Claire Collin, a powerful witch with telepathic abilities, has a huge problem - actually thousands of them. She can’t block the voices she hears in her head. Forced to move away from her family and friends in Roswell, New Mexico to a remote cabin in the Colorado Rockies, she finds a measure of peace in the solitude. That solitude is shattered when she witnesses a super sexy wolf shifter being pursued and almost killed in her backyard.
Finn O’Reilly seeks revenge against the men who hunt his endangered pack and kills them for their pelts. On the run after being injured in a hidden trap, his efforts to stay one step ahead of the killers ends when the men in pursuit catch up with him in a Colorado mountain meadow. Certain he is about to meet a fate similar to others of his kind, Finn is shocked when he wakes in a remote cabin under the care of a very unusual witch.
Claire soon discovers the threat is not only to Finn’s pack but also to the paranormal residents of Roswell. Claire and Finn must work together if they are going to protect the ones they love from the dangers that threaten them. Can they save everyone without losing each other, or will the voices finally drive Claire to insanity?
This is the first book I have read by T.J. Finn, but definitely not my last.
Claire Collin is a woman of many talents. She is a witch extraordinaire and possesses the ability to read the thoughts of everyone she encounters. It is a blessing, but also a burden. She moved away from her home town to escape these voices so she can have some semblance of peace in her life. All is good in her little world until she witnesses a wolf shifter being pursued by poachers after his pelt. Clair manages to fend the men off and takes the wolf home to tend to his wounds.
Finn O'Riley is a wolf shifter who is on a mission to avenge those who are a danger to his pack and his family and friends. When Finn meets Claire the feeling is electric and mutual. Clair and Finn team up to track down the man who is the threat to wipe out everything they hold dear to them.
I look forward to reading more of T.J. books in the future.
While the story itself kept me turning the pages, I was frustrated with the amount of typos and other various issues a good editor and a few good beta readers might have taken care of. Luckily, this being an eBook, the author can address the issue and update the book.
Being a new author, I hope to see improvement and growth in her future works. I liked the story enough to give the author another shot.
This was a very entertaining story about a witch and a wolf-shifter who meet and find they are meant for each other. The witch, Claire, has the power to hear others’ thoughts. She purposely lives out in the wilderness where there are no people nearby because she cannot block the thoughts of other folks around her. She always feels mentally overwhelmed by the intrusion. The wolf shifter, Finn, is being hunted by some horrifically evil men who want his wolf’s fur. They can only get their hands on it by killing him. When the two meet, Claire is pleasantly surprised to find she cannot “hear” Finn’s thoughts. She’s never had that happen with anyone else and being around Finn is peaceful for her. Together Finn and Claire search for the evil hunters and, with the help of her loving family and friends in Magic, NM, they manage to foil their opponents' plans. In between the action, Claire and Finn grow closer, sharing a number of very steamy romantic encounters. The book ends in a “Happy for now,” and has a teeny bit of a cliffhanger. I like when authors include humor in their stories, and this book has some quirky funny scenes. Claire has a humorous relationship with her car, a Jeep, that I found funny. The book had just enough sexy-times, and action. The characters were endearing, and I would definitely read another book about them that continued or concluded their story. My only complaint was that it was too short!

This is the first book I’ve read from this particular author and I can say that I’ll be reading more of her other works. The book was easy to read and an enjoyable story. It’s a story about power, greed, intrigue, action, and the love and help of family. It also an HEA as well. You’ll get some laughs as your reading this story about a powerful telepathic witch in hiding and an alpha fox with a rare silver fur coat.
Clair Collins decides to help Finn O’Riley to track down the evil stalking his pack and to stop the killing. Clair has to face not only the thousands of voices in her head she also has to match her incredible powers against evil personified. Finn tries to protect Clair while she’s just as determined to protect him.
Will either of their plans work? Clair has to find a way to face and overcome her weaknesses to help Finn. Will she succeed? Finn has many responsibilities he must shoulder, can he do it? What other challenges will the two face? Who and how will others support and aid these two new lovers in their fight? There are numerous surprises in store for the two on their journey. You should join along with them as they fight evil and find love together.
This book was a quick fun read for me. There isn’t really a lot that I can talk about without giving away the entire book, but I will definitely do my best. As a character I really enjoyed Claire. She lives isolated in the middle of nowhere because she can’t control hearing other people’s thoughts because she is a telepath. So one day in the middle of nowhere when she is taking photos of nature, she finds herself a wolf who is being chased so they can skin him. So basically horrible people/poachers if you will, but poachers of shifters. Finn is the shifter that Claire rescues. They basically spend a few days stuck in her cabin while they plan on how to take on this new threat to shifters everywhere. Finn was likable, Claire was very self-sufficient. I liked how magic was used in this book, and there were plenty of amusing moments in her. For me I felt like this book works as a good palate cleanser, and enjoyable read, short and sweet, with a satisfying end.
Fated mates gone wrong. FMC is a telepath who can hear everyone’s thoughts but the MMC’s, which she thinks is great, but as we know from Twilight, just because you can’t hear a person’s inane thoughts doesn’t mean they’re not having them, and it does not make a good basis for a serious relationship. After two days locked in a cabin in the woods, they go out to catch the bad guys with get telepathy, but FMC decides to trick the MMC into leaving for 10 seconds so that she can go alone and get kidnapped. Luckily he’s right behind her so he just follows her all the way there, and with the remarkable plan of walking up to the front door unarmed, which works 100% of the time so long as you are the main character with plot armor up the wazoo. Only the bad guy gets away due to being a lvl 100 teleportation mage and I guess they’re saving his defeat for book 2. After all, the FMC has sisters and the MMC has brothers, so we all know where this is going…
Claire is a telepathic witch who's happy to mind her own business in the woods. Then she stumbles upon two hunters chasing down a man with plans to make him change into a wolf and skin him for his pelt. Some quick spellwork helps Claire shield the shifter, Finn, from sight and get him back safely to her cabin. With a snowstorm looming, the two have no choice but to depend on each other. But once the skies clear, will there be anything keeping the two together?
This is the author's first published book and that's super exciting. I totally commend them for this accomplishment! It was great to read about a witch with serious abilities who had fun using them. The villain came across as a legitimate threat and it's no wonder that Finn takes his mission to get rid of the guy so seriously. The only thing that didn't quite work for me was Claire's control over her magic. She was such a show of force during the first half of the story, but that didn't come across quite so much during the second half. That being said, I still look forward to what comes next in the series.

