Gabriel Broussard grew up in the swamp, wild and free, fun-loving and accident prone.
At sixteen years old, his life was changed forever when his beloved parents were killed and he was sent to live with his heartbroken grandparents.
Gabe didn't find what he needed there, but he did find it a few miles away, deep in the swamps of New Orleans in a clubhouse full of Jokers.
Gabe's life becomes all about Harley's, parties and women, but when he's shot in an attack on his club, fate will launch him head first towards his first real love, and into the adventure of a lifetime.
Patrice Leboux just met the man of her dreams, and that led to the discovery that her entire life had been a twisted road of lies and deceit.
She would soon come face to face with the man who had given her life, but claims to not know she ever existed.
When the rough, tattooed biker denies remembering her mother as well, Patrice is ready to write him off...that is until she realizes she might just need him, to solve her mother's murder.
Gabe and Patrice are connected by more than their feelings for each other. The infamous president of The New Orleans Jokers will be at the center of their love story whether they like it or not, and once Blackheart is involved, they both better be ready for the ride of their lives.
Gabe has looked to the Joker’s MC Prez, Blackheart, as a father figure at the club and was just as shocked as anyone when his girlfriend, Patrice, approached Blackheart and told him that she thought he was her biological father. She definitely looked like him but Blackheart had been with so many women that he couldn’t place who her mother might be even after she showed him a picture of her mother.
I loved this book between of the loving and loyal man that Gabe was with still being loyal to his MC. Patrice was the beautiful, determined and strong woman who needed answers as to how her mother died. There were so many twists and turns in this book that it had my head spinning at times all the while watching the growing relationships between Gabe and Patrice and Patrice and Blackheart.
If you haven’t read Blackheart grab that first and then get on to Gabriel’s book. These are a great addition to any MC lover’s TBR lists. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series.
I have to say we are really enjoying this new series and its characters this current story enticed you right from the beginning and kept you glued to the pages to the very end. The story had a lot of unfinished business and a whole lot of betrayals and Blackheart is the kind of man that hates unfinished business but, not only that when something just doesn't seem right with the death of Kayla Patrice mother no stone will be un-turned into the mystery surrounding her death is solved.
Patrice was just one of those characters who you absolutely loved instantly she was a pit bull, opinionated, strong, independent, fierce, and had no problem standing up for herself and she had no problem standing up to Blackheart and all his scariness. My kind of girl!
Gabe -poor poor Gabe and his misfortunes but, those misfortunes lead him to the love of his life. I have to say that I felt a bit sorry for him as his women is going to be a handful and he will never have a dull life that is for sure and if he thinks he will be able to tame that Philly to fit into club life he can think again.lol
Overall we really enjoyed the story.I loved that we had and inkling who could have been involved with what happened to Patrice's mom but, not to the extent it unfolded to and we love when that happens. I have to say my heart really went out to Patrice in the fact she never got to know the women who gave her life because all that we learned of her was that she was such a beautiful person inside and out. I am waiting to see when reality really sets in to see what kind of father Blackheart is going to be because man does that man scare the crap out of even me with all his fierceness and dominating ways as we only have seen a flicker of any kind of sign that the man is even human is when it comes to his women Sally but, the truth of it all is he does have one because you just have to look at all he did for Gabe and his family even though you may never be able to prove it. Time will tell will we see a softer version of Blackheart? I am so looking forward to finding out and I am so looking forward to his war on wearing Sally down to become his wife and an old lady.
