“It’s like you get me, or you don't care that I’m different.”

🔸Synopsis: 🔸
As a means of intervention to help her grow up, Summer’s parents ship her off to Texas to spend a few weeks with Papa Sawyer and work as a maid for Hayden at the Wild Hearts Ranch.

- ”The kid needs a good dose of discipline and an extra helpin’ of good ole Texan country life.”

Even though they are from opposite planets, Summer and Hayden can’t stop the sparks from consuming them.

🔸Overview:🔸
- Trigger warning: none
- Setting: Heartville, TX
- POV: Dual POV
- Tropes: boss/employee, opposites attract, insta love

- Who is the Hero? Hayden (30), Rancher. His brother is off doing the rodeo circuit so it’s just Hayden and his dad running Wild Hearts Ranch
* The following words/phrases were used to describe Hero: practical, bossy, protective, intense, sexy

- Who is the Heroine? Summer (23). From Northern Ireland. She completed college, has a trust fund and has no desire to do anything other than have fun
* The following words/phrases were used to describe Heroine: wild child, spoiled brat, stylish and primped like a Barbie doll, uptight, moody,, carefree, dainty, sensual, stunning

- h virgin? No
- First time they kiss: 43%
- First time they sleep together: 79%
- First time they say I Love You 94%
- steamy? Yes
- OW/OM drama? No
- H/h cheat? No
- Time apart? a week
- Did I skip pages? No
- Big secrets? No
- Did I cry? No
- Did I laugh? No
- Did I swoon 🥰? Not really. Hayden is a good guy, but I didn't swoon
- Cliffhanger? No
- HEA? Yes
- Epilogue? Yes.
- Recommend? it was ok. Pretty short.

📚 The following are my thoughts about this book:
- My first impression of Summer wasn't good. These two quotes made me dislike her. She needed to grow the f up.

- "After university, I sort of decided that fun was better than responsibility. Let’s face it, I’ve been in school for the majority of my life. Now my parents want me to jump straight into a job with an unflattering ball and chain called early starts and long hours. With schedules. Meetings. People telling me what to do. Blah, blah. Hashtag boring."
- "When I turned twenty-one, a few years ago, the first payment of my trust fund kicked in. Cha-ching. Who needs a nine to five mundane routine when there’s plenty of pound signs stacked up?"

- On the first weekend in Texas, Summer realized that her previous pampered life was unfulfilled. Really??? I didn't by it. How can someone who thought a certain way for 23 years change their whole focus in a matter of days. It just didn’t seem authentic to the character that was established at the beginning of the story.

- ”Being with Sawyer is refreshing. It’s made me see my life at home for what it is -shallow and unfulfilled. Where’s my drive to succeed, or my will to better myself when all I do is plan my next outfit?”

- insta love is not my favorite trope. I didn’t really feel the connection with Hayden and Summer

🔸Quotes🔸
“I haven’t had sex in over two months, and my balls are heavier than the prize bull at the rodeo.”

“You listen here, Hayden Taylor. Keep your brains in your head and your dick behind your zipper.”

“There has to be a connection -there has to be passion, love and attraction. Killer attraction like a bull on breeding day.”

“Surely there has to be more to Summer Brady than parties and selfies.”

“The guy went out of his way to find me dairy free alternatives… If he asks me to marry him, I’ll say yes.”

“Her smile feels better than the first cold beer after a long day in the sun. “

So many stars, I just kept clicking, but still only 5 stars...so, I want to go on record as saying this is officially a shit ton of stars. I know, I know the Zon ain’t gonna like that...pfft. I’ll fluff the wording later. Damn did I love these two, both of them so much. Normally I may favor one a bit more, but I loved both of these characters. She with her quirky sweetness and him being so thoughtful and sweet. He was definitely swoon worthy for sure. She’s a rich party girl from Ireland, and her mom sends her to Texas to help on a ranch. Summer had me laughing so hard...especially in the beginning, oh and her trying to bake cookies. Funniest thing, I just couldn’t get enough. Laughed so hard, probably scared my co-workers at lunch...yes, I found it that funny. And yes, the authors already know...cause, you know I’m “subtle” (like a Mack truck). Sometimes when people are meant to be together, you just feel it, and these two were totally meant to be together, right from the first meeting. No matter how different their backgrounds are.

