Idk... Overall, the series was cool. I think I am most happy that the back-and-forth stuff Cyn and Shamar was over by the third book. Ty and Mir seemed to be my favorites though. Honestly, I don't think I have too much to say about the characters. Lol In a way, I do feel like there wasn't much chemistry with Shamar and Tre, not sure why, it just didn't give what I wanted it to. Idk... I still like Elle as a writer. Adding more of her books to my library.
3.5 stars If you made it to book 3, I bet you’re like me. Where you started at book 1, had to know what was going to happen in book 2 and then quickly downloaded book 3! Like the previous books, TRIGGER WARNINGS abound. Be mindful if you’re sensitive to graphic depictions of murder, torture, talk of rape. We pick up immediately from book 2 where’s there’s been a kidnapping. Actually, they’ll be 2 kidnappings in this book. There shenanigans, nonsense, lots of love making, new and old alliances, multiple double crossings, etc. It’s really like the most ridiculous and amazing soap opera. And, while parts were insane, I could not out it down. You may not love this book but you’ll definitely enjoy the wolf ride it will take you on.
Aaron was one worrisome dude that should've taken that loss instead of going about things the way he did. Ced knew better and still did the unthinkable but I'm glad Tre didn't do him like most. Storm was blowing me since she clearly couldn't take a hint. Briar wasn't playing any games and I was glad she gave Ty a chance. I can't wait to read more about Angel and Tamar to see how far their bond truly goes. Man Case was dumb considering how crazy he knew how all the Kinsey's were. I was happy for each couple and the fact Mir was willing to get the help he needed not to lose Chantal and Noah.
Lions and tigers and goons..oh my! In the final installment of The Beauty of This Street Love trilogy, the Kinseys try not to lose control as things heat up in the streets and in their love lives.
This series was a genuinely good time! I did not expect to lol as much as I did while reading these books. Tripp was my favorite of the brothers. He was just as deranged and out of pocket as Tre at times but in a chill, smooth way. 😂 I loved seeing Shamar boss up from the ‘Mouse’ she was in book 1, even though we didn’t get as much of her in book 3. Overall, I think this was a perfect blend of drama, family dynamics, and of course BDE.
i don’t wanna say goodbye to the kinsey family at all 🥹🫶🏽.
overall i highly enjoyed this series, and after finally finishing it i definitely wanna read it again. the character development, to ongoing yet interesting storyline, the bonds between the characters, everything about this series makes you wanna laugh, cry, or even gasp and i couldn’t get enough of it.
definitely gonna miss shamar and cynn, and tre crazy self and all the characters. really an enjoyable series and i wasn’t at all mad with how it wrapped up. just wish i could get a little more because i know i’m gonna miss them! 😩
This series Has been so entertaining and the story was well thought out. 4 thing is man with a sweet spot. Even their sister was rowdy this go round. The love that flourish through this story was the best part, Briar and Ty's story I really started to fall for. I like how he handled her but more when gave Strom the fade. Briar was a little insecure, but that didn't fade Ty. He loved her just how she was. Aaron was such a cry baby, like you can't make someone love you. Everything flowed together just right, Mouse finally got the date she was looking for.
Series was ok, not a page turner for me. I tried to finish series but I couldn’t, I read about 3 chapters of book 3 and I was only trying to find out about the DNA. To have kept story interesting, you should’ve let the baby been Tamir. I like strong women characters someone more like Tamar character. Being in love is good but that’s all their characters are about, just loving a man to death, crying and they don’t contribute nothing concrete to the story. I’m sorry for this review.
I absolutely loved this series! I don't know what I enjoyed more the drama, the comedy, or the spice. This series had me literally laughing out loud and kicking my feet. I loved that it was written from all the character's pov. These Kinsey men were all unhinged, unstable, and unwell, but boy, did they love their ladies.. If I'm not going to play about or with you, I'm going to spin the block about you, I will snatch you up were people it's definitely the TNK clan... Great read. Highly recommend
I absoutely loved the Kinseys!!! It stepped away from the typical urban dope boy storyline. It wasn't filled with a lot of hood rats causing confusion. I loved how the men wemt in for their women and still was able to maintain that thug appeal. I can't wait for Angel's story and I got a feeling that Storm and Anton going to cross paths!!! I will definitely be lookimg out your books!!!
Let me tell you a story ( lol) This book was so Good that this girl reading it could not put it down. She turned every page anticipating the action and drama awaiting. This book was so Good that if she could give it 100 stars she would. Do you want to know what else? 😁 She cannot wait for whatever comes next because she is sure it will be just as good as this. Moral to this story if you haven't read this series. You CRAZY.
Talking about real love, now all you men needs to take note because these guys know and values how a lady is supposed to be cared for. I love this book because it shows loyalty, faithfulness and love. I’m so happy for Cyn because she and Trip are my favorite couple. However I love them all and can we get a book about Devon because he’s a trip and I love his character
“What in the hell you got your head down for?” he asked, his attitude obvious as we got in his car. “I been telling you since I moved you in to know your place. I’m with you. I live with you. I have a family with you. You shouldn’t even look twice at these thirsty ass broads, but you out here fighting in public. A queen never steps off her pedestal to entertain the peasants.” -Tamil to Chantell about Daria
I’m so glad that there will be spin-offs for these characters. It’s not easy to develop plots for so many different characters and couples, but Elle did that beautifully! This story was so much fun to experience, and I honestly can’t wait to read more about the Kinsleys and Angel’s extra sexy self. I hope Briar at least gets to smack Storm, and I hope Storm finds the help she needs to really heal. I’m hooked, and can’t wait for more!