Welcome to New Orleans, one of my favorite book spots by the way, and Jessie Cooke’s 2nd book in her new fabulous, The Jokers MC series. This book deals with Gabriel, a patched member of the Jokers MC and Patrice, who may or may not be the daughter of the Jokers President, Blackheart. I’m a huge fan of Ms. Cooke’s writing and this series is one of the reasons why. I love the atmosphere and character of the New Orleans locale...so much history and mystery. And as always Ms. Cooke provides her readers with some of the best book heroes and their significant others. Gabriel is sweet and loyal and caring and Patrice is determined, stubborn and loving...perfect for each other. Loving this world of voodoo, intrigue and old world charm, can’t wait to see what Ms. Cooke comes up with next. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
A quick read which I enjoyed, though I felt it could have used more emotion. Gabriel and Patrice made a good couple, supporting each other, and she helped him become more of an independent man. Patrice's past become the Jokers' present, and they worked together to put it to rest. It was interesting to see all the connections between these characters become stronger and make them more of a family.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
Gabriel is a member of the Jokers MC and looks to the club prez Blackheart as a father figure. His girlfriend Patrice finds out a shocking secret that she may be Blackhearts daughter. She is trying to find out what happened to her mother. The relationship with Patrice and Gabe is solid. Patrice and Blackheart begin to develop a closer relationship as father/daughter. A great series and book with plenty of twists and turns.
I fell in love with Gabe’s story from the beginning! This book had all of the feel good elements- danger, drama, suspense, romance, mystery and secrets. Gabe and Patrice together have a relationship where they will do anything and everything for each other. The lies, twists and secrets had me flipping the pages to find out what happens. I can’t wait for the next installment of this action packed and suspenseful series!!
Sweet Baby Jesus I loved this book. I loved the first one with Blackheart and Sally in it but Gabe and Patrice gave them a run for their money. There was suspense and lots of romance and a roller coaster of a ride with Patrice and Gabe.
Patrice meets Gabe in the hospital she works for and they hit it off and Gabe asks her out when he is healed. Patrice agrees to go out with him because she feels something for him and she is not sure what it is yet. Only Patrice finds out something about her life and she needs Gabe's help and he agrees to help her out.
This is where the story gets good and there is so much that happens to Gabe and Patrice that it is one hell of a roller coaster ride. So go on and one click this bad boy and enjoy the ride with Gabe and Patrice!
Well this is a really good book! Lots of action, twists & romance. I really like Blackheart. The Jokers MC are a close knit group and you will see just how they have each other’s acts without question. I can’t wait for the next book
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
An incredible new installment to the Jokers MC series. Blackheart has a daughter he knew nothing about. Patrice shows up as she is starting to get to know Gabriel. Things move along quite a bit before who she is comes out. They are both too far in by that point to be able to call things off though the involvement of Blackheart sure does make things interesting to say the least. Add in some danger as life moves on as well as lots of steam to get an MC romance you won't want to put down. A total must read for fans of the genre. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
Love this New Orleans - Louisiana Bayou area MC storyline. Once again Ms. Cooke has enticed this reader with legends of the swamp, the cajun culture and of course the New Orleans Parish, Jokers MC run by the notorious, sexy Blackheart. This is Gabe’s story. He is a member of the Jokers MC that Blackheart took under his wing during his teens when his parents were killed. Blackheart is like a father figure to Gabe as well as his Prez. While in the hospital (from an incident in book 1) Gabe meets Patrice, one of his nurses. They hit it off quite well. Little do they know that both their worlds are fixing to be turned upside down by their chance meeting. Patrice learns a lot more than just the fact Gabe is a member of the Jokers, she soon learns her whole life has been a lie. Her parents are not her parents. In fact she finds out her mother was murdered when she was only 8 months old and her father just might be Blackheart himself. Sadly Blackheart doesn’t remember the one nighter he had years ago with her mother and he sure a Heck didn’t kill the woman. But Blackheart is determined to find out just exactly who Patrice is, who killed her mother and why he is just now learning he might have a grown daughter.
Will this exciting and emotional road lead to a happy ending? Is Patrice with Gabe just to get close to the man who might be her father or is their budding romance leading to a HEA? I Highly Recommend this addition to the Jokers MC series and I can’t wait for Maddox's story to hit the shelves next. While it can be read as a standalone, this reader suggests reading Blackheart, Book 1 of The Wild Ones, Jokers MC Series first for a much better reading experience as the characters and their stories do overlap.
Gabriel is the second in the Wild Ones series by Jesse Cooke set in New Orleans, the bayou, and other flavorful locales. We met Gabriel in Blackheart's book; he was wounded doing work for the club. He and the young nurse who took care of Gabriel, Patrice, give us our cliffhanger by announcing that she is Blackheart's daughter.
