Rachel -- Getting pregnant in high school hasn’t exactly made my life easy, especially since my daughter’s father wants nothing to do with us and his parents hate us. Starting over in a new town sounded easy enough, but finding work and a place to stay isn’t so simple in Blackwood Falls. I never counted on a knight in shining armor coming to my rescue, or that he’d be riding a Harley. There’s something about the sexy silver fox that makes me feel safe. Steel might be some big, tough biker, but anyone who rescues a pug and names her Victoria can’t be all bad, right? I only hope I’m not falling for the wrong guy yet again. My heart can’t handle it, and neither can my daughter’s.

Steel -- I may have seen a lot in my time, and done things that would give most people nightmares, but I’m admittedly a softie when it comes to kids and animals. Little Coral might have enchanted me at first, but her mom is the one I can’t get off my mind. I can tell she’s running from something, and I’ll find out what one way or another. She thinks she’s all alone, but she’s wrong. She has me -- because I always go after what I want and I’m going to make her mine. Doesn’t matter I’m more than two decades older than her. I pity anyone who stands in my way or dares to harm any of my girls -- I won’t hesitate to put the bastards six feet under.

WARNING: This age-gap romance contains graphic language and sex, animal abuse, graphic violence, and a big bad biker with a heart of gold. Guaranteed HEA, no cheating, and no cliffhanger.

“Doesn’t matter I’m more than two decades older than her.”

1. Huge age gap. He’s 55 and she’s 23! Not more than 2 decades like it’s previously mentioned in the blurb. More like 3 decades. All I kept seeing while reading the sample was a wrinkle little d*ck. 🥴🤢

2. The cover helped give me a vision of the hero. Most authors have good looking silver foxes on their book covers but yikes, what was the author thinking? Yes I know the cover is more “realistic” but come on, it does not help when the heroine is a young woman.

Harley Wylde Devils Fury MC bk 05 Steel

Age Was Only a Number

Unsurprisingly, Isaac (Steel) Crowley and Rachel Williams quickly establish a relationship. With six year-old Coral and Victoria the pug in the mix, we immediately see Steel's softer side when it comes to the three new females in his life, which overjoyed me.

Of course, I was also elated when he commanded bedroom activities 🥵 and allowed his fierce protectiveness to shine through. Holy cannoli! It is gritty and dark (check your triggers), as well as sweet and loving.

In other DFMC news, it was great to see the other women and how they've come together. I also love seeing how their lives and families have grown. Plus, there are crossovers - by mention and by presence - of other MCs in Harley's universe, which I always love to see.

I received an author's copy of the audio book. I do love the narrator, Umi Markkanen. She consistently provides a good listening experience. 🎧💛🎧

What a ride, Steel and Rachel’s story grabbed me from the first page and didn’t let go. Rachel’s doing her best to keep life steady for her and her little girl after a messy past, and Steel, big, rough-around-the-edges, and secretly a softie for kids and pups, slowly becomes exactly what she didn’t know she needed. Their chemistry is electric, but it’s the tenderness underneath Steel’s tough exterior (and the way he adores Coral and that rescued pug, Victoria) that really sold this one for me.

The plot moves at a good clip, the stakes feel real, and the emotional beats land without being melodramatic. There’s grit and danger, but also scenes that genuinely made me smile, and sigh. If you like alpha bikers who turn into fierce protectors and heroines who are resilient and relatable, this one’s for you.

I listened to the audiobook, and as always, Umi Markkanen was fantastic. Her narration really brings the characters to life and makes the story even more immersive.

By far my favorite book in the series so far. I really enjoyed it.

Steel is the 5th book in the Devil's Fury MC series. This amazing series is full of romance, handsome alpha men with a sweet side for the women in their lives and lots of drama.
Steel, like the previous books in the series, is a standalone with a HEA, no cliffhanger and no cheating. Nevertheless, I recommend starting with Dingo (Book 1) because characters from previous books will take part.

This book had a lot of themes that are not easy to pull off: age gap, silver fox, single mom and bikers. However, Harley did an amazing job giving us a plot that pulls you into the story from page 1.
I have to say Steel is a total teddy bear when he is with little Coral and Rachel. He is so sweet and caring and totally stole my heart away when I saw the sweet family those three created. I am amazed how Harley is able to bring to live heroes what have that perfect balance between alpha attitude and sweetness. Though the book, I could feel the connection between Rachel and Steel. However, I loved that she was wary of steel at first. Plenty of heroines fall in love/lust at first sight and blindly trust the hero. I liked that she was more rational but at the same time allowed herself to be proven that she could have the family she deserved and be loved and cherished. Coral was the sweetest girl ever and my heart melted when Steel and her had some father-daughter moments.

