We've been through the introductions...

Now, the men have one chance to prove themselves or face elimination.

I've chosen a small group of men for my first group date, and one terrifying lumberjack tree for my solo date. But Kyler is more determined than ever to make this the weirdest, strangest season ever of Supernaturalette. Nothing on this show is as it seems, including the men.

Meanwhile, I need to discover who murdered the show's costume designer...before the murderer comes after me.

Let the first dates begin.

This is a SERIAL-STYLE reverse harem romance. Each book will be approximately 100 to 200 pages. After every release, a poll will be placed in my reader's group for the contestants. Each installment - including dates and eliminations - will be decided exclusively by the readers. This book will end in a cliffhanger, so be warned.

100 pages, Kindle Edition

I think this must be one of the most fun concepts I've come across lately. We, the readers, have actually some influence on the story. I mean, it's not like we can each have what we want, but we can vote and from there it's a democracy. I'm really exited to see how our choices will influence the story and how the story will influence our choices. (Because lets be honest, there is some nudging and pushing in the right direction here :P)

But, that's not the only thing I love about this series! I also love the mix between the Bachelorette concept and a far bigger mystery that overshadows the show and the story. In between all the dates and the flirting we also get glimpses of the past in exciting flashbacks and we have quite a few mysteries that need to be solved. There is a killer on the loose and it seems that the men trying to win the lady's hand all come with their own backstories and issues too.

It does also help that Ridley is an easy to like and easy to identify with character. She's badass and has ambitions of her own, but she's also insecure at times, she has all those heavy emotions rushing through her veins and she gets shy and awkward in situations where flirting is being done. On top of that she has magic, which makes her even cooler. But, it's not hard to see why all the guys would fall for her and would want to win her heart in the end.

And then, last but not least, we have the guys. All of them are unique and weird in their own way. I have to admit that some clearly get a little more time to shine than others, and yet they are all interesting and I'm so sad that we will see some of them go in the next book already! May clearly put a lot of thought into all her characters though and I hope that one way or another we might see them back in other books if they don't last in this one.

Maybe there are moments you see that this is written as fast as possible to get the next installment out as soon as possible, but it's still an awesome read and I can't wait to read the next book!

The intros are over and now it’s onto the first dates. No eliminations. Ten for the group date and one for the solo date. I laughed so hard during this one. Comedy, flashback heartbreak thanks to Grant and an ongoing murder mystery. Not one for love triangles or jealousy but I’m happy Grant isn’t getting a free ride. I’m really liking Ethan and Quinn together. The two of them are comedy gold. I also like Zade, he’s so sweet. Still not liking Jace. But he wasn’t the worst one this time. I didn’t like Criss or Jamie. I like m/m but these two are too wrapped up in each other to give a damn about the mc.

The two that stood out that weren’t on the dates was Julian for baking cookies and Kaleb showing his shy side and that poem. I’m enjoying this series. Fingers crossed none of my favourites die.

Jerome - cat
Fernando - frog
Julian - demon ✅
Brandon - monkey
Ren- Tree✅
Kaleb- kraken✅
Aaron - Hellhound
Ethan- vampire ✅
Talon- Valkyrie
Leon - Lion
Chase - Angel
Keller - Banshee✅
Stephan - Unicorn
Norman - Garden gnome
Quinn - Incubus✅
Atlantis - Merman
Criss - Wendigo + Jamie❌
Edward - Werewolf
Lincoln - Cupid
Dino - T-Rex
Liam - Leprechaun
Zade - Zombie✅
Jace Lay - Gorgon ❌
Grant - Grim reaper

I really love this series and the concept. On top, with mysteries to solve - not only the mystery of the murder, but the issues and backstories behind the guys.

And it is funny to read. I laughed so much and enjoy the encounters with the men. Furthermore, we get flashbacks about Ridley and the previous relationship with Grant. Ridley is a special character. Though, I have a serious case of second-hand embarrassment, I like Ridley and can relate to her. She is always herself, has ambitions and wants to prove herself, even with some bouts of insecurity. She has her quirks, like her magic that goes of the rails sometimes and her flirting abilities (no filter option 😂). Furthermore, she is unique and cute in her awkward ways, that it's easy to see why the guys would want her and be part of the show.

Not to forget all the men. Each of them are unique too. With their own issues and quirks. No one is like the other. I'm sad, that we can't keep them all. And as I stated in the first review, it's a lot of work to put all the men into the plot and give them equivalent time during the book. So, some appear more than others. But that's the risqué, and probably the reason, why there aren't more books with so many men.

I can't wait to read the next one. It's fantastic!

This series is incredibly fun to read. I have to admit that I've never watched Bachelorette so I have no clue what is supposed to happen in the show, but I think it is incredibly cool that the author has created an interactive series where her readers can vote for the participants and decide who goes on dates and who gets eliminated. You have to read book one Introductions, before you red this one.
This book was even more fun then the first one because there are more flashbacks, and we finally found out what happened to Ridley before. Also, there are some really fun activities happening, as Ridley goes on the first dates.
The suspense is increasing as the story continues where the previous book left off. The author did a great job giving us more information about the contestants, as well as Ridley. I am loving her character something fierce.
And although we find out what and why, there are so many new questions that I can't wait to find out the answer to. There is more to Ridley, there is more to each of the contestants and the presenter is still a mystery.
I am loving this whole series and the idea, and I can't wait for the next book to come out. I love this author and her ideas!

