Sins of Mercy #3
Sloth
The third story in the Sins of Mercy series.
No one is more productive at work than Mercy, who is blessed with lust and avarice - and both sins leave her with too much energy! For a week Mercy has not slept a wink, opting to instead put in overtime at work, clean her house every day, and probably train for a marathon, too. It's gotten to the point where her coworkers are noticing her for all the wrong reasons.
That's why the next sinner to visit her is Sloth, a lethargic beauty who invites Mercy into her "dream world." What Mercy discovers on the other side of consciousness is a world where anything is possible. Anything except actual sleep!

Hildred Billings
157 books328 followersHildred Billings is a Japanese and Religious Studies graduate who has spent her entire life knowing she would write for a living someday. She has lived in Japan multiple times in multiple locations, from the heights of the Japanese alps to the hectic Tokyo suburbs, with a life in Shikoku somewhere in there too.
Currently, Hildred lives in Oregon with her partner and two cats. When she's not commandeering the corner of the neighborhood coffee shop on hours on end (it's okay, she's on a first-name basis with the baristas) she's probably parked on the couch watching Bob's Burgers or screaming at a Zelda game. (Seriously, Link, why don't you move right?)

As Mercy’s journey continues she can’t seem to slow down. Enter Sloth to show her some eye opening revelations through her dreams. These books keep getting better and hotter. I think I’m going to melt right into my bed.

Each book in this series gets better and better!
These ethereal beings sent by Acedia to Mercy all come with valuable lessons. In Sloth, Mercy is reminded of the need to take the time to rest as she is also taken on trip down memory lane to her youth and given insight on her relationships with others such as her mom, friends, and her ex. She also encounters another run-in with Acedia's sister.

Sloth!
It's an interesting concept that sloth can tame lust and greed, but that's the basis for this book in the "Sins of Mercy" series. I can't wait to see how the rest of the deadly sins play out in these books.

The healing continues
The healing continues as Mercy is visited by Sloth & she learns that taking the time to stop is a facet just as significant & crucial to her well-being & happiness as lust & avarice are.
