The Easter season is full of joy, celebration, and life. It’s so easy to get swept up in the busyness of plays and pastels that we sometimes forget to stand in awe of Jesus this time of year.
Behold Your King is a thoughtful look at the Easter season, focusing on the events and deeper theological meaning of the Passion Week. Diving into topics Old Testament prophecy that connects to Jesus as the Messiah, the significance of the events of Palm Sunday through the silence of Holy Saturday, and Jesus’ appearances after His resurrection, this study will not only help the reader understand how beautifully deep Christ’s sacrifice for us was, but also how to live in light of these life-giving truths.
This resource will also include Easter activities to help kids, students, and adults celebrate the season together.
This was a good book. I skimmed some of it...I know I’m terrible. It did make me see Easter in a new perspective and growing up celebrating it every year, I thought I knew all about it. I was wrong. Worth a study with friends or yourself, but be prepared to commit time to it.
A great in-depth look at Christ's final week leading up to Easter Sunday. It was a nice change up that a different person wrote each day's homework.
The book itself is visually appealing with it being in color. I also really appreciated the Easter activities for adults, teens, and young children. I implemented a few of the children's lessons for our makeshift homeschool Sunday school with good results. They are cute and actually doable. So often these kinds of activities are not very realistic. These were great! The adult ones I didn't attempt because they weren't really covid appropriate right now.
Some excellent insights in some of the lessons and a beautiful book with interesting activities. However the book as a whole was a bit uneven due to the numerous authors. There was a lack of cohesiveness and a bit of repetition. Some questions were a bit too tedious asking one to copy in fragments of scripture rather than look for insight.
