A wounded warrior wants to claim me as his mate...
For years I’ve lived alone in the deep woods, hiding my powers from the world. But when I meet a wounded wolf on a forest path, I can't bear his suffering. I call on my magic to heal him.

Then he follows me home and I find he’s no ordinary wolf. He’s a Berserker warrior, cursed long ago to become a ravening monster. His only hope: find the woman who can tame his beast.

Siebold thinks that woman is me.

But this handsome warrior doesn’t just want me to lift the curse. Siebold wants me. All of me. And he’ll possess me: body, soul, and heart.
Because nothing can stop a Berserker when he decides you’re his mate.

Siebold is a standalone warrior romance set in the Berserker world. You don’t need to read the rest of the Berserker books to enjoy this one, but Berserkers are like a box of chocolates: one taste and you want them all…

An enjoyable PNR book with a berserker who turns into a wolf and a powerful witch. Hero is very protective and possessive. Heroine is very independent and fights the hero's claim even as she accepts him into her home. Plot is focused on if the town will eventually come to kill the witch. It's a shorty but a goody.

The heroine is a witch, something she tries to keep secret from the nearby village. People cannot handle what they don’t understand. After witnessing her mothers brutal murder because of witchcraft, Meadhan vows to keep running and never letting on what she can do. After helping a wolf in the forest Meadhan never expects him to be a shifter or her mate. A fanatic priest tries to rile up the villagers against both of their “powers.” The two must work together to find their place in the world without hiding who they really are. There’s a lot more story here than the last book but it still made for a really quick read. Siebold instantly falls for Meadhan and his possessiveness threatens anyone who nears her. Looking for a quick savage romance, this will work-also a complete standalone with no connection to the other stories!

Holy Berserker! I have read every Berserker book by admittedly one of my favorite authors Lee Savino, but Siebold is hands down my favorite. Take a strong, independent, witch that shields herself from the world and you have Meadhan. Mix her with a viking berserker who is determined to protect her and make her his own, you have Siebold. Both characters were so well written, had emotional baggage, but undeniable chemistry. The book was the perfect mix of action, steam, twists, and tension. Well paced, great read, another awesome berserker tale.
I received an ARC and this is my totally honest review.

E ora torniamo a Siebold, povero cuore.

Gritty, Fascinating and Sizzling!!

Siebold is a warrior with a wolf inside. Meadhan has magic, but keeps it tamped down tightly. She lives outside the village and remains apart. When these two come together Meadhan’s magic will no longer stay contained.

A delicious cast of character; some townspeople need assistance, some warriors taking advantage of the town under the guise of protection. Emotional struggles and fantastic entertainment.

It's a new Berserker book! Yay! This one is a little different from most of the others though, since there is only one Berserker here and we don't really see any pack.

I like Meadhan. I think that she is totally fierce. I really wouldn't want to get on her bad side, because I'm pretty sure that I would end up hurting. And not in a fun way or anything. She really is powerful, and I think that she knows precisely who she is and what she is worth and what she can do.

Siebold, poor Siebold. I thought that he was so lonely. I was so glad that he found Meadhan.

I think with a title like "Berserker Warriors" I expect something a little more primitive. This was a bit more paranatural than I was expecting but at the same time it was the same story of "persecute the witch" we've read hundreds of times.

The Berserker we all loved to hate...Siebold finds his redemption when he sniffs Mistress Meadhan, the town witch, and the one woman who can save him from his beast.

Meadhan's only real fear is being discovered as a witch and burned at stake like her mother, so when she senses Siebold's wolf, she shoos him away like a dog. Siebold is drawn to Medhan's scent and dark skin and doesn't take the hint but instead follows her to market and home. Meadhan feels sorry for the wolf and not only allows him to follow her home but allows him in her hut (give Siebold an inch and as the saying goes)!

Meadhan awakes in a compromising position with a tall, blonde warrior in her hut and realizes the man is the wolf. Although he's still suffering from the madness of his memories, Siebold's ready to claim his mate, but he's got competition in Mistress Donna's good looking son Alwyn. Alwyn knows he's no match for the grumpy wolf and backs off his affections towards Meadhan. Siebold and Meadhan exchange their stories of woe, and Siebold finally admits that he has done much evil (now I can finally forgive him!).