Safe read. There was a little pushing away, because she wasn’t from there, but it made for a great storyline, because don’t we all love when someone loses their control...woo hoo, makes for some serious heat. This book had it all, it was funny, happy, sweet, sad, hot and everything in between. Sweet, quirky female with her equally sweet OTT alpha. Epilogue and an hea. I can’t wait to read more of this series. Did I ask one of the authors when the next book would be out? I totally did, because I am subtle like that.

Wild Heart by Autumn Archer and Britney Bell was a genuinely tender, sweet story of Summer and Hayden. He’s a country boy….she’s a city girl, and a little immature. Somehow they have to make this work??? Lovely story of unexpected romance!!!!

She’s city, he’s country.
She’s spoiled, lazy and a little bit lost.
He’s complicated, hardworking and a smidge gun shy.

Summer is an Irish princess, living off of her trust fund, shopping and partying, the extent of her commitments. Having disappointed her parents one time to many times, she is sent to America to live on her uncle’s ranch.

Hayden is a rancher. Tasked with an enormous amount of responsibility , he dedicates his time to his work. Women come and go and for now all he wants is for things to stay the same.

Summer and Hayden are polar opposites but when they’re thrown together their chemistry is off the charts and even though they try, resistance is futile. Their happily ever after, is not easy but it is sexy and sweet.

TBR and enjoy. (I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.)

Even though I've read both of these authors before, I didn't know what to expect from "Wild Heart". I was pretty sure that I was going to enjoy it but was completely caught of guards by all the feelings it invoked in me.

I love me a country man and Hayden is the epitome of one - his every trait from the perfect gentleman, the right amount of rough around the edges and the hotness overload. It's all there.

Every single character in this story draws you in; they are worthy of their own book and I'm totaly down with that idea. I want to know everything there is to know about Papa Saywer, get a sneak peek of Hank and Verlyne's relationship, witness Ellie's new life in Heartsville and get to know all of Hayden's friends - up-close and personal. 😈😍😁

Summer's journey was a pleasure to watch unfold and it left me wanting to move to a small town and leave the rest behind. Maybe I'd find my own Hayden, who knows?

"Wild Heart" is a beautiful, sweet, sexy, heartwarming love story of two people who fight against it because they assume it's the right thing to do, since Summer's stay is suposed to be temporary... right?
This could only end in heartache, no?

You will find yourself cheering for Summer on her new adventures and smiling like a goof at the interactions between her and all the other characters: Papa Sawyer definitely has a special place in my heart.

I'm dying to return to Heartsville and read the next books in this series.

Fell head over heels for this book , and the characters in it .
The lead characters, Summer and Hayden weren't looking for love , but once they see each other it's game over .
This is such an amazing love story .
Get ready for spoilt sassy girl from Northern Ireland, and the hot, alpha Rancher from Texas , their story will knock your socks off

Cute, fun and sexy read for fans of small town romance. Wild Heart is a beautiful story about two people from completely different worlds. She’s a spoiled, never-working girl from a big city. He’s a hard working rancher in a small town in Tx.
When they met something just... clicked. Their chemistry was off charts. Feelings began to grow... They tried to fight it because they both knew Summer was only in town temporarily. But every moment they spent together was getting closer and closer to each other.
Time was running out. Summer had to go back to her life in big city, Hayden had to stay on the ranch.
Did they find a compromise? Did completely different people manage to build a lasting relationship?
If so, at what cost?
Check out this amazing book to find out.

Hayden Taylor and Summer Brady…..

