This is the 2nd edition of this book. The plot line has not changed however it has been edited and small changes have been made! Enjoy-

No one in our family had come from an easy life. From foster care to forming the Ravens at our small Boston college, the concept of danger had never been one we turned away from. Instead, we took it upon ourselves to serve as the lawless justice system on campus to stop unnecessary deaths from the distribution of laced drug products.

Why? Because of her. Because her death could have been stopped. That was why we formed the Ravens.

So what has changed? My boys have always been protective but now I felt as though there was a secret standing between us. As we begin to receive tips about the Letters, questions start to plague my mind. What have the boys been hiding from me? Why is my sister, Lucida, never around anymore? Why do dead ravens continue to show up in my home? Why can't I stop thinking about fire?

You have to understand, nothing has ever been simple for us. You try living in a house with all boys. Boys that you... well, I'm not positive how I feel about them. Something has always been different about us. I can feel it. So, my biggest question -- what is it?

The Ravens. Ready yourself for chaos, love, and gore. Nothing is simple or easy for Vegas.

*Fantasy RH*
Our badass characters swear a lot. As well, please be advised that the book contains darker themes including assault, PTSD, and violence. Additionally, sexual themes are suitable for mature audiences +18.

The author made an interesting choice for this one. The harem is already formed and living together. They all have feelings for her and she for them but, it has not been declared. My favorite part of books is the relationship development so that right there made it less interesting for me. Since everything is a given. There are 8 guys in her harem which makes it hard to keep track of who is who.

What made me give it up is that 50% into the book you still have no idea what is going on. Lots of background info dump (about how they met her, and where the boys came from). Are they supernatural? Some hints are given that they might be. What is the whole drugs thing that is going on? What is going on with the Letters? What about the sudden stalker. Add in that she is pretty weak, with all these guys basically pulling the strings from the background while she remains mostly oblivious, and you just feel like you are also in the dark without knowing anything that is going on (or even if there is conflict at all).

With all of that it just made it hard to get into either the story or even like the characters.

I had no expectations when diving into this book. Mostly because I read a shit ton of reverse harem books. However, this one was a bit different since everyone already lived together. I did think it was adorable that this little harem started at a young age - even if they had no idea.

Raven Blood was a pretty good book. I devoured it quite quickly - which means I loved it basically. Vegas was such an interesting character. The connection she had with all of the guys (who were also very interesting) was unbelievable. I wish I had such a tight knit friendship with people like that. I also really enjoyed the little twists about them all being orphans. They definitely stuck together and were protective of everyone within this family that they built.

Besides this little harems cute teasing/frustrating moments. This book definitely delivered some drama - like a smidge of it. People apparently wanted to kill Vegas - no biggie, right? Wrong. But that wasn't the only little twist here and there. Nope, the guys were keeping a pretty big secret.. but it wasn't the only truth bomb that was unleashed at the end of this book.

Overall, I really enjoyed this one and I'm super sad that the second book isn't a thing yet. I will be twiddling my thumbs until that bad boy comes out.

I purchased the book on its release date and as I did not have WiFi on my kindle, I wasn't able to check if there was a new version of the book or if it has been updated. Usually, I would have just used the Hotspot but I am having phone problems.
Because of that, I cannot be certain the book I read is the one currently available.

My version was simply awful. Not the story per se, although it wasn't mind blowing, but the writing was. Words were missing, the editing was catastrophic, your and you're were inverted. It was a painful read even for my far from perfect English and I could almost immediately read it again with the latest version -if latest version there is.

Despite that, I think I am going to give second book a try. The story made no sense whatsoever but sometimes you just want to read something far fetched and over the top. And this will be my choice.

Red Masques...

Great start to what I think will be a wonderful series. I got the revised version, so I thankfully missed out on what other reviewers rated so low with this book.

The story is about Vegas. She and nine other kids were raised together in foster care. Eight of the kids are boys and they become a strong family.

The boys all fall in love with Vegas and decide that instead of making her eventually choose one of them, and risk fracturing them, they will all wait for her to come to terms with the fact she has feelings for all of them.

The present of this book has them all in college and living together, except for foster sister Luci who lives with her girlfriend.

Someone starts stalking Vegas and threatening messages are delivered. Someone tries to kill her and these guys will do anything to keep her safe.

There's a supernatural element to the story that is revealed near the end of the book, as well as the addition of two more characters that I suspect set up the rest of the series.