As expected, Meadhan loses the fight of falling for Siebold, and the two become lovers and mates. Unfortunately, Father Gerald and Offa The Bloody's men demand protection money from Meadhan. Meadhan knows it is just a matter of time before her routine life of selling her herbs at the market and living outside the valley in her hut is at the end. Meadhan prepares to pack up and move on until Offa lays claim to the valley leading to a bloody showdown. No more running away for Meadhan, but once the valley knows what she is, and what Siebold is, will they banish them even after they come to the town's rescue?

"You are my woman." "And you are my monster." Just the type of HEA I'd expect with this pair("She will be as much trouble as her father, I can already tell." (Hopefully not with Siebold's evil side!) While waiting for the birth of their daughter, they have practice raising Dafydd, Father Gerald's illegitimate son (yeah, this priest is a creep in more ways than one.)

Kudos to Lee Savino and Ines Johnson for adding diversity to the series in their lead character. It was a refreshing change from the standard Berserker storyline.

On my Were Scale of Hotness, 4 stars.

Magical love story, witches’ powers returns humanity, Siebold knows he must have her
Siebold had been in wolf for so many years that he knew there was no way he would find his human shape again he had been trapped in his wolf form until the day he had smelled the sweetest smell calling out to him and had dared to follow.
The small dark-skinned woman was beautiful in her arms she had carried a large basket of hers which she had been selling to the villagers to cure their ailments and ease their suffering.
When she saw the wolf, her magic allowed her to see a warrior with a beard and golden hair she could see and feel the magic that trapped his real self in the wolf form, she would not realise at that moment their lives would become entwinned.
Meadhan had seen the way in which her mother a healer like herself had been taken from the home she had known all her life and had placed her on a pyre and burned her as a witch, she had hidden her precious daughter and instructed her to stay secreted away and to run as soon as she could. The horror of that night had scarred her and caused her to guard her abilities least the same happen to her!!
The village was being terrorised and she knew that her time was drawing near and even though she had met some suspicion and spiteful words the incoming band of men under the rule of Offa and his rising charges for living in the little meadow were beginning to grow and the terrorising of the people was increasing.
Then when she had seen her wolf trapped and Dafydd running to them for help as the village had been ransacked, the people who were her friends had been beaten, she had to do fight back.
A woman and a golden wolf walked in to the meadow that day to save those they cared for, just two against at least a hundred men with evil in their hearts and filthy thoughts and desires on their minds.
This was a totally captivating read; it was also wonderful to reference back to Samuel and the original Berserker books at the very start of the Berserker Saga Series which I also highly recommend.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Siebold is another strong entry in Savino’s long-running Berserker series, but it’s also a book that offers a great new perspective by having a woman of color as a heroine. I love it when even a fantasy romance set in a vaguely medieval past can show that people of color lived everywhere, everywhen. And bringing in the marvelous Ines Johnson (try Moonrise!) as a co-writer provides a wonderful asset in the storytelling.

Meadhan is the local herbwoman, viewed as a witch by many. The fact that her skin is a different color only emphasizes her otherness to many in her community. She’s always on alert for the dangerous accusation of witchcraft since her mother was killed for being a witch. So when an overly large wolf takes an uncommon interest in her, following her home and threatening men who dare to come close to her, Meadhan is worried this wolf will be seen as some sort of witchly familiar and drive her away from a small community she loves.

I think this is one of the best books in the Berserker series. Meadhan is strong in many unexpected ways, and her power balances so well against the Berserker strengths of Siebold. He’s dealing with being an outcast, and his lack of community and contact has driven him to the brink of madness. Seeing him learn his human side again with Meadhan is a joyous part of this book. Add in a great group of secondary characters and antagonists who aren’t overly annoying, and you’ve got a delightful read.

Under the guidance of Savino and Johnson, Siebold is a book I can wholeheartedly recommend as one of the best in this series. It’s also a true stand-alone, which is another plus in my book. Enjoy two dynamic characters who bring out the best in one another in Siebold!

I was so excited to read Siebold's redemption story! If you read the other Berserker books, (and you should) you will remember Siebold as the bad guy, desperately trying to steal one of the women from the other books in any way he could. This novella was better than i could have expected.

