Evaran and the gang travel to a galaxy in the Horologium-Reticulum Supercluster in AD 801,699 to deal with not one summons, as they usually do, but two that are related to each other. The retrieval of Dalton Kingston is one summons, and the second is a day ahead to a ship a few light years away.

The problem is that the summonses lead the gang into the Tenagrin Hegemony, a brutal empire run by the Tenagrins, a snake-like species who have advanced far beyond their natural technological evolution. Another issue is they also want to retrieve Dalton Kingston and have a vested interest in the second summons.

Kess, from a previous adventure, joins up for this outing, and with some new allies, they will need to deal with not only the summonses but the Tenagrin Hegemony and a galactic region that fears humanoids.

I have been dreaming about fictional worlds since I was a kid. I devoured anything related to fantasy and science fiction. I developed a setting over the last twenty years and struggled to find a medium I could express it in. Several years ago, I discovered I enjoyed writing. It is a passion of mine now, and exploring my setting with it has been an awesome journey.

I work in the information technology field and have my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in it. It has helped me to shape some of the concepts I write about. I also enjoy keeping up on futurology and science in general.

I live in central Ohio and enjoy walking, reading, gaming, learning, listening to music, and trying to keep up on my never-ending list of TV shows and movies to watch. If you want to contact me, you can do so on my website at

The Time Cube: Book 11 of The Evaran Chronicles by Adair Hart is a book I requested and the review is voluntary. This is a terrific series! This adventure starts with the ship sending two summons to the gang! The ship! If course the trips are never easy! They do add a new team member! New characters are introduced, and intriguing creatures/species. Fun sci-fi!

Summary:

Evaran and his crew find out that that their ship the Torvatta is sending them on not one, but two summonses. Evaran assumes that the first one is linked to the second, but the adventure they are about to begin will take them to a galaxy far away. Dalton Kingston has traveled far from home using a strange cube that saved him from his dying world, but now his luck is about to run out. The summonses take the crew to a world ruled by one race while controlling all other races. Dalton finds himself in a fight he doesn’t know if he can win, that is until Evaran arrives and the odds change. Evaran will always protect those who need his help and when they find a unique being being held captive the crew gives the creature a chance to survive. Little do they know that that one act of kindness may change everything in the worlds controlled by the Tenegrin Hegemony.

This was a fascinating way of introducing Dalton Kingston into the series allowing the reader to understand what happened to him making him the man he is as his series begins. It was wonderful how the entity that Evaran saved took on human-like qualities becoming a new species. Bob’s childlike wonder reminded each of the crew to cherish every moment and never give up hope. This is an incredible edition to The Evaran Chronicles. I for one can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Why Are The Tenagrins So Advanced?

Evaran unexpectedly receives two summons, the first one is to rescue Dalton Kingston. With Emily, Dr. Snowden, and Kess on board they travel to a galaxy 1.2 billion light-years away in the year AD 801,669 where Dalton is stranded and in trouble on the Tenagrin ruled planet Heristacan. Then they travel to the second summons, find a damaged Tenagrin ship and rescue the sole foreign entity on board. It is now clear that the Tenagrin Hegemony is hostile, but the crew will soon find out they are much more than that.

Adair Hart has put together another captivating book, so packed with action it is difficult to write a review without giving away too much of the story. Suffice to say you will really enjoy this journey of Everan’s adventures. You’ll meet new characters and get to know the regulars a bit better. Trust me, there is so much action you won’t want to put this book down.
