Trouble with a capital T
Another fantastic story by Tory Baker. She absolutely nailed it. A love story with a little suspense and mystery. No cheating, no abuse, neither virgins but no talk about either past. Epilogues at 2 years and 4 years later. Can't wait for the next in the series. Who will it be? Drake, Bridger or Travis? Doesn't matter. I love these guys.

Claiming Her by Tory Baker. 3.5 ⭐️.
this book is SHORT…. it seems there was already a past between the two main characters that we did not get to see and it BUGGED the hell out of me. it felt very rushed , but the s}x scenes were there for sure , but the book definitely didn’t click with me. i liked it. don’t get me wrong , but i just wanted more i guess. more details. for sure.

I really enjoyed reading this book and couldn't wait to get stuck into this series. I've read books by this author and I always like the way that she writes and her stories always flow beautifully. This book is the beginning of a new series that this author is writing and it was a great book and I honestly cant wait to read the next installment in this series, its going to be hot.
I read this book in one sitting as I just couldn't get enough of Slade and Taylor and there journey. Slade owns and and works at NightHawk Security and he gets sent on a job that will change his life forever, his best friends sister needs him. Slade has made a promise to his best friend that he will keep his sister safe at all cost and that is what he is willing to do.
Taylor is an awesome, feisty beautiful woman that works at the courthouse and when her life starts to get threatened Slade takes over and does everything he can to protect her.
Slade and Taylor have had unspoken feelings for each other and for along time neither of them has ever said anything and now life has thrown them both together can the feelings that they have both had inside for so long finally come out?
The characters in this book have very hot sizzling chemistry and I just couldn't take my eyes from them both. This book is quick read that will keep you guessing about where the story is going and its a real romance suspense book that you will love. I loved how protective that Slade is over Taylor and the love deep inside of him is spilling over, and I loved how Taylor's character was a strong and gorgeous woman. We did meet Slade and the NightHawk Security team in the Never Letting Go book but in this book we get to see a lot more about who he is and its awesome. I always love books that have epilogues to as I always love that extra special bit to the story and where everyone is now. I cant wait to read the next in this series, awesome.

Tory Baker is brand spanking new to me but I'm really liking what I read in this new book. I'll be honest, sometimes I want a quicker, insta-everything, easier type of book to take my mind off of things and Claiming Her by this author hit that need to a T in the right moment.
This is a first standaoone in the new Nighthawk Security series and this novella is sure to heat you up on a cool night and leave you wanting so much more by the end.
If you like your books quick, easy, and over the top with yummy alphas then this is the romance for you.
I definitely recommend this book.

Claiming Her by Tory Baker is the First book in the Nighthawk Security Series. This is the story of Slade and Taylor. Taylor is Slade's best friends sister so she is off limits to him but that hasn't stopped his desire for her but he wont act on it. Taylor too has been crazy about Slade but besides that secret she has another one that lands her in danger. This is when Travis (best friend/brother) calls in a favor to go to Taylor and help protect her this just puts them both to closer to each other. Enjoyed their story and hope to read more from this author.

Oh Slade! This is a friend’s sister forbidden romance. But with Taylor and Slade’s chemistry, it was hard for them not to give in. Add in a little danger with a stalker in the midst, and you have a steamy, suspenseful romance.

This was my first read by Tory Baker and I am impressed! I love a good series and Claiming Her is definitely a great start! Best friends sister trope that doesn’t seem overly cliched. Very excited to continue the series.

Claiming Her has just became my new favorite book from Tory. Loved, loved it!!
I mean who does not enjoy the falling in love with your friends sister? Slade has always had the hots for his buddies sister Taylor. Who in turn has always liked him but never thought he would feel the same. Loved how he made his way in was protecting her. I absolutely love protective guys. The chemistry between the two is hot, the banter back and forth kept me turning the page.
Overall I do believe Claiming Her has become my new favorite, but the rest of Slade's team gets a book so, guess I will have to wait and see.

Claiming Her was a ton of fun! Slade has always had a thing for his buddy's sister, Taylor. He knew she was off limits but the feelings he had for her were only going to be leashed for so long. Taylor always had feelings for Slade but never imagined he felt the same. When she gets some weird letters in the mail from a stalker, she had no idea her brother would put Slade onto the situation. Slade sees this as an opportunity to get close to Taylor and finally let her know how he feels. He is done waiting. I love the banter between these two! Taylor doesn't hold back and Slade loves every minute of it. There was a nice thread of the stalker to up the tension in the situation but as always the main focus is the romance between them. The rest of Slade's team are going to get their own stories, I'm sure and I can't wait to see them all fall in love!

