Bright Colored Kitties!!
I enjoyed this series opener from Margo Bond Collins. I mean neon colored alien shifters does sound amazing, right?! These Drovekzians are big cat shifters that come in all colors and types like tigers and cheetahs.
This is the story of Dax and Nora. Dax is a neon green, big cat shifter that has stripes like a tiger. He is so excited that they found compatible females that he jumps straight away into a ship and rushes to Earth to find his genetically matched perfect mate.
Nora is a curvy blonde, that just caught her fiance bumping uglies in the bathroom with his ex, at their wedding. She fleas in her wedding dress and runs right into Dax and craziness ensues.
Nora is wary after what she just went through and is struggling to let go and give Dax a chance, for fear she will be hurt again. Dax struggles to get Nora to understand that she is his mate and there will never be another.
Dax and Nora fight through sabotage, other alien attacks, and cultural differences to find their HEA. There does seem to be a prequel that I wish I had read before this, because at times I did feel there was info I should know, or that I was missing some of the world building. After the sneak peek I do look forward to reading the next one to see what high jinx happen when Braxen goes to retrieve the general's mate.

Despedida de mi trabajo. Echada de mi apartamento. Y arrojada al altar. Todo en la misma semana. Entonces, por supuesto, es entonces cuando un extraterrestre desciende en su nave espacial y me roba.
FML.
Peor aún, es un gigante posesivo y autoritario extraterrestre, con músculos ondulantes y una sonrisa sexy que podría derretir incluso el corazón más endurecido.
Bueno. Tal vez ser secuestrada por un extraterrestre no sea tan malo, después de todo.
Pero todavía necesito llegar a casa y arreglar el desastre de mi vida.

Mí humilde opinión:
La historia de siempre... Una raza alienígena que necesita buscar mujeres compatibles de otros planetas porque sus hembras se volvieron infértiles por alguna guerra con otros aliens.
En este caso la raza es Drovekzian que pueden cambiar a una forma que llaman bestias. Una forma felina que viene en diferentes colores con rayas según el clan (aquí mostraron uno verde). Sus hembras se volvieron infértiles por culpa de la guerra contra sus enemigos los Karlaxons. Entonces envían naves comandadas por drovekzians para encontrar hembras compatibles sino su raza podría extinguirse. Encuentran mujeres en X-320 que resulta ser el planeta tierra.
Allí va nuestro héroe, el comandante Lutro Dax cuando encuentra su pareja compatible pero se sorprende cuando hay dos de ellas en peligro. Solo se lleva a Nora, una novia en fuga.
Me gustó Nora, era un personaje que me hizo reír a veces. La escena del Central Park era ridícula pero divertida.
Lo que me enojó fue que cuando Dax es herido, por salvarla de un Karlaxon que era una especie de rinoceronte mutante que quería matarla, ella piensa que debería estar feliz si Dax muere!? Ese fue un pensamiento de mierda, más aún cuando estaba sintiendo la unión de pareja.
Dax era un guerrero alienígena que se convertía en un tipo de tigre verde con rayas negras, me gustó que fuera comprensible con Nora cuando se dio cuenta que no iba a ser fácil que ella simplemente lo aceptara. Ella lucha contra su conexión y no se irá a su planeta hasta que confíe en él. Era una bestia pero dulce.
Hubo algunos malentendidos menores, algo de humor, acción, peligro y momentos de pasión. Una lectura ligera, aceptable pero no me empuja a leer el siguiente libro de la serie.

So good and loved the humour. I felt for Nora given her life as it was and she needed better in a life partner. I loved Dax, finding his getting to understand human sayings, expressions that confused him. He was great for Nora once she got over her situation. Proving her worth in protecting him and looking after him. Grab the book and you will learn more. It was great that she accepted him and loved that she had a new friend in Lucy, Jalek's mate. :) I can't wait to see who the General finds, god help him! :D

A new world, a new world. I am so excited. The story is excellent. The AI on the ship is hacked and that causes problems. I think the universe is trying to tell her it has something better for her. Very good story and I loved it. I look forward to reading more of them. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This is an entertaining story with Dax and Nora. The author brings drama and intrigue along with all the misunderstandings and adds in the heat and romance ,delivering a great read. It's well written with descriptive scenes ,moves quickly and smoothly and is an enjoyable story.

This was a fun series opener, full of banter, fated mates and yeah, a ton of bad luck for our gal ;) I really enjoyed the miscommunications between them, often leading to hilarious results, their banter and the steam. There is drama and danger to keep things hopping, too. It's a fun read and I can't wait to see how the next book unfolds!

What an impressive short story. Nora has a lot of stuff going on, not really great. Then an Alien kidnapped her Perhaps life will get better now, who knows. Loved it.