The first thing I need to express is my adoration for Hayden. Not only was he hard-working, sexy, intense and intimidating cowboy, Hayden was a gentleman. He was considerate and so sweet when it came to Summer.

The blurb for this book gives us a very good depiction of the premise. A city girl from Ireland, Summer, is sent to Texas to live with her mother‘s uncle for a couple of months. Her mother has gotten sick and tired of Summer always partying and being irresponsible. Summer is basically living a shallow, self-centered life and all she cares about is when and where the next party will be. Of course, she is not happy to be sent all the way to Texas from Ireland; it is a punishment she feels she does not deserve. I have to tell you after reading this book I completely agree with Summer’ mother. Summer did need this to find perspective and maybe learn to be a less self-centered and grow in maturity.

Hayden works hard for a living on his family’s ranch with his dad. It is a life he loves, a life that gives him satisfaction and contentment. I enjoyed the setting of the ranch and the dynamic between Hayden and his dad as well as the dynamic between Hayden and his friends. There was plenty of wit and banter between the characters in this book which brought more enjoyment to my reading. I have to say it again…I loved Hayden.

While some aspects of the story are predictable I still enjoyed it and I am looking forward to the next book in the series, which will feature one of Hayden‘s friends and I suspect Summer’s friend who comes to Texas for a visit.

The one small disappointment I had with this story is that I felt Summer was very immature. Even when her character developed into a better person I still felt like she was too young for Hayden. That could just be my feelings and you should read this story to decide that on your own. Also, In the beginning chapters Summer was hard to like. Besides her beauty, I couldn’t understand what Hayden saw in her. But as each day went on their relationship grew and developed into strong feelings for each other.

The authors did a good job with giving me an enjoyable story and a new book boyfriend. By the end of the book I grew to like Summer’s character and I was happy with the way things turned out. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

This is my unbiased and honest review. Thank you for taking the time to read it.

Received ARC from Author for Honest Review.
I Give this Book a 3.5/5 Star Rating, Listing as 3.

HEA(?): Yes!
Romance: 3.5/5
Heat: 3/5
Drama: 2.5/5
Suspense: 2.5/5

This was a fast paced read and rather on the short side, it is a palate cleanser between heavy reads. Though I must say the pacing might’ve dulled the believability between Hayden & Summer.
I feel like the growth & persona change for Summer was a bit too fast for me, the transition was to quick so it felt like there was 2 Summer’s rather than 1.
I didn’t get the ranch life feel like I was expecting, it wasn’t up front, it’s more like a blurry/non focused background on ranch life.

I do look forward to reading Elli’s Book & Shane’s Book!

Dear Autumn.

I cannot express in words how much I really really loved this book. I could not stop reading. The characters are awesome and although they come from different cultures they still made it. The way the words are expressed it makes you feel all the emotions as if they are real. Can't wait to read the second book.

Wow. I absolutely loved this book! The only thing that could have made it better was having an Irish accent to read Summer’s voice in. When this is made into an audiobook you had better believe I will be listening! Summer is a snobby, entitled, socialite who has never had to work for anything a day in her life. Hayden is a sexy cowboy who isn’t looking for love. These two find fire when Summer is banished to the Texas “wilderness”! Drama, love, family, and an amazing happily ever after is what you will find in this lovely story!

Hot cowboy. Check.
City girl sent to Texas to be taught a lesson. Check.

Cue the chemistry that's undeniable from the first meeting. *sigh*
I swear every time i read a book about cowboys it just makes me fall more and more in love with them. Haydon Taylor owns Wild Heart Ranch in the middle of nowhere, perfect for him not so perfect for someone like Summer Brady, yet that is where she is sent to work by her mother who finally got sick of her partying ways. From their very first meeting you knew it was going to be fun watching Summer grow as a person even if she makes mistakes on the way. As the story goes on Hayden tries to keep his distance from her as he is happy been single, happy doing what he does, not falling in love with someone who is going to be leaving, going back to her life in Ireland. Yet they bond and grow closer as the story goes on.
If I was Summer i would've been the same. Cowboys have something about them that you cant deny. Hayden is like a god of cowboys.
This story is not just a love story, you get to watch Summer realise there is more to the world than getting drunk and partying her life away.
Who says a little bit of hard work is a bad thing?
Now I need more from the Ranch for my cowboy fix.

