As far back as I can remember all I’ve known is war and pain and death.
My mother always told me our people came into this world fighting and went out the same way. Only, something inside me died along the way; the desire for victory and destruction is no longer my muse.
Lost, I returned to the only place that felt like home since my own was destroyed long ago. And that’s when it happened. When she happened.
Raven hair and emerald eyes that hardened and melted me with one look. Lush hips and womanly curves called for me to do something I’d never before considered: make her mine, bind her to me, and I don’t even yet know her name. Her youth deserves better than a scarred monster ravaged from years of battle.
Still, deep down I know she is my destiny. But, when cruel secrets and painful history come to tear us apart, I find my true purpose. To settle old debts. To lay waste to those that wish to harm her. To secure that which was stolen from her. To topple kingdoms to keep her.
Forever. No matter the bloodshed.
Readers: Fall into the first standalone in the Fated Royals series by Dani Wyatt and Nikolai Andrew. It’s a mix of modern with a historical, devious vibe that will leave you smelling the thistle and reaching for a cool mug of ale. It’s a Kindle melting story with villains and victory. Safe with no cheating, and always a happily ever after.
Since I was a little girl, I’ve made up stories. I would lay in my bed at night and before I knew what a trope was, I would make up these trope filled stories. Boy sees girl, boys falls for girl, boy saves girl….happily ever after. As I got older, the stories turned steamier and more intricate, but the basics never changed.
Now, my books are still full of romance but the naughty bits are naughtier, my hero’s are obsessed alpha types and my heroines are quirky, real women who come in all shapes and sizes.
So, sit back, banish the real world and get lost in some over the top romance with a heaping helping of hot. xoxoxo
Great start to a new series. We have a fierce warrior hero and a sweet heroine. Bors falls for sara at first sight, as does she. They fight to be together among all their troubles. But after finding out the truth about Sara can they find their happily ever after?
Great read with a whole lot of steam with the most dedicated hero. I can't wait for more.
The Stolen Princess (Fated Royals #1) by Dani Wyatt & Nikolai Andrew
HERO - Bors MacDonald. Warrior of the clan Mackay. Long-ish dark hair, dark brown eyes. Burly. Scars on his face and body.
HEROINE - Sara. Raised a commoner, revealed to be the lost princess. Black hair down to her hips, emerald eyes. Barely chest-height to Bors.
OVERALL THOUGHTS - This was a really well-written story. Every setting was described just enough that I could picture it all clearly. The chemistry between Bors and Sara was smoking hot. The middle felt a little bogged down in places, but the beginning and ending kept me enthralled. There were solutions that came about a little conveniently, but I imagine it was for the sake of brevity.
For a story called The Stolen Princess, the princess part came much later in the book than I thought it would. At one point, I thought it was going to end up being a nickname or something. You know, like she’s his princess, not an actual one. But nope, that part of the plot showed up eventually. When it did, I thought we’d get more reaction to her learning she’s royalty, but she seemed to really take it in stride. I also thought her mother, the deceased Queen, would be more important. I don’t even remember if we learned her name.
This book contains a lot of violence, including to the heroine (more info under the spoiler tag below). I could have done without quite so many of certain types of scenes involving Sara. I don’t know if I’d read this again and that’s partly why. It was a great journey, though, so maybe one day in the future.
This was such an intriguing read! So close to Dani Wyatt's style and yet a bit different, the whole book is a statement of Dani and Nikolai's collaboration, I'm grateful to have received an advanced copy of this book. The Stolen Princess is the story of Sara, a poor girl who meets the men of her dreams (literally), a warrior who claims her and discovers more than she knew herself about her, all while loving her and keeping her safe. What's beautiful about this book is the unexpected turn of events and the development of their relationship, the intimacy the hero and the heroine have is so precious and playful, peppered with a lot of growly, possessive moments. What was a minus for me was the fact that at times, the story gets a little dark, when the heroine is attacked, but I guess the fantasy time and place of the book asks for this. This scenes, however, are very few, not enough to make out of this a dark read. I loved the little fairytale tropes sprinkles so originally and Sara's transformation, still keeping her kind heart and her love for Bors and his protective nature that is palpable in every page.