This installment of the series doesn't have much by way of sex. Some kissing, lots of cuddling, and touching. The guys pretty much let Vegas set the pace for all that.

There's drama and suspense, budding relationships with Vegas and at least 8 guys who love her (maybe the other two eventually, tho that seems like a lot!), and the threat of death with a side of supernatural at the end. What more could a girl want?

I don't know

What happens in Vegas's home, ... well, it's kind of a long story. Vegas and the guys were all fosters in the same home. Some guys go by their real names, some chose a name since they didn't have any, and some go by a nickname. As there's 8 (I think?) of them it gets confusing. Just as confusing as the weird notes, spying pics, and dead ravens. They've gone from trying to keep dealers clean to being attacked by someone in a very odd fashion. And Vegas still hasn't figured out what the guys are hiding from her that started over the summer.

Spoilers ahead.
Did that review sound a little odd and confusing? That's how the book reads. It's very disjointed and the plot line is so fractured I'm not sure where it's going. Even though I read the Nova series, that ties in and gives some backstory on Vegas and the guys. I thought going back to read this and Grey's series would clear things up. Yeah, not so much.
*I understand the war on drugs is ever changing and halting it is beyond them. But the backstory about fellow foster who died from OD was barely even touched on. And a single guy following gangs? Unrealistic.
*Too many characters introduced all at once. Barely described, short flashbacks, and vague personalities are all you get. It would have flowed better as a prologue flashback, everyone being added and introduced there. Then moving on to the story.
*The stalker angle, times 2, what? Why?
*If 8 guys is confusing, adding 2 more isn't going to make it any less so.
*Why the sinister cast to the group and 2 new additions? I don't see the benefits to the story.
*We go from very human to very not in a paragraph. No denials, no questioning it, just ok and end scene. Eh?
*While the ending finally answers why kids from all over US were dragged to Ohio to foster, it doesn't explain the system behind it. The mom, Vivian (I think, I'm horrible with names and there's a lot thrown at you here), did she know? Otherwise why would she accept so many kids? World building is so important.
*Are there plants in the social service branches for kids like them? How are future mages identified before powers kick in in situations like this?
*Why do none of the kids remember their parents, or other relatives, having special abilities? Magic doesn't exist to them until suddenly it does. It's a very shaky premise for a reader to believe.
*How did all of them manage to go to the same college, and house together? Their ages vary slightly (did some graduate together, skip, what?) and that's a lot of bedrooms to find in a single house, even with sharing.
*Where are the bonding scenes? How did so many kids, traumatized, manage to become so close? Not to stereotype, but many fosters have behavior issues, emotional issues. Protecting Vegas only half answers this.
*What were their initial plans when going to college? Degrees, specialities. Why are all enrolled? Seems odd that not a one decided to join the work force instead of more schooling. They all are, I'm guessing because it's never explained, full time students, holding down jobs to afford a house to hold 9 people (plus food, bills, cars, insurance, ...), and still have time to harass drug dealers? Oh, and whatever secret thing they're doing. That's incredibly busy for... whatever age they are.
I am not sure I'll be reading many more of this, or Nova's series. And pretty sure that I'm going to avoid Grey's if it's as disjointed as these 2. Which is sad. Because the blurb is intriguing and Nova's story is sort of finally taking off. But even trying to read these as fluff leaves too many questions unanswered, plot holes and characters to make sense of. I'm going to give it a week, come back and try again. Because on top of all that, the errors, typos and oospies just add to the chaos. The idea is interesting enough I want to power through, though.

I don't know how she does it, juggling so many guys but I'm impressed. I definitely enjoy this series and I'll have to read more. I don't know which one I prefer, maybe Bandit or Kodiak or Deci or ... you get it, it's impossible to choose.

I like that they have such a strong connection and care so deeply for each other. The plot is well thought and entertaining. There's a lot more to come and I'll be there for it.

Raven blood

Here’s the thing, this book was decent and I felt like three stars was super generous...

Confusing. This book was super confusing I get the author wanted to be super mysterious and show that she was leading up to something; however, it was confusing. I have no clue who “the Letters” are aside that they’re a rival gang? The phrase and group themself came out of nowhere with no real explanation. It was confusing who they all were And what part they played.

Are they in college or high school? They’re learning college subjects why is there that situation of the guy escorting the lead to the dean? Principal? I have no clue. But who would escort someone from a class in this day and age and give a note to the professor to ask permission? It’s just odd.