Claiming her is a fast paced romantic suspense that will have you simultaneously on the edge of your seat and fanning yourself. This brother’s best friend read starts out immediately jumping in to Slade and Taylor’s story and doesn’t slow down at all.Taylor and Slade have electric chemistry, a sweet love and a fantastic connection. I honestly really enjoyed these two together.

Wow what an awesome start of a new series😍😍😍 I loved how Slade was so freaking cute, hot and possessive. He was for a few years in love with Taylor, now he made finally his move. The hot security guard and former soldier finally got his HEA. Taylor was independent and sassy and was head over heels in love with Slade as well. They made such a great couple.❤❤❤❤ This story was sweet, romantic and steamy as heck. Can't wait for the other guys to get their HEA.

Claiming Her is another must read from the talented author Tory Baker. This story was full of fabulous banter, sexy chemistry and real emotion. I enjoyed this book so much and couldn't put it down. Loved every minute of Slade Chavez and Taylor Daniels story!!!Can't wait to read more about the other sexy guys in the Nighthawk Security group.

Wow! The steaminess coming off Slade and Taylor is burning hot! Their story was great. It had a little thrill, some action and a whole lot of heat. And it sets us up for more stories from the rest of the Nighthawk Security team.

Slade and Taylor's story was packed full of yummy treats: brother's best friend romance, Slade runs a Security business AND is ex military, there is some suspense and intrigue wrapped in with Taylor getting creepy letters, oh AND if that's not enough Taylor is a strong independent woman who dishes out sass like it's 2nd nature, my kind of lady.
I'm enjoying getting to know the characters in this series and feel invested in each of them and find myself looking forward to their stories.

Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read. I absolutely love it.
Slade and Taylor know each other through her brother Travis. Slade and Travis were in the Navy together, Taylor sent care packages to her brother. She always included something just for Slade. Now Travis sends Slade an email that Taylor’s in trouble and needs his help. Slade has avoided Taylor for three years. He only watches from afar, he thinks she’s to good for him. Travis sends his sister a message to get to Nighthawk Security, that Slade is waiting for her. So she heads there after work. He takes her into his office and they talk about the letters she’s been receiving. He tells her he wants to see the letter so when she gets up to go home she sees another one in her purse. Slade takes it to have it annualized. Slade and Taylor decide to stay at his place so he can watch her. They first go to her condo so she can get the other letter and a few of her things. Taylor get settled into Slade’s home, and order dinner. Afterward they both head to bed he can hear her through the paper thin walls. He heads to her bedroom to make sure she’s alright. She tells him she’s cold and then ask if he’ll sleep with her. The next morning Taylor wakes and tells Slade she needs to take her birth control pill and he tells her he’s going to make breakfast. They flirt while eating breakfast, Slade tells her he wants to wait until her brother come home to tell him about them. He tells her that someone will be around to pick her up and drop her off at work. When Slade gets to the office he finds out Taylor’s stalker left a letter on her door. After they arrive at Slade’s house, they workout together, she’s running on the treadmill and he’s lifting weights. When she tells him she done for the day he taps his lap for her to come sit on it. When she does he tells her he want her to undress for him, so she does. He pleasures her then takes her to the shower. Over the next week they explore each other bodies. Slade and Drake head to watch over Taylor’s condo to see if anyone shows up. He call her to let her know he headed there and ask if she needs anything. She finds out he has a key to her place. What Slade finds in Taylor drawer had her blushing and he claims her as his and she claim him as hers. They get physical with each other and then they tell each other they love each other. Three weeks pass and two more letter come. Slade has an appointment he can’t get out of so he ask Leo to pick up Taylor. Slade send her a message telling her Leo’s picking her up. He doesn’t show up, and Eric a security guard tells her Leo told him to take her to Slade. She refuses to go, when she tries to escape him he back hands her and knocks her out. Slade meeting runs late and he finds, Travis, Bridger and Drake waiting on him. They let him know she was taken. Leo had to go in for surgery as he was shot. They contact Easton, so he can trace her phone. Slade tells Travis they need to talk after she is safe. They come up with a plan to get Taylor to safety. Slade takes her to the ER just to make sure she’s alright. The other head there too to see how Leo is doing. Taylor is release and goes to find the others and see Leo. Taylor and Slade run into Travis and she tells them she going someplace else if they’re going to fight. Slade lets him get one punch in, then they start throwing punches. Bridger step in to stop them. Slade tells Travis he’s asking her to marry him soon and he hopes they get his blessing. Travis forgives them both shortly after that. Two years later Taylor gives birth to twins one girl, Grace and one boy, Grayson. Four years later, they now have nine month old Gavin and Taylor tells Slade she doesn’t want anymore kids. He tells her if that’s what she wants he’ll go under the knife. She tells him she like it just the five of them.

