Haruki Murakami (村上春樹) is a Japanese writer. His novels, essays, and short stories have been best-sellers in Japan and internationally, with his work translated into 50 languages and having sold millions of copies outside Japan. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Gunzo Prize for New Writers, the World Fantasy Award, the Tanizaki Prize, Yomiuri Prize for Literature, the Frank O'Connor International Short Story Award, the Noma Literary Prize, the Franz Kafka Prize, the Kiriyama Prize for Fiction, the Goodreads Choice Awards for Best Fiction, the Jerusalem Prize, and the Princess of Asturias Awards.
Growing up in Ashiya, near Kobe before moving to Tokyo to attend Waseda University, he published his first novel Hear the Wind Sing (1979) after working as the owner of a small jazz bar for seven years. His notable works include the novels Norwegian Wood (1987), The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle (1994–95), Kafka on the Shore (2002) and 1Q84 (2009–10); the last was ranked as the best work of Japan's Heisei era (1989–2019) by the national newspaper Asahi Shimbun's survey of literary experts. His work spans genres including science fiction, fantasy, and crime fiction, and has become known for his use of magical realist elements. His official website cites Raymond Chandler, Kurt Vonnegut and Richard Brautigan as key inspirations to his work, while Murakami himself has named Kazuo Ishiguro, Cormac McCarthy and Dag Solstad as his favourite currently active writers. Murakami has also published five short story collections, including First Person Singular (2020), and non-fiction works including Underground (1997), an oral history of the Tokyo subway sarin attack, and What I Talk About When I Talk About Running (2007), a memoir about his experience as a long distance runner.
His fiction has polarized literary critics and the reading public. He has sometimes been criticised by Japan's literary establishment as un-Japanese, leading to Murakami's recalling that he was a "black sheep in the Japanese literary world". Meanwhile, Murakami has been described by Gary Fisketjon, the editor of Murakami's collection The Elephant Vanishes (1993), as a "truly extraordinary writer", while Steven Poole of The Guardian praised Murakami as "among the world's greatest living novelists" for his oeuvre.

الرواية التاسعة في تحدي ٣٠ كتاب ورواية في ٣٠ يوم

مسافر الصدف
لهاروكي موراكامي

الرواية كانت لتكون افضل لو انها لا تناقش هذا النوع من المواضيع الحساسة ( القوس قزح ) عن شاب محبوب من قبل الفتيات لكنه لا يحب الفتيات وعن حياته كيف تتغير بعد ان يعترف بذلك
لم احبذ هذا النوع من الاحداث لكن كوني طبيب ف انا اعرف ان هنالك حالات مرضية موجودة في الطب والدين تكون بهذا الشكل غير اني لا ابرر للمتشبهين والمتشبهات والمتحولين ! لان فعلتهم هذه لا تغتفر .. رغم ان هاروكي من كتابي المفضلين فهذه الرواية لم تعجبني كفكرة رغم طريقة السرد جميلة

Nice, little story on how a random event might serve as a trigger for something greater.

Often, we tend to postpone an important action, whether it's work-related or connected to our private life, simply because we don't have a strength or enough bravery for its completion. Unfortunately, the longer we wait, the worse the situation might become. And when the needed resolve is finally gained, either independently or through a random event, it's already too late and unnecessary to do anything.

So, even if chance can help you make a decision about something important, don't wait for it. Find the courage to do it while you still have time.