Patrice is a fiery young lady who not only looks like her daddy but acts like him too. We get the back story of how she came to be, and it is a sad and tragic story, but it gives us a mystery. Much like in the previous book, the author gives us a delightful puzzle for the Jokers to handle while you are getting the rest of the story and some sweet romance. Along with all this are some amusing banter, more of Sally and Blackheart's evolving relationship, and more background on the other club members. We learned of this thread of the story in Blackheart, and that thread continues in Gabriel's book. I'm finding one of the things I enjoy about this series is the continued development of characters and storylines as the series progresses.
Gabriel is a sweet biker boy who is accident-prone but faithful and true to his MC. He looks to Blackheart as a mentor and/or big brother and is loyal to a fault. He encounters friction when loyalties to Patrice and Blackheart are tested, but that is just the evolving story of the Joker MC from New Orleans. You need to read the books about this unique bunch of people so you can enjoy this spicy taste of the bayou. Trust me, this unique bunch of folks and their stories are only going to evolve as Jesse Cooke continues this series.
Terrific second story in this exciting MC series set in one of my favorite locales. Love N'awlings and all its party culture and spooky color. This was a little tame compared to the first story but all the fabulous brothers and the amazing Sally were present along with the one and only Blackheart. That sexy beast of a President of the Jokers. One of the young cubs he took under his wing, Gabriel, is in love for the first time and with Blackheart's surprise daughter, Patrice. She's the feisty nurse that helped Gabe back on his feet after his run in with criminals in the first story. But Patrice comes with some baggage in the form of a decades old mystery surrounding her mother's death. She asks Blackheart if he remembers anything about his one-night stand with her mother but he comes up empty. But in true Blackheart fashion he doesn't leave Patrice and Gabe on their own to solve the mystery. This is a quick, easy read with a sweet and sexy romance as the young lovers become closer on the hunt for the answers to her mother's demise. The MC jumps in to help and it becomes clear that not only does Patrice look exactly like Blackheart she shares a few of his traits. Their chase for the truth leads the groups out of state and an unsuspecting tie to the Jokers is uncovered along with a dangerous foe. There's a surprise twist at the end that I didn't see coming along with Blackheart's favorite form of justice. Love that crazy Cajun! This is shaping up to be a thrilling MC series that's a little unique with a few peculiarities that could only come from the Cajun lifestyle. Beautiful covers! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
Gabriel is the 2nd book in the Joker's MC series by Jessie Cooke. I wasn't really sold on this series with book 1 Blackheart but oh my has she stepped this series up with this book. I am not saying Blackheart wasn't good it was just kind of slow or me. I love Jessie Cooke's books and I also love that she connects other series into every book, she also adds to her character lists but keeps the old ones around as well and you get to follow them like old friends.
In this book Gabriel is the star. He was adopted by the MC after his parents deaths and has been pretty much raised in the MC. Now he is a full patched member. He also has a girlfriend, Patrice, who unbeknownst to him is about to turn some members upside down, especially the MC President Blackheart. One night Gabriel is partying to hard and has to much to drink. Patrice goes to Blackheart and tells him she is his daughter and wants his help to find out who murdered her mother when she was just a baby, that is if he didn't do it himself. Blackheart who doesn't remember the one night stand with her mother but can see the resemblance to her of himself, and agrees to help.
As with all of Jessie Cooke's books there is twists & turns, danger and romance. Some sex and lots of Biker bad language but I loved it all.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Gabriel was raised in the Jokers MC after his parents' death - but when he has to choose between his President and the girl he has fallen in love with - he tries to take care of everyone. Patrice grew up with a perfect suburban life... or lie. And the only man who can help her solve it - is the one man she doesn't ever want to go to for help.
This had to be one of the strangest ARCs I have done in a while. The couple was established before the book started... the hero from book one (that I didn't hate but isn’t as interesting to me as the author thinks...) had a huge storyline that felt like it dominated the entire book, making the pairing in this book seem like side characters.
