Neesha and Christian's rekindled flame burns hotter even as her stay in the country places the royal family at odds with the American government.

: KNIGHT OF IRONDALE by JL Woodson is the seventh instalment in the multi-authored, multi-cultural KNIGHTS OF THE CASTLE romance series. This is Americans Christian Vidal, and teacher Neesha Carpenter’s second chance story line. Christian Vidal is the new Sheikha’s American nephew.

Told from several third person perspectives including Neesha and Christian, using present day and memories from the past, KNIGHT OF IRONDALE follows the rekindling romance and relationship between Americans Christian Vidal, and teacher Neesha Carpenter. Neesha Carpenter’s ex-boyfriend will not leave her alone but the offer to teach in the Middle East principality of Durabia is the perfect escape from what ails her back home. Waiting for her plane, Neesha will discover she is the number one suspect in the shooting of her ex boyfriend James, a shooting of which she knows nothing about. To her surprise, her childhood sweetheart Christian Vidal will also be working in the country of Durabia, and has a private plane on standby to sweep our couple to their next destination. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between Neesha and Christian, and the potential fall-out as some powerful people back home have pulled some strings, and Neesha is about to come face to face with her broken past.

The relationship between Neesha and Christian is a rebuilding romance; a second chance, rekindling relationship wherein Christian will become lover and guardian of the woman he has never stopped loving. With the help of the Kings of the Castle, and some of the Knights, Neesha’s rescue ends with a proposal of marriage but lives will be lost in the fight for control. The lone $ex scene is intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Neesha’s ex boyfriend James Ward, and his brother Phillip; Neesha’s mother Sandy Carpenter, as well as several of the Kings and Knights of the Castle.

KNIGHT OF IRONDALE is a story of power and control; of obsession and infatuation; power and control; romance, second chances and love. The premise is intriguing and riveting; the romance is seductive; the characters are colorful and dynamic.

I will add, that I wonder how a life in a racist, sexist, misogynistic and virtually lawless country is safer for a woman who is on the run, trying to escape a dangerous past?

First off I want to thank the publisher Macro Publishing Group as well as the authors for inviting me to read and review it as well as letting me go on with the series and a big thanks NetGalley as well for letting me read it and review. I do have to each time I read a book in this series it just keeps getting better and better , the characters just jump right off the page and the topics are one that need to be talked about, the authors does it in a way that they don't push it in your face but let you know what is going on and bring it to life as well so it not just in the shadows like a lot of people want it to be, this story was action packed, heart dropping and page turning just like the others but I would have to say it was more then that because it bright to life the topic of stalking , and how dangerous it is and how hopeless the victim can feel, but it also hit home , I've never been stalked but I did have a friend who was and sadly it didn't work out the best for her. This book had me on edge of my sit the entire time, and had me asking myself the question who else would want Neesha's ex dead and why and why would they go as far as they did? And it also brought up the question as to what can we do to make the stalking laws stronger or change the ones that need to change, and how can there be places set up to help the stalking victim because a lot of time they hear the same thing that the police can't do anything until the stalker does something and some times even that is to late. So what else can I say about this book to make you pick it up, just this that this story just like the other books will take you on a journey with amazing characters and make you wonder what is going to happen next and it won't let you put it down until the very last page.

Knight of Irondale by J.L. Woodson, co-authored with Naleighna Kai and Martha Kennerson, is book seven of the nine book Knights of the Castle series. This series is a spinoff of the Kings of the Castle series. The books in both series are standalones penned by various authors and can be read in any order.

Christian Vidal, nephew of the Durabian Sheikha, has accepted the job of Durabian brand ambassador and is eager to begin his duties, until he runs into his old flame.

Neesha Carpenter is moving to Durabia to replace her friend as a teacher and to escape her abusive ex-boyfriend, when she encounters a past love at the airport and is sent reeling into her past.

Woodson, Kai, and Kennerson add another seamless collaboration to this exceptional series. Though each novel is a standalone, continuity is maintained with the series. The plot, characters, and dialogue are all excellent. The second chance romance is heartwarming while the romantic suspense is heart-stopping. Together they’re page-turning. Knight of Irondale is a 5 out of 5 stars read that I highly recommend to all readers of romantic suspense and multicultural romance.

My thanks to Independent Publishers Group and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. However, the opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine and mine alone.

Neesha finds herself in a tough situation when she tries to end a relationship with a man who doesn’t know the meaning of the word ‘no.’ As with the ripped from the headline scenarios, her ex is relentless and does everything to get in her way when all she wants is to escape their hellacious relationship. In a desperate move, she puts herself out of his reach, but James isn’t having any of that and takes his vendetta abroad.

Christian Vidal is her loving Knight, handsome, protective, and willing to do anything to ensure Neesha is shielded from her stalker. The suspense, intricate plot, touches of humor, and the love between Christian and Neesha made this is a great read.

Knight of Irondale is another fitting addition to the Knights of the Castle series.

