Ruby and Bee's story was just delicious! I really enjoyed reading it and can't wait to read more! Now I'm off to bake some cookies or even cupcakes because that cover is mouthwatering!
After spending a week-long vacation at the Tomahawk Trail Campgrounds, Ruby and Bee are back in Muffin. They were hired by Mrs. Violet Keller to cater the birthday of Moira Hanson, one of the knitting circle’s members. With her was a handsome, blond and stocky, green-eyed man. Bee thought he looked familiar. It was Detective Jamie Hanson, the police officer who they met at the campgrounds during their vacation. He was Moira’s grandson. He came to spend time with his grandmother and thus accompanied her to the party. Ruby presented a cupcake to Violet and Moira. When Moira took a bite, all of a sudden she keeled over. Was something in the cupcake that made her pass out? As Moira was recuperating, something happened and she was murdered. Who could have done this to her? It could have been anyone. Was the cupcake given to the right person? The investigation is filled with pitfalls, unexpected twists, multiple motives and surprises that keep you glued right to the end. Once I began reading, I couldn’t put it down. Jamie liked Ruby and Ruby liked Jamie but neither one said anything to each other about it. The romantic element beginning with Jamie and Ruby was charming and I hope it continues. I love the characters. The friendship, camaraderie and love they shared for each other were wonderful! It made you feel like they were your friends and felt like you lived in the town. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. Bee and Ruby are back in Muffin after their disastrous camping trip. They are catering to a party for Moria who is a very rich lady in this small town. Her friend, Violet is hosting the party. Moria and Violet have special cupcakes to share that are a bit different from the other guests. Just as the "Knitting Club" ladies were about to start their 'knitting needles dance' Moria falls out of her chair! Oh did I mention that Detective Handsome from the campground is also here? He is Moria's grandson and is giving Ruby mind double duty. Moria is rushed to the hospital, where she will be fine until someone stabs her with knitting needles and kills her. Bee and Ruby look into this case and find there are secrets abound in this small town! More than a few suspects, but can they discover who it is? This author does not disappoint! This is another wonderful book in the series filled with multiple motives, airtight alibis, jealousy and a cheating politician.

Ruby and Bee have quite a streak of being close by to and mayhem. For ladies who run a mobile bakery truck, it’s uncanny.
Bee may be a former police officer with mad baking skills, and Ruby is a divorcée with a dream .
Their latest adventure brings them close to greedy and jealous friends and family likely to benefit from harm to a certain victim. Other folk are just collateral damage to them
Twisted romance, power plays in politics and bizarre family dynamics come into play- alongside tasty treats
If they survive, might the ladies find someplace to call home?

Overview: Ruby and Bee are back in Muffin, Massachusetts. Their main job will be to cater the "Knit It Good" club's surprise birthday party. It sounds like it could be fun, until the birthday girl keels over. Who would want to hurt Moira? And why is Detective Hanson in town? Let's find out.
Dislikes: The president of the city council is a piece of work. Who is so insecure in such a position that he must use the rumor mill to handle any challenges?
Likes: Detective Hanson really added to the story.
Bee really needed Ruby's help in this one. Sounds like she picked up a stomach bug.
Moira was quite the gifted woman.
Conclusion: This was a fun little story. You have to like bakery based cozy mysteries to have a good time in this world. Enjoy the read.
Fun to see Detective Jamie "Handsome" cross over from the previous installment into this one as promised. When visiting his grandmother in Muffin, he reunite with Ruby who is catering the party. Unfortunately the birthday girl ends up keeled over after eating one of their cupcakes and then dies at the hospital stabbed by knitting needles. Everyone seems to be a suspect including Jamie especially when she finds out he has been lying to her. Was he just too good to be true or will they find they identify the real murderer before he strikes again.

Since I'd recently binge read this series up to the eighth book, I wanted to take time and catch up now that there were two books calling to me. I love how these are such quick, light and fun reads (not to mention yummy when they talk about their baked items) and how great this baking duo sleuths together. These ladies always seem to get their perp, and this time it was no different. I enjoyed that Ruby was able to use her karate and self-defense skills during the showdown with the killer. She might actually have a new love interest--I wonder if that'll make them decide to stay in Muffin longer than they'd planned!
Ruby and Bee cater a birthday celebration for one of the Knitting It Good Club members, however, after eating one of the cupcakes, Moira falls desperately ill. In the middle of another mystery, Ruby is pleased to see handsome Hanson again, only to realize he’s one of the primary suspects. Candy Cake Murder is an enjoyable mystery in a great series. I especially liked Ruby’s breaking and entering skills, where stealth is required.

My heart was racing right along with Ruby at the start of the party. You just know that had to be difficult for her, especially with everything they have gone through so far. It makes me giggle how excited Bee gets though haha. I'm really hoping more comes from that in the future. This is definitely a fun read and interesting to see how it progressed, especially at the end, I'm still unsure how I feel about it.
This was a quick read. Cute little mystery that moves very quickly with good characters. The setting with the small town and the food truck makes for interesting gossip mongering. Can't have a good cozy without gossipers, can you? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love every time I have a chance to visit with Ruby and Bee. I love this cosy mystery. The author sets a great scene. The main characters are interesting. The minor characters make the story memorable. I loved the cattiness and I loved the handsome police officer.

Rosie does it again with another great cozy mystery! The characters are fun and entertaining and you love getting to know them as you turn the pages. The story line is captivating with the right amount of mystery, intrigue, suspense and a bit of humor added in. A great summer evening read.

Another caper from the food truck and the busy bakers. Bee & Ruby like hanging around small towns and operating their food truck. Murder likes to follow them & get them into trouble. The ladies are resourceful and help the police solve crimes. They are the kind of opposites that makes them good companions and I would eat at their counter any time!
Ruby and Bee are thrown under the bus again because an attempted murder happened at a function that they were catering.
Detective 'Handsome' is in on this one. His Grandmother has been poisoned and he is the top suspect after our leading ladies are cleared. Ruby is on the ball with this one, since she is so enamoured with 'Handsome'.
Is she being blinded by Hanson, or will she save the day and Hanson's credibility?
Another crazy adventure for the girls of Bite-Sized Bakery. I absolutely love this series. The characters you meet along the way are each unique and add the story as well as expanding the world Rosie has built for us. Cant wait to see what kind of mischief Ruby and Bee get into next!
Another good entry in the bite-sized bakery series. Ruby and Bee return from vacation and cater a knitting club party for one of the member’s birthday and the lady is poisoned by mistake. She doesn’t die from the poison but is later murdered in the hospital. Ruby and Bee help solve the case. Ruby is asked on a date with the victim’s grandson so we will see what happens next.

Such a good series! This book is a good addition. It’s an easy read. Keeps your attention. I like getting to know the characters better. If you like a good mystery, main characters who work well together even though they are very different and small towns, then you need to read this series.
The author does not disappoint. Ruby and Bee are at it again. However, this time delicious Detective Hanson is a suspect when his grandmother is poisoned.

Cute, short story. The 2 bakers are back in Muffin – catering a birthday party for a knitting group. – Nice party except the birthday girl falls over one bite of their candied sprinkled strawberry cupcakes! Well written, fast read.
Back in Muffin following their camping break this time the murder occurs in the local knitting circle which by all accounts is full of petty rivalries. These older timers will stop at nothing to get their way. Ruby and Bee have to solve these as their sugary treats are involved once again.
Detective Hanson comes to Muffin Massachusetts to see his grandmother and Ruby. But nothing is s it seems and it’s up to Ruby and Bee to solve the murder
