After two bad dates, can Emily overlook the flaws and ask Ryan for help?
Abby and Chase leave for a sudden getaway, putting Emily in charge of the seaside Inn. Always ready for a challenge, Emily dives in. But after a power outtage and guest complaints, she wonders if she should call someone for help. Ryan's number is an emergency contact, but she's determined not to call him. She's seen how self absorbed he can be.
After a phone call from the beautiful Emily, Ryan's hoping to get through the repairs as quickly as possible. It's clear she's labeled him as the spoiled, rich-boy type. But as they spend more time together, he's curious what else might be going on. Something painful is hiding behind her wide eyes, and he finds himself anxious to help.
By the time Emily realizes she's completely misjudged Ryan, it may be too late. Someone is sabbotaging the Inn, and their intentions run deeper than she could have imagined.
I enjoyed this second in series which featured Emily and Ryan, Abby's bestie and a guy Emily hadn't really gotten along with as a date. But when weird stuff started happening and everything at the inn was going wonky at once, Emily resorted to calling Ryan. It was cute how they actually learned more about each other and how they felt by working together and sleuthing than they did by dating.
I had my suspicions around the first part of the book and actually I guessed the why as well. There wasn't a murder but there was plenty of good sleuthing going on and an even that could've gone much worse. But in the end, Emily and Ryan working together did a good job taking care of Abby and Chase's inn while they were gone. I'm pretty sure Emily might just come up with an excuse if she gets asked to inn-sit again! (Although now that she and Ryan are getting along much better, who knows?)
The book description acted like there was an extra book included but it's really just a one-chapter preview of book 3 which doesn't even appear to be for sale at the moment.
The Traitor at Poppyridge Cove(Seaside Inn Cozy Mystery #2)— Author: Rimmy London/Narrator: Angelina Rocco (12 chapters) May 2-3, 2023
This next book in the series is short and follows the friends of Abby and Chase: Emily and Ryan. Abby asks Emily to take charge of the inn while she and Chase escape to a getaway to relax before their baby is born. While Emily still has some lingering doubts about Ryan, a mystery involving stolen items from guests and mysterious incidents leads the two to become closer and realize there maybe be more to each other’s distrust.
The main plot is to solve what is going on in the inn, while the romance takes a secondary role.
This was an enjoyable read for me. It had enough suspense to keep me reading to find out who was behind all the mishaps at the inn, and to see if Emily and Ryan would ever get past all the misunderstandings to find a happy ending. They were both pretty likable characters, but I felt Emily was bad about jumping to conclusions too fast and misjudging Ryan’s intentions, and to me it detracted somewhat from her likability when she was mean to him. Ms. London did a good job of building the tension between them, as well as all the other characters, up until the satisfying conclusion. I received a copy of this book from the author through BookSprout, and I’m giving my voluntary and honest opinion.
Chase and Abby the owner’s of the Inn are going out of town. So, they ask their friend Emily to come look after the place. The first night things start happening, no electricity and a stopped up toilet. So Emily calls Ryan to come fix things. Then things start disappearing and Emily feels terrible.
Good storyline, easy read that goes fast because you have to keep reading to find out what will happen next. Mystery at it’s best. Love the Poppyridge Cove books.
I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review.
This is the first book I have ready by Rimmy London. And I am happy to say that I was not disappointed. The author delivered on a wonderful mystery inside the walls of a quaint inn. I also enjoyed the back and forth between Ryan and Emily. It had my hoping for a HEA for them. I will definitely be picking up the other books in this series.

This book has all the same issues as the first, i.e. it's not cozy mystery. It's mostly badly written FTB romance, and it's in *desperate* need of an editor. An additional red flag - the book's 115 pages and the author's note at the front says that this was two "books" that she combined into one. This is straight novella territory. It's just not good. I told the person who bought this for me to stop buying me books in this series.
I enjoyed reading this story which is easy to follow and with some funny parts. There is action and there is crime but all of it contained within the inn. The next books in the series just keep on bringing more interesting stories. I´ll keep on reading.

This was a great second story about the Inn at Poppyridge Cove. The main characters were different, but that is because the originals were on a trip. Emily, Abigail's friend agreed to take care of the inn while Abigail and Chance went on a trip. The characters were quite interesting and some were not what they seemed, so it was an exciting and active story. I definitely recommend this book.
A great book filled with another blossoming romance, A series of thefts to be figured out, A forest fire, another series of strange occurrences at the Poppyridge Inn. Wonderful main characters who are well developed and get more so with each book in the series begging me to continue reading their story to find out what happens to them. Emily, Chase, Abagail and Ryan along with a lovable Labrador.
Very cute and bite-sized. This one felt more rushed than the first one, though. Which makes sense because it’s noticeably shorter. But I was disappointed by the typos and lack of depth to Emily and Ryan’s relationship. I think they deserved more thorough conversations, even though their story is darling.
Still, I enjoyed it and will probably continue binging the rest of this series.
Emily is temporarily managing the Poppyridge Cove Inn while her friends are on vacation. It should be a simple, restful interlude but from the first day problems abound. How can so many things happen so quickly? Is it random or is someone responsible?
This is a short cozy read. The plot moves quick but includes mystery, romance, and drama.
Cozy easy little read *Real live, Mystery, Romantasy *Spice 1 of 5
The inn is up and running. What did disappoint me a bit is there are not a lot of description of the building itself, but that is completely a thing only for me as I love architecture and reno projects. I did not like the main character she was very judgemental and it was completely on her the guy did nothing to deserve that.
A sweet, whirlwind mystery and romance. I breezed through it without putting it down. I enjoyed revisiting characters from the beginning of the last book. I’m curious to see what will come next.

Inns are a wonderful way to make acquaintance with other guests. But some strange things are happening at Poppy ridge that causes everyone to look closer. Do enjoy this clever mystery!
I loved all the twits and turns, I had some figured out but it was entertaining too see how the author got to the conclusion. An easy read but worth reading, looking forward to the next book.
Excellent transition from book 1 to book 2! Again, a great storyline with clever characters and a few twists added to the suspense. No graphic language or behavior to read about. Pure cozy!
Ok so I decided to try another because I did like the cozy feel. Just know that these feel a tad juvenile in the relationships and it’s a cozy read without a lot of depth. This seemed more like a spin off novella.
A sequel to the last one, that did not disappoint! A bit trope-ish, but with enough differences from the first to make it not feel like too much more of the same. Looking forward to reading the rest of this series sometime!
You can't beat the setting as far as comfy mysteries go! Initially, I didn't think I would enjoy an entire story involving Emily and Ryan. However, I really came to enjoy this couple and the storyline.
I loved all the books. Enjoyed. The energy of the Character & setting, you felt like you were right There with them. New author for me. I read them one right After the other. Keep writing & I’ll keep reading. Stay safe and well. Linda
