I’m Willow and this is my life story...

Be warned, there will be plenty of awkward moments. The most humiliating happen to be with my mother.

She’s a goddess who is determined to get me laid. What extent will my mother go to to achieve her goal? The gods only know…

Oh and let’s not forget...zombies, a chupacabra and my ex-boyfriend are also part of the fun.

Goddess help me, what more can go wrong? Wait no! Mom, I meant goddess in general, not you specifically.

Willow is a standalone paranormal reverse harem romance. It’s part of the Silver Springs shared universe and can be read in any order.

When I was a high school girl, I was also a Greek Mythology nerd. I was about 12 when I read all the myths and sagas for the first time, falling in love with the drama of the Gods, the tragic stories of the heroes and the fatal faiths of the mortals. I even graduated with a big project where I turned the Greek Mythology into a game of Trivia with main stories and general questions that needed to be answered to gain points.

The moment I discovered that this book was based on Greek Mythology I was already sold. When I figured out that it had Hades, and not the villain version of him, in it I knew I wanted to read more books set in this world and mythology. Even though it's a short read and we don't see much of the world, the underworld and how everything works, I liked how Gray clearly knew her history and mythology. It felt right. It fitted with how I imagined all of this, this world, these characters, all those years ever since I was 12 years old.

On top of that I had a huge click with Willow. Willow and I have a lot in common, when it comes to how we deal with love and heartbreak and with guys. I share her awkwardness, just like her I like to think that I know what others think about me (newsflash: We both don't) and we're both very sensitive, so when our hearts break they shatter. Willow's thought process and inner monologue was on top of that really funny and natural and I especially loved all the moments she spent with her mom, who was surprisingly involved and also did care a lot about Willow, especially because they were quite uncomfortable for Willow.

And, to make the book even better, Willow had three amazing guys I also instantly fell in love with. Even though we don't even get to know them that well, I instantly liked them because their true colors seemed to shine through immediately. And even though they were all slightly different, they shared huge hearts and loads of love for an amazing girl. I liked how they talked and listened and believed in her. I liked how they never made her feel less or incapable. It was the purest and best form of love.

And it looks like the next girl and I might have a click too (does it show how much I love this series and these authors?), so I can't wait to properly meet Tiger Lily.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! It was fun, quirky, sexy, unique and so much more! There were so many great laugh-out-loud moments that had me falling even more in love with this story, because who doesn’t need a good cathartic laugh?!?

I really enjoyed Willow. She was fun, quirky, introverted and shy occasionally and bold and brave the next. She has such a kind soul that flowed from the pages which made me absolutely love her.

Then there were Willow’s gentleman. Drayce, Thane and Killian. I mean, these men had it all! Gorgeous, sexy, generous, loving, protective. And the chemistry between them and Willow was off the charts!

This was such a fun book and I’m so glad I read it! There was so much to love about it that I truly can’t recommend this fun short read enough to everyone!

One of the ones I was looking forward to because yay gods and demigods. It was entertaining awkward fun but the book felt like an introduction and the ending before the epilogue was pretty much a cliffhanger. I liked Willow, although she has some serious issues and needs magic help stat.

The guys didn’t feel all that special. It was pretty Thane heavy for obvious reasons. One minute they’re all jealous and the next it’s all okay and they’re a harem. There wasn’t really a question or dilemma about being with all of them.

The culprit is one of those obvious ones but still entertaining to see it play out. Not much given away in the blurb so pretty much all of it is a surprise.

Fun read

Willows mother is determined to get her daughter laid one way or the other. After buying her dildoes and making her promise a review of them she leaves on vacation. Thinking nothing could be worse her magic goes wonky and she meets three very different men who all claim to be her mates

As a mother, I can imagine meddling in my daughters' lives but hopefully not to the extent that Willow endures. I love Willow and how she made me laugh out loud, then add in her crazy mates and wow, I couldn't quit laughing or put the book down.

Let's start from the blurb. How does that not make you dive into the book instantly?

"Goddess help me. Wait no...mom, I meant Goddess in general, not you specifically."

