One down the luck librarian met a warm gentle police officer. The book was sweet and warm. I liked how the author quite descriptive in showing us how the relationship between the MCs developed; well-developed characters and good supporting characters surely helped. It was easy for me to be drawn into their world and felt empathy for what happened to the h. It was a classic situation where the world kept beating us down and we refused to back down; struggling to stand up but definitely forcing ourselves to hang on. And those times when we gave up to find happiness, life decided to give us a break.
Relatable, sweet, warming, and definitely romantic. Everyone need one alpha H once in a while, I think. This book was all about that and not giving up hope as the old saying said "man plans and God laughs".

Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read. I absolutely love it.
Jesse meets Mindy while he’s out on patrol and she is sitting taking time for herself at the park. Mindy just finished watching her two nieces and needs a little breather. While Jesse is on patrol he spots a vehicle in the park after hours. Mindy doesn’t realize the park has closing hours and then puts her foot in her mouth several times. A week later Mindy is back at the park with her crystal rock in her hands, she had a bad day at work. He tells her she dropping something and she tells him it was just her rock. He tells her to step out of the car with her hands on her head. So she does as he asks her. He puts the handcuffs on her and starts to read her her rights. She asks him what he is doing and he tells her he’s arresting her for having crack. She asks him if he thinks she a crack head and he looks and sees she has a healing crystal rock. Jesse uncuffs Mindy then rubes her wrists for her. When she tries to leave her SUV won’t start so he tells her to pop the hood. Jesse doesn’t know much about vehicles so he calls his buddy Cruz to give her a tow. When Cruz gets there he gets it running then tells her to bring it in and he’ll give her a tune up on the house as a welcome gift. Mindy tells her sister Venessa what happened with her and the two hot guys who took care of her. Her sister laughs in hysteric over her story. They start to make breakfast for Venessa’s two girls when she realizes she’s out of syrup for the pancakes, so she sends Mindy to the store. Jesse takes donuts to Cruz at his shop, Cruz goes to make coffee but says he’s out of filter and sends Jesse to get some. When he arrives at the store he watches Mindy getting out of her vehicle. When she spots Jesse she stops and he greets her. Her sister calls and tells her she found a bottle of syrup and to explore the city. Jesse gets a call from Cruz saying he found the filters. So Jesse takes Mindy to the diner for breakfast. When they walk in they are greeted by Jesse’s mom who amuses Mindy. They spend the day driving around the mountain then having lunch together before he takes her back to her SUV. He gets off work at four in the morning and takes a chance by texting her. She answers him and he pick her up and takes her back to his place. He tells her he has off tomorrow and she does also being Sunday. She tells him she needs him and he tells her he’s hers. They make it to the bedroom and are physical all night long. Monday morning arrives and Jesse has to take Mindy back to her place so she can get to work. He tells her to come over after she is done working. She tells him she may have to babysit her nieces and he offers to help. A month later and they are taking a little vacation together. Jesse tells her he loves her and she tells him she loves him.

Beautiful love story
So loved this one of my favourites from the series. Mindy has just moved to the town after her ex boyfriend wiped out her accounts, maxed her credit cards and only because her sister had offered a place to stay she would of been homeless. Mindy has sworn off men but officer Jesse Diaz worked through the walls she had put up around her heart also around herself.
Jesse first met Mandy when she had parked at the park when it was closed and then when he thought she had dropped cocaine when she exclaimed she had dropped her rock except he had put her in handcuffs. Jesse hadn’t managed to get her of his mind and when they met outside the grocery store they spent the day together getting closer, learning about each other and crumbling those walls around Mindy’s heart he just needed to show her not everyone is like her ex.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Booked and hooked is book five in the ‘’American heroes’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Mindy is new to a small town when she meets a hot cop. After being burnt by love Mindy has no intentions of a new relationship. Will Mindy give in and give love a chance?
The chemistry between Mindy and Jesse is clear to see and I liked them together.
I loved Mindy’s reaction to meeting Jesse’s mother.
I really liked Cruz and Vanessa. I want more of them!
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.

Yet another amazing story by Mayra Statham! This book had me laughing from the very first, and kept me hooked until the very end. Mindy is loving and feisty, petite and cute, a bit of a bookworm, and a hot mess! She's prone to babble hilariously, and says just about anything that comes into her head. Quite the opposite of Jesse. He's big and built, a bit of a stickler, not quick to talk, and completely self-assured. Their first meeting is a quite the comedy, as is the next several. Giving in to their attraction, at the urging of family and friends, quickly leads to a lifetime of happiness. Full of intense chemistry, convoluted conversations, and meddling family and friends, this is definitely a book worth reading. I know I'll be reading it again! Happy Reading!