There is so much I want to tell you about the series because I have a tons of highlighted sections but I don't want to spoil this amazing novel for you. So, to keep it short, READ IT! Prepare yourself for steamy moments, swooning and to be totally immersed in a world of drama in the most addictive kind of way!

This is an age-gap romance and one of the things that I love these series is that these tough bikers, who could do so much violence, are taking women who are in need of help. In the process of that, falling in love with them. I am in no way saying that these women are damsels in distress. A lot of these women are strong, independent and in this case, doing everything she could do give the best to her kid. Rachel is giving her everything to her kid at the expense of her health sometimes. I love how caring and understanding he is to her.

I had initially thought that they would not be good for each other, in the sense that the romance would barely be there. but the chemistry was there. You should not be disappointed. What surprised me was definitely the cover. It was not the normal silver fox/older guy covers that I have seen so far. Steel has been someone who takes in strays. Takes care of them. Tries to give them everything they need to be the best of themselves. I have been wondering for some time the women he would fall for. Rachel is running away from someone and trying to protect her son. She did need some help and Steel was it. But she got her HEA with it as well.

Mind you, there is violence as mentioned in the blurb.

This was a book I read in one sitting. As long as you do not mind the age-gap, it will be a great erotic read for the readers. You get a protector, some sizzling romance, a kid, a doggy…and bikers!!

It is no secret that I love this author so much and I get so excited when a new book comes out. I tell myself that I am going to go slow and savor it. Yeah, that never works. Steel is the perfect example of hard shell but absolute marshmallow on the inside. He saves animals! I mean come on Ms Wylde, are you trying to kill us? How can anyone hold up against that, its just not possible!? Rachel is a strong woman, raising her baby alone after getting tangled up with a really ginormous jerk. She has done anything and everything to make sure her daughter has what she needs. She comes to town to start over and meets Steel at just the right time. He falls in love with her daughter first and he is enchanted with the little girl. Once he lays eyes on Rachel, the attraction is immediate and he is determined to help her, no matter what. Rachel realizes pretty quick how awesome Steel is. I'm not going to give anymore away, it was so awesome to be in the front row for this romance. I devoured it as I usually do and was so happy at the close. Can't wait for more books from this talented and prolific writer!

Rachel is in need of some divine intervention. She has a 6yr old daughter and she needs a job. Her life feels like it falling apart. But she does find help in the form of a job at a diner. She just needs to start making money for her and her daughter to survive. Steel is older and wiser but has watched his brothers’ pair off. He never wanted a family of his own but it is tempting. He has a dog that quiets some of the emptiness but when he sees Rachel and her daughter Coral, he sees more.

You have to love a man that loves dogs and would defend one from an evil stranger. I loved that he didn’t need to think, just did. Plus we might have a story about the vet later since he is a member of the Devil’s Fury. And I love that the manager of the diner was kind hearted. He wasn’t a jerk like some. And Outlaw, LOL, he is a trip. Man just does as he pleases. Rachel’s ex was going to be bring trouble to the Devil’s door but it wouldn’t be the first time. I love that Steel aka Isaac was a bit older. Age never matters when you have a sexy man that loves you and willing to do anything to protect you. I look forward to reading about Doolittle.

Steel always wanted a family but never thought he would get one. Boy was he wrong! The Silver fox meets his match with Rachel, a mother who would protect her young daughter, Coral, at all costs. Running from her shady past, Rachel ends up in Blackwood Falls, which is Devil's Fury territory. Luckily for her, Isaac " Steel" Crowley notices her desperation and struggle and decides to be her Lancelot on a harley.

Furthermore, I was surprised and touched by discovering that Steel is a big teddy bear. Not only does he save Rachel and Coral, but also a little pug with fur black as night. Deciding to keep the small, helpless animal, Steel names her Victoria for she is strong and fierce. Despite the relatable characters within the book, there was not as much drama as in some of the previous books in the series. However, there is still enough action to keep you reading to see what happens next.

First things first; I like the cover of this book.
Steel is book five in the ‘’ devils fury MC’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Steel has wanted a wife and kids for a while but it never happened. When a single mom moves to town, Steel is instantly attracted. When he learns the danger Rachel is in he becomes determined to keep her safe.
The chemistry between Steel and Rachel is clear to see and I liked them together.
I loved the bond Steel had with Coral. I also loved Coral’s bond with Steel’s dog.
I loved the speech Rachel gave Zoe and the other old ladies.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

I love this book! I say this a lot when I read Harley Wylde’s books. It’s hard not to fall for a man that saves animals. Coral is the sweetest little girl that gets the Daddy she’s always wanted. The other Old Ladies are there for Rachel when she needs them the most! These women are as strong and brave as their men. I’ll be waiting patiently for Slash, Demon & Doolittle’s books!