The Stolen Princess (Fated Royals Book 1) by Nikolai Andrew and Dani Wyatt is a surprisingly deep romp with hot romance, mystery, and a bit of suspense thrown in. Very well developed characters and the start of a new setting that is historical but feels modern at the same time. The heroine is both lovable and resourceful. The hero is resolute and a bit wicked. Just enough spice to warm up the story without going too overboard. Just when you think the story is going one way a surprise appears. You can really tell that a lot of time, energy, and creativity went into the first outing in this universe. Can’t wait for the next book. As always, you feel better at the end of the book than when you started, as with all Dani Wyatt books. The addition of Nikolai Andrew can only enhance the great writer that she is. This book was given as an ARC, and all opinions are my own regardless of how obtained.
If you have followed my reviews before, you know two things about me. 1. i adore Dani Wyatt and i hate spoilers. So i am going to go with how this story made me feel. I loved it, honestly, it was unputdownable for me. I was reading another book when this hit the shelves and i honestly one-clicked it without even reading the blurb. I don't need to, i know her writing style and love it. This story made me put down what i was reading before, ignore the dishes, the laundry and the kids that needed to be fed and devour it. I could not walk away. I even held my bladder. lol, Dani and Nikolai are a powerful team of dream weavers. Dani has always been a go-to, so getting Nikolai's voice was unique and honestly, it was hot. This was the perfect blend of fairytale and believability. Add in some incredibly hot scenes and it was just my perfect 11 book. Together they have now become my favorite writing team. Their Alpha Hero was over the top and super protective, just like i like em. A totally Dominate man whom i need in my life, and Sara was so on point, cute without being annoying. The way he brought her out of her shell was a thing of beauty and i adored it. I look forward to the next book this twosome comes up with. if i could give more than 5 stars, i would. Brand new one click must-have duo for me.
THE STOLEN PRINCESS is a beautifully written book about Bors and Sara , the stolen princess who had no idea about her true identity until this handome warrior saved her. Loved this book! It has a fairy tale feel to it but so intensely hot! I'm gonna be following this series of standalones.
I have received and read an advance copy of this book and this is a fair and honest review and recommendation voluntarily shared.
I was as impatient to get to the next chapter as the couple was to be together. But something told me that this young woman was more than just a poor farm girl. Enjoy reading about the alpha warrior also. He's yummy.
I absolutely love this story. It has made me very happy. Bors and Sara are amazing together. Their journey is adventurous, dangerous, and hot. The flow of this book is done well. I do recommend this book.
That i did not pay for this book! 3 pages and I couldn't handle another page. Yes it was that bad. The intent to molest your child. Will never read another book written by these authors!
I genuinely loved both H and h. He is tough, rough and strong but also sweet and adoring. She is sweet, loving and tries to be amenable.
☆“But once I ruin you, I promise I will put you back together, Sara. I will break you to make you whole.”
Let me start by saying that I don't write reviews often, normally just leave stars as my ratings. But this book, wow... it totally deserves a review. This book has it all.... Hot as heck sex scenes, mystery, and none of that awful back and forth resistance between the H and h.
☆"Her body said let me come, but my tongue told her not fucking yet."
It is told in dual POV which I lovvvve.
☆ "You’re going to bleed.” He whetted his lips and took a deep breath that made his abdominal muscles ripple and flex. “I want no apologies for making a mess of the sheets. Your maiden blood is gold to me.”
☆"I will never kiss another woman as long as I live. As our lips met, those words were seared into my brain. My heart. My soul. She was the one. I was her first kiss and she would be my last."
☆"I’ve saved nearly every penny I’ve earned. We will have plenty. Together, we can build the livery and have something strong enough to support us as we grow old. We will not be royalty, but I will treat you like my queen."
There are only 2 things I would change or ask for differently:
1. The cover- I like my reads to have hot sex scenes and plenty of them (and this one totally did), but the cover just threw me off.... I'm not sure why. I've had the book in my library for a while but kept putting off reading it because I really didn't think I'd enjoy it... But I enjoyed this book more then any I have read in the last 6 months. I would have loved to see a sexy warrior with scars as the cover instead, but, hey, that's just my hang up. You know what they say, don't judge a book by its cover.
2. I would have liked at least a small portion of the Epilogue in Bors POV, so we could see how happy he finally was.
This is my 1st book by Wyatt or Andrew, but it definitely won't be my last.

