If you can’t fall in love in Paris, where can you?Emily Chambers ran away to Paris to heal her broken heart. Because, really, where better to do that than the city of love? Just her luck she finds the perfect crush in a French tour guide… Just in time to bid him adieu. That’s okay. A few perfect days together and a few swoon worthy memories to last her forever, she’ll take that. Only… Emily finds herself toting home something a little more permanent than her Eiffel Tower key-chain. Nick Wyatt wasn’t looking for love but that’s exactly what he finds in a bubbly, doe-eyed, big-hearted brunette. Problem is, she’s leaving in a few days. Bigger problem is she thinks he’s a French tour-guide named Jean-Luc. A not-so-chance reunion two years later leads to a second chance. This time he’s not letting her slip through his fingers.
Amelie/Emily and Jean-Luc/Nick meet in Paris and each give each other a fake name. They figure they’ll just have Paris and their memories. Unknowingly, Emily returns home with a memento of their time. About two years later, they see each other again, but Emily flees. Nick follows and thus begins their new journey. I won’t leave any spoilers but I have to say, in my honest opinion, I didn’t really care for Nick and Emily wasn’t much better. This is just my opinion, so grab your copy and decide for yourself.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
I really enjoyed this story of Emily and Wyatt. It was romantic, fun and realistic.
Emily was heartbroken over a relationship she tried with her too much into himself best friend since practically birth.
She ran off to see Paris!
She meets an irresistible tour guide and falls head over heels in love. The tour guide...doesn’t exactly tell the truth.
Fast forward two years and he can’t get Emily out of his head and heart. They happen upon each other, truths come out and a few more hidden importances are avoided.
He fights for her. She fights to avoid him.
They have a lot to overcome, a lot to accept, but love fights through.

Emily and Nick meet in Paris. She is there to get over a break up and he is there to figure out what to do with his life. They both decide to use false names and it comes back to bite them later on.
It's a second chance romance because Nick and Emily do end up meeting each other again back in the US after a couple of years, but there are big changes in their lives they have to deal with. I loved how each of their families provided great support to both Emily and Nick as they dealt with their issues while they were separated. I hope we can get an update on them in the next book about Maggie!

I enjoyed this heartwarming and emotional contemporary romance that kept me entertained and intrigued from start to finish with realistic characters and story. I liked the instant attraction and undeniable chemistry between Emily Chambers who heads to Paris to heal her broken heart and Nick Wyatt who she at first believes is Jean-Luc, her French angel. This is the first book I have read by Marie McKinney but it definitely won't be the last because I look forward to more from this talented author. If you enjoy smartly written, realistic contemporary romance, don't miss "After Paris". I received an advance reader copy of this book from Book Sirens and am voluntarily leaving my review.
This book is beautiful. Emily and Nick met in Paris, both of them under false pretenses. They have an affair with some lasting consequences. They meet again two years later and have to really open up this time for them to have a chance.
The main characters are deep and real, the dialogs are well written and meaningful. The love between them like a fairy tale perfect. I really like both of them, but Nick absolutely stole my heart. For all romantics out there, this one is awesome. I received an ARC of this book and all the opinions are my own
She is trying to repair her broken heart; he has his own reasons for being in Paris. A chance meeting brings them together, both are using false names but enjoying their time. Neither forgets the other and as their paths cross again 2 years later. The little white lies come back to haunt them. Emily/Amelia and Jean-Luc/Nick have their Paris love story and more, they just need to get past the secrets. Their story is filled with chemistry, emotion, drama, and love. I recommend the book!

This was a fun romance with enough realism to make you believe it could happen to you. McKinney delivered a well-developed plot and developed characters that were relatable. Emily is heartbroken. Nick is not looking for love. But between the romantic pull of Paris and a second chance love finds a home in these two. The story turned out to be a second chance romance and I really enjoyed it. It makes me think about a fella or two that I possibly let get away. I recommend this book to anyone wanting a light-hearted second chance romance.
I really enjoyed this story. It had heart ache that you escape to Paris. A Paris romance that stays with you long after you leave. And the realities of life when you get home.
I understood the main characters pain and frustration. And I was so taken with this story that I went to find another by this author.
If you like love, romance and just how complicated life can be you will enjoy this story.
There are so many reasons why you should absolutely read this book, a world wind romance in Paris, isn’t there anything more wonderful, more romantic. What started as a little white lie came back to bite them. I absolutely fell in love with Amelia et Jean-Luc story filled with drama, emotional moments, strong family/ friendships and very stupid mistake. Secrets can easily break trust and love. I just love a good romance read, I highly recommended this one.
A beautiful, steamy romance with all of the feels of a 2nd chance romance (my favorite trope) that begins with secrets, ends with secrets and yet brings their love together. Loved it!❤❤❤❤❤ I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
A break-up leads to a trip to Paris and a chance meeting. He's not who he says he is but then neither is she. They can't forget about each other after she goes home. He needs to figure out who he is and she gets a surprise. And then another chance meeting. The story drew me in and I just wanted to keep reading. Well written and edited. I look forward to reading more from this author. I received an ARC copy for an honest review.