بغض النظر عن الشخصية الرئيسية للقصه مدوزن البيانو .
الا ان فكرة الصدف الغريبة في الحياه دائما ما تصادفني انا شخصيا ، في احدى ليالي الشتاء من عام 2016 استيقظت عند الفجر و ظللت ارمق سقف الحجرة لساعة و انا افكر و اوجه كلامي لله ، تكلمت كثيرا و شكيت و تمنيت دون ان يتحرك لساني حتى ، و كل ما افعله هو ان ارمق السقف ، توقفت فجأه عن سرد كلامي في رأسي وقلت :- يا الله ان كنت تستمع الي كلامي فاعطني اشاره ، فجأه سمعت صوت هطول المطر بدأ بالتدريج ثم اشتد بقوة .
صعقت من اثر الرد و انهمرت دموعي لساعة اخره .
ما زلت اتذكر هذا الموقف و كل ما تذكرة تدمع عيناي حتى وانا اكتب هذا التعليق ، لقد كان اجمل شيء مررت به و كان للموقف رهبه لا يمكنني تخطيها ابدا🤍

من يصدق أن هاروكي أصبح من كُتّابي المفضلين بسبب قصصه القصيرة؟
تتحدث هذه القصة بلسان موراكامي (يقول أن القصة حقيقية وحدثت معه شخصياً) عن الصُدف وتأثيرها في حياتنا وكم- أحياناً -تبدو هذه الصدف مبالغة وغير معقولة، إلا أنها إن دلّت على شيء فهو وجود إلهٍ يدبر لنا هذه الصدف بطريقة تجعلها أسباباً لأقدار تغير حياتنا!

The message of following the "formless"—that is, of trusting coincidences and universal omens to guide you—is nice, and the tale of the piano tuner following these coincidences in such a way that he reunites with his estranged sister is human and cute. But then, beside that, we have coincidences such as checking your watch at a funny time number, and not only does that story not compare well to the piano tuner's story, but it's so vapid that its inclusion as a setup kind of undermines the alleged importance of the coincidences.

Plus, Murakami self-inserts to tell us that no one he's told these stories to seem to care all that much, and I think he's being honest when he says that. Quirky little anecdotes like his are not exactly A-list reading materials.

Side note: A lot of the other low reviews on Goodreads hate on this story because of the gay man. So I have to make it clear, just because of the company this review keeps, that the gay stuff is fine. Grow up.

آخر قراءاتي لهذه السنة #2024 اختتمها بهذه القصة القصير جدا لكاتبي المفضل، للأمانة لقد استمعت للقصة لم اقرأها ومنذ اللحظة الأولى وكما هو متعارف على وصف موركامي فقد غصت في عالمه، لألون عالم موركامي نمط مميز!
كانت القصة بسيطة عن مجموعة من الصدف التي يمكن أن تحدث للكثير منا والتي قد نبالغ بتسميتها بالمعجزات، لكن موركامي ساحر تفوح رائحة ويسطع شعاع غامض مما يكتبه حتى لم كان قصة قصيرة جدا.

This was so heartwarming and startling. As someone who isn’t religious nor spiritual, knowing the author also the same, and still reading these stories had me feeling startled but pleased with how little coincidence add a flavor to our life. I love reading about stories like this and remembering similar experiences from my own little circle.

وانا انظف غرفتي كالعادة

التزامن الجميل لسماعي هذه الرواية هو بحد ذاتة موضوع الكتاب
، التزامن ، بغظ النظر عن سرد وأحداث القصة
ولكن بالفعل ، هنالك رسائل من السماء وفي الارض وفي الرياح وفي صوت
المارة وبلسان الاشخاص

هل يمكننا ان نفهم هذه الرسائل ونعي بالفعل التزامن الكوني لها ؟ هنا تكمن القصة..

لا شيء عبثي في هذا الكون ، جميعنا مترابطون بشكل أو بآخر..

“مسافر الصدف” للكاتب الياباني هاروكي موراكامي هي قصة قصيرة تبدو بسيطة في مضمونها وأسلوبها، ما يجعلها محط اهتمام النقاد والقراء على حد سواء. الرواية تدور حول فكرة السلوك الفردي وتقبل الإنسان لذاته كوسيلة لضمان نجاحه في الحياة، لكن هذه الفكرة تُعرض بطريقة يمكن وصفها بالسطحية مقارنة بالعمق الذي اعتدناه في أعمال موراكامي الأخرى.