Cute, sweet, and hot. It was very insta when they met. But another week had passed before they really talk to each other and explore their growing attraction.
The H was a police officer which was very alpha in his ways but not annoying. As for the h, she was a librarian and went to that small town (due to her sister insistence) to move on from her con artist ex-bf.
It was really quick and fun with absurd plot, but I liked it anyway. Would've wish for an epilogue since the book ended in HFN.
This greatly helps with my annoyance from my previous book read. It was fun reading them together and the ridiculousness of how they started. Would've wished for additional pages though to delve into their growth as an individual and couple. Anyway, this was still a good read.

I love Mayra, not only does she write great books, but she also writes great characters. Now I don't just love this book because the Heroine and I share names, and ex with the same name and love for the same pizza (all a coincidence), but I love Mindy's quirkiness and love for books. I'm so happy that she found her HEA, when she least expected it. We all know that there is something about a man in uniform and Jesse definitely fits all of those characteristics. He was just what Mindy needed. Loved how attentive and possessive he was over Mindy. I hope we get to see more of them and their family. Can't wait to read what Mayra releases next!!!

Love finding new authors and if her books are like this one then I’m going to be a big fan!!
This is the first book I’ve ever read by this author and the blurb totally had me hooked from reading it, I had to read the whole story. Just wow what a story it was, love finding new authors and if her books are like this one then I’m going to be a big fan. Could not put this book down till I had eaten all the book up lol amazing plot with characters that not are just likeable but really grab your attention and keep you there right to the end. They also had great passion and chemistry throughout the whole book and I can’t wait for more in this series by Mayra Statham

Oh. My. Heart!!! I absolutely loved this short, sweet and hot read!! Jesse is blow away by Mindy when he first sees her, despite the little misunderstandings!!
Mindy's ramblings made me laugh out loud! But she caused to get her head around the fact that Jesse maybe attracted to her.
When they finally get on the same page, it's just beautiful! I love Insta-love and this author delivers every time! *sigh *swoon

I came across this book whilst browsing, and I have to say I love it. A sweet and entertaining read, that was also heartwarming and funny. And even though this was a short story, the storyline never felt rushed. I loved the characters. Jessie and Mindy were adorable together and they had great chemistry. Their first meeting is just really cute. Overall a enjoyable read and I can’t wait for the next book.

When Mindy sees the flashing lights behind her she thinks what a fitting end to her horrible day. That's not the end though when she just runs her mouth and the officer just can't help smirk at her.
Jesse know the first bit of sarcasm from the beautiful woman he is looking at has him transfixed on her. Witty and beautiful what more could he ask for?
Its not that easy though. Jesse needs to show Mindy love is worth opening your heart.

I have to say that this is a new to me author and I absolutely loved this book and her writing style. I can't wait for more from this "family"

If your looking for a fun, fast, easy to read, low drama, Insta-love type of story than this is it. The characters are great and the love between Jesse and Mindy felt real. The story flowed nicely and if there was any errors/typos I didn’t notice. So overall I recommend and can’t wait to find out what happens next between Cruz and Vanessa in Towed & Owned.

This was such a cute beach read. A fast paced story that will have you laughing and it will also have you falling in love. These two have a spark the instant they meet and it’s so fun watching them try and stumble into this new territory for them both. I enjoyed it. Perfect for a beach read or a quick read that makes your day better.

Loved this book!
Mindy has had a crappy time lately. She moves to her sister's small town and into her guest house. She stops at the park one night and she meets Officer Jesse Diaz. They can't stop thinking about each other. I loved this book because I felt like I was in high school again reading about these characters, they are so cute together! You have to read this!

I loved Jesse and Mindy's story . When Mindy's relationship went bad , she found out the guy she thought loved her was a Con Artist . He emptied her bank account and maxed out her credit cards before he disappeared . So Mindy left LA and in with her sister , and that's where she meets Jesse . I recommend 18 and .

This quick read had it all!
Mindy is down on her luck after her last relationship ended terribly. She is new to town and just needs a few minutes to herself after watching her nieces when Officer Diaz knocks on her car window.
The chemistry between these two is awesome. I look forward to reading the next one in this series by this author.

Booked and Hooked is exactly how to explain what this book did to me. Mindy and Jesse have an instant connection and the chemistry ignites off the pages between these two. An insta love storyline that is fast paced, hot and steamy and has you smiling from start to finish. A thoroughly entertaining story that makes you laugh and fall in love.

I fell in love with Mindy and Jesse from chapter one. Loved her sassy and his caveman. The was such a sexy, fun read. I am a huge Mayra fan and have read all her books. She never disappoints. Each story is better than the last. Can’t wait to see what’s next

Had the makings of a 5 star book. Loved the beginning. Then about 60% through the h had a complete personality shift I guess to speed up the story progression. Then the book ended abruptly and didn’t feel complete. It was just really unfulfilling.

I love how they are a bit instant but not so OTT, there’s still a building of trust that I like. I also enjoy the respect both characters show each other, no silly drama. Straight out sweet romance. Nothing wrong with that.

Okay, this totally wasn't the usually librarian love story. I loved this spicy librarian cop love. Like I didn't know I needed it until this book. Mayra gave me the right enough backstory that I wasn't asking for more information. Definitely a fan! This was good for me.
