Garrison Brothers #2

Flawlessly Flawed

Rate this book
Bounty hunter T Garrison is a foul-mouthed, arrogant womanizer and makes no apologies for it. He is who he is. Stemming from a harsh past, his loyalty and love is reserved for his family and those closest to him. When it comes to women, T keeps them at a safe distance. No love, no romance, no forever. But even the mighty fall, and as T finds out, sometimes they fall for the least likely girl. Event planner Cassie Miller is a quirky, sweet oddball who embraces her weirdness and makes no apologies for it. She is who she is. Stuck in a job she loves with a boss she hates and a roommate with psychotic tendencies, Cassie is at the end of her patience and on the edge of snapping. Love is the last thing on her radar until she crosses paths with a brooding, rude, scary-as-hell man who changes everything. When T’s job intertwines with Cassie’s life, these two are about to find out that sometimes opposites really do attract; however, it’s not exactly love at first sight. Loathe at first sight? Their amusing back and forth banter turns into a dangerous scenario when Cassie inadvertently becomes the target of the man T is trying to capture. Keeping her safe becomes his new assignment. Between T’s conflicting feelings for a woman who is all wrong for him and Cassie’s frustration with a man who she’s not sure if she wants to kiss or throat punch, the ride towards a happily ever after is sure to be bumpy.

Amelia Shea writes contemporary romance. She released her debut novel in 2015, and has followed her passion for series romance ever since. Her writing style includes a little sweet, a little sassy and lots of steam. She loves building stories with settings that become comfortable and familiar, and developing characters who feel real, and though they may be flawed, they learn and grow, and finally deserve a happy ending. When she is not writing, she is obsessed with reading (all genres although she does has a soft spot for romance), coffee (it's more of an addiction but she prefers obsession) and perfecting her "y'all" (just a northern girl living in the south).

The first one was so much better. Mediocre. The premise was awesome, but the execution was very weak. The characters and set-up was all there, but the author did not accomplish what I feel she wanted to with the story. My opinion. You can take it with a grain of salt.

Bounty Hunter T Garrison is the one that is proverbially sleeping with the enemy in order to get his skip. T could care less about the woman he is spending time with, her roommate though is another matter altogether. Cassie Miller doesn't know that the person she lives with is a means to an end for T. She sees the sexiest man she has ever met but he is rude, scary and doesn't seem to be interested in her. That is until Cassie unwillingly becomes a target to the man they are trying to get. Now she is with T and she begins to see a different side of him altogether. Can this beauty tame the beast in T?

Out of all the brothers T is the most foul tempered and curt to boot but he is the one I was looking forward to his story the most. I really liked this one and Cassie is adorable. She is a terrific character, one of my favorites from this author. Highly entertaining.

It’s good to read literary fiction and all book genres but sometimes it’s a whole bunch of fun to read sweaty, steamy, and fun romance lit. I have learned that not all authors are great in this specific genre but I liked this one a lot. Sweet and feisty Cassie mixes well with hard-as-nails Teagen. Super enjoyable and...sexy. Yippy.

Good read with strange main couple

The story was good and full. This book is part of a series, so it’s the next step. The couple for this book are T and Cassie. Both are good people. T has a problem with his past, but really, it seems he has conquered his pain. Yes, he is hard core but he is a bounty hunter and has to be tough to make a living. Cassie, on the other hand, is just odd, she does have a kind heart. Once her and T get together things are great. There is a drug seller and user on the loose, and the guys are trying to locate him expeditiously. Cassie through her roommate, is involved yet Cassie doesn’t think she is any danger so the second half of the book, she just spends making poor decisions, surrounding her safer.it’s so frustrating for T, and for me as the reader. I get being nice but Cassie taking reckless chances, putting herself in front of the danger, and having to say sorry because she didn’t think about her own safety is lame. Read On!

DNF.

I had hopes for this book despite the questionable introduction. Rats, poop, can’t find her keys, despite standing outside her door why does she not have them ready in her hand when there are rats in her hallway that could be running over her feet?!

But this was all nothing compared to where the book was going. And we all know it was going to be a hook up between our main characters however, I don’t want to read a book where she ends up with the guy who is boinking her roommate. Ewww. That is a little too close to home for me.

Perfection

I so enjoyed this little romance. It has, action, drama, and lots of sassy commentary as the couple get their HEA. This one has no cheating, no cliffhanger. Highly recommend.

loved this story!! T’s story was awesome

T’s story was heartbreaking, awesome, and heartwarming. Glad the journey brought him a love and family he more than deserved and never expected; and it took someone special like Cassie to break thru the walls. Love this series.

Flawless Flawed ( Garrison brothers book 2)

T had a horrible abusive childhood until he was adopted by a wonderful couple. T meets Cassie tries to hide his feelings for this woman. The novel was interesting and heartbreaking.

Good read. Loved the characters. I like the way the book was a little dangerous without making it a stressful book to read.

DNF 55%. Maybe I’ll try again another time but T’s hot and cold was tiring and the back and forth got so boring.

If you like your Heroes to be major A**holes then this is the book for you!

Cassie meets T when he comes to her apartment as her roomate's boyfriend. They have a very active sex life and the walls are thin. Poor Cassie has to listen to them going at it over and over and it's driving her crazy because T is a very sexy man.

T is a man-whore extraordinaire and is working undercover and part of his job is to sleep with Tina actively and often. He really doesn't want to be doing it but it's part of the job. (Awww, poor T, taking one for the team...*eyeroll*) He doesn't care about women and to him sex is just sex. But he is really mean to Cassie and rubs her nose in the fact that he knows she likes him. He knows she's a "good girl" and will want more than he can give.

With all this OW drama and T being so "in your face" about it I was tempted to quit this book. It seriously gives me a stomach ache to think about what poor Cassie is going through. But T had his sweet moments and he started to grow on me. And at a certain point, I started to think to myself, "If Cassie doesn't care about this why should I?" I usually put myself in the place of the h in my romances but in this book I had to change my POV and just read it as an outside observer and that's when I really started to enjoy Cassie's story.

T has his reasons for being the way he is and when he decides to go after Cassie, you can see that he is a changed man and that he has saved some special things just for the woman he loves. I think it's the writing that made it possible for a character like T to win me over completely. I really really liked these characters and this book. Cassie may have reacted differently than I would but I enjoyed reading about her story. She was so good for T and they made a great couple. And this book has some seriously smexy times! Yowza!

The only criticism I have of this book is that the price of $6.99 for an ebook is a little pricey.