This romance is a case of love at first sight, though with her strict parents, she knew she'll probably never see him again, let alone becoming acquainted with him. He knew with that first look, that she was too good and pure for him. He tried pushing her away, but she had a pull on him, and he couldn't push her away. Her character has an inner strength. She is essentially a slave for her parents. Never getting the same care as her older siblings. Never getting the same benefits. She is an outcast within her own family. He has been to battle many times, and has the scars to prove it. He is a fighter, and she'll need that if they have any hope of having a future together. He may have the battle wounds, but he is also a good, dedicated person underneath the gruff exterior. He will do everything in his powers to make sure she is happy and safe, even if it means losing her in the end. Like the blurb states, this is a mix of historical and modern. (I didn't realize that going in and it made me question things until I realized it was intentional.) The ways of the world, and the laws made it clear this takes place long ago, but the language was quite modern. The story also has a Cinderella like feel to it. This is a steamy read with some graphic details. (Suitable for mature readers.) It is a heavy story with some violence. There are some twists and surprises. It alternates POVs.
I was given the opportunity to review this new series by Dani Wyatt and her new writing partner Nikolai Andrew. I am new to Dani's writing having been introduced to her earlier this year when she teamed up with another wonderful writer.
This book had it all! It had your happily ever after, it had some darker parts that could be triggers for some people. It had a historical aspect to it with a fairy tale twist!
In Stolen Princess you are told the tale of Sara and Bors. An older man and a young innocent girl, who meet at the village fountain and through a friend of Bors find a love that will be tested while sara finds the truth of who she really is. There is a surprise at the end of the story about two of the characters, which I am sure will be just as wonderful as Stolen Princess was. I can't wait and am truly looking forward to the next book in this series!
This writing team has now become one of my favorites! Congratulations on an awesome new series Dani Wyatt and Nikolai Andrew!
This debut novel by the writing duo Dani Wyatt and Nikolai Andrew had me hooked from the start! I was immediately invested and couldn't wait to find out more about and fall in love with Sara and Bors! The descriptors and the language draw you into that fairy tale landscape. The way the story and plot is woven together draws you into the fantastical world being presented on the page. The journey they travel is long, laborious, gritty, hot, dirty, and so much more, captivating you with each twist and turn of the road. Bors and his stoic dedication, Sara and her charming innocence. It's just so good! If you're looking for a fairy tale esque fantasy story with a deliciously dirty twist, look no further, and read The Stolen Princess!
I received this book in advance for a voluntary honest review. Great first installment in a new series by Nikolai Andrew and Dani Wyatt. There’s nothing better than a Daddy and his Baby Girl writing a book together. The story is about a peasant girl who lives with her horrible family and meets a mysterious warrior in the village that she is drawn too. Bors has lived a hard life of a warrior and wants to settle down and live his life building a horse stable. Once their eyes meet it truly is love at first sight but Bors does not want to spoil her innocence with his hardened life and roughness, little does he know that Sara wants everything he has to give. Dangerous men, a secret neither expected and a love that conquers all will have you done in one sitting.
This was an amazing book! I had a really hard time putting down. I loved Sara and Bors together. I think is book has a little bit of everything in it. The primal need that Sara and Bors have for each other was out of this world. I loved the sassiness that Sara came to have with Bors and how she drew to have a strong backbone instead of being naive and shy. Bors is completely and totally OTT alpha who finally found the one thing that he was missing even if he tried so hard to. I loved the twists and turns that this book took as well. I can't wait to see what these two terrific author come up with next!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Sara takes care of her family but the great her horribly, like she's worth less than them. Sara tries to make the best of her life but when she sees Bors for the first time she actually feels longing and like maybe she can have a family of her own. Bors is a warrior and has decided it's time to settle down and make a life with a widow maybe, he doesn't need love just someone to keep his bed warm and maybe give him a child or two. Then he sees Sara and his whole plan changes, she's too good for him but he just can't seem to think about any other woman. This is a great read and I highly recommend it!
This was fun to read, it was like a naughty Disney story. There were hints of Cinderella, Tangled, and Beauty and The Beast. Sara sees Bors one day in the village, they are both instantly attracted to one another. Bors is a hardened warrior and Sara a sheltered innocent. The sex between the two is sizzling hot. Poor Sara is constantly being attacked by men and Bors is there to rescue her some of the times, a few of the times Sara rescues herself, go Sara!! The big plot twist- Sara is the missing daughter of King Rowen. Palace intrigue and more men trying to rape Sara, a heroic rescue and a happily ever after. Epilogue with children and a happy kingdom.