The actual pair that this book is about - were cute. Gabriel is kind of a sweetie who has to make some serious choices and wants to just take care of everyone. Patrice is a strong heroine and is stubborn AF and I liked her more than I thought I would. Blackheart is incredibly static and has not changed since book one... And I didn't get any sassy Sally so I am not sure why I needed so much Blackheart...
Whilst Gabe is recovering in hospital he meets Patrice who agrees to going out with him once hes healed up. Blackheart the club pres has been like a father to Gabe since he lost his parents but when he meets Patrice he final feels complete. Only Patrice's past has many unanswered questions when it comes to light the people who brought her up arent her biological family and her mum was murdered when she was just a baby but also she could be Blackhearts daughter her life begins to spiral. Blackheart doesnt remember this one night stand but hes determined to find out the truth about Patrice and her mother. Another great installment to the Jokers MC series, with as many twists and turns as the first book your in for a bumpy emotional ride! Well written with great in depth characters that take you on a whirlwind tour of their life!

Gabriel and his girlfriend, Patrice, are trying to solve the death of her mother, Kasey. Patrice has told the Jokers MC club President, Blackheart, that she believe she is his daughter. Blackheart can’t help but notice how much Patrice looks like him and after looking over the police file on Kasey’s death, he has suspicions she may be right on all accounts. Blackheart agrees to look into Kasey’s death but Patrice is just as stubborn as Blackheart & refuses to be left on the sidelines. The more they dig the more lies they uncover & as Patrice learns more about how much Kasey loved her with her zest for life, the more the story of Kasey’s “suicide” stars to come unraveled. Gabe is there to support Patrice every step of the way as he tries to keep the peace between his dedication to the club and the girl he loves. When the truth is finally revealed, it hits closer to home than any of them saw coming.
I received an ARC of this book via Book Sprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The Joker MC may be tough in many ways but they don't abuse their women. Book one we the meet Blackheart, the President, who finds his old flame from so many years ago. He's got her now--sort of. In this one, Gabriel, his--sort of--adopted son and patched member finds his woman who has been brutalized. She just may be more to the club then they know.
Patrice comes to the club to ask them for help finding if her mother really committed suicide. Besides the death, Gabrial is severely bitten by an alligator (this takes place near New Orleans) trying to rescue a brother who has been beaten by a rival gang/club.
There is plenty of intrigue, history, steam, and interesting characters that should make for more great reads in the series. The author never disappoints and just knowing she wrote it means it's gonna be a good one. And it is.
I gotta say that I'm really loving the amazingly talented Jessie Cooke's newest series, Jokers MC a whole hell of a lot! Gabe is a younger member who catches feelings for Patrice, a girl with a complicated family situation. They have serious chemistry which explodes into some super sexy times to fog up the kindle screen. Then there's the twists & turns which had me on the edge of my seat while dropping loud f-bombs all over the place. I know this sounds cryptic but I just don't want to give anything pertinent away in this review. Finally to round this awesome story out is the action of situations going south that had my heart racing like crazy. This was a fantastic addition to this series that y'all need to hit those one click buttons to experience for yourselves! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
"I had some issues about this story. It’s just that I wasn’t sure what to expect abut Gabriel’s story because Blackheart, book one, wasn’t what I thought it was going to be. Yes, I did adored him in book one but I did hesitate about reading it but let’s be honest not liking a book so much doesn’t mean others of the same author aren’t good. This is what happened to me even though book one wasn’t really good to me. Gabriel’s book was the complete opposite.
Gabriel and Patrice’s story had drama, action, mystery, suspense and lots of secrets full of twist and turns. All the intensity behind their story kept me on the edge and turning pages so quick. It had me completely hooked! I absolutely fell in love with both of them. Together they were fascinating and so utterly perfect to each other.
Book two was phenomenal. I'm looking forward for the next installment in the series.”
In the last book Gabe’s girlfriend dropped a bomb on Blackheart telling him she is his daughter. But first there is some trouble with a rivals MC some of there members came into the joker’s territory and raped a girl that works for them but she was also one of the Joker’s after finding three of the rappers chance has found the last one her call Gabe for help but before Gabe can get there chance is attacked and left in the swamp to die. But Gabe get there and while try to get him to somewhere for help he almost get killed to by a gator. But now Blackheart is investigating Patrice mothers death and she isn’t going to be left behind. So enjoy another good read and see what they find out !!