First off, it's written by two great authors, and the writing is seamless. So often you can tell where one author starts and one author ends. This is not the case here, and the pacing is steady. A couple of excerpts that i found meaningful and beautifully written:

" I had been at sea when a storm struck. I knew what it was like to have the wind and the waves bash against a boat until you think you might die. But now I was the storm. I was the wind and wave. I was the flood."

"A man standing between the trees in the dappled light of the forest. He wears a blond wolf pelt over his shoulders. His golden skin and hair blaze brighter than the sun. I should leave, I should run, but instead I move closer, my footsteps matching the beat of my heart. He raises his head and meets my gaze and liquid honey pours over my skin. I am naked. His hands reach for me--."

"I stroked his face and spoke into his mind. There’s a monster that lives inside all men. Only a strong woman can tame it. "

And this brings me to my favorite aspect of this story...a strong woman of color! Yeah!! So few of these out there in the literary community and this particular genre, and this one kicks butt! Such a fabulous entry in the Berserker series and Ines Johnson is a very worthy co-writer!

They both needed healing

Meadhan healed what she thought was a wolf that was sick and cursed. What she did not know was the wolf was a berserker warrior who was claiming Meadhan as his mate. Meadhan was an enchanted powerful herbalist witch, who was hiding her secret and also hiding from the memories that tortured her. For her safety, she lived deep in the forest away from the village where she sold her herbs. The crazy priest in the village held everyone as a moral prisoner and aided the help of mercenaries while he neglected his own personal responsibilities or ethics. Siebold, the warrior, was super protective of Meadhan and would not let any man get close to her. She regretted allowing Siebold into her home and life for fear the same thing would happen to her as did her mother. It was not until Meadhan claimed Siebold as her own could she totally remember her past and accept her inner monster and power, but she used her power for good to protect the village people she loved.

This was a very interesting and creative tale. Both Meadhan and Siebold had events from their past that bothered them. Siebold wanted desperately to be loved. He'd been thrown out of his pack and rejected by a woman he loved. His only chance for healing and love was through Meadhan. Meadhan had her own past to deal with, with what she witnessed as a child. She had to fully accept the power within to fully heal herself, Siebold, and the Village.

Witch and the Berserker Wolf Over 18 Reading

Meadhan is a very powerful witch who lives in the woods close but not to near a village. She hides her powers because she has always known that they would drive her away if anyone found out. The villagers did buy her herbal remedies. Siebold is a berserker who has been cursed and turns into a werewolf. On her way home one day she is followed by a beautiful wolf that she tries to make leave but it won't go. A young motherless (and preacher father doesn't claim him) boy breaks his leg and she uses her powers to heal him. Dafydd knows that it would be bad if anyone finds out and tells her he won't tell. Siebold doesn't like it when her male customers or sons of customers give her meat in payment and his wolf keeps eating it then as a a wolf he goes hunting and bring back a whole elk telling her she only eats meat he provides and their meat gifts or his meat. She won't let him claim her because her mother taught her that the bite of her wolf would mark her as a witch for all to see. She still has nightmares of the day villagers came for her mother and from her hiding spot she saw what they did to her mother before they burned the witch. One day the villagers led by the preacher but then the preacher starts to hit his son and Meadhan knows it has to end one way or another. Will Siebold and Meadhan survive? Will they have to run? Can they find peace anywhere?

Siebold is the second book in the Berserker Warriors series, but can easily be read as a stand-alone romance. Meadhan lives alone in the Forrest, hiding a monstrous secret, but the day she runs into a cursed wolf, her life changes. Siebold only knows darkness until Meadhan shows up, bringing sunlight and love, but will she be able to break his curse and keep their secrets safe?

The Berserker world that Ms. Savino has created is one of my most favorite series, and Meadhan and Siebold’s romance was powerful, filled with strong characters with big hearts, and I loved every second I spent reading this book! This was another fantastic duo of authors that really brought the main characters to life with a connection you could practically feel through the pages. Meadhan was strong and caring, a warrior in her own right, and I loved that she compared the power within her as her own monster. She was brave, bold at times, but also so vulnerable and loved that she melted with her berserker. Siebold is so determined to cherish and love Meadhan, but he battles his own inner demons. I loved how they worked together as a team, I loved their passion, and I loved that their sense of rightness was rooted in protecting others. I loved them. I loved the danger, the magic, the desire, and really, I loved everything in this book!