Nora was having an astral hell week; everything was a nightmare.
She had lost her job (because, according to her boss, as she was about to marry a rich guy, her job wouldn't make a difference); just before the wedding ceremony, she caught the fiance cheating her on in the bathroom, and her old apartment (she had already moved into groom's house) was rented out to someone else.
Running through Central Park in her wedding dress, she sits on a bench next to a woman - similar to her physically - who is reading a book. The two talk, until a mugger tries to assault them. But since the week was already a nightmare, suddenly, a huge green tiger with black stripes appears.
That's right...
The Drovekzian were a warrior people who were in a desperate situation. The females on the planet had become infertile because of an attack by Karlaxons. So, several scouts were sent to other planets to try to find out if they could find compatible females... or their race would go extinct.
Captain Jalek is the first scout to return with good news. Planet X-320 had compatible females, and he himself was already returning with his mate, Lucy, on board.
Happy with the news, Commander Lutro Dax immediately goes alone to the aforementioned planet, to find the female that had compatible DNA with him, according to Jalek.
When Dax approached the planet, also known as Earth, he noticed the pollution and the mess, thinking that his mate would be happy to get rid of that place.
The coordinates took him to a park, where he sees a male with violent intentions about his mate. Dax immediately becomes the Beast he used to be and gets rid of the mugger.
One of the women managed to escape, but the one Dax wanted most, the one wearing a long white dress, he takes to the ship.
And what should be a fairy tale for Dax, also becomes a nightmare. His mate was not at all docile, but she argued about everything; his ship was sabotaged and they ended up going straight to the Karlaxons' mothership, and finally the ship's computer admits that Nora was not his compatible DNA mate.
How were they going to solve all of this?
A sci-fi rom-com full of references from some of the TV series that you've watched.

Nora is having a bad week. First she is fired from her job due to lay-offs. Then she is kicked out of her apartment. Finallly, she catches her groom in a passionate encounter right before their wedding. Nora runs away and sits on a park bench next to another woman to try to figure out her next step. Her luck gets worse when a mugger pulls a knife on them and a huge green and black tiger like creature jumps on him. The other woman runs away but Nora faints from the encounter. Nora wakes up on board a spaceship and the catlike shifter tries to inject her with something. Noraa freaks out. When Nora wakes again she has been implanted with a translator and the alien is telling her that she is fated to be his mate. Nora doesn't like to have her decisions made for her gives Lutro a hard time until the are force to work together when they are attacked by pirates.
Lutro's people have lost a lot of their females after an attack by enemy aliens. Finding genetic mates on Earth may be their race's final chance of surviving. Lutro goes to Earth to find his match. His computer tells him that both women on the bench are compatible with him but only one is his perfect mate. After he sees Nora in person, he is determined that she is his perfect mate. He collects her to return back to his ship but Nora is fighting their mating. After the pirate attack, he learns that the enemy put a virus in his computer. He learns that according to the computer Nora isn't his perfect mate. Lutro doesn't care what the computer says, Nora is his.

Ok, that was funny, and probably pretty close to right on about how most women would react.
After one scout ship returns with the news that a planet has been found that has physically comparable mates for the males of their race, the second male heads off to try his lucK, even though the first scout has not closed the bond with his possible mate yet. When he finds his match, there are two girls and the computer says they are both matches, sitting in Central Park,NYC, one just caught her fiance in the bathroom of the church. doing it with his ex girlfriend on the day they were to be married. She's crying and talking to a more slender girl just as a mugger pops out of the brush with a knife. The Commander switches to his animal form, and dives out the door of his camouflaged scout, scaring the scrap out of both women and spreads the mugger, the non bride gal is gone in a flash, leaving the barefoot, teary, dumped bride at his feet, so he switches back to humanoid form, scoops her up and takes off. The rest of the day goes almost as well, A hacked computer, multiple wrong jumps that land them in enemy territory, attacked and boarded by his enemies, massively wounded. If it can go wrong it does, but they preserver, and finally get back to his mother ship, just in time for the commanding officers inspection. Murphy's Law just keeps on giving. There is a happy ending, and an idiot superior officer to deal with too.

