I will never return to Treasure Island, but in my worst dreams I still hear the sharp, high scream of Captain Flint the parrot: ' Pieces of eight! Pieces of eight! '

This Oxford Bookworms version of Treasure Island is a super cool adventure story, perfect for younger readers or those learning English. It totally nails the classic themes of bravery, tricky morals, and hunting for treasure. Even though it's simpler, it keeps all the suspense and thrill of Robert Louis Stevenson's original, with awesome characters like Jim Hawkins and that unforgettable, complicated bad guy, Long John Silver. The writing is clear, easy to follow, and really pulls you in, making you feel like you're on those sea voyages and Caribbean islands without losing any of the plot's big surprises. Seriously, if you want a quick, solid intro to this timeless pirate and treasure tale, this one's a winner.

I was more excited than expected, although it was edited shorter and easier for people like me.
I haven't read the original version, yet. But I want to read it as soon as possible when I become familiar with English Reading.

I can't recommend this book because I haven't really understood it or maybe it was the fact that I did not feel drawn towards the topic itself.

I don't know if it is possible to describe this book by other word than catastrophic. There are some slightly morbid parts so I wouldn't recommend it to children under 8 years old. But the story is just so childish, therefor I wouldn't recommend it to anyone older than 8 either. The writing style is too simple even for the Stage 4.
The characters are pretty simply divided into two groups. The good guys and the bad guys. Again: too simple. Every character here is just white and black and every attempt for variety is killed at the very beginning of it.
All the plot twists that were supposed to be surprising weren't. WHAT A SURPRISE!!!
So here I am thinking: does this book really deserve that one star I gave to it???

1.oxford, level 4
2. 1/9=60 mins. 1/13=30mins.
3. Jim Hawkins, inn, seaman, captain, black spot, Dr. Livesey, Bristol
4. a: I remember so clearly the day when the old seaman came to stay.
b: The day when something start is a special day. Also, I think most that day's feeling is really fun and exciting.
5. I am really interested in a treasure because I think it is not gold or jewelry. I have not finished to read and I stopped reading the scene which started to travel. However, actually I do not understand creaky about human relations of this story, so I am going to read again from beginning the story.

I found this little book forgotten in a box room in the building where I work and it's perfect to improve my English. It's an adaptation of the classical novel by Robert Louis Stevenson that I read translated into Spanish when I was a child. I think that the previous reading and to have watched film adaptations helped me to understand it better than I thought, or perhaps the level it's a little lower than I really have. Three stars because it's a good adaptation, although it loses its personality.

This book a smaller of the original book. However, it was a read I didn't realise the book came to the end.it such an easy read I enjoyed the of the book very much. There were many occasions I got in the book. The only thing I not like the fast ending, I would like to know more about the characters after coming back.
