Rate this book
Find happiness by embracing your perfectly imperfect self.

This inspiring journal is designed to help you find your way in a world where comparison and judgement can make it hard to stay true to yourself. Using a mixture of prompts, tick boxes and space to write down thoughts, as well as uplifting quotes and thought-provoking words, this beautifully designed book by the creator of The Happy News will help you feel more confident in yourself and less anxious about what other people think.

With advice on using social media in a positive way, embracing failure, celebrating your differences and finding people who make you feel happy, this book is designed to help you be kinder to yourself. Because when you embrace your insecurities, differences, and everything that makes you unique, you’ll realise that the only person you need to be is your strong, special, perfectly imperfect self.

"Sprinkling a tiny bit of happiness all over the planet"
Emily Coxhead is a British designer, illustrator and happy thing maker! She is also a graduate of Manchester School of Art, and the founder, director, creator and promoter of The Happy Newspaper. Based in a small village in Lancashire, the simple aim of this entrepreneur is to make the world a happier place.

The concept for The Happy Newspaper which was first published in December 2015 began as a small idea when Emily realised the effect that the news was having on her especially whilst she was going through a difficult time herself.

Testament to her success, in September 2018 Emily was featured in The Independent newspaper’s Happy List which acknowledges 50 inspirational heroes who do extraordinary things for others, and who deserve to be celebrated for their kindness, courage and selflessness.

Such a lovely book, like your own personal cheerleader.
It's full of encouragement and helps combat any feelings of loneliness because Emily's words are very kind, empathetic and understanding.
I dog-earred some activities to go back to, and love the quotes throughout. I especially loved the colouring pages, as it encouraged downtime in my days :)

This is a really cute book for a starter in mental health care. It has beautiful illustrations and colors, and also sweet messages. It is an activity book that can be useful in all ages. Consider that this is just an introduction, however if you enjoy cute designs, it is one of those books that give you a bit of happiness just by opening it up.

"... but you are so loved; whenever you feel a little lost you must remember that and remind those you love as often as you can too. Stay true to yourself.

A cute book I like to dip in and out of every now and then. It’s a reminder to ourselves that while things may feel like crap, things will get better. This book also has areas for you to fill in which can be used to remind you on your down days that you have seen happiness and you will see it again. So many wonderful and colourful quotes too!

I spent the whole morning doing this journal. I never knew this kind of exercise I needed on my healing journey. My favourite part is writing a letter to my younger self, filling in some pages with colourings and listing the positive accounts I followed on social media.

(also shed.. A LOT of tears lol)

May Allah bless my friend, Raf, for gifting me this book. :')