This is the 2nd book in this series and is Gabriel and Patrice’s story. Gabriel is a sweet and loyal patched in member of the Joker’s who practically raised him, and Patrice is strong and stubborn which makes them the perfect complement for each other. Patrice is looking for answers into her mom’s death, and she approaches Blackheart as she may or may not be his daughter. This is a beautifully written story which has an intricate and in-depth plot and is action packed, and filled with lies, deceit, loyalty, twists, and love. I cannot wait to read more from this author whose work I highly recommend for all MC lovers.
The second book in The Jokers MC Louisiana tells Gabriel and Patrice's story. Patrice is Gabriel's nurse when he was in the hospital and the two of them can't get enough of each other. Patrice is also seeking information about her father, Blackheart, the President of the Jokers. This is a sweet story with sadness dispersed throughout. Patrice is trying to find out what happened to her mother and the help she needs is going to have to come from Blackheart. Everything Patrice ever knew and grew up with is all a lie and Gabriel will be the one to help her through it. This is a great fast paced read.
My rating is 5 stars for a book well written. It has you hooked from beginning to end and waiting for her next one in the series. The story has alpha men in a motorcycle club family. Jessie Cooke has finally home back to old style of writing and not have half of the book a backstory. I have read almost all of her books until the she changed her writing style. I happened across the this new series and took a chance again. I read Jokers MC book 1 and book 2 in 2 days.😃 Looking forward to book 3. 🤔
Gabriel was a great follow up to Balckheart in the Jokers MC series. And I have to say I enjoyed it much more than it’s predecessor. This instalment was full of mystery from Gabriel hooking up with his president’s long lost daughter to the cover up of a murder and some MC justice tossed in for good measure. Also, I have to admit, you think you have the answer figured out from early on but nope, I was wrong and surprised (and that doesn’t happen very often). I really enjoyed Gabriel and can’t wait to get started on the next book in the series.
Oh boy i loved this story, there is a bit of mystery in this when Patrice, Blackhearts daughter, whom he never knew even existed falls for Gabe and finds out who her father really is, she suspects that he had something to do with her mothers suicide and even accuses him of murder, but its farther than the truth and so Blackheart goes searching for truths, meanwhile Gabe tries to keep Patrice calm.
I am truly loving this series and Chance is next to read.

This very well written book 2 in Jokers MC series. A fast-paced and standalone book. It will keep you on your toes from beginning to end because it has action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, intrigue, surprises, betrayal, romance, and love. This emotional roller coaster of a book will have you hanging on by the seat of your pants and not letting go until you have read the whole story. I love these types of books

Patrice and Gabe’s story took us from the swamps in Louisiana to the coast of Maine. Patrice is trying to find out if her biological mother actually committed suicide or was killed. Patrice is the biological daughter of the president of Jokers MC and the daughter of a Louisiana congressman. She was conceived during a one night stand with a busted condom. Her boyfriend Gabe is a Jokers MC member she met when he was a patient in the hospital she was a nurse at. The book was sluggish in places but worth sticking to it till the end.
I have to say that it seems Gabe and I have something in common...we're both accident prone. I loved Gabe and Patrice's story. Patrice met Gage before finding out her father is his President . Blackheart cannot deny she's his daughter because they share not only looks, but their both stubborn and full of fire. I loved that she didn't back down from him when it came to finding out the truth about her mother. Gabe and Patrice have been through a lot as children and I'm so happy they found one another.
This story is full of deceptions, but the biggest one is the one played on Blackheart's daughter. She falls in love with Gabriel and then comes face to face with deceit, she thinks her mom had an affair but the truth is much much worse. As she struggles to come to terms with the truth that her mom was her dead aunt who she thinks was murdered, she believes after reading her moms diary that Blackheart really is her real dad... He tries to help her find out what really happened to her mom. But the truth is much worse than she could ever imagine.