As you might have already understood, Willow is the daughter of a very busybody goddess too interested in her daughter's sex life. She's shy and introvert and awkward at times. Drayce (dragon), Thane (god) and Killian (reaper) help her coming out of her shell and protect her when Hades accuses her of being the reason why zombies are raising in Silver Springs. I loved the first half of the book, but I felt like in the second half the mystery, especially when we figure out her mom's involvement, was too easily resolved and too cliché. The ending disappointed me.

I was kindly provided with an ARC by the author, but I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.

I actually started reading all of the Silver Springs books backwards. I had been given a ARC of first Tiger Lily and then Willow. I read Tiger Lily and I was hooked!!!!

I went to Willow and definitely knew I had to purchase the series in it's entirety! Willow's a Demigoddess with ties to the Underworld, but her magic is a little bit on the wonky side. Because of this she broke up with her original true love and one of her Mates Thane or Thanatos God of Death. She moved to Silver Springs, and met with Calluna from Beastie Besties, became friends with Dahlia who gave her the book that started it all, and ended up meeting a dragon shifter turned chupacabra named Drayce, and a Reaper named Killian.

After Willow's goddess mother takes her on a trip of shopping around town, with it ending at the Rooster and Willow's mom buying her some "toys" from Juniper and her rather randy pirate Sammy. Hectate decides to do a little trick or too, as she knows about the spell that is on Love Blooms even though Willow doesn't.

The first of the mates for Willow literally falls out of the sky in front of her car with Drayce, but what Willow finds is what appears to be a butt ugly dog which she takes home and heals. What Willow wakes up to the next morning is something completely different. A hot, hard, sexy Drayce, curled up around her in nothing but a smile and Mika hiding somewhere in the house.

They figure out that a spell changed Drayce and has apparently taken away his dragon form, so they head to Willow's shop to see if maybe they can find out what's going on. What Willow finds out is that apparently the Dead are walking as the town conspiracy theorist tells Drayce and Willow that he saw one of the town's recently departed riding her bike the night before.

This causes Willow and then Drayce to check out the local cemetery that night and this is where she not only runs into Killian, whom she knocks out, and Thane who knocks her on her butt because she still loves him. Things happen and the men figure out that they are all Willow's mates. Then the big guy down stairs finds out the dead are not just walking but dancing as well on earth and blames it on Willow and her men.

With only 48 hours to find out the truth on what's caused the dead to rise, it's a race against the clock for Willow, Thane, and Drayce to find answers even as they try and save Killian from his own punishment.

Willow finds out who the trouble maker was, and it turns out to be a surprise for that, but is able to get things fixed. Killian is released, and these four lovers finally find their happily ever after!!

I absolutely LOVED Willow's story, so much so that I read and purchased the entire Spelled Library and also all of Jewel's Cafe books to be able to know the back stories for everyone in the books. This is a standalone book, but reading the entire series gives you a much better understanding on Love Blooms, and the pumpkin spice latte stories hidden throughout!!! If I could give this book more than 5 * I would and in a heart beat!

What path will Willow take?

This is the first book I have read by Elena Gray and let me say I loved it. So I never imagined to have a demi god in Silver Springs. So we get to meet Willow. Willow is soft at heart, sweet and always helping if needed. However she is dealing with her own pain. It was sad because she has the support of her parents who have lifted her self esteem but it seems to not be enough. So when she reads Love Blooms she knows that there is more to the book than just a story. Well then the weird started to happen. What will be put in her path? What is it with the zombies? What does she have to do with zombies? That is quite interesting seeing that what she can do is why she decided to let go of the man she loves. Never fear though Drayce, Killian and Thane will show up when she doesn't expect it. So be prepared for a few laughs, excitement, and mystery. All my favorite combos. We do get a happily ever after.

Fun series of stand alone books in a shared universe with a little bit of character cross over.

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.

4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.

5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.

Absolutely loved this book

I am still loving the Silver springs library series, each book adds more depth to the town of silver springs, I would really love to to be able to loose myself for a few days in this town.
Willow has had a turbulent few months, her relationship with her love ending, an interfering mum and her magic on the blink she is at the end of her tether.
When she is given the book to read she has no idea what spell is on it she just knows changes are coming her way.
She finds her 3 mates and a possible zombie apocalypse, just a typical week in silver springs. Cannot wait for the next book in this great series.

So funny!