The female lead was maddening. First she was badass? Then there’s a lot of crying, hugging, and inner monologue on her confusion of what the guys mean when they say “say that you are ours” 🧐, pepper that with her anxiety attacks which don’t make sense. So apparently the lead suffers from panic attacks (totally cool with that, adds depth) it feels like no where did it explain her triggers or where it stems from. She just seemed whiny and weak, while trying to appear badass.

I felt like the author tried to go the mysterious route in writing this, but it missed the mark from a making sense perspective. Too many details are left out and even though in the end you get some sliver. It’s just not good enough. You don’t even realize this is supposed to be a paranormal book until close to the end. You notice weird things not adding up that hints towards paranormal throughout the book , but you don’t really know, it’s not clear.

There is no information on what the guys do, you get to hear all different POVs (which I love), but nowhere do u get the deal for what they’re doing for the job. You get that they get justice for the bad things happening in their community but, again it’s like the author left it up to your imagination to figure something out because she was too busy detailing the bed-sleeping situation. Which leads to my next topic...

There wasn’t any real steam. Period. You’ve got a bunch of guys and kissing and one got to second base NEAR THE END. Come on! What are we waiting for? This author spent way too much time detailing how the FMC never sleeps in her bed alone bc there’s always a guy(s) sleeping in it with her. Cool. I don’t want to hear about a puppy dog pile. Give me something!!

Idk I’m curious about this series but also a little skeptical.

Intriguing series

I am a firm believer in the fact that everyone has some level of darkness in them, even though it's rarely discussed. I, for one, enjoy the occasional dark romance, where the main characters aren't your average textbook heroes. M Sinclair nailed it with the first book in the Red Masques series. The characters in this book all carry their own brand of darkness and are definitely non apologetic about it. They do it to protect their family. A family by choice, not by blood. This first book introduces us to the characters and the mystery that's surrounding them. The author managed to create the perfect atmosphere, mixing the love and loyalty that is clear in every action and conversation with a plot that makes us want to find out more. I was enamored by the characters and intrigued by what we learned, but it's clear that there's a lot more information we need, providing the perfect hook for the second book in the series without leaving us readers with a cruel cliffhanger. An amazing book indeed!

So, this was good, not great, but good. I think it just comes down to a preference thing. For me, I like to see the harem develop. This story begins with everyone already in love. I also felt like the first 25% percent of the book was descriptions of all the guys, plus how they first met Vegas. I literally have every word highlighted with any details of appearance and noted who it is. That may also be part of the problem there are just too many guys in my opinion to keep track of in the way they are introduced.

So this is all just my opinion, obviously. It has a good premise, and I think it could develop into a great series, but it is just not for me.

This was an interesting read. Right away, we’re thrown into Vegas’ life, in some alley getting information about a drug deal or something like that. We’re introduced to her guys, and holy crap. There’s 8 of them. It was difficult for me to differentiate most of them during this book.

I did enjoy that we got to see how they met, with flashbacks during the guys’ POV scenes. I do enjoy how this author writes her male characters, and that they’re all obsessed with the heroine. Vegas was interesting in the way that while we read her POV, i really couldn’t get a sense of her personality yet. I’m hoping it comes off more in the next books. Whereas she started one way and I thought I could expect a certain reaction out of her, she reacted completely different.

Ok, so I did like the characters but I have to say that I was confused for 90% of this book. It seemed like I had missed chunks of something, so I double checked if I missed a book or something. But then I read some reviews and apparently that’s how a few people have felt also. We jumped from one thing to the next, and then something big would happen and it would be resolved with a snap of the fingers before moving on to something else. The world building is just lacking for me to fully immerse myself.

From the blurb we also know this is paranormal/supernatural, but we really don’t find out why until the last few chapters. It’s an interesting premise, it just didn’t completely resonate with me based on how it was pieced together. I also didn’t like that they were keeping something from her, and it was mentioned multiple times before we got answers, and she calmly accepted it without even getting upset, like she had been before.

I’ll probably be moving onto book 2 soon, because I am interested as to where this story is going, but I do hope it flows better so it’s less confusing to keep track of. I’ve also never read a harem with 10 guys, so I’m intrigued as to how it can be done.

Did I understand everything that was setup in this book? No. Do I care? No.

I love when a group a guys have one girl that they are super close with, have an inexplicable connection with, and have decided amongst themselves that they all love her and are going to share her. Meanwhile, the girl has no clue and is slightly conflicted that she is attracted to all of them. That's what this book is. Love it!