This was such a good book! I seriously swooned over Hayden and Summer. They were just that right type of insta-love!

description

Summer is a spoiled city girl from Belfast, Ireland and Hayden is a Texan country boy. Can we say opposites attract? Because these two could not be farther apart. Summer prefers to be gluten and dairy free, while Hayden is very confused about the concept of willingly not eating gluten. But Hayden is such a sweetheart, he doesn't judge or make fun of Summer. He embraces that she's unlike any woman he has ever met. If anything it makes her more enticing to him..

Hayden tries to fight his attraction towards Summer because she's only in Texas temporarily. Her mother put her on a flight from Ireland to teach her a lesson. Apparently Summer wasn't taking her life too seriously with all the partying with her best friend, Ellie and shopping constantly.

So, Summer moves in with "papa" Sawyer, who is her mother's father's brother? Something confusing like that. But Sawyer is such an endearing old grouch; he'll warm your heart..

description

Hayden and Summer have this instant attraction towards each other. Summer is all for it, but Hayden fights it because he knows she'll eventually leave. Hayden knows it would never just be a fling between them.. I love how in tuned with his own feelings Hayden was. He knew what he wanted and wouldn't settle for less. LOVE THAT .

Love all the secondary characters, can't wait to see more of them!

Super curious about Clay...

Ellie && Shane??

All in all, I loved this book. Binged it within a day. I look forward to reading the rest of the series!

Wild Hearts..... ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I want a sexy rancher too stars. A small town sweet contemporary romance that gives you the feels. What does your mother do when she has had enough of your jobless, lazy and partying ways? For Irish I live and party off my trust fund Summer she ships you across the ocean to a small town in Texas to live with an old grumpy relative to learn some important life lessons. One thing is for sure Summer was not expecting was to meet sexy rancher Hayden Taylor. Hayden, with no luck in the love department is happily single. Until Summer who slams into his life with her tight jeans, gorgeous hair, and sexy accent sparks a temptation and longing Hayden has never felt before. While sparks and desire fly both Hayden and Summer are fighting with their heart and heads knowing they are on a timeline with Summer having to return to Ireland. Home is where the heart is..... The question is where does Summers heart belong in Northern Ireland or Heartville Texas? Small Town Romance ✔️ Sexy Alpha Rancher ✔️ Sassy but sweet heroine ✔️ Cute Puppy ✔️ Angst ✔️Grumpy but sweet relative ✔️ LOL friends ✔️HEA ✔️❤️.. And.... Bring on Book 2 of the series Fake Heart about the sexy workaholic vet Clay Walker.

OMG. I absolutely devoured and loved this book but let's start with the begin of the story. It kinda reminds me of King Thrushbeard (by brothers Grimm) not really about to marry someone but for the spoiled one to be teached a lesson, just in a modern time.

First when I started I was like WTH is wrong with this spoiled brat. Yes, I am talking about the main heroine Summer. But the more you get nto the story those layers of "not living in the real world" fall away and she quite blossoms from shallow brat only made for partying to one real hard worker. From the very first moment Hayden is smitten by her beauty and has all kinds of reactions to her. But she becomes his cleaning lady and he needs to stay away of her.

The attraction is undeniable so they kinda get into explosively smoking hot and temporary arrangement until her departure. Although without even knowing they slowly fall in love with one another.

But the arrangement is just temporary and Summer needs to go back home and he doesn't want to keep her away from her family and friends.

How will Summer decide? Will Hayden hold her selfishly back just for himself?

Find out for yourself. I loved every second of this book and can't wait for the next book about one of Hayden's buddies...the hot vet Clay.