The theme of the story is not unfamiliar in Murakami’s work. He frequently explores the factors shaping individuals, whether they be coincidences, random events, or even impulsive decisions. However, the way this subject is approached in Chance Traveler feels more like an introductory idea rather than a profound exploration.

لكني لم أكن متيقنا أن كل شيء يمكن ان يكون مرتباً بدقة هكذا!!

على الرغم من بساطة الفكرة إلا أنها تحمل وقعاً خاصاً
لطالما حدثت معي أشياءٌ كهذه. وللواقع أنها تحدثُ كثيراً... البارحة حدث شيءٌ مشابه.
كنت انظر إلى أحد المقتنيات التي اشتريتها هديةً لصديقتي المسافرة أقول إلى متى ستبقى هنا لدي؟
ليرن هاتفي من رقم غريب وتكون والدةُ صديقتي قادمةٌ إلي بسبب نزولها إلى بلدنا وحاجتها لإمضاء بعض الوقتِ. اتصلت بصديقتي والمصادفةُ أن صديقتي لم تكن تعلم بمرور والدتها إلى منزلي.
مصادفةٌ طريفة في النهايةِ أعطيتُ الهديةَ لوالدةِ صديقتي.

أحب اسلوبَ هاروكي موراكامي في السرد، وكما قال في بدايةِ الروايةِ انه يقوم بالحديث عن أشياء ووقائعٍ حدثت معه. فالهجوم على الروايةِ كبيرٌ. لماذا كل ذلك؟ وهو أوضح في البدايةِ أنهُ يروي أحداثاً واقعيةً.
على أيةِ حال، هذه الرواية الرابعةُ التي أقوم بقراءتها له هذا العام "وهنا أشمل كافكا على الشاطئ التي لم أنهيها حيث بقي لي القليل منها" حيث استمع صباحاً لرواية أثناء عملي. وبت أحبُّ أسلوبه في الكتابةِ.

هاروكي موراكامي ستصبح كاتبي المفضل لهذا العام. سأحاول قراءة كل ما كتبت.

“Maybe chance is a pretty common thing after all. Those kinds of coincidences are happening all around us, all the time, but most of them don’t catch out attention and we just let them go by. It’s like fireworks in the daytime. You might hear a faint sound, but even if you look up at the sky you can’t see a thing. But if we’re really hoping something may come true, it may become visible, like a message rising to the surface. Then we’re able to make it out clearly, decipher what it means. And seeing it before us we’re surprised and wonder at how strange things like this can happen. even though there’s nothing strange about it. I just can’t help thinking that. What do you think? Is this forcing things?”

القصة تبدو محاولة أخرى من موراكامي لإعادة تدوير أسلوبه المعتاد المليء بالغموض والرمزية الغامضة، لكن هذه المرة تبدو خاوية بشكل يثير الإحباط. على الرغم من محاولاته لخلق أجواء شاعرية، إلا أن النص يفتقر إلى أي جوهر حقيقي؛ الشخصيات تبدو مسطحة وغير مقنعة، كما أن الأحداث، رغم غرابتها، لا تحمل عمقًا كافيًا لتبرير وجودها.

موراكامي يبدو وكأنه يراهن بشكل مفرط على قدرته على خلق شعور غريب دون أن يقدم تفسيرًا مقنعًا أو حبكة واضحة. هذا الأسلوب، الذي قد يكون جذابًا لبعض قرّائه الأوفياء، يصبح متعبًا ومبتذلًا عند تكراره دون تطوير.

من الجميل أن ترى "هاروكي موراكامي" بذاته يحكي لكَ قصة حقيقة وقعت معه ومع أحد أصدقائه.
وكيف كانت الصدفة هي أساس كل شيء, وكيف يمكن لأشياء بسيطة تحدث معك, القوة لتغيير أشياء كبيرة في المستقبل.
أشك أن هذه القصة التي حدثت معه أثناء كتابته لروايته "يوميات طائر الزنبرك" تداخلت ايضاً في أحداث الرواية...
من المستحيل أن يترك "موراكامي" هكذا أمر دون توثيقه في مؤلفاته..

