Bardzo niekonsekwentna książka. Niektóre rozdziały arcyciekawe, a inne nużące albo powierzchownie opisane. Szata graficzna polskiego wydania wywołuje we mnie dreszcz obrzydzenia.

A comprehensive and engaging introduction to the subject of forensics. I have a degree and further qualifications in forensics and found this to be a good overall guide to some of the major areas and it was written in an accessible and interesting way so as to be suitable for a good spectrum of background knowledge levels. The images and illustrations are stunning and the format is good with plenty of relevant case studies to demonstrate the points, some of which are very famous and well known and some lesser so and ones I hadn’t encountered before. Therefore, in summary, although the information was not new to me I still found this to be a pleasant and engaging recap and reignited my interest. I would definitely recommend.

Fun fact: I am a big true crime fan and love everything that has something to do with solving crimes, talking about killers etc.
I think it is weird to rate a non-fiction book. But I will give this 4 stars, mainly because this book gave me some new knowledge of the crime-scene investigations and the processes behind it. I know this book is outdated already, but it still hold value.

A good book to keep on the shelf for rainy days, but overall it's better suited to those wanting a quick overview of forensics concepts. I can imagine it would be interesting for younger (though not young) readers, or those who enjoy CSI- and SVU-type shows. NB I got through it in one afternoon.

Very solid introduction into forensics. Heads up: it’s an encyclopedia size.

The science nerd that I am, I loved this book. It is a good introduction for anyone truly interested in forensic science, and I am not referring to the CSI crap on TV. But I mean the real science of it!

I think it's a somewhat average book on the whole crime thing. Gives good information on some things as well as a large handful of short stories about actual cases.

Not too much to say I think. Would mainly recommend for people who're interested in the subject.

I loved learning about the different murder cases both solved and unsolved and some of what the forensic people do to solve the murders.

This is probably one of the most informative and detailed forensic books I have read to date. I loved how the information was broken down, and the pictures were very helpful for references to what the text spoke out. This book is VERY detailed which I LOVED! The information is accurate as far as I know, and I definitely learned a lot! I'll be referencing back to this book in the future for sure!