Claiming Her is the trope I eat up like ice cream on a hot day! I love the falling-in-love-with-a-sibling's best friend/teammate/co-worker. There's just something about the trope that draws me in like nothing else....Claiming Her was no different. Slade had admired, liked and wanted Taylor for a while--ever since he and her brother, Travis, were deployed together. Getting glimpses of Taylor through packages and glimpses of video calls wasn't enough for Slade during deployment. When Slade left the military and established his security business he did so in Taylor's town so he could keep track of Taylor from a distance. Slade always thought Travis would disapprove of his relationship with his sister, but when Travis calls on his friend to protect Taylor, the obstacles disappear for Slade. Slade was protective and completely under Taylor's spell but still had the hot alpha gene that he let out to play that was scorching! Taylor was sweet and somewhat naive, but not afraid to go after the man she loved. I love the Nighthawk Security bunch and can't wait for the other stories to be released. Another great read! If you love hot alphas and sexy/sweet heroines, then grab the Nighthawk Security series as it releases (or any of Tory's other books)! This is an alpha bunch that will twist your panties in the most delicious way!

This was a short story. I think because it was so short, everything between the main characters had to happen really fast. They already had history with one another .. as in they knew one another but that was really it. Well, and Slade had been keeping an eye on her.
I really like the dual point of view but I wish we got to know what was in the letters. We really only got to see one of the letters, and it wasn't too bad. He just said he knew where she was, who she was with. But other than that, what kind of letters was she getting that she reached out to her brother? So I wish that had been shared.
Some of the main characters interactions were super cheesy. Like the things they said to one another I couldn't picture actually being said. IDK. I thought it was because of how fast everything moved, but even if it had been slower build up, I feel like some of that ish would've been super corny. The spice in this wasn't really that great. It was more glossed over than anything. Like yeah we knew they were having sex, but other than mentioning that they were going to have sex or did have sex, the sex scenes were severely lacking

What can I say besides, I want more. Tory Baker has left me with wanting to hear more about these alpha males. This is my first book by this author and I will be reading more.
This is the first book in the Nighthawk Security series and what a way to start. The love story between Slade and Taylor was a mixture of hot and sweet. Slade is a broody, grouchy ex marine, who has been in love with his best friend's sister for years. He has always known she was his. Taylor is in trouble and he knows he is the only one who can help her.
Taylor is holding a massive secret from Slade, she has been in love with him her years. Now she needs his help (at the assistance of her brother).
The characters and plot are well written. Taylor is a strong and sassy women, who I absolutely adored. Slade, what can I say, hot alpha male who truly melts my heart. This is the first book in the Nighthawk Security series and what a way to start. The love story between Slade and Taylor was a mixture of hot and sweet. Slade is a broody, grouchy ex marine, who has been in love with his best friend's sister for years. He has always known she was his. Taylor is in trouble and he knows he is the only one who can help her.
Taylor is holding a massive secret from Slade, she has been in love with him her years. Now she needs his help (at the assistance of her brother).

Claiming Her is the perfect read in my eyes as it has everything that I crave in books. Slade's ex-military (yummy) who now has his own business, Nighthawk Security. His best friend reaches out to see if Slade can keep an eye on his sister as she seems to have a stalker. Taylor is Travis' sister who is a feisty heroine that I couldn't get enough of. She & Slade have a ton of chemistry but you already know bro code will bring on the complications, though that chemistry won't be denied for too long. AND there's that stalker who is escalating as stalkers tend to do, so the twists are coming around every corner so I'm dropping big time f-bombs while the action amps up to new levels! I was pulled right into this super story. The story has secrets, pain, danger, and suspense.
This is Taylor and Slade’s story. Slade was asked by Travis his best friend who is Taylor’s brother to help her out. Slade has had feelings for Taylor for a while and when he needs to protect her all those feeling is about to come out. The chemistry is there, and they fall hard and fast. But they still must figure out the danger. Can he figure it out before she gets hurt? What happens when her brother finds out they are together? Will they have a future?
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
