Hot baseball player Dusty meets shy waitress curvy girl. Sparks fly but media scrutiny and his mom tear them apart. Dusty is so dreamy and a niceguy though he will stop at nothing to get back his girl. I loved this couple and the epilogue. Virgin heroine, no info about hero, no cheating, his mother causes some drama.

Gah! Hope gets me every time...I didn't have a chance when it came to Dusty and his giant size and "all in" heart, those are my favorite kind of book boyfriends.
I adore a H who knows from moment one that the h is for him and he does all he can to show her that. I especially love when the H goes toe to toe with family to claim his lady.

I really enjoyed it and liked both characters. And I know it’s a short story but I wished it was a tad bit longer so we could get some answers about the hero and heroine when certain things are brought up in the story. But either way, I liked it overall.

Being a plus-size girl is never easy. For one thing, you only see yourself, in the way of the loudest of the last worst critic in the room. You know the one who had the balls, to say something in a group about your weight so you can’t figure out which jackass said it. It doesn't even register, in your mind that in that same room, a hundred people tell you, that you look beautiful. You laugh it off, because you think they're just saying that, or making fun of you. Kind of like it is playing out for, Serenity. In her head, she can handle the rude, and disrespectful behavior and the comments as she is waitressing. Much better than compliments, at the banquet for a pro baseball league.
When doing these catering jobs if, you want to continue, to have a job you have to expect anything. And, no help from your boss. She already learned, it goes on deaf ears. We are talking about some very influential people basically, he wants to keep his job, too. When a guy in one of the groups keeps getting more, and more handsy, the giant of a man steps in. He basically, tells the smaller giant, to take his hands off her body. Because when a woman says no, she means no. The bigger giant asks if she is okay. Boy, howdy is she? She sizes up every single inch of sexy goodness enough to answer his questions.
When she jumps as he puts his hand, on her lower back as he walks with her to the a hi-top table. She tells him she’s sorry for being so jumpy. She thanks him for helping her with that. He nods in the direction of the retreating man. He throws up both hands she realizes he was worried she thought he was taking advantage of her. She tells him no it's the opposite. The hand she put on him while thanking him stays. Embarrassed she slides the same hand out he gives him her name, Serenity.
He catches her looking at his tattoos and he moves closer. He’s smirking when she finally looks up. Oh, she says, telling him how sorry, she is. That she’s never seen someone like him… Oh no she means, She’s seen someone like him, but… Oh, just forget it. She thanks him. She starts to go back, to work. He explains that he gets it. He tells her he knows he’s big, tattooed, and probably everything her mother, warned her about. Then, her boss is giving her the evil eye. Later, Dusty hears a group of guys talking, about getting her, to party with them. In order, to get her so drunk so, that they can pass her around. Plus, she’s a fat a$$. Women like her are, easy.
I liked how she wasn't totally compliant and that he wasn't too over the top. He knew she could make or break him. His mom was a piece of work, but I am glad he took a stand.

This is the insta love story of Serenity and Dusty.
They meet at a Charity Gala. Serenity is a waitress and Dusty is a guest her saves her from a handsy idiot.
They are married within a few months.. the usual.
In true Hope Ford fashion of course Serenity is a grown arse woman who is a virgin who gives it up after 1 dinner with a hot man 😒🙄
Just once I would like her to follow through on the girl asking to wait and get to know the guy first.. be more realistic.
and if you are going to continuously write about virgins also be realistic that they cant go all night multiple times without being sore the next day, and the guys are always huge.. Its absolutely stupid.
If you arent going to write it correctly STOP MAKING THE GIRL A VIRGIN it isnt needed it adds nothing to the stories.
All it portrays is the author thinks curvy girls are all Virgins who just give it up easily.

Wow loved this Dusty sees Serenity at the party for baseball players she is a waitress there and when one of the players get to handsie with her he steps in his protective alpha comes and he knows he will do anything to keep her safe and make her his. Serenity is used to the butt grabbing but this player has gone to far luckily another player steps in and helps her out. Serenity finds his name out Dusty and he is there later to walk her to her car as he said he wanted do make sure she is safe and asks for a date. One date turns into a lot of dates but Serenity finds the tabloids hard to take but nothing prepared her for Dusty’s mum after Serenity starts to pull away from Dusty. Serenity won’t answer his calls he finds out what his mum has said to Serenity now to find her and put this right.

This was a lot sweeter than I expected. Dusty is sweet and protective from the get-go. He is drawn to Serenity from the moment he sees her working at the party. When a guy starts getting creepy, he steps in. Serenity isn't used to being watched over by anyone much less a hot guy. As a professional ball player, he is used to media scrutiny but Serenity isn't. That and his mom's treatment of her drives a wedge between them. Can they find their way to a happily ever after? I really enjoyed this story. The characters are likable and I enjoyed my time with them. I will definitely be picking up more of Ms Ford's work.

Another great and sweet story
This is another amazing and sweet story in Hope Ford's baseball series. After I read each one I think that's my favorite one. But, so far I am totally in love with Serenity and Dusty. I love their chemistry and friendship, and I was so glad they worked through the stress of the outside world in their relationship. I loved this story and suggest it to everyone that wants a short and sweet story, and suggest that you check out the author's other books.

The H in this book was great. He was everything a girl could hope for. The h however left a lot to be desired. Instead of rising to the occasion or communicating her concerns she let fear and insecurity cause discord throughout the story. It was quite frankly annoying. I'm really getting sick of insecure h's. I myself am not the most secure so I can relate but it would be nice to set an example. Just saying.

Mushy
I enjoyed reading this story. For an Alpha, he was on the sensitive side, a wee bit mushy, but not in a bad way. It is hard to imagine in today’s society, that anything other than a Twiggy figure is acceptable, desired or even wanted. But I do really enjoy these love stories about and for those of us with curves. It gives hope, which I really really like. Loved the ending!

Only 10 chapters. This is the most lovely story I have read so far of Hope Ford. Should have been a 5 star however, 10 chapters is kind of short. Hope Ford is such a wonderful storyteller I will read all of her books. It's easy to get into the story just at the first chapter. But it makes you cry when there's not enough chapters in the book. This is definitely a must read series.

I found this one hitting close to home. Both of them are just too much and not enough. Dusty is so alpha and sweetness rolled into a hot package. They way he loves her is just amazing and when he stands up to his mom is the best.

Not my favorite out of the rest in this series. Serenity is such a beautiful name for a super-insecure woman. Just wished she stood up for herself a little more as I don’t understand what Dusty saw in her.