Nora Marlin life was all planned out and her husband to be William Paterson didn’t want her to work or have any of her old friends but that happened over time until she had nobody left but she was happy or thought she was then the rug was pulled out from under her when she lost her job because of William and then on her wedding day she she catches William with his ex girlfriend before they even walk down the aisle so what’s a girl to do, she walks away leaving him behind and as if her day couldn’t get any worse she is kidnapped in the park by a big green tiger that killed a mugger that tried to hurt her and another woman. Commander Lutror Dax has come to earth to pick up his matched mate and be sheer luck there are two of them that he can have and he decides to take them both one is a little too skinny and the other is nice a curvy and at that moment a dangerous looking man attacks his mates and he must save them and he does but they run from him while he is busy, one is faster than the other and he catches one of them and knows she is the one for him his mate. How will it or turn out and can there have a future together when they don’t really know each other. Great read

Finding His Own Mate . . .
This is absolutely hilarious! We hear about the horrendous week that Nora was having, catching her cheating ex-fiancé, losing her apartment, losing her job, and then she gets kidnapped by an alien – and it’s by mistake!
As Nora first meets Commander Lutro Dax, he is in his shifted form of a green tiger as he attacks the mugger who is attacking two women. One runs off and Dax takes the other as his matched mate. But he had Nora instead. Then his week seems to get as horrendous as Nora’s! His new mate is not quiet as he had expected. She argues constantly. His ship was not functioning correctly, taking them to the enemy. Then his computer said his mate was incompatible. What’s a guy supposed to do? But by then, all thoughts of taking her back to Earth were discarded because she was the one he wants. Can they find a solution? Is Nora willing to stay with him? Will they get their well-deserved HEA?
This was so much fun to read. The characters were wonderful, the dialog fitting and snappy. Nora will definitely stand up for herself, which is probably good when your mate is a tiger! Grab your copy and enjoy their romance as they decide what the future will be for them.

Another Fun Romp Through Space!
Commander Lutro Dax is awaiting word from his scout Jalek to see if he found compatible females on the planet Earth. Not only has he found many compatible females, he is bringing his mate back with him. He sends Commander Dax DNA analysis and coordinates of his mate. Dax rushes off to claim his mate, sure that she will be thrilled to meet him and will fall into his arms and they will live happily ever after.
Nora Marlin is having the week from Hell! She gets fired from her job, finds her fiancé screwing his ex-girlfriend in the bathroom just before the wedding, she runs and collapses in Central Park, only to get mugged by some guy with a knife. Then, the icing on the cake, she gets abducted by a green tiger alien! She is not a happy camper!
Follow them on their fun filled adventure where they get lost in space, almost get abducted by a Karlaxon War Ship and Dax almost gets killed before they make their way back to the mother ship. Seems the Earth females are not quite as pliable as the Drovekzian males are expecting!

Commander Lutro Dax is a large bright green tiger shifter with black stripes. The females on Dax’s planet have become infertile because of an attack by the Karlaxon. Captain Jalek had been sent by Dax to check out planet X-320(Earth) to see if the females there could be mates. Captain Jalek not only found out that humans could be a DNA match but that he had found his own match and she was returning with him. Now Dax plans on heading to Earth and finding his own perfect match.
Nora is sitting on a bench in Central Park in her wedding dress next to another girl that could be her twin. Nora is having the worst week. I laughed thought this story. It was such a fun Sci-Fi story. Nora has had a week from hell and after running from her wedding she sits on a park bench in Central Park. Commander Dax hears from one of his scotts that he has had success with a mate on planet X-320 or Earth. Dax takes off for Earth to find his DNA mate. Dax is a Drovekzian and their enemies have put their species on the brink of extinction. When he gets to Earth he can't believe how poisons the planet is so he says, "Alien species have alien ways." A man is attacking his mates so he jumps out of his spaceship and turns into a giant, bright green tiger with back strips. I was laughing so hard when Nora starts telling the beast to be a "Nice kitty." This had adventure, action, confusion, aliens, aliens that look like rhinos, misunderstandings, fighting, passion, and love. I can't wait for the next book to come out. This was such a fun story! Warning: this contains an OTT alien without a clue, a sassy woman at the end of her wits, humor and sexy times. I love that the characters are so well developed.

Commander Lutro Dax gets the news that he has been matched with an earth woman and he is immediately off to go and fetch her expecting her to be thrilled to bits to be whisked off from her humdrum life on the back water planet of Earth to live her life by his side being a good and obedient mate. What he hadn't bargained on is the willfulness and independence of human women. Nora is having a pretty awful day and being dumped at the altar and walking the streets in her wedding dress is the least of her problems, especially when an armed robber pops out of the bushes and tries to rob her and then her whole world gets turned upside down when the robber gets torn apart by some kind of animal and she gets abducted by said creature. What follows is a brilliantly written, witty and captivating love story. The characters are all superbly crafted and the book is very well-written with tonnes of content.

