How a ‘Man Fast’ Can Change Your Life: 10 Ways to Transform Yourself from Huntress to Love Magnet

Rate this book
Popular Huffington Post blogger and humanitarian globetrotter Natasha Scripture unleashes her characteristic humor in this insightful, quasi-spiritual guide to finding yourself – and love – in a chaotic modern world. This is a definitive must-read for women exasperated in their search for Mr. Right.

Written for both cynical serial daters and women suffering from a romantic dry spell, How a ‘Man Fast’ Can Change Your Life is a treasure trove of inspirational snippets, juicy anecdotes and meaningful guidance based on the author’s own journey from dating frenzy to heartache to self-discovery. Part memoir, part how-to guide, this book mandates a self-imposed “Man Fast” for damsels in distress in order to get themselves out of a funk. The bottom line you’re single because you haven’t been ready this whole time.

Like her blogs, Natasha’s humor is central to this body of work, which features amusing advice from her Indian mother, a wannabe matchmaker and recurring character throughout. But the author also delves deep, describing herself as “a female version of Deepak Chopra, but with no business sense and a better body.”

From Rumi to The Rules, this short book is a condensed one-stop shop for those too lazy to read “intense, spiritual books” such as the The Bhagavad Gita and the Tao Te Ching or who are too put-off by self-help books chock-full of time-consuming exercises. Natasha shares her key takeaways from the classics while weaving in her own personal story in a way that compels you to reach deep within yourself. This all makes for a highly entertaining yet poignant read.