Christian and Neesha's storyline, though fiction, dealt with several real-life issues: Abuse, stalking, ex-partners who do not understand the word no, and are unwilling to let go is real. Police corruption and the increase of crimes, especially against women and the elderly are real. Being black in a country that doesn't respect or value your life is real.
This story was also a beautiful depiction of love and mutual respect. I enjoyed the positive portrayal of Christian. There are many strong, intelligent, and successful black men around who got there by their bootstraps and continually reach back to help others succeed. There are also men who know how to love, cherish, and protect their woman,
without clipping her wings or being a control freak.

Although the author hasn't written a book in over 15 years, when he was a young teenager, this story shows that he still has the chops to pull this off. I could see a lot of the author in the main character, as well as others in this story. The story line was intriguing and interesting and I loved this story. Not to mention although the story tackled some tough topics, the story line was just phenomenal. This was such a great, suspenseful romantic read. I loved the story.

Running to royalty

An incredible well written story. I couldn’t put the book down because I wanted to see how Neisha would get away from her crazy ex. Thank authors made it so plain for us all to see how women are treated and how they should be treated. They also painted a picture so beautiful that I want to visit this country, Durabia.

Once again, great writing. The characters were awesome, and I appreciate the lack of colorism. Great writing knows how to help you know who people are without the nonsense. Well, I will be beginning my last book. I am going to miss this series!

This is book # 7 in the Knight series just 2 more to go. Thus far this has been an awesome series. I sure hope that Naleighna Kai and her tribe has another book series waiting in the wings.

J.L. Woodson is a new author to me, he did a fantastic job with the characters and I do look forward to reading more from him. Martha Kennerson, is not new to me in fact I read “The Blake Sisters”, “The Kingsleys of Texas”, and “King Of Lincoln” book # 7 in the Kings of the castle series. I must say Martha has written some great books.

This book had me on the edge of my seat and not waiting any harm to come Neesha and Christian. Christian is a of Shieka Ellena, Blair, Amanda who we met in the previous King of the Castle and Knight books.

Neesha has an ex-boy friend who will not take for an answer nor will he leave her alone begins stalking. Neesha is offered a teaching position in Durabia. Neesha’s ex James is killed and some how she is the prime suspect.

Neesha and Christian were once sweethearts and of course when he finds out is all to happy to help her. Christian can’t safe her alone. It’s good that he has friends in high places “The Kings Of the Castle”.
This love story is awesome where Christian and Neesha rekindle the past.

I recommend not only “The Knight Of Irondale” but all the books in this series, you will not be disappointment. So surf right on over to Amazon and/ Barnes and Noble and one click your copy today.

Thank you Naleighna Kai, Marco Publishing Group and Netgalley for a ARC of “Knight of Irondale”.

Knight of Irondale is the 7th installment in the Knights of the Castle series. With this one, we journey with Neesha Carpenter and Christian Vidal.

Neesha can't seem to shake her stalker ex-boyfriend. He is dangerously obsessed with her and would stop at nothing to have her back to himself. When Neesha decides to take an assignment in Durabia to evade James, he becomes desperate, and things turn criminal.

Christian has been offered a job in Durabia, working with the Royal family and reunite with his aunt Sheikha Ellena. When he sees Neesha in the airport, he sees it as a second chance with her.

Neesha's ex implicates her as having shot him. When the Police come to the airport to detain her, it's Christian's quick thinking that aided in getting them in the air and en route to Durabia.

The peace didn't last that long when James brings the drama to Durabia. Once again, the Kings and Knights must band together, taking care of whatever trouble brought against to their family and friends. Christian is determined to not let this second chance be interrupted again.

If you are following this series, you are probably enjoying these alpha men in action.

Knight of Irondale is a part of the Knights of the Castle series. Though it’s slated as a series read, it is a standalone with no cliffhangers; as are all of the books in the series written by various authors.

Knight of Irondale takes us on a journey of young love that never had the opportunity to truly flourish, but when love is in the cards, it will find its way back home. In the midst of this unlikely reunion, the story also examines what happens when people get tied up in false love based off who they believe is a “good catch”due to their status in life. Everyone isn’t always as they seem and “crazy” can be bred in people from all walks of life.

Thrust into a new life, in a new country with a new rekindling love, and coming off the heels of an abusive relationship with legal allegations to boot, Neesha doesn’t quite know if and who she can trust; not even the true love her life, Christian.

Then again, can Christian trust Neesha’s story and her motives?

Aside from the controversy behind Neesha’s life, Christian and the entire royal family must team up against the treacherous “overthrowers” of the new Durabian government not only to stop their evil international schemes, but to once and for all, solidify their standing as the new and improved regime in Durabia.

The author masterfully weaves us into the hearts of Christian and Neesha while shedding light on the ultimate levels of the wicked mindset of abusers and the lengths they will go to control a person and exact revenge.

Knight of Irondale is a 4 star. While Christian and Neesha’s love shone through in the midst of the turmoil, it would have been a better build up to have Christian reflect on his love for Neesha before he was pushed into the whirlwind of her new life. The action in this book did provide a kick of octane, but it would’ve been thrilling to ramp it up more with the the face off between the royals and the traitors. At times, the over explanation of certain aspects took away from the ability to get lost in the book and allow the reader to simply journey with the story. Despite those elements, the author crafted a successful novel that was a highly intriguing and enjoyable read.
