Chronicle

Meet Chronicle, a ruthless and ambitious young hustler aiming his sights on conquering the drug game and building a criminal empire at all costs. We take a look into his upbringing and learn how Chronicle received his rites of passage from the streets at a very young age. Growing up in the hood of Southwest Philly through the 80's and 90's taught Chronicle that anything and anyone can be used as a pawn to accomplish his goals. He is highly intelligent, seductive and has a cold-blooded drive for success. What will happen when Chronicle faces off with the streets, a powerful and dark Vodoo priestess, the Italian Mob, the Feds and his own demons. Will his conniving, cold, calculating ways lead him to unrivalled success or will narcissism, lust and manipulation be his downfall? It's easy to get lost in his story as you come face to face with Chronicle's crew, and his many seductresses each and every character is unforgettable and every scene is more intense. Please be prepared for graphic sex, profanity and scenes of horrific violence as they are vividly portrayed. This is not your average urban literature, this is a one of a kind street novel of epic proportions. You have read stories about the streets before but never one quite like this.

Chronicle
By Black Mamba
Chronicle and Roc were some bad a$$ little fkers😂. Their mothers were like sisters instead of cousins, which caused the two to grow up as brothers. Both having moms into the fast life made the duo wise beyond their years. Stepping onto the street game before they even got their first kiss, Mr. Chuck had his eyes on them and knew the youngsters were a force to be reckoned.
Welllllllll Mr. Chuck should have just let them youngsters be. These little knuckleheads took the takeover and hustling to another level, young beast frfr. Chronicle was not only a beast in the streets, he was also one on the sheets and learned to use that to his advantage. Now he may had a slew of women that he used to his advantage but every player meets that one and Kitty was not to be fked with😂.
You know, one can think they are the craziest mfer walking around, but that's not the case. It will always be someone crazier and that's where Mamai Lucia steps in. Mannnnnnn can you say cray cray? Yo, she was wackkkkoooo
And oh yeah Chronicle, you are nasty AF. Wrap that thing up and stop feasting on everybody dude. Geesh🤦🏾‍♀️
Paula is one gutsy and stupid broad😏. The game she is trying to play will lead her on the losing end, or not🤷🏿‍♀️. Sharon on the other hand is a straight up maniac and needs to be handcuffed and locked in a box 30feet under the ocean. Tinka ain't too bright either. Ion like her, Ion like what she tried to make Chronicle be. Ion like that this heffa was bat shyt crazy!
Zero is cool AF, I like him, but for some reason out of all the characters, I bonded with Wildchild.
Anyway, eventually Chronicle became unsatisfied with where he stood in the drug game. So unbeknownst to his competitors, he pulled back to plot and reach heights no one ever saw coming, not even him for the matter.
Lord knows I had no business cthu on the many scenes that I did, please forgive me😫
This book just made me realize how much I love flashback scenes when they are done correctly to understand the characters. These flashbacks were done expeditiously 🙌🏾

Chronicle Miller as a young man was indoctrinated into street life early. This book centers around his growth and him facing off with those who are plotting against him. Chronicle is as intelligent as they come when it comes to how to manipulate and move in the gritty streets of Philadelphia. I think the author did a great job of painting a picture of Chronicle's world. He was ruthless in his dealings. He was voracious in how he satiated his many appetites, including his lustful ones. He also has what if you know anything of those who move in the streets as true hustlers, he has the gift of mental manipulation. He does it relentlessly and well. I was pleasantly surprised by this novel. The novel touches on so many issues from socioeconomic and racial disparity to misogyny. The grittiness reminds me of another street fiction author. Both have a talent for painting the story with what I can only assume is a touch of realism. The story moved well. The characters were developed and the plot well thought out. The only cons I had were some of the transitions between scenes and/or dialogue. The author at times seemed to lose their way, especially with the ending, but all in all, it was a good read.

Chronicle can't really be confined to on genre of literature. It is a multifaceted book making it hard to put into one category. Chronicle for me is a psychological thriller that had me on the edge of my seat. Chronicle is a disturbed person that appears to be highly intelligent to others (he is intelligent) and is able to accomplish his goals by talking (manipulating) others. If you ever wanted to dive into the mind of a maniac then Chronicle is real life the book for your. The characters are authentic and the places are familiar and so are the situations..... Chronicle can eat the box like groceries (Read the book). On a more serious note this story line keeps you wanting more and will have you scratching your scalp at the end asking your self how many real life Chronicles do you meet on a regular and just don't know it. The one thing I know for certain is I don't want to meet Sharon or Chronicle in real life.... Five stars across the board.

This followed the story of Chronicle and the many people involved in him becoming a drug kingpin. This story had action that keep me on the edge of my seat. Chronicle started at a young age dealing drugs and just keep it going into adulthood. There were many sub characters and they held their own in this story as well. Chronicle knew what he wanted and didnt stop at nothing to get it. If your looking for a book with action that never stops, this is the book for you. This was my first book by this author and definitely will not be my last.!!!

Idk about this one.

I read this book because it was recommended. It wasn’t what I expected. It normally takes me 2 to 3 days to read a book and it took me about 2 to weeks. The ending was trash. It definitely could have ended wayyyy better.
