Death casts its shadow as Constable Odo searches for truth amid a web of treachery and lies. Everyone on the Promanade has a motive for this murder, be it vengeance, justice... or old-fashioned greed. Legendary Star Trek scribes Scott Tipton and David Tipton team with noir artist Greg Scott for the first Deep Space Nine comic book series in a decade!
There is an explosion on the promenade and Odo investigates. The style and art of the story is very film noir which really appeals. It is set in the shows 6th season during the dominion war and we see the story primarily through Odo with nifty investigation logs of the case’s progress sprinkled throughout. Would highly recommend 👍
Hate to review these issues as separate books rather than one full graphic novel, but I only have the first two in the series so far, so what are you gonna do. A good start even though I noticed a couple things that seemed off from the tone of the show.
Good, not great. The biggest thing missing from a first issue in this case is why I care about any of this if I haven’t been a fan of or knowledgeable about DS9. A cool premise, but nothing revolutionary or even very different. 3 and a quarter stars.