A captivating story about Commander Lutro Dax and Nora Marlin. When Captain Jalek calls Commander Dax that he found viable mates on Earth, Dax goes to Earth to claim his match. Nora who just caught her fiancé with his ex-girlfriend in the bathroom on their Wedding Day runs away to the park. Nora finds a park bench that's occupied by another women reading a book and sits down and laments about the bad week she having. Dax following the ship computer coordinates narrows on the two females and when mugger threatens them, Dax leaves his ship to rescue them. Nora fleeing gets taken by Dax who takes her into his spaceship. What occurs afterward between Dax and Nora was a enjoyable engaging read as they get to know each other. Fun and funny with a happily ever after. Wonderful, well written, and entertaining characters. Nora Marlin didn't think her week could get any worse than it had already been, but she was wrong. Not only did she lose her job, she caught her fiance cheating on their wedding day so now she has no place to live. A walk in the park to clear her head and figure out what to do leads to being kidnapped by a gorgeous alien who just happens to change into a large predatory feline. Lutor Dax is on a mission to Earth to find a mate. Unfortunately the woman he pick up at the previously identified rendezvous turns out to be the wrong human female. Wow, laugh out loud funny, steamy book with some action, and unexpected twist in the plot. I thought this was a unique and original read. I loved it.

To Nora Marlin everything had gone wrong and to complete an alien had kidnapped her claiming that she was his mate. Commander Lutro Dax was on a mission for the benefit of his planet and his own but what surprises he was getting! The woman was not easy and there were even doubts about the mating bond and also, something weird was happening that most likely was sabotage. Liked that the strong, sassy, decided and smart Nora, tired of losing everything and still with doubts, gave herself a chance. Interesting and funny the vision that the Drovekzians had of humans. I liked how Nora despite her strange ideas, tried to exercise good judgment to decide what to do. An interesting, funny story, with action, suspense, some violence, romance and heated passion. I voluntarily reviewed this copy that I received free from Booksprout and I liked it.

Standalone with no cliffhangers, the epilogue leads into the next book.

Talk about a rough week - Nora's was the worst. Her favorite comment was "FML." Once she got abducted I found the book a lot of fun. There were several humorous parts from both Nora and Dax. I thoroughly enjoyed the two of them together. How lucky that a mate bond lets you know what the other person is feeling. They of course had to face danger together but that was a way to showcase how they worked together. Having Jalek and Lucy there when they arrived at the Levelock was a bonus. It gave Nora someone to talk things out with so she could figure out what she was going to do.
From the preview at he end of the story, we learn there will be an issue when Braxen goes to Earth to pick up General Galatov's mate.

The Drovekzians are doomed. The Karlaxons’ last weapon had left all the Drovekzian women barren. So scouts are sent out on secret missions searching for viable mates. When a possible qualifying planet is located, DNA scans are done of females of childbearing age, and they are matched to Drovekzians desiring mates. Surprize! Earth qualifies. There is just one problem. The Drovekzians didn’t realize they needed to get the female’s agreement.

A huge and handsome neon green alien, a feisty independent Earth female, snarky banter, enemy aliens that look like rhinoceroses, and friends make this a hilarious romp through space. This is an alien abduction story based on Commander Dax and Nora. Dax has come to earth to find his genetic match/mate, when he finds her she is sobbing and about to be attacked by a mugger. Dax shifts and jumps out of the ship and kills her attacker. Nora is terrified, she thinks he’s going to kill her too, instead he takes her aboard his ship and sedates her to put an translator implant in. While trying to get back to his planet, the ship they are on is boarded by the enemy, Dax is injured and Nora has to save him.
This is a fated mates book, it’s got action, steamy scenes, brilliant world building and characters and a happily ever after ending.

Cute story. Dax comes to Earth to find and claim his mate, only to find that it is not going to be that easy. First, there are two women at the coordinates where the computer says his mate is located, second, a man with a weapon is threatening them which forces him to take his beast form to "save" them, and third, the only female left at the end of the confrontation is not at all grateful. Who knew these Earth women were so hard to please? He manages to get her onboard his ship, only to end up at the wrong coordinates due to enemy sabotage. What else can go wrong?

Alien cat shifters looking for mates in NY Central Park area makes for a fun story. I loved the fun banter between Nora and Dax particularly when different words and phrases are misinterpreted. Who knew that Nora’s terrible week would end this way! A little suspense involving sabotage after Dax’s ship and another group of aliens really force Nora and Dax to work together. Once things settle down, they had to spend some time getting to know each other. Clearly, mate bonds make all the difference in a relationship. Overall, fun sci-fi story with a little heat on the side.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Nora has had a run of rotten luck but is still spunky. When she is abducted by Dax, Nora immediately starts to plot how to get back to earth despite her attraction to Dax. This changes when Karlaxon try to take over the scout ship. Nora fights just as hard as Dax against the invaders. However Nora isn't sure about staying with Dax until she follows advice of a fellow human and tries full sex with Dax with their mating bond. Nora and Dax marry in a mix of human and Drovekzian customs. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
