Good Girl Kenzie Sutton just had her boring life turned completely upside down. When her best friend, Taylor, becomes a woman on the run, Kenzie steps in and helps her go into hiding. She has no clue what she’s gotten herself into, but she’s about to find out. When Taylor’s “foolproof” plan backfires, Kenzie find herself running straight into the path of the Garrison brothers. She’s no match for the bounty hunters, and she’s left with two choices. Give up her friend’s location or stay with them until they find her. Her fierce loyalty to her best friend lands her under the watchful eye and protection of the tall, charming, and irresistibly sexy Bogs Garrison. Not a bad place to be under different circumstances. Being this close to him will definitely be a test on her self-control. Technical genius and resident funny guy, Bogs has a life that most men wish they had. An undeniable flirt and charmer, he’s never lacked for a woman’s company. While he’s watched his brothers find love, he’s always been completely content with his role as last man standing amongst the Garrison brothers. Until he set his sights on the green-eyed beauty currently tangled up in her best friend’s dangerous mess. She’s managed to do the impossible and has him rethinking his bachelor status. The last single guy standing is about to fall hard and fast. Undeniable chemistry and a deep connection find Bogs and Kenzie falling fast and deep for one another. The more time he spends with her, the clearer his future becomes with her. But everyone has a past, and when Kenzie’s past collides with Bogs’ present, he may just lose the one thing he didn’t even know he needed.
Amelia Shea writes contemporary romance. She released her debut novel in 2015, and has followed her passion for series romance ever since. Her writing style includes a little sweet, a little sassy and lots of steam. She loves building stories with settings that become comfortable and familiar, and developing characters who feel real, and though they may be flawed, they learn and grow, and finally deserve a happy ending. When she is not writing, she is obsessed with reading (all genres although she does has a soft spot for romance), coffee (it's more of an addiction but she prefers obsession) and perfecting her "y'all" (just a northern girl living in the south).
Kenzie Sutton was the good girl to her best friends bad girl. Constantly getting into trouble with her friend when she is pulled into scheme to help her out. When she meets Bogs Garrison with his brothers, comes looking for her friend Taylor, Kenzie tries to talk Taylor into turning herself over. Instead she gets pulled into another scheme that ends up putting Kenzie in the direct path of danger. Now Bogs is protecting Kenzie while trying to ignore the chemistry between them, but it is becoming impossible to ignore. What happens when Kenzie is safe to walk away?
I liked this one, not my favorite in the series but it was still well done. While the other brothers are a bit more broody, Bogs is more the jokester in the group. Kenzie could use some common sense and I did not quite get the loyalty to Taylor, it is explained but they were so completely opposite of one another it did not click for me. Otherwise another entertaining story.
Oh my gosh, Bogs is funny, flirty, and fantastic. He is too much but in a good way. He is respectful even in his humorous manners against his family members. Mackenzie is so naive and sweet that it is almost heartbreaking some of the things that she does to help her BFF Taylor. I have to say Taylor seems like a jerk, she doesn’t really listen to Kenzie when she is trying to help her get out it trouble. Poor Trent, you have some serious patience with Taylor. I am enjoying this series. Each book is good as a stand-alone but read from the beginning to get the full experience from this wonderful family put together by Darla and John Garrison. There is a grandchild on the way! I am ready for Roxanne’s book now or at least more books with these characters. Read On!
This was a good story. Bogs and Kenzie's HEA wasn't easy to reach. But the road to their happy ending was worth it. What would you do If you had a choice to be a vigilante? Could you live with the out come? Read to see what Kenzie's chose. Did she get even with the man who killed her mom?
Steal from a gangster. Worse yet. Get your best friend to help. Taylor is a lunatic and she's dragging Kenzie down with her. Luckily, that plan got Kenzie rescued and Taylor on the run. Bogs rescued Kenzie, and the rest is just awesome. It's hilarious and super amazing. 5 stars and totally recommendable.