«Northern Irish Glam Summer mets Texan Cowboy Hayden and two different worlds collide in the best way ever»
This was a refreshing, super funny, quirky and sexy story that I couldn’t put down ( literally I finished in one sitting ~ it was that good)
Summer is a spoiled girl that doesn’t care for responsibilities and parties too much. Her mother decides to teach her a lesson by sending her all the way across the globe to good old Texas with her uncle. This is where she mets her new sexy and handsome rancher boss Hayden.
Neither of them is looking for a relationship, specially because Summer is leaving back home in a few weeks but their attraction is too strong to avoid and when these two give in ; prepare yourself because is HOT, HOT, HOT .
I’m totally swoon by Hayden, his personality, he is so sweet and thoughtful, he is the total package.
I also love how summer grows as a person and takes notice of what really is worth in life.
So I definitely recommend reading this book and finding out this incredible love journey that will leave you wanting more.

What a deliciously light hearted romantic romp under the blue Texas sky.
Irish Party girl Summer has been banished by her mother to the Texan outback, to live with an ageing grumpy relative and learn the merit of having to work for a living... something her mother actually knows nothing about, but still feels Summer would benefit from the lesson!!
No one could have predicted that the biggest learning curve of all... that of love and forever is heading Summers way.
Hayden Taylor is a successful, handsome catch. Running his family ranch is all he wants to do..... finished with the dramas of local women and their consistent attempts to capture his heart. However, he is totally unprepared for the Irish tornado that sweeps into his life and knocks him off balance.
Has Hayden got a chance with Summer or will she return to Ireland without letting him capture her wild heart? Does Summer have the courage to leap and confess all to her jaded, handsome rancher?
This is fun, light hearted and kept me enthralled throughout.... a couple of little timeline issues but nothing to take away my enjoyment of these two characters...
some other interesting characters lined up and waiting to tell their stories also....
I received an arc from the authors and I am choosing to leave my review😊

My little cowgirl heart was just over the moon for this book!
These two ladies wrote a very good cowboy love story.

I will admit that Summer had me worried there in the beginning but when she made cookies for the first time, she just warmed my heart. I ended up loving her so much. To see how much she changed and grew as a young lady, I was very pleased with. I knew Hayden and even Papa Swayer took some of that credit but she did so much of it on her own.

I loved how much Hayden wore his heart on his sleeve, well for the most part lol. How he was so taken with Summer right away but was a true gentleman and tried his best to not act on it. But the connection they had was just too strong.

But was it strong enough? Pick this book up today and find out! You won’t be disappointed. If you love cowboy romance as much as I do, then you most DEFINITELY need this book!!

This is book one in the My True Heart series. Meet Summer, she is a city gal that has driven her Mom to the breaking point. It is time for Summer to figure out her life. She finds herself a job on the Wild Heart Ranch as a housekeeper. Hayden is the country boy, he lives and works on his family's ranch and he is happy to be single, for.now. that is until the new housekeeper his father hired arrives. Can the city girl and the country boy find their happiness and true love? I was captivated by this fast paced story and I immediately fell in love with the characters. I cannot wait to see how this series progresses. Enjoy!

Hayden and Summer give us a short but sweet story. Plan for a polar opposites attract read. Summer is not only Irish but she is rich city girl. Hayden is Texan and a good old country boy that has worked hard for everything he has.

Summer is banished to the states to go stay with her uncle due to bad behavior. You definitely see some entitlement and bratty attitude. She begrudgingly has to pay for her own keep by taking on some house cleaning.

Enter Hayden. He meets Summer when she starts cleaning for them. I don’t want to give much more of the storyline away, other than to say these two take us on a bit of a turbulent ride at the beginning.

It becomes even more interesting when Hayden and Summer start spicing up the page. Wink.

Overall this is a good read. I felt it was deserving of 3.5 stats due to a few inconsistencies in the story. Even with that in mind, all I can say is I enjoyed this book.

Happy Reading! XOXO