“Siebold” is Book 2 in the series, A Berserker Warrior Romance by two great authors Lee Savino and Ines Johnson. The story is filled with suspense, mystery, romance and lots of sexy scenes from page one! This story is both interesting and creative. Meadhan and Siebold have secrets which has them living isolated from others, in hopes of staying safe. Meadhan is a very powerful witch who lives in the woods close but not to near a village. She hides her powers because she has always known that the villagers would drive her away if anyone found out. Meadhan healed what she thought was a wolf that was sick and cursed But this wolf was a berserker warrior who was claiming Meadhan as his mate. Siebold wanted desperately to be loved. He'd been thrown out of his pack and rejected by a woman he loved. His only chance for healing and love was through Meadhan.
Lee Savino and Ines Johnson continue to dazzle us with these stories, I don’t know how they achieve this but each story, although a stand alone, compliments each other. Each story is well told, filled with caring, heartache, personal tragedies and suspense. The characters have depth and one cares deeply about them and worries if, they will get their Happy Ever After. The road is never straight or assured.

Damn, it was such a promising start. For such a short book why was it so repetitive? At first I was like, "great! A fun romance with a berserker AND werewolf? And she has a series, finally!"
But, like, nothing happened. around the 3/4ths mark I was wondering if the big climactic scene already happened. Also Siebold had basically zero personality and was so overprotective it was ludicrous. There was hardly any chemistry between the couple and the magic was hard to understand or follow. The berserker thing wasn't really leaned into nor well defined. The werewolf thing either, when could he transform? Really, nothing was given a clear description so it was a lot of *shrug* maybe I can pick it up from context clues.
Barring that, the side characters are little better than caricatures and stereotypes and so silly I couldn't take them seriously. It's like a 4 hour book and I was dreading going back to it once it just started circling her pushing him away and recycling the same reasons from earlier. Conflict is good, especially with romance, but when you can't come up with good reasons for the conflict to occur nor give the characters any kind of reason to be fighting, that's just boring as hell!

Another great book in this series. Unfortunately it's the last one of this series. I so enjoyed all of them.
MMC, Siebold, a berserker has been on his own and no longer a part of a pack for a long time now. He's close to never turning back into a man.
And then it happens.... he scents his mate.
FMC has been living on her own far away from the villagers where she does magic. She's an extremely powerful witch!
FMC first meets Siebold as a wolf. He continually saves her from bad men. They start getting close to one another and he marks her as his mate.
The chemistry between them is sizzling hot! Lots of sex. I couldn't put this book down. So good.
I just wish we had more info on why Siebold was kicked out of his pack. The previous books mentioned him in them and he was always mean and nasty. Especially to the female spaewives. He did mention in this book that he killed a female.
Anyway, I just wish these books were part of Amazon's KU. This whole series sure was expensive and out of what I could afford. Oh well, who needs to eat. Am I right??!! Lol!

Lee Savino has done it again! These Berserker stories are absolutely magnificent. Meadhan is a witch who lives deep within the forest away from the small village where she sells her herbs and potions in the market. Taking the path one day she 'felt' herself being watched. This immediately brought on a vision of a man then changed into a wolf. What came out of the bushes was the emaciated wolf from her vision covered in a cloud of flies. Siebold automatically recognized the golden glow surrounding her. And her smell was overwhelming. Meaghan acknowledged the evil curse on the wolf and used her magic to heal him. This is when their adventure started and it was certainly one that completely immersed me and let me become a part of the story. I felt like one of the villagers watching on the sidelines. Two people, damaged in their own way, tumultuously bring hope, joy, and love. What a great story.