My biggest gripe, that this is written in a short serial episode type format, that I hate. You just get started, and hit the end of the book, with a cliff-hanger into the next serial episode. I'm definitely not a fan of serial episodes, I've quit other author's serial episode books because that's what they were. I'd rather read a 150-200 page book in a regular series, but that's just me. The main character, Ridley, is really quite funny in one of those quirky snorty ways, I don't think this series is meant to be taken seriously. I don't like that the readers get to choose for the next book, as it seems like certain characters get short changed & others get too much time. I'm hoping as this continues that the characters will become more rounded out, because right now, they are all a little flat. I liked a lot of the male characters in the 25 group of contenders. It was hard to read that many likable characters & know she has to eliminate so many of them, but I personally dislike that the readers get so much say into the story. I'll pick up the next book & see where it goes, but may or may not commit to reading the whole series at this point.

First dates

Ridley gets to pick her favourites for a solo and group date after the men were introduced in the previous book.

What I love most about this series is the way we get to know these characters piece by piece. There's a lot of men, so it is very gradually, but as a reader I love to focus on those tiny details that make each one of them stand out.

We also get an overarching plot line, which is introduced mainly through snippets from the past, but it clearly ties in with the present. People who have read multiple reviews of me, will know that past/present timejumps are a hit and miss for me. In this case, it is a BIG HIT!

I adore Katie May’s writing but I don’t think this serial format really works for me. I’m not a fan of the Bachelor-verse so… yeah not for me. But somehow I am still intrigued and will likely read everyone of the next books. Ridley got to “know” (as much as possible in this small book and massive cast of characters) more of the guys. I found her date with Ren to be adorable and the best part about this book. I love the idea of an interactive series so I need to catch up so I can participate in future polling. There are TOO many guys. I love the reverse-harem trope that Katie May does fabulously but 20 dudes… many of them don’t feel distinct to me. If you have kindle unlimited read up!

Things are heating up

We got some more info about the past in this book as well as 2 good dates. I love the uniqueness of having the reader driven build a harem story. Things heat up overall with the overarching problem \mystery as well as a bit with the guys. There's still some great places humor and my favorite moment this round may be a tie between one with a tree & one with Criss and Jamie. Overall a good quick read. I can't wait to see what's next and hopefully my favorite men will be in it for the long haul. Would recommend.

This is way too good to miss out

So in this very cool installment of the bachelorette we have the solo date and the 1st group date. I have not laughed so much while reading in a bit. The group date was so, so, so good and it helped narrow down a few of the guys. The solo date was cute but the baby tree fiasco was freaking gold! I absolutely adore Ren and man I can't wait for more.

Cute fun mystery

I am loving this series! It is so interactive with all the polls and getting to vote for who goes on the dates! We are starting to get a little more back story on Ridley and Grant's past, as well as the other guys. I liked that others still got a moment even if they were not on the date. Definitely liking more some then others, but they are all intriguing with their own stories and mysteries. Definitely ready for more!

Great read

Good addition to the serial. I just prefer a whole book. Love the majority of the characters and Ridley is hilarious. So complaints, nothing to do with the reading material itself. This book has been out a week and I just now found it. I almost missed the poll. I am a member on Facebook and Katie's newsletter but have not received alerts on either one and before you think yes my notifications are on.

Things are getting interesting

The second installment of Supernaturalette has Ridley choosing guys for a group date and one guy for a solo date. Don’t forget that in the midst of all the dating and getting to know the guys, Ridley is desperately trying to figure out who may be a murderer before they get to her.

Join Ridley and the guys as they navigate reality tv love and try to stay alive!

Hilarious and ramping up the mystery

I did not know what to expect starting these book but oh boy am I not disappointed. Ridley is absolutely hilarious in all of her awkward glory. I love her door in mouth syndrome and self deprecating humor. She’s a treat.

The guys are a mishmash of comedic gold and I can’t wait for more of them. The mystery of all of them, Ridley’s recent past and the show itself is intriguing all on its own. So excited for the next installment

I’m not normally a fan of novellas, but I’m loving this supernaturalette series - and that we get to vote for who stays. I’m this episode of Supernaturalette Ridley goes on her first group date and first solo date. We also learn more about her history with Grant. We get to see a slightly different side to Julian and Jace. I’m still loving REN and can’t wait to see what happens next :)

I absolutely loved this! Fell even more in love with some of the characters! (I already know who I'm rooting for!) The plot is also thickening as we move along! The female main character is hilarious and has 0 filter. It's so refreshing! I also love that this is an interactive experience! So cool that we as the readers get to vote as the story unfolds! Can't wait for the next book! Xoxo

Just as laugh out loud funny as the first instalment! :D

I just love this interactive series so much so far. It's so lighthearted, and I love that Ridley is a bit of a clutzy, no filter leading lady! Only holding back that last star because I just know theres so much more to come from this series.

Good read

A good well written story that has you guessing what's going to happen next. I enjoyed getting to know more about the men and what there like. The back story of Ridley and what she's had to face so far and the murder that she thinks might have something to do with her past. Over all I enjoyed this story and loved her date with ren. You can't help but love the guy

Second book in the series. Ridley chooses 10 guys for her group date and one solo date. Throw in a murder mystery in the overarching plot theme, a new mystery to stir things up,a do some funny times with the contestants and you have this book.

Can’t wait for the next installment.

Great book and fun idea

This a great book and good idea for reader interaction. I definitely think Ren should stay. As well as Quinn, Edward, Criss and Jaime, and the satanic angel (what's his deal) obviously Grant.