TLDR / POV:
You’re a very young, struggling, single mom, living in a shady motel and barely scraping by, when you stumble upon a ready-made family, complete with built-in bodyguards.

🐾🪸 🐾🪸 🐾🪸

Wyld’s MC books are one of those ‘I’ll take any little peek I can get’ situations, as they’re quick, and pack instalove, and don’t differ from one another very much, yet they’re so fun. They pack honorable men, community, found family, and lots of danger. Perfect listens for when I’ve gotta work, exercise, do housework, etc.—takes the ‘work’ out of those chores.

This one was no exception, gripping me right away due to a likable male lead, and another character I loved to hate.

Overall:
Plausibility could’ve been slightly tighter, but mostly I could roll with it all. A fun read that reminds the reader there ARE still good people and sweet moments in a world of darkness.

4 stars.

🎧 Audio:
I can’t get enough of this narrator—she does such a great job with all roles, managing to almost make these books sound full-cast. 5 stars.

Steel is the latest in Harley Wylde's Devil's Fury MC book catalog. I absolutely loved Steel and Rachel. I also loved Coral and Victoria!! This book isn't nearly as dark as previous Devil's Fury books like Dingo, Dagger, and Dragon. However, it does still pack a punch with the trouble that follows Rachel.

You'll get an age-gap romance, HEA, no cliffhangers, an adorable dog, a cute kid, and bikers from some of Harley's other series and books! What more could a reader want? Yes, there's romance, steamy scenes, and adorable moments in this book. It has absolutely everything. Plus, there could be previews into possible future books in this series and perhaps, others. Read it now! I absolutely loved it.

I received an ARC so that I could leave my honest opinion. However, I've already pre-ordered the book for my Harley Wylde book collection. Happy Reading!!

Wow...Just Wow!

I was looking for a book to read over the weekend and this one caught my eye. I am a fan of MC books but this is the first book I've read from Harley Wylde. I devoured this book whole. I could not put it down. I am only disappointed that it took me this long to find this author. The characters are phenomenal and have a lot of depth to them. Even little Coral was a joy to get to know. This was a little on the lighter side for a MC book but just what I needed. I could not put this book down. Needless to say, this book did not last the weekend and not even a day. I guess I'll have to go back and pick up the rest of this series. Maybe that will get me through the weekend. I would definitely recommend this book. And Thank You Harley Wylde for writing such wonderful characters and for your story telling abilities. You are truly gifted.

I cannot tell you how much I LOVE all of Harley Wylde MC series! They all intermix but can also be read as stand alones! steel is one of my absolute favorites! I mean it has all my favorite tropes!
✅MC
✅single mom
✅Age gap
✅Strong FMC
✅Possessive Protective Alpha

Steel is your typical BA Alpha biker who is automatically drown to the new waitress. Rachel’s been through hell but is stronger than hell and continues to try and do the best she can for her and her little one. Steel offers a helping hand with no expectations and winds up getting his dream life out of it. Rachel has been on her own and in danger for so long that steel coming in her life is a blessing and reload she didn’t know she needed. Steel would kill and even die for her and her daughter. Their love story is one for the books 😍

I could not wait to read Steel and his book was worth it.
Steel never thinks he will find a match for him, but she is in fact out there!!!
Rachel and her daughter Coral are new to town, down on their luck.
Steel is a protector of children and women, as is all his MC brothers

And if any two need protecting it’s Rachel and Coral!!!

This story just sucks you right in from the beginning. It had great characters and oh some steamy moments!!!!

Steels love for animals warmed my heart so much!!!!
I try not to give away much in reviews cause well I always want people to experience and be shocked and surprised when they read it for the first time!!!
I always devour this authors stories and find myself going back for rereads!!!!

Harley Wylde is always a one click buy for me and I'm never disappointed. Steel continues the streak! This is perhaps the sweetest of the Devil's Fury books dont get me wrong Steel is still an alpha through and through. As always you dont need to have read the previous books but I still reccomend them they are all good (If you really want a good read go back to Venom and read the whole family from where it began!)

Rachel and her daughter Coral are new town and running from the past. Steel first meets Coral and is drawn to the sweet friendly little girl. When he sees Rachel he is attracted to her and is pulled to want to help her. I won't say much more besides to expect a wonderful story filled with romance steam and a cute dog!