I really do love this series, I love that they are standalones and can be read in any order. I've read a few of the books in the series and though they are all written by different authors they are all equally amazing. My standout scene from this book is easily captain dildo (you'll have to read it to find out what that's about) I felt willows mortification through the book. It was nice having her mum as part of the book too, a mum with no filter just screams trouble. Very refreshing and lighthearted.

A must read

I absolutely loved this book. Every time I read a book by Elena I know that I am going to laugh, fall in love and have a great time and this book is no different. Willow is such a fun girl and the relationship with her mother is priceless.
Once I started reading this I could not put it down. And the guys? Each one is totally drool worthy. Willow is a great addition to Silver Springs and I hope to see more from her

Willow was a great addition to the Silver Springs Library. She is funny and sarcastic even in front of the God Hades
Her mother we will say is somethings else she has to deal with.
Her characters are real and face real problems that you can identify with chuckle and end up nodding to yourself.
I literally laughed out loud and my spouse just looks up and know its a book.

Enjoy the read as i don't want to give any spoilers away

This was excellent and so funny!

I loved Willow! She is so adorable and sweet. Her guys are perfect! Especially Killian! Way to stand up for your girl! Loved that! He is my favorite. I’m not sure I could handle Hecate, but at least she is a well meaning mom. There is a lot going on here, a lot of meddling, a lot of trying to figure it all out and hopefully there might be more Willow down the line.

Don’t Upset the Gods

Poor Willow. Dry spells, wonky magic, and a loving but meddling mother. What does this recipe for disaster spell? Hijinks and adventure in Silver Springs of course!

Willow’s journey is fast-paced and a fast burn that will move you from anxiety-ridden dogs to zombies to pissed off gods threatening big time things. In the midst, Willow finds some very unexpected things...

Mom will solve all your problems

Willow is a demigod who has a meddling mother who just wants her daughter to find love. Like some moms....she might have gone alittle overboard.

Willow is still going through heartbreak after breaking up with her ex. Then things start to get alittle weird....like zombie weird. She has to solve what is happening in silver springs before she pays the consequences. With the help of some friends 😉 can she do it in time or will she answer to Hades.

Laugh out loud funny and sweetly romantic

This book had me laughing pretty much the whole way through. I can't decide who my favorite character was but I'm leaning toward Willows mom. The men are swoon worthy and the action is engaging. Not super steamy but I have hope for a sequel where all of her men will beat up the pages. This was a great romcom and paranormal TH just made it better.

Intriguing Harem Read

Willow is a demigod who also fails at necromancy. Her mother is the Goddess Hecate who is the Goddess of death. She meets her mates along the way who are....Drayce a Dragon shifter, Thane who is the God of Death (Thanatos) and Lillian who is a Reaper. Then at the end of the story Hades tells them several things that they need to help him with. So that leaves a cliffhanger.

Fun, too fast read

I would give this an extra star if it wasn't for the repeated "time passes" thing. Most chapters start with a time skip. I would rather read a description of the time passing instead of "three days later," etc.

Otherwise it was a fun romp. The heroine is fun, her mom is hilarious (makes me think of my own irreverent mother), her hell-dog is adorable, the guys are lovely. It just felt way too fast. The story was fabulous, I just wanted...more depth.

This Is A ‘Thriller!’

I adored this book as part of the Spell Library series!

Poor Willow needed to learn that she is more than she thinks, and her Underworld men help her learn that in a fine way. Once she gets out of her own way, she (with the help of some others) learns how to appreciate the love that is being shared with her!

And zombies never look the same again! ;)

What a 'Thriller'......(hehehe)

I literally LoL'd and my family thought I was nuts! A self conscious goddess embarrassed by one of her powers running from the guy she loves with a hellhound mutt with anxiety issues and meddling Mom.......what a great combo! I look forward to what the gang gets up to if there is a sequel.

MARVELOUS!

This story was pretty cool. I loved the the idea of the meddling, but with good intentions mother. I am a mother and would never, crossing fingers, do that too my daughter. I also really loved how her mates stood by her and tried to protect her. Great story, well written and a pretty fast read.

I loved how the mother dragged her in to the store lmao. I would have had the same reactions. Im actually curious what her hellhound was mixed with lol.
