My go to author whenever I need a hot, sexy but quick read. This is another book that can be read in one setting but does not skip on a good storyline in addition to the spicy sex scenes. In this book we find a another strong female character in Tillie who has been widowed by the fighting that sent men, women and families scrambling to find a settlement where they could regain some semblance of the life they all left behind when war broke out. Henry is a member of the security team that protects the community and the two have had a crush on each other but have yet to act on their feelings. Christmas Eve holds several surprises for the community as well as for Henry and Tillie when they are attacked but there is also a chance at new beginnings. Again, great quick steamy read that I know you will enjoy.

I really enjoyed this story. It was a sweet but also steamy love story about a widowed mother who was part of a small community that was put together during a time of chaos throughout the country. It was during Christmas time and she was worried about making her three kids happy this Christmas since their father had also died during the past year. She had a crush on Henry, one of the security team members that protected the community. It turned out, he had been thinking about her too. This story was short but steamy and ended happily which I love! I received a free ARC copy from the author and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

I have greenhouse experience but it sure doesn't begin to compare with Tillie's. NO spoiler. If you like a quick erotic read this with a bit of suspense this is just the book for you. I'd estimate that I read this book in about 30 minutes. I was steamy with a bit of angst which always grabs my attention. Elizabeth has truly made me a fan of short erotic stories. Each of these books could be read as stand alone but I would suggest you start with The Hunter and then The Doctor followed by this book. I makes the characters relationships clearer. I appreciate the setting for this series as it lends to the atmosphere of each encounter. I received an ARC copy of this book from the author.

This has a lot of story for such a short read. Well written. Hot and so steamy. Strong characters. Great plot. Crafty defense against intruders. Will be reading the other books in this entertaining series.

Curvy woman finds a new spark
I am loving the settlement series and this book is a wonderful addition (book 3)

The passion is scorching, and the danger is real. Could not put it down! I love how they are making the best out of their lives they have now.

Longer story needed

The storyline was good. It was an enjoyable quick read. The author could have made the book a little longer to be worth the price.