Rachel and her daughter Coral are on the run from her former husband and his family, the Mulligan Irish Mob leaders. They are not going to give up until they capture them, but they didn't count on Steel and his single-minded ability to protect what's his.
Rachel trusts Steel to keep them safe and he earns her complete trust, knowing that he'll always protect his wife, daughter and unborn child. There's a scene with a trigger that I would be aware of. As the book opens, Steel saves a puppy from the thug who was viciously trying to kill her and he is so affected that he adopts her and takes her home. The puppy is safe, but it was disturbing for me.
Umi Markkanen is a magnificent voice actress and excellence is what I've come to expect from her. In Steel, she doesn't disappoint.

Steel was a man who thought he had loss his chance to have a family he thought he had missed out. When he met Rachel at the diner he was done for. What he hadn’t expect was for her to be so strong but again you have to be a strong woman to be with a member of the Devils Fury. Rachel has been raising her daughter Coral since corals father wanted nothing to do with her until he did. Steel knew he wanted to protect and be with Rachel and Coral. He would go to the end of the world for this to happen. Loved getting to catch up with other members of the MC. I LOVE Harley’s books. They are always amazing. I can’t wait for more. I highly recommend this book.

Compared to other books within the (biker) series, this one was a bit lighter and less dark; yet, it still involving h, who ran from bad people and seedy business. The story was straight to the point. Unlike other H, this one was already set in the beginning to claim his woman; one look and hooked and all. A bittersweet story of an instant family. I kinda like the slow pace and cute story on the instant family after all.

No virgin
No contraception mentioned
Older H, 30yr-ish age gap
Independent single mother h, older wiser biker alpha H
Mentioned violence and tortured scene
HEA, No cheating
Overall score: 4.5 biker stars

Another Devil's Fury I couldn't wait to read and couldn't put down. Steel is really steel on the outside and warm heart on the inside. He doesn't let age differences stand in his way of getting the family he wants. And of course, his brother Outlaw has to help that along!
I loved the instant love between little Coral and Steel in addition to the attraction between him and her mom. The Devil's Fury guys certainly have a type.
This has love, heart, danger, a little torture, and steamy sex. Just my kind of book. I can't wait to see which brother she writes about next. Maybe Slash? And as a fur momma to my own 2 pugs, I loved Victoria:)

I just don't know where to start with Steel! How HOT and SEXY is this book? EVERYBODY needs a Steel!
Rachel and her daughter Coral came to Blackwood Falls trying to escape Corals biological father. Steel meets Coral at the diner her Mom is applying for a job at. While Rachel is skeptical of Steel at first, it doesn't take long for them to get to know each other. He's determined to take care of both of them. And boy does he ever! Their journey is EXPLOSIVE! They're perfect for each other and complete each other in ways neither could ever imagine.

Thanks

I am really appreciative of this book, and all the other wonderful books I have read during this frightening time we are all enduring. It's hard to find entertainment in any genre that doesn't seem stale and repetitive. I go to my Kindle to find quiet, peace, and joy in the midst of all the chaos and negativity beating at the door. I am so thankful for the hard work and creativity ALL my favorite author's have brought to the table through this time. Thanks for being a positive voice in the current cacophony of crap.

Steel, Rachel and Coral

Rachel escaped with her daughter because of the sperm donor and his family trying to take Coral. She had no family to help her but thank goodness they ran into Steel at the diner where she started working. She exhausted herself to the point of passing out and Steel took it upon himself to bring them to his house at the compound. Didn't take long to realize that the sperm donor and his family were part of the Italian mob. A few twist and turns throughout. Happy reading.

Great read

This is the story of Steel and Rachel. Steel is a alpha man with a soft heart. Rachel single mother running from her past. Steel is so sweet. With this story you get a sweet soft hearted biker who will go to any lengths to protect a woman and child. But make them his woman and child watch out. Rachel is a combination of soft with the strength to raise a child on her own. Fabulous new story. It's sweet, tender, with wit and action all into one.

Now this was a new take on an underused trope, I have to say that harley did perfect on the relationship between Steel (Isaac) and Rachel. I have to say that although Steel was very entranced by Rachel, it was Coral that wrapped him up tight.

I look forward to hearing Uma as narrator cause she has the gruffness and the softness of each character down pat and can make you invested til you actually forget about time to finish the book.

I love the series!!!!!

This was possibly the sweetest book in this series so far. Don’t get me wrong, Steel is alpha, protective, and possessive but when he meets Rachel and Coral he’s became a gooey teddy bear. I absolutely adored the connection they shared and the beautiful way they came together. You can never go wrong with a Harley Wylde story. I love everything about this story.

Considering I’ve read and loved all the mc books Harley has written they just keep getting better. Which is honestly not something I expect in a series, normally after the first few I find them the same but all harleys mc books are amazing and I anticipate every single one! Thank you for another great read. Roll on the next book.