Now there are 8 dudes - which is a lot - and I think there are gonna be 2 more, but I'm just gonna go with and enjoy the (hopefully) very sexy ride.

So, I wasn't going to read it because of amazon reviews, but half the time i dont trust them.
I skimmed the first 10% of the book thinking i wasnt going to like it.
I WAS WRONG
I LOVED IT.

I liked how tough Vegas was and the connection she had with the guys. They grew up in foster care all together. ANd all protected Vegas since they were young. I like how we got a background about how they all ended up in foster care.
For most of the book it felt like a contemporary RH growing until we found out its a fantasy. Which was already told to us in the synopsis
The only thing i did not like was this RH was huge!!! 8 guys! And then at the end its hinted 2 more will be added.
Now I love RH as much as the next girl, but 10 guys in a RH is just to much. Plus you got all these guys povs and i just think its to much.
but the plot was interesting enough that i liked it
I will read the next book

The story revolves around a uniqe idea with strong character development and author holds the readers through multi-dimensional plot.
Its mysterious cover appeals the reader to explore the world behind it and mounts the curiosity of a reader.
Something has always been different about the Ravens. Vegas's biggest question - what is it? .
Author opens the knots step by step. She beautifuly tackles different themes like love, chaos and life. Author knits a beautiful plot for a series.
Author developed mystery and suspense with the story line and its on peek at the end. With every turn of page reader finds a new reality. At the end shocking twist makes the reader thirsty for next book.
This is book one if the series make sure read two other books to quench the thirst of curiosity.
I would give it 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 because writer skillfully developed strong charcters.
Highly recommended!!
Can't wait to read the next book of this series.

This seemed like a great first book to start off the series. The story is about Vegas and nine other kids that were raised together in foster care. Eight of them being boys around her age and they become a close knit group. There is struggles between dynamics and trying to sort out Vegas' feelings towards the guys. The guys are all in love with her, and decide that it would be better to wait for Vegas to come to terms with her feelings for all of them, rather than choosing.

There is a supernatural element towards the end of the book which will be interesting to see what happens. I enjoyed the multiple POV to understand the guys' personalities and their interactions with Vegas. This book had some drama, but nothing too major, and there was also some suspense. There was a lot of background information, and you see the story line come together afterwards. Definitely loving this series.

*contains spoilers*
some scenes where confusing and jumbled, the one s*x scene was pretty tame and the “kidnapping” scene was rushed and to unrealistic and easy, (even for fantasy). There is spelling mistakes, and I wouldn’t usually comment on them because hey we are human but these where really obvious ones. Vegas the f mc is crazy but in a good way and she manages 8 boys brilliantly, fighting against magically laced drugs in university which leads to another crazy plot at the end through the mistakes this is a good first book in this series but it wasn’t for me, I recommend giving this a read to draw your own conclusions.

So intense!

I'm a fan of m Sinclair's and this book didn't fail to impress. The author just has a way of being able to draw you in to then spin a wonderful tale that's usually fully of drama and steam. This book so far is definitely a slow burn that I'm hoping will heat up. I'm going to be immediately downloading the next book as I need to know more about Vegas and her her men. It's tricky keeping up with them all but I already enjoy reading about bandit and blue. Did I suspect magic, yes the hint for me was the description of their eyes. Overall a good start to the series, flows really smoothly and packed with action.

So happy I found this series ❤️

I've been in a horrible book slum lately. It seemed every book I picked up just couldn't hold my interest. Until I found Raven blood. OMG this has everything I didn't even know I was looking for. I devoured this book in less than a day, and I mean completely dazed out of the real world and was actually living for this story. Going to go read book two now and say screw sleep, who needs sleep for work in the morning when there are questions that need to be answered and I just need more of Vegas and her guys!!!

I seriously loved this story, it gripped me from the first page and kept me glued to the page throughout. Vegas and her boys all met in foster care and continue to live together after leaving. Vegas loved them all but is wary about what the future holds when they all get girlfriends and start families. They are incredibly protective of her and when she is targeted by a stalker everything changes. Packed full of drama and intrigue secrets and romance, this is an amazing story and I am so looking forward to the next book

awesome read , I absolutely loved this story.

Well that girl collects crazy like some people collect Pokémon. I personally think she should’ve given them more crap about them lying to her.

I’ve read some of the other reviews and people saying “ wow that last part of the book came out of nowhere. I don’t understand “ then they write a crappie review because they missed all the hints that was all on them for not paying attention so …………………………………………………………………………………………………🙄 PAY ATTENTION !!!