My Berserkers are back! This one is about Siebold, who has been cast out of his pack and lost the woman he thought was his. He's been a bad Berserker, losing control of his beast and doing bad things. Meadhan is a witch, she stays in the woods away from the villagers eyes. Her mom was murdered by an angry mob due to being accused as a witch. Meadhan does sell her healing herbs in the village but never reveals her true Self. When a wounded wolf needs her, she reveals herself, then after it follows her home, she discovers he's really a man! Now both Siebold and Meadhan have secrets better kept to themselves. Siebold's wolf wants Meadhan as his mate and fate takes over. The golden-haired Siebold and the dark skinned Witch are not to be denied. Of course there is trouble but both Meadhan and Siebold with join forces to fight for the freedom of all.
The sex is hot too. 😁

Another fierce story worthy of the Beserker series. Though written by two authors, I dare you to try to differentiate who wrote which scenes. This seamless blending is one of the things that makes this book so pleasurable to read. The world building of the Beserkers is so real the reader is drawn into the story. The characters are almost tangible, the reader feels their pain and anger. As with most of this series the primary female character, Meadhan, must overcome an insecurity/obstacle before becoming the strong woman she was fated to be, in this case her fear of being found out as a witch and being driven from her home or burned at the stake. Siebold, the primary male character, has to redeem himself so he and his monster can find peace. It takes the love and faith of a strong witch to heal his tormented soul.

If you're at all familiar with Lee Savino then chances are you've read at least one of her Berserker books. By now, there have been so many in the original series as well as spin-off series' that it's hardly worth worrying about the original premise. However, this book does outline it very briefly but didn't spend a large amount of time on it, which I was thankful for. I enjoyed the characters in this book, Siebold, Meadhan but would really love to have seen more of Dafydd. One thing I found frustrating is that the story kept referencing Siebold being cast out from the others but apart from one really sketchy explanation, nothing. Much more time was spent referencing it than explaining it. Overall I enjoyed it. It wasn't great but there have definitely been worse stories in the Berserker universe.

So good to have my guilty pleasure return for another Berserker Warrior story!

This PNR contains subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult intimate scenes and violence such as fighting (some to the death), assault, dominant elements, etc.

If any of these types of scenes are not something you like, please do not purchase and then rate it lower than it deserves.

This can be read as a stand-alone, although I highly recommend it be read in series order for maximum reader satisfaction. Siebold is a character from the original series and it was good to know what happened to him.

This story is well written, with a strong universe and characters. There isn’t any other reoccurring characters, but I still enjoy the overall Berserker premise. It is one of my guilty pleasure reads and I look forward to more .... hurry up December!!

Not what I was expecting

I have read all of the Berserker books since the beginning and this one didn't seem to have as much passion as the previous stories. So this book would work better as a stand alone so you wouldn't have any preconceived ideas like I did.

I liked that Meadhan was a strong woman in her own right. The fact she was a "witch" ties in with the earlier women's powers.
Siebold seemed like a totally different person than before. He didn't portray the same dominant characteristics in order to control his "beast". There was no bdsm type behavior at all.
I sort of hoped that his book would lead him back to his pack and that he would be absolved and allowed back into the pack.
Overall I liked the book when I thought of it as not related to anything I have read before.

Another fine addition to a great series

Siebold was one I thought was beyond redemption. His foul behavior and misdeeds in the previous stories are well known. But here he seems truly remorseful, repentant, and willing to be a better man. The turnaround is incredible and it’s beautiful seeing him grow and heal and after a hundred years, know peace. Meadhan was a healer and a kind heart forced to face tragedy at a young age and grow up too soon. That tragedy made her understand the need to hide everything she was for her own safety. She was holding it together and hiding as best she could until one good deed brought a wolf into her life and turned everything upside down. There are so many gems in this tale and I thoroughly enjoyed it! What an unlikely hero and powerful, well-matched heroine. Marvelously done!

Lee Savino and Ines Johnson has brought us another great berserker story. This is about Siebold and Meadhans. Finally Seibold was able to find a mate and redeem himself. His Berseker brothers would be proud. Meadhan and Siebold together WOW. Can we say explosive. His first “encounter” with Meadhan was definitely a dream worth having. I love the push/pull between these two. Meadhan holds her own and wasn’t about to cower to any man. Siebold certainly needed that in a woman. This was such a great book. I was so glad that they both could overcome their pasts. I am thrilled that we will get to read about Juliet soon.