What a fantastic debut book! This book fell right in line with the rest of the series from Magic, New Mexico. The author did a wonderful job of keeping with the story and feel found in the rest of the Magic books, and yet she managed to bring her own spin to the series. I love how our hero is strong yet has a weakness that only her true mate can overcome. Maybe his mother knew he would need to shield his thoughts when the time came. Whatever the reason, these two are perfect for each other. They may have a long path ahead of them, but they will find their HEA and the magic they are looking for. I look forward to seeing what the author comes up with next.
Love makes some people brave. I liked the concept of the story. The characters were really nice people. Clair is a witch with telepathic abilities. But, she can't shut the voices off, so she leaves her home in Roswell and isolates herself in CO. Finn, is a wolf shifter looking for the hunters decimating his village, his people. Finn and Clair are interested in each other when they meet. They realize Corbin is their enemy. He is a wiley one and will be an excellent opponent. I disliked the lack of logic in Clair and Finn's actions. The story was nice, but fell a bit short for me. I will read the rest of the series to see how the adventure continues and how the rest of the family evolves. I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Claire is a witch with telepathic powers, but her shield is fairly weak, so she lives away from people. One day she overhears two men hunting another for his pelt. Helping him becomes priority and when he is shot, she protects him with her magic. Together they try to stop the gang of people hunting shifters for their pelts. A suspenseful story, laced with a touch of romance. A good mix, an intriguing story with enough action to keep the reader engaged. In short - good entertainment. I have now read several of TJ Finn’s books and I am hooked! I thoroughly enjoy her shifter and witch characters, as well as the intriguing storylines with some unusual twists and turns. I’m hoping this nasty villain (shifter/pelts hunter) is brought down soon. It’s sickening to imagine, even in a fantasy world, that someone could be that despicable. If you’ve not read TJ Finn, I encourage you to try these books to see how you like them.
Yay! Theresa Finn I’m so proud of you for taking a chance and writing your first book!! This book fits right into the Magic, New Mexico vibe and I loved the story of Claire and Finn. Hopefully you enjoyed the experience and will write more books for us!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟
WOW!!!! What else is there to say. This was a really HOT story, and you will be missing out if you do not read it. I could not put it down it was that good!
2.5 maybe 3 stars. It wasn’t very filled out, and was an insta-love thing. Great idea for a story, just wish there had been more to it. The potential was there.
Claire can read thoughts and is a witch she lives alone so she can have some what of a normal life. She witnesses hunters after a wolf's fur and rescues him. She knows he is a shifter.
Finn is after the men that killed his mom and she helps him, he knows she is his mate.
This has your emotions all over the place. Loved the characters. Just wish it had more of the story.

The only reason I’m giving this book a four star rating is because it was to short! I loved the storyline and the concept of the story, I just wanted more of it! I’m hoping against all hope that the way it ended means there’s another book coming with more to the story! I mean there was no wrapping up, there was no kicking the bad guys ass!! LOL I need that as a reader!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Claire could hear others’ thoughts in her mind. She also can use magic because she is a witch. She secluded herself in a cabin to stay away from all the voices. One day, she saw a man running for his life from two other men who wanted to shoot and kill him for his wolf pelt. She ends up saving his life. His name is Flinn and he is out to get the man and his friends for killing his mom and another. They end up following the trail together, and he knows they are mates. She takes off without him after listening to two men…to find their mutual enemy. She finds him…only now he has control of her…what will Finn do? Can he save both of them? The writing started off a bit stilted but improved with time. Unfortunately the story has underdeveloped plots with unexpected resolutions to situations just to move the story forward. A bedtime story told over a week, developing organically with little planning. While such story development is exciting for children, it is jarring to read as an adult.
There were so many times the author could have made the story great but the opportunity was lost or not explored further. A great disappointment as I thought the story had a great premise.

I enjoyed the book and storyline. It flowed well and had very few grammatical errors, which to me is a big plus. I loved the part she made him a small dog lol. BTW Corbin sucks!! All together a well written book 😊

Claire was a telepath witch who lived in the mountains alone. He joy was taking pictures until she ran across Finn being shot. The story from there is so good it brought me to tears several times and lots of laughing. I even had to explain to my grand daughter why I was laughing once. Really great book can’t wait for the next one