This was a pretty good and quick read.

Vegas, her best friend Lucida, and her boys (also known as the Ravens) all grew up together in foster care and created a makeshift family. They all have a history that was unpleasant, hence them being in foster care and we get insight into all their backstories throughout the book. The story starts out with them all in college in Boston and the evolution of their relationship from friends to something more... there isn't much other than kisses and declarations of intent in this book, but I suspect as the series progresses there will be more. Also, in this book, Vegas is dealing with a stalker and another group on campus that is causing problems for The Ravens.

Characters:
▸ Vegas - MC
▸ Harem - Bandit, Blue, Booker, Byron, Cosimo, Decimus, Edwin, Grover, Kodiak, and Rocket

Other Characters -
▸ Lucida - Vegas' best friend/foster sister
▸ Nathan - Vegas' friend/ bar owner
▸ The Letters - a group of pretentious a-holes who apparently are too good for whole names and only need a letter as identification (this was a stupid concept IMO)
▸ Levi - poor schmuck

So I'll start with what I didn't like...
▸ 10 dudes... REALLY?!? Don't get me wrong, I like all of the guys, but that just seems like a lot for one woman to handle.. I am curious to see how she does it and if the writer can keep any of them from disappearing into the background like I've seen in other series where there are an excessive amount of men in a harem. I will say though that the author does a good job of making them distinct.. it isn't difficult to differentiate them from each other which I can appreciate. Nothing like having a bunch of clones for a harem... you know what I mean - multiple guys with the same personality that you can't tell one from the other.
▸ Nothing really happens until about the halfway point of the book. I mean there are small things that allude to who may be the "big bad" of the book, but nothing really happens in the first half except for a lot of flash backs into the MC and her harem's past.
▸ There weren't a lot of descriptors for the characters. We are told multiple times about Vegas' hair and blue/purple eyes, but the other characters we only get brief snippets and vague descriptions about their physical characteristics. This really isn't a big deal, but personally, I like to have an idea of what the characters look (is that weird?)
▸ There were a few other things that I didn't care for, but I don't want to nitpick because overall I enjoyed the book...

Despite all the things I didn't like, I still really enjoyed the story. Love Vegas and her guys. I think my favorites (as of book 1) are Grover, Blue, Rocket and Bandit. Anyways, I liked the concept. I was hesitant to read this one based on the blurb and the mention that Vegas and her harem had already been friends and living together. I guess I misunderstood thinking they had already established a relationship, but they are only friends when the book starts and it builds from there - which in a way kind of gets rid of any insta-lust (which I can't stand) since they already know each other and it isn't a far leap from loving them as friends to realizing they are in love with each other ... although the introduction of the new characters toward the end of the book and his declaration of love was a little out there. However, he is kind of batshit crazy so it also kind of fits and isn't *gag* insta-lovey. Anyhoo...I digress. it is an interesting story and I'm interested to see where the series goes.

I definitely recommend this series. BUT, don't be an idiot like me and read the different series backwards or out of order. I was not aware that this series as well a few others from this author are all related and didn't read them in order which left me with some spoilers of my own doing 🙄. Actually, I started with Savages of the Vengeance series, but ended up shelving it because I just couldn't get into it. Then, recently I saw Finding Fae and read what is available from that series. It wasn't until I got about 2 books into Descendant of Chaos that I realized that they are all linked up which is why I gave in and gave this book a shot. So, I'm reading them backwards, which isn't the worst thing, but I don't recommend that. So yeah, if you like seriously insane and over-protective alpha-vibes from the MMCs and feisty heroines, definitely read this as well as the other series (Vengeance, Descendants of Chaos, and Lost in Fae and her other series in this universe) as well, they will not disappoint.

I have quite a bit to say about this one, hold tight and heads up for a few spoilers.

Pros:
* Seems recently edited so not too many mistakes, unfortunately, what mistakes are there are glaring but thankfully don't take away from the story.
* Good overall story with solid characters. Each person was pretty discernable from the others. Sometimes the similar personality characters blended a little, but it wasn't too bad.
* Already formed large (8+) harem. I liked that the group was mostly formed, that way the rest of the story was left for establishing where the group was at now instead of the tedious meet and greets that can drag on. Especially in cases of harems this size. We thankfully were only subjected to small flashbacks to show how they met.
* The paranormal aspects were sprinkled and light so when the big reveal happened, you knew, but you also weren't sure. Which added a nice element to the story.