WOW, just wow ! I didn’t know what to expect from the joining of these two authors but let me say I was blown away. I could hear Dani’s voice throughout this book but what Nikolai brought was an elevation I wasn’t expecting a raw and grittier feel. I am hooked and will 1- click anything they write together now! The emotional side of this story was so real I was completely enveloped by the characters and their struggles. I laughed, cried and man did I feel the intense heat!
This is an amazing read. We meet Sara and Bors. Bors is a soldier who believes he is getting to old to fight anymore, and he comes home to settle down and have his own livery. Sara is basically a "cinderella" when it comes to how her family treats her. Sara is such a strong character, and the way that she "handles" Bors is amazing. She knows what she wants, and isn't afraid to speak her mind. I loved how protective Bors was with Sara and I highly recommend this book. It is a great start to the series. I did received an arc for an honest review.
The Stolen Princess is the story of a young female living a very Cinderella lifestyle. She meets and instantly falls for a warrior of the kingdom. But what if life isn't what it was supposed to be?
If you look through my reviews you'll notice that I love Dani Wyatt, like totally love everything she ever writes. Now let's add in her partner Nikolai Andrew and you've got a combination that takes it somewhere else entirely. I cannot wait for more by this amazing duo!
With a hint of Cinderella this book had love at first sight and a missing Princess. Sara was raised by people who treated her like a slave. Along comes Bors who delivers her from slavery and discovers she is the missing Princess. But by this time they have fallen madly in love. Bors is fierce, a hardened warrior, and very protective of Sara. They have their HEA when the King makes him a Knight.Sara and Bors falling in love was sweet and the sex was HOT. Gave this book five stars because it was very entertaining.
Wow what a start to a series, I’m greedy I need more now!!!!.
Bors falls for Sara and she falls right back, it’s an instant connection, but life isn’t going to be easy and the love they share just might not be enough???
Dani and Nikolai as a writing duo are formidable and let’s face it bloody epic I think they share a lot of passion and that transfers to the page I literally can not wait for more.
This book has everything that you would expect from a Dani Wyatt book but the collaboration with Nikolai brings added depth to the story. The book was vivid and captivating. My heart bled for Sara's upbringing. I wanted to soothe Bors when dealing with his feelings on inadequacy. These characters took us on a journey and I didn't want it to end. I cannot wait for the next one in the series.
I have enjoyed Dani Wyatt's writing since the beginning as she has a way of writing steamy sweet goodness. This new book with a writing partner, Nikolai Andrew, has added a fair bit of grit to this story with very VERY strong traditional fairy tale flavors.
The romance is insta-love, insta steam with a more complex obstacle in the path of true love. It was a quick, fun, satisfying read. I am looking forward to Angelica's story as I thought she was a great secondary character.
When a warrior and a maiden meet eyes in the market, they're instantly smitten. Even her father standing in the way won't stop them from being together. But once he spots the royal birthmark, he recognizes that things will change. And it does, but not as he suspects and he has to protect her at any risk to himself. Such a great story, though many editing oversights. Cannot wait to see what happens next.
ARC review. Great first book in a new series by Nikolai Andrew and Dani Wyatt. I like the way their writing styles meshed. It was definitely instalove, instahot, and OTT but was longer and had more action/thriller than a typical Dani book. I was so invested in the story, I couldn't put it down until I finished. I'm looking forward to the next installment.
This was a beautiful read about Bors and Sara. The twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat. Bors tried so hard to fight the love of Sara but they were soul mates and couldn't be denied. I couldn't stop reading until I finished this wonderful, thrilling, sweet love story. What an awesome start to a great series and I can't wait to read more by this dynamic duo.
Took me awhile as there have been lots going on in real life. But this story was about Bors and Sara’s instalove. Sara has been mistreated her whole life by her family who we know is not her real family. She was kidnapped as a baby. Bors who was. Warrior and came home to settle down and start a new life when he happens upon Sara in the town village. Lots of drama. Cute story
Bors and Sara's story fall between fairytale and reality. A different approach to some known fairy tale stories, but it had everything: romance and mystery. Definitely looking forward to the next installment of this series. Great job Dani and Nikolai. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