خصوصا ان القصة جميلة ومؤثرة للغاية, والرائع بالموضوع أنها حدثت بالحقيقة.. هذا أضاف لها سحراً خاصاً.
من الطبيعي أن تكون مؤلفات "موراكامي" مليئة بالسحر والجنون, ^^" لأنه ينتبه لكل شيء يحصل معه, يستمع بأهتمام ومن ثم يضيف عليها اللمسة "الموراكامية" وبعدها يتركنا لوحدنا مع جنونه وهلوساته الجميلة, في محاولة مستحيلة لفهم مايحاول كتابته.

I usually find Murakami stories incredibly dull. But weirdly, I genuinely enjoyed this one.

Might’ve been the low expectations or perhaps the fact that he came up with lines like this:

“Let’s just say that something took place and he discovered that he was, unmistakably, gay”

The connection the main character (gay guy) makes with a female stranger leads him to reconnect with a sister he fell out with over his sexuality. It’s a powerful message imo.

My favourite thing about the story isn’t necessarily the coincidence, but how fate can lead you to meet a stranger who you bond with.

It’s by no means a perfect story, but it’s the first one that me think perhaps Murakami can actually write well….

و جدتها عادية ... رواية بسيطة عن صدف تقود إلى المزيد من الصدف و إن كانت رسالة الكاتب الخفية هي الترويج للشذوذ الجنسي فالبطل شاذ يصوره لنا المؤلف في دور الضحية المسكين الذي يعاني من تقبل المجتمع له ... و الحقيقة أن هذا سخف لا محدود ... و إنني لأعجب حقا ممن يقومون بترجمة مثل هذه الأعمال المتدنية و من يقومون بإنفاق الوقت و بذل الجهد و المال في إخراجها كتبا صوتية يسمعها الملايين و يتأثر بها الكثيرون ألا يجدر بهم أن يكونوا أكثر إنتقائية و حرصا فيما يقدمون فهم عن ذلك حتما سيسألون

I liked the idea of the story chances and coincidences open doors of many opportunities, and sometimes we forget the messages behind the chances that destiny brings to us overall I liked the idea but I didn't enjoy it I expected more just it's not good enough for me I hope others enjoy it more than I did, It's NO for me...

لا أدري لِمَ يتطرق لموضوع الألوان بين الجنسين وهو يحظى بهذه الشهرة والإنتشار؟
لم يلجأ الكتاب لمثل هذه الأمور المقززة؟!
لم تخدم هذه التفصيلة القصة من وجهة نظري... فلم يُنفرني من كتاباته ويجعلني أتخوّف من الكتاب القادم له؟!

قصة قصيرة خفيفة نجالس فيها هاروكي مواراكامي حياتة العادية الغير عادية.
تتحدث عن صدفة تحدث لاحد اصدقائه الذي يملك ميولا شاذة. وفي ضوء تأثيرها على حياتة الخاصة يحدث أمرا ما.. أمرا غير أعتيادي. ولكنه محض صدفة.

انا شخص يؤمن بالصدف والحظ وتقابل الارواح المتشابهه ودائما تأخذ حيز من تفكيري كيف لارواح ان تتقابل وارواح تتنافر لاسباب نجهلها غالباً القصه بسيطه وحزينه ليست افضل ماكتبه لكن لعل واقعيتها المبالغ فيها افقدتها جمالها
لعله لو قال في نهايتها انها قصه حقيقيه لجذبت انتباهي اكثر

تبدو القصة تتحدث عن الصدف، لكن يبدو ان هنالك مغزى بأن تكاثل الصدف ما يخلق حقيقة أحدهم. لابد أن للصدف وقع مهول على ماهية حياتنا.

وصفه للأشياء العادية لذيذ ، أكثر من أي شيء آخر ، قدرته على تحويل كل شيء عادي لمنحنى ساحر وشاعري.