Cons:
* The story did not flow very well. We started at a nice slow, but even, pace and then suddenly around 40% -everything- happened. And it happened very quickly. We were just getting into the lives of the characters when out of nowhere a stalker appears. However, the stalker doesn't just show up and slowly escalate their threats but goes all out right away. This literally happens within a day. A threat in the morning, an escalation in the afternoon, and some bs that night. There was no spacing for a cooldown to help build up suspense.
* Some of the events that happen aren't explained well. FMC's stalker kills a ton of birds and there's lots of blood in her room so she walks in, sees it, and has a panic attack because of some unknown past trauma. This is fine, but what isn't is the next scene she is in the bath and it's being described as blood having gotten all over here, even up to her chest area. How? It was blood on the floor. Unless she fell down and rolled all over it, there is no reason for it to have made it -all- over her.
* Lastly, just a small thing....but we're never told how/why/when/anything about why they are called The Ravens. Like I know they formed a mini gang with their little family but....there's just no explanation for this and that kinda bugs me.

As I've read works written after this by the author and can attest that her writing has improved greatly from this piece I'm giving it a lot of leniencies. Overall, I still am curious and interested in the story, but mostly about the large harem, so I'll continue the series to see how it goes. I have high hopes~

I had high hopes coming in for this book, but I just became more and more confused as the story progressed.

Vegas is a girl who is part of the Ravens. Not just a part but the leader. It’s made up of ten people, with Vegas and Lucida being the only girls. Lucida isn't a big part of the story though. In my opinion, Vegas is the leader in name only. Sure, she can lecture them like a mother sometimes, but they don't really listen to her. They will do what they want, especially when it involves her safety. Plus, they have been keeping major secrets from her. Anyway, they have formed an unofficial justice group that hunts the lawless. Their main priority is stopping laced drugs from hurting students that buy them. They know they can’t stop drug trafficking, but they can stop laced drugs from killing people. I thought this was going to be the main part of the story line, but it was kind of skimmed over. Not a lot of substance. I was halfway through the book and convinced it was simply a romance, but then there would be hints of something supernatural. Stalking and bombings randomly happened. You thought there was only one stalker, but then there is two? Then, something paranormal happens, and I'm so lost by this point. The entire book was so disjointed and didn't really flow in my opinion. I read the entire thing, and I honestly couldn't tell you what happened for certain.

This is a little different than most series in that the girl already knows and is close with all of the boys at the start of the book. It has a strong overprotective brothers vibe. Plus, they chase away any hope of romance she will ever have. Vegas loves all the boys, but she doesn’t think they like her in any sort of romantic capacity. The boys have isolated her completely because they have deemed her as theirs. They are just waiting to start something romantic til they think she is ready. If this wasn’t a book, it would be downright psychotic what these boys do. These guys will do anything for her, and I mean that literally. They have protected her from anything and everything without her knowing most of the lengths they have gone to for her. They have killed people for her! Does her love stop with the boys? No idea! It hinted that she reacts sexually to characters later introduced. Hahhh.

I just couldn't follow the main story line. The interactions between characters was odd to me, and I simply lost interest. This book was just not my cup of tea.

Raven Blood was strangling this weird line of not being PNR for the majority to suddenly being PNR for the last few pages like it's an abrupt no big deal shift just like the scene where a fucking bomb goes off in the cafeteria and in the next scene they are horny kissing outside like dude.

I get the gist of Vegas and her boys, what I don't see is her being the "leader" of this ragtag team of psychos. The guys are obsessed and bonkers for Vegas sure but she is mostly never on the forefront of the action and more like a nominal head with all of the guys doing things the way they think is right. Case in point, the whole keeping a big secret from her which in the end turns out to be a huge thing affecting everyone severely. She is not the powerful character the book is trying to portray if she doesn't have enough scenes to show it. The drug deal thing was left unexplored and more like a thing used to bring the PNR elements later on. The stalker plot was more or less used to showcase the intense feels from the harem.

Vegas as a character doesn't offer much personality and it's probably hard to spend time on adding depth to characters when there are so many to be included. I think the harem is made of 8 guys and maybe more towards the end? It's hard to keep track with so many dudes gaga over Vegas.

There wasn't a cohesive flow from normal to paranormal or even switch in balancing part to show that transition occur slowly. The things mentioned towards the end are intriguing though tempting me to try out the next book.
